3 pointsIIRC, Sea Power, they're Triassic Games, they were (with ?) Killerfish previously, they already published War on the Sea, Atlantic Fleet, Pacific Fleet and Cold Waters. As much as a loss it is to SF2, they seem to have life happen to them and seem to be on a reasonnably succesful roll so I'm glad for them.

1 pointOFFICIAL USAF DOCUMENT CLASSIFIED: TOP SECRET Ground Strike Mission Orders Ha'il - Jan 17, 1991 PRIMARY TARGET INTELLIGENCE SUMMARY: Saddam's Elite Republican Guards are known to be the primary threat to our ground forces when the ground war begins. Accordingly, CENTCOM has ordered the destruction of these units by our air forces to commence immediately. OBJECTIVE: Photograph the Rep. Guards at Baiji SECONDARY TARGET INTELLIGENCE SUMMARY: An experimental search and tracking radar system is being installed at an enemy SAM site. Sources indicate it may already be operational. Detailed, low-altitude photos are required as soon as possible. OBJECTIVE: Photograph the SAM radar at Al Kumayt I usually don't like what ifs, but a funny take on the ODS 30AE mod brought me to rediscover @Julhelm's fantastic F-19, which was released as part of the RSR mod by eburger68. I've been making lots of changes to it, including adding proper hit boxes and collision points, reworked skins and aircraft characteristics and loadouts meant to resemble the ones of Microprose's F-19 Stealth Fighter game. Julhelm's original F-19; missing hit boxes and featuring a bubble canopy Reworked F-19 featuring a caged canopy ala F-106 (by repainting the canopy glass), proper hit boxes, more collision points and reworked skins (euro camo skin by kblomkvist, no markings skin by yours truly) It still features two weapon bays (unlike Microprose's exaggerated four bays), but with properly reworked limits; you can have 4x Sidewinders or 3x AMRAAMs in one of the bays, 2x bombs and AGMs (sometimes just 1x), depending on overall weight and size. A 20mm cannon is on the nose with 680 rounds, and an extra 1,900 lbs fuel cell has been added for a total of 11,800 lbs of fuel; non-afterburning engines. An (invisible) arrester hook has been added since Microprose's version could also operate from aircraft carriers. I'll be asking Julhelm for his permission to eventually re-release it, with due credits to him of course. I wish the 3d model could be edited, so we could have a proper caged canopy instead of a painted bubble canopy, as well as a visible arrester hook. We have no proper fictive cockpit for it, ideally I'd like to have the canopy frame of an F-106 and MFDs of an Hornet.

1 pointMy understanding is that they have access to all of the YAP mods. I’m sure an announcement will be made in due course.

1 pointWar Journal – Lieutenant David Armstrong Hawkwood 23 Squadron, Royal Flying Corps Izel-lès-Hameau, France Part 27 "The Hun zoomed vertical, stalled, and fell away beneath us in a spin." During the last ten days of July, there was a noticeable beefing up of the German defences in the face of our attacks. King and I flew twice on 22 July, taking many photographs of new enemy trenches and wire in the area of Le Sars and Courcelette. Rain and low cloud swept in on 23 July, frustrating our further efforts. Major Ross-Hume again insisted on sending up a machine that morning. Within half an hour of taking off into the dense cloud, the thing hit a hillside several miles away. Both pilot and observer merged miraculously unhurt, but the observer, a young officer recently arrived from the Manchesters, was so shaken by his experience that he has requested to return to the trenches. We had good fortune on 24 and 25 July. On both days we photographed enemy defences and returned unscathed with many good plates. On 26 July, we conducted a reconnaissance of roads and rail lines east and north of Martinpuich. The clouds were too low for good photographic work to be done, so King made extensive sketches and notes. Archie was merely sporadic and thoughts of eggs and bacon were filling my head when suddenly two rounds smacked into the side of the nacelle, only inches from my elbow. I turned about as quickly as the Fee would allow. A Hun biplane, likely a Halberstadt, flashed overhead. Two Fokkers passed beneath. King instantly threw his notebook to the floor and readied his forward Lewis gun. We turned about several times. The Germans showed themselves only for a second here and a second there. I reversed our turn from right to left. A Fokker appeared above us and to the left. I brought our machine up behind it and King’s Lewis gun began barking out in short, five-round bursts. A thin stream of smoke or vapour began to trail from the Hun machine. Looking all about, we saw no other HA. The damaged Fokker was heading home and we were able to catch up with it. King gave it a long burst. The Hun zoomed vertical, stalled, and fell away beneath us in a spin. We lost sight of it. On our return to Le Hameau, we reported the Fokker as falling out of control. It certainly seems that way to us. Unfortunately, we had no witness and Wing modified our claim to “driven down”. I have at least the satisfaction of thinking that this is the second Hun that King and I have accounted for. We made a point of heading into the village for a celebratory tea that afternoon. The rain returned and continued through the first day of the new month.

1 pointThe F/A-18EA Argentinian Hornet is a special F/A-18E variant operational in the Argentinian Air Force. The plane was acquired in early 2010, along with missiles and precision guided munitions. Several modifications, realized by INVAP and FADeA ended up with the creation of the EA variant, wich is capable of firing French SBUs and Exocets. Releasing soon.

1 pointHi guys! I've been tampering with something, and although I haven't been around here as much as I used to, I'm pretty sure this wasn't covered before. To finally get to the point and spare you the drama about me having less free time and yadda,yadda,yadda...you know how you have loadouts sorted into: RECON, AirToAir, Strike,SEAD etc? Of course you do, well now thx to the mission editor you can add more like this: 1. First of course you edit your "beloved" loadout.ini for example just adding this: [Custom01] Loadout[01].WeaponType= Loadout[01].Quantity=1 Loadout[16].WeaponType=AIM-120A Loadout[16].Quantity=1 Loadout[17].WeaponType=AIM-120A Loadout[17].Quantity=1 Loadout[18].WeaponType=AIM-120A Loadout[18].Quantity=1 Loadout[19].WeaponType=AIM-120A Loadout[19].Quantity=1 Loadout[24].WeaponType=AIM-120A Loadout[24].Quantity=1 Loadout[25].WeaponType=AIM-120A Loadout[25].Quantity=1 Save it and go off into the game, now don't just set a quick mission and fly messing again with your loadouts but enter mission editor and check this out dudes: It's there And it sure works I quad-checked it and as you can see you can add many of them, so if you have more than one favorite loadout it's now very easy to use it in-game. So there you go, if you already knew this then...why didn't anybody told me?!!!
