SF2 F8F-1 Bearcat, VNAF 12/31/2025
= For SF2, Any and All, But Designed for SF2:V =
Modifications to Geo's Bearcat recreate those as used by the (South) Vietnamese Air Force from the mid 1950s thru the early 1960s. This is a stand-alone, nationalized aircraft mod, with just about everything you'll need. This mod has been 'salvaged' from my unfinished "Vietnam 48" mod (hence the "_FN" suffix, as it was originally for the French).
You'll have 2 new skins, created from Geary's excellent template:
VNAF = Glossy Sea Blue, <1954 (received from the French)
VNAF2 = Natural Metal(ish) Finish <1960
Both skins represent the VNAF's 1st Fighter Squadron. Most markings are decals. National emblems are, however painted on Decal randomization is TRUE for all the serial numbers. There are 26 for each skin. The SF2 date switch is active, and will automatically shift to the NMF skin in 1960
The canopy opens with the Standard Animation Keystroke, Shift/0 (zero). Pilot figures, and WW2 period bombs and drop tanks are included. If you have the Full 7 Merged (with both Expansion Packs), you can change the AN-M64 500 pounders (aka: 500lb_bomb) for the stock 3W version (M64). The 5" HVARs are stock 3W items.
You'll also be adding a new engine sound, and this will need to be added to the Sound list ini, so have that extracted (if you haven't already), and in the /Flight folder in you SF2:V Mods Folder.
As extra special end-of-the-year-gifts, I've included a modified main ini for the stock VietnamSEA terrain, backdating it to start in 1955, after the withdrawal of French forces, and the partition of the country into North and South.
AND!!!! as an Super Extra Added Bonus (tm) You get a new(ish) generic loading screen, for general global use (when no other exists).
On the Aircraft Selection Drop Down menu, you'll see

IAR 80/81 PACK.
I was not originally going to release this pack, as I was unsure of the reaction to a relativley unknown ( unfortunately ) Fighter. but after the relative success of the PZL's I uploaded last week, I though it would be nice to send these IAR's your way too. The IAR's were only ever used by the Romanians, and was in service until the early 50's so that in itself speaks volumes about this rather attractive aircraft.
Anyway, this is a slight rework of Pasko's IAR 80A and 81C, I have also included a <cough> alternative and completely "What if" IAR 80P I shall let you look and see at to what THAT is all about !!!
So, the details, I have edited the original skins, and have reworked ALL the decals, I have added the stencilling as accurately as I could, but there maybe a few errors here and there in the actual positioning of them, as finding detailed pictures of the type is just not there. The stencilling is very sparse, so I think I have got it mainly right ( I hope !! ) I have updated the sounds, and the weapons loadouts, as for some unknown reason, the original bomb loadouts were wrong, So the 80A now carries ONLY 2, 50Kg bombs under the wings, and the 81C has the centreline 250Kg and 2, 50Kg under wing bombs. The 80P however has the original loadout, because why not, it is a "What if" innit hehehehehe. The "real" IAR's in this pack carry German weapons, and are armed with for the 80A 6, 7.9mm FN Brownings, and the 81C has 2 MG151 20mm,s and only 2 of the FN Brownings . The 90P's are armed with ITALIAN bombs, 50, 100, and 250 KG's and gun armament comprises of 4, Breda SAFAT 7.7 mm MG's and a pair of Breda SAFAT 12.7mm MG's.
All the markings have been replaced from the original ones, which I found too bright and "in yer face" and then I added on the differing markings from later years.
Everything is included in the pack, aircraft, decals, guns, pilots, weapons, and sounds. I have boxed everything up so it just a drag and drop kinda deal. One point though, please please PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEZE ensure that the file GunBarrel20mm is in the Pilots folder, or else you will end up with a very odd looking aircraft ( this is for the 81C. ) I also swapped out the Cockpit, as the faux Spitfire one looked awful, so it is now the YAK 9 one instead, not accurate, as all the dials are in Russian, but it does look better.............Well in my humble opinion it does at least. All the sounds I used are in the sounds folder, including the sounds for the guns.
That as they say, is a wrap.
I forgot to credit Starfighter, for the Yak Cockpit, apologies to him for that ommision.
AS ALWAYS...........................ENJOY !!!
PZL P11C.
A makeover of Zur's P11C, redone skins, for 3 Polish and 2 Romanian aircraft, updated sounds, weapons and of course the pilot.
Everything is included in the file, Sounds ( including the one for the guns) Guns, Weapons, Pilot, and of course the Decals.
I was going to do Latvian, Hungarian, and Soviet skins, however as the Latvians and the Hungarians only had one aircraft each, I thought this rather pointless, as for the Soviets, they only had about four or five, I assume the Germans had a couple as well, but in reality, only Poland and Romania used the type operationally.
These are NOT the DAT/A-TEAM aircraft, they were originally done by ZUR for SF1, the DAT ones are a totally different model and LOD.
As always...........ENJOY ....................
SF2 P-51D/K Mustang by Crisis Remod Pack 1/28/2024
-For SF2, Any and All-
Another 1stGen Salvage Project...
This is an SF2 Remod of P-51D Mustang by crisis. Historically this was one of the first aircraft mods released for SF1 in approx 2008. While the model still has some issues (see "Notes"), it's fully functional, and has been upgraded for the SF2 environment. I believe this will be a complimentary aircraft for the stock 3W Mustang (and others).
This mod is supplied with just about all the original skin sets I could find from the 1stGen SF mods section and from Marcfighters archive. Unfortunately, several were not up to snuff, with inaccurate coloration, or had painted-on markings that make it impossible to allow the use of the superb 3W decal system. Therefore several, while replicating the originals, are new builds. These were made from a new template, and it is included. These skin sets cover US Army Air Force (WW2 ETO), USAF (post-war), Korean War units for the USAF, RoKAF, SAAF, and Israeli Air Force directly post-WW2 and during the 1956 Suez Crisis.. Several of the included skins make use of decal sets I created for other mods, as you all know how I hate to waste good decals!!! :)
You will find herein ...
USAAF/USAF:
362nd FS,357th FG (ETO) -1944 start date (NMF)
375th FS, 361st FG (ETO) -Sept, 1944 start date (Camo/NMF/Invasion Stripes under wing/fues)
"USAFSilver", Generic NMF -10/1947 start date
12th FBS, 18th FBG (Korea) -1950 start date
SAAF:
2 Sqdn, SAAF "Flying Cheetahs" -1950 start date
IDFAF:
No.101 Sqdn (NMF) -1948 start date
No.116 Sqdn Blue/Brown Camo (1956<) -Suez Crisis camo scheme
RoKAF:
51st PFS* (ROKAF) -Korean War. #18 is Col. Dean Hess' aircraft, with nose art
*=Provisional Fighter Squadron
98.6% of the markings are decals, with some small exceptions (see notes). Decal randomization is TRUE.
While many skins had to be remade, some are still 'as issued' (un-retouched). All remain in bmp format. As is usual, serial numbers & 'plane in squadron letters' (WW2 & Korea) are as historically accurate as possible. Those fully 100% matched are marked with the star (*), those correct, but unable to match to a individual code letter are marked with the plus/cross (+), those with no mark are generic.
For those units listed in the game's SquadronList ini, my (patent pending) 'fake SqTail' decal is used to activate their name displayed on the Loadout screen. The SF2 'date switch' is used for all services on their respective skin sets.
Sounds and drop tanks are included. All weapons used are also included. If you End Users (tm) have the SF2I expansion that adds the Mustang and WW2 era weapon, feel free to edit the loadout ini to use those stock in-game 3rd Wire items. The data ini has been brought up, as much as possible, to current standards. The FM test drives as fully compatable with SF2.
When in-game, you'll see
P-51D/K Mustang (cr)
on the Aircraft Selection dropdown. This "(cr)" will differenize this one from the 3rd Wire or Wolf357's (and variations thereof). This mod DOES (sorta) cover both the D & K variants, as there's very little (actual) difference between them (one built in Inglewood, CA -D; the other in Dallas, TX -K; albeit with a different prop). Canopy acutation uses the Standard Animation Keystroke (tm), Shift/0.
As is always reccomended, unzip to a temp folder or your desktop to give easy access to the rest of this readme for it's install instructions. Also, give the "Notes" a browse, as it explains certain issues this model has, and the change logs.
Good Hunting and Happy Landings!

FW 190D, this is my final version of this device that includes all the experimental effects never seen in this simulator, this pack contains the plane with its corresponding cabin with 4 historical skins, plus one without insignia, to fly it with the nation you want, the new luftwaffe pilot (there are 2 lods, one with glasses and one without glasses, by default the pilot wears glasses). I included all the weapons of the model F
I hope you enjoy it, more information in the readme file.
