2 pointsBeen working on skins and LODs for the N17 and N23, plus separate Lewis gun versions for each.

2 pointsGepard: yes, Zil-157 with an SA-2 on the trailer. IIRC, Kesselbrut built them. I don't know if they're in the SF2 downloads, but should be in SF/Wo* downloads. Look for Zil Truck Pack or something like that. --------------------- Required screenie: 1958: VA-12 gets it's first Skyhawks

2 pointsFound more info about aircraft guns and synchronizers. Rate of fire for the ground version of the Vickers gun was 450-550 rounds per minute (rpm). Minor adjustments to rpm could be made by tightening or loosening the fusee spring. Early British synchronizers (particularly the Ross gear) slowed the rpm to 350-400 rpm, and the situation was not improved until mid-1917 with the introduction of the Constantinesco gear. By war's end, Britain had manufactured 71,355 Vickers guns (both ground and air) while Colt had built 4,000 Vickers guns for aircraft use. Britain delivered 10,544 Vickers aircraft guns to France by December 1918. Birmingham Small Arms (UK) and Savage Arms Company (US) shipped at least 6,842 Lewis guns to France. Meanwhile, domestic French production ramped up during the war: Regis Darne delivering 3,266 Lewis guns and Milde delivering 1,100 Lewis guns. France used at least four different variants of the basic Lewis design, all differences being minor detail changes. Throughout the entire war, it proved difficult to balance gun production with airframe production. This probably accounts for the confusing variation in gun/synchronizer installations. For example, the Windsock data file for the Breguet 14 clearly shows delivered aircraft mounting overwing Lewis guns, instead of the standard Vickers gun. There simply were not enough aircraft Vickers guns to meet the demand, a situation that worsened in 1917 with the Allied introduction of two-gun fighters.

1 pointits a fake pilot. little method for adding things to the original model. it would appear you do not have something loaded in your pilots folder that you should have iirc. that lil guy tends to show in the "center" of an aircraft as thats the default for the main position go back and reexamine the instructions for your download (found in the readme). should tell you what you missed

1 pointwell, appreciate if the very low-poly ADI ball gets some fix. That is the bad part of the old pit.
-
1 pointNot quite. Have you tried my AWACS mods? Flying a recon mission as AWACS and handling the two escort fighters to take care of a total of 6 to 12 enemy flights and coming home in one piece, inclding your escort, could be quite a ride. Give a try and tell me what you think. Soon I will release a pack of AWACS for this very mod. (E-3D, E-3F, E-3A Saudi, E-3A, E-767 and the Swedish one.

1 pointPlease could you do this with the stock f-15 cockpit too? Brain32 did a mod back in the wings over days, but the SF2 cockpit adds some knobs and toggles that make simply copying over the relevant .bmp an inadequate solution unless it is redone again.

1 pointThe only difference between the 2 pits is on the MFD section. otherwise the LODs are the same. The repaint should work 100% with F-15C Baz, other than cockpit.ini needs the new input that I threw in.

1 pointVonS has cranked out a large number of new aircraft folders containing all the essential files for Nieuport 17 and 23 aircraft - including separate Lewis gun versions for the RFC. Now, its my turn to crank out a bunch of N17/23 files, with and without Lewis guns. Because of the weight and drag penalty, very few Nieuports mounted both Vickers and Lewis guns.

1 pointwhile the easiest way around it, there would still be a substantial number of aircraft unavailable; Me-110/210/410s, Boston/Havoc, Manchester, Sunderland, Swordfish, Skua, Barracuda, He-111, Ju-52, Blenheims, Beaufort, Battle, Ar-234, Hampden, some Ju-88 variants, Ta-152/FW-190 (unitl the Argentine modder gourp finishes theirs). Many of our existing aircraft (Bf-109s & FW-190s*) are exceedingly old (2005-ish) and show their age. If one can live within those restrictions, well, it's very workable. Many have been replaced by CA modders (Hurricanes, early Spitfires -Mk9 and later are stock 3W birds). But you'd also be missing their campaign files, so be limited to single missions Also, we DO NOT discuss, EVER, "alternate download links". That "person" will most likely cause some kind of shitstorm here if/when he gets wind of it. So be advised. Behind the scenes file sharing is not allowed, permitted. Especially with them. We may not like them, but we still have to respect their rules and permissions on their "copywrited" files *=the Argentine boys are also working on the 190A series as well

1 pointI think your best bet is to put together an ETO centered installation using aircraft/files available here at CombatAce.

1 pointMore shots from the epic battle over the Alps. A couple of buddies said they look like something Howard Hughes might have filmed when making Hell's Angels. A key component of the immersion is gterl's excellent Italian map, with some tweaks by Quack74 and VonS.
