New "Undead Infantry Horde"
= For SF2 (Any and All) and SF/Wo* =
A Horrific New Enemy for the 3rdWire series; just in time for Halloween!! A Just-For-Fun Mod, for folks with twisted imaginations!
Modifications/repaints and ini tweeks to Kesselbrut's Infanty squad now create Legions of the Walking Dead.
A new sound file is included, along with instructions on editing the Soundlist.ini to add it.
Included is a CAS mission on the Desert terrain, so you see how they work. Within that mission, are 6 escaping enemy transport aircraft. As they may be carring infected survivors, they cannot be allowed to escape!! Watchout for enemy air defenses as well! (NOT Zombie-crewed)
As always, fairly simple easy to follow install instructions are included, so give them a read!
Should be usable in SF/Wo*, but this is untested. There should be no reason why not...

= For SF2 ONLY, Full-5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred) =
This pack contains a modification of Geo's German Army Sdkfz-251 "Hanomag" Half-Track. Even though the full vehicle is here (and an extra 'snow camo' skin, still zipped), it's mostly an ini tweek.
What I've done is change it's GroundObjectRole= from TANK to TRANSPORT. This will allow the Game Engine to use them in ARMED_RECON missions.
But beware...
It'll bite back!!!

US M-1 120mm AAA Gun
- For SF2, Any and All -
Simple modifications (read: ini edits) create the 1940s-mid 1950s 120mm radar directed US Auntie-Aircraft gun.
Based on Pasko's KS-30 130mm, as this is the closest shape available. (unless a 3d guy builds a more accurate one). A new 120mm gun is included. As this gun was radar directed, I took a little poetic liscence, and 'built in' the search/track radar to the data ini itself (ala the ZSU-23 and M-51 Skysweeper).
Simple easy to follow instructions are below, in the "To Install" section.

Yellow US Fuel Truck Pak

Yellow US Fuel Truck
= SF/Wo* & SF2 series Games (Any and All!) =
A simple repaint of the stock OD US Fuel truck into a more 'easily' seen and sometimes period correct bright Yellow color. As used by the USAF through the 1950s and 60s; later models did seem to revert to OD and/or Theartre Camo patterns. To that end, the PSD templates are supplied (they're 1024x, so easy to work with) to allow other skinners the opportunity to create other skins.
Designed as a 'stand alone' vehicle, the skin can also be added to the existing (US) FuelTruck (NOT the Zil for Red Side!!) and hopefully, the Game Engine will randomly select it for use in/on the various terrains.
The inis supplied herein are in ANSI format, allowing for use in both 1stGen SF/Wo* and SF2 series.
See the 'To Install' section below for more notes, and how to add to Terrains as a seperate item via _types and _targets editing.
As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. Please read them! This is a perfect addition for use alongside BadFrank's Yellow and Red "Follow Me" jeeps! They'll all add a little color to an otherwise drab setting.

A few more pieces of equipment, to place around airfields or bases, or other 'locations of interest'. The items are:
Bulldozer (-original creator unknown, as it comes from waay back on the WW2 terrains)

Steamroller (these 2 by Sundowner)
It should be noted at this time, these are NOT GroundObjects, like the yellow fuel truck recently released, but TERRAIN objects, that will need hand placement on your terrain of choice. Instructions are below in the "To Add To A Terrain" section.

This is a particularly LARGE download, so give youself some time. Most of the USN vessels are those seen in the recently released WW2 PTO Naval Units Pak; some (like the various cargoships, trawlers, and so forth) you may already have. All are updated to SF2NA standard. Some of the weapons and pilots have also been released recently in some of the aircraft; just allow the overwrite when asked. They're the same items.
As always, fairly easy to follow, highly detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them. Also, give the "Notes" section a read too.

A simple repaint of the stock Zil Fuel truck into something more 'civilian' looking for use around airports and such like. The templates are supplied (they're 1024x, so easy to work with) to allow other skinners the opportunity to create other skins. Also supplied, is a red Phillips 66 skin, easily swapped.
The inis supplied herein are in ANSI format, allowing for use in both 1stGen SF/Wo* and SF2 series.

- added missing Freq data to a number of radars
- implemented numerous tweaks to launchers & radars to standardize data and improve performance

- added RadarFamily data w/ associated TEWs entries and TGAs

Installation:
Simply copy all the files in the respective directory of your game folder.
C\Programm Files\ThirdWire\StrikeFighters
Then open your SOUNDLIST.INI file inside the Flight folder and add these lines:

The purpose of this add-on effect mod is to improve the graphic of wingtip vortex in Strike Fighter 2. I have noticed that wingtip vortex, by default, looks bit unrealistic. So I have decided to improve these, inspired by modders from Combat Ace community, especially by Wrench and Stary. I am very thankful for this wonderful community and I am more than proud to be part of Combat Ace commmunity sharing my hobbies within Strike Fighter 2. INSTALL INSTRUCTION:
1) MAKE SURE YOU back up your EFFECT folder!
2) Extract this file using winrar or 7zip tools and you will see a folder called "Improved Wingtip Vortex v1.0"
3) There are two folders with types of wingtip vortex:
- Straight trails Version = new wingtip vortex effect with straight trails
- Shakey trails Version = new wingtip vortex effect with shakey trails
You can only pick ONE of these two folders, you can't have both at the same time. You can try one of these two version first. Then try other and see which one you like the best. However, inside these folder you will see "Effect" folder, drop them in your strike fighter 2 mod folder and overwrite when asked.
4) ENJOY!

Known BUGS/Problem:
Shakey version of wingtip vortex trails disappears at specific angle when you view them, this is due to nature of 2D. I have tried creating 3D volumetric version of wingtrip vortex, they got too complicated and hogs cpu and memories lot. I had to cancel my project of converting 2D wingtip vortex from 2D to 3D, to avoid heavy cpu and memories hogging for anyone's computer. I intend to make this mod very friendly for any computer. That is exactly why I created two version of wingtip vortex (straight and shakey).

SON-9A "FIrecan" AAA Fire Control Radar

SON-9A "Firecan" by Julhelm.
This model represents a SON-9 (NATO reporting name, Firecan) fire control radar. It's set up to datalink with the KS-19 100 MM AAA gun. I've included the data.ini file with the appropriate network edits to allow that weapon to work in conjunction with the SON-9.
This model is set up as "Static_AAA", as that is the only way that it will work properly. That is, track its target, network with the aforementioned gun types, and to illuminate the "AAA" warning light on an aircraft's annunciator panel.
INSTALLATION:
Simply drop the Firecan and the KS-19 folders into the Objects/GroundObject subfolder, under the Saved Games/Thirdwire/Strike FightersX folder. If warned about a file or folder overwrite (which should be the case for just the KS-19), simply accept the overwrite and continue.
The game engine will automatically place the unit wherever it deems fit.
Known issue: This model will not cast a shadow, and only the developer can rectify that.
Model and textures by Julhelm, data.ini work by Fubar512.
*Be advised to rename/remove/move any other versions of the Firecan*

Replacement Control Tower for the bland stock one.
Just extract,then copy n paste,the Terrains folder to your mods\ SF2E\Terrains\GermanyCE folder,or move the Tower1.LOD and Control Tower.bmp to the above folder.
This will replace all stock tower1 models in any terrain.It wont alter your files as the stock lod isnt available,and this model uses different texture names from stock.
Model and Textures by me.

Also supplied camera positioon,if you know how to edit it,if not will update as soon as I can.

This mod will give you bunch of different camera angles. The positions are for the F-14 Tomcat, so they might seem off when you fly other aircraft. But most of the time this shouldn't bother you. You can edit the positions in the Viewlist.ini if you wish.

2. Copy the included VIEWLIST.INI to your FLIGHT folder.
FEATURES (Key assignments)

Keys ALT+(1 to 7) when pressed with switch to various camera angles on your aircraft. These angles are controllable via the mouse and pressing them continuesly will cycle between all aircraft. When pressed with CTRL+(1 to 7) will switch to previous aircraft.
Key ALT+8 will cycle through all Weapons, friendly and enemy that are in the air. All SAMS, bombs, missiles..
The F5 key is modified based on Stary's Viewlist (FOV settings)
As a plus you can cycles between all aircraft.
The SHIFT+F5 is the default Check Six View. As a plus you can yaw/pitch using the mouse.
F9 key will cycle through all missiles fired by you.
Take note that all these key are free to use in a stock controller.ini. If you have a modified one that merge with caution.
NOTES

On my game, sometimes after I switch from the Weapon Views back to the external view, the sounds of the engine are missing. I have to do a PAUSE/UNPAUSE to cure it. Don't know why this happens...
