+FLOGGER23 Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 I just saw this and found the Su-9 just as a Su-7 skin with delta wings, when they are a bit different, but once i download it i think i can take care of it and reskin it, regarding the cockpit, The one in use is good even for the Su-15 with some minor changes, so it can be made fyable fairly ok, i hope to make the templates for this one rather quick too, right now (because of Stary and Centurion) i'm making the Il-28/H-5 ones. +Dave Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 I don't need a pit for them. I just shoot them down. 5 Quote
+Stary Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 (edited) I don't need a pit for them. I just shoot them down. yeah plenty of those planes in DCS, right Dave..? right now (because of Stary and Centurion) i'm making the Il-28/H-5 ones. don't blame us! +FLOGGER23 Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 Stary i think i have a bit of detail of the Su-9/11/15 pits, not like the Yak-27/28 so, i can send them when i get home. Quote
+Dave Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 yeah plenty of those planes in DCS, right Dave..? Su's, Migs, Tupolov's, in SF or DCS, they all get shot down equally. I'm not biased. Quote
+daddyairplanes Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 Soooo wait a min. We say Dave defected to the russians, now he says he shoots down migs. Is he........ a double agent!?!!?!??! Back on topic, gotta check out who used the late model spits in NATO...... Quote
macelena Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 I was gonna say "burn" but i´m not willing to get into a mess between a minuteman man and a winged winged hussar 1 Quote
JediMaster Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 Wow. It only took him HOW many years to do this? As soon as he started the DLC thing I thought he should've been doing this. For people like us, we can easily make them flyable and sub a cockpit in. For those who don't care to, it gives them lots more variety to fly with and against. Win win! I know some people here are really into them, and that's fine, but personally I never cared too much about skins. As long as I've got the basics (ie natural metal, naval, camo, etc) I've never really cared if this skin fits that era or is base-appropriate. I'm not a rivet counter I guess. So all those DLC skin packs were a waste to me, and I didn't buy any. I bought a lot of the early flyable DLCs, but the later ones I've passed on like the upgraded Skyhawks and such too. Once I back up my mods and update to this latest patch, I'll finally have some DLCs to get again. I wonder if the notional 3rd one to come (based on SFA plane count) will be the last for now? Quote
+Coupi Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 I like these new TW Spitfires! Su-9 is a good idea... Quote

Wrench Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 DA: chck the user lists for the later spits. I did notice India is missing (ok, Royal IAF) on the 18/22s depending on which mark, Belgium Syria Eqypt (decals and skins for all 3 included) Rhodesia India edit: india IS listed for the mk 18 Quote
+JonathanRL Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 Downloading now - see you in a Spitfire 22 sometime - smoke me a kipper I'll be back for breakfast - tally ho! My first Spitfire mission was against S-99s. A sad tale that this time, the third world war started pretty much like the Second... Quote
+Gocad Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 More Griffon Spitfires than I expected....feels like Christmas. Quote
Wilches Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 Stary, if you plan to build a new Spit cockpit please have this in mind - make two versions. One with the early reflector gunsight (for the wartime Spits) and one with the gyro gunsight for the later versions. Ah, an early normal canopy and a bubble one. Man, Wrench is wright - I´m a pain in the a%$&*! 1 Quote
