7 pointsI guess the more hardcore flight sim fans remember the RAH-66 from Enemy Engaged. For me, my love for this helicopter comes from one of NovaLogic's finest games, Comanche Gold: What a coincidence, in my little spare time these days I've been revisiting a mod I made for Comanche Gold. Looking forward to it, @Dels! I'd be happy to contribute by making woodland, desert and snow skins based on the ones from Comanche Gold.

3 pointsI'll need the "Luck Of The Irish" to survive this one..... Happy St. Patrick's Day Never was a sentiment so heartily wished to be true....
-
3 pointsIt has been a year since. Past december I added 36 new .tod files to the terrain (=buildings and trees), amongst some other small adjustments. But I never uploaded it, until now. Also added an unrelated download package to my website: Ropucha Landing Craft.

2 pointsG'Day all, My next project is the RAH-66 Comanche. There will be two versions - with and without the Longbow radar. So far I've done the modelling, animations and texture mapping, so there's still a little while to go... Dels

2 pointsGoing vertical. BTW. The black square at the nose of the MiG-23 is not a so called "fake cockpit". It is there to avoid reflexions of the skin in front of the IR-sensor.

1 pointhi, @wrench: i guessed that this is the problem; by publishing it here i wanted to make it known to the developpers of the revamp-series @potentesciamo: the "glitch" i mentioned is not the overlay of debug-informations - which is quite easyly avoided - but the hybrid mig-21/mig-17 in the shelter, sort of "overlayed" parking aircraft as Wrench pointed out. thank you for the answers ;-) cheers sokol

1 pointIf you want to learn more about eastern combat helicopter doctrine you could look in my book "Mi-24". The basic tactics of attack planes were more or less similar. Only the weapon delivery was different.

1 pointI worked on the mask of the sea tiles, to avoid the different colors between sea and coastal tiles. First step. You see the differences between already reworked tiles and the others. Second step: All tiles reworked. It will need a third step. If you look carefully on the coastline, you see sharp edges between sea and land. This has to smoothtly blend.

1 pointHi Volks, another try to give the Phantom's Rader an immersive upgrade.... i tried to move the scope (graphicly alittle bit bihind the scope glass. because the Pilot's Screen is not directly bihinde the Scope glass like that from the WSO. But my problem....how can change the Radr position????? I can change the viewpoint, but not the Screen information. Like the Horizon Bar the Elevation Strobe... and so on. It's out of the center. because i move for psydo 3D th screen allitle bit up. the screenshot is Level Flight. but the Horizon and elevation is too low...

1 pointHello! Above you will find the instruction to get rid of the DEBUB informations on your screen. Here is also the correct HUDData.ini, yoy can put inside the FLIGHT folder. Could you please tell us in what mission are you experiencing this issue? As Wrench said, there is a super-imposition of a game generated parked plane (camo MiG-17) over a static terrain static plane (silver MiG-21). This should not happen within the 102 included missions, but we could have miss something. We always advice not to create random missions, but only to play the given ones. Finally, looks like the best base game to play YAP RW PO EE (2025) is definitively Strike Fighters 2 Complete Edition (SF2CE). HUDData.ini
-
1 pointAs already mentioned, the problem is in the (Flight) huddata.ini file. I solved it myself without much research by copying the file from the "healthy" FS-RW mod and overwriting it in the faulty mod. In my case it was YAP-RW.

1 pointThank you all for the posts and replies. Sorry for the bugs, looks like there always is something to fix. Once we have gathered a number of issues and fixed them we will release an updated version. The "white information text" on the screen is the DEBUG we use while working and editing the game. We forgot to switch it off, sorry. But you can easily make it disappear by pressing the NumPad "." key (also CANC/DEL) in the right side of the keyboard. That will cycle 4 modes (ON/OFF/partial/no pop-ups). Otherwise, you can also edit the HUDData file inside the FLIGHR folder. See the picture below. As for the exploding planes and CTDs, YAP RW (as the original YAP3 was) is not designed to play random missions, but only to be played within the inluded, manually edited missions. As far as we know, those issues happen because if you try to generate a random misson, the game engine looks for objects which are not included in the package and then crashes. Exploding planes are also caused by the game, which puts an aircraft over another on the runway, making them crash before starting. If the mission starts in the middle of the jungle or just nowhere, is because in YAP there are many more "airfields" than in the stock game, but some of them are fake. They are in fact cities and this trick was made to make them light up at night and enhance the night experience. As you can see, there are a few restrictions, caused by the fact that the 1st and the 2nd Gen of the game are not fully compatible, but if you just play the 102 included missions you'll be fine. Tha's why we also obscured the "Campaign" button, which also caused the game to crash. Thanks.
