6 pointsnow that i've finished my bit for the F-35 remod, I can get back to terraining. In this case, the "Espana" map from Op.Pelayo. Been working on and off on it since late last year. Made a lot of corrections and retiling. All airports have been rebuilded and are complete, excepitng for minor eye candies. I'll have to stop work on it for a week or so sometime over the next few days, and I'm going to have to learn Winge 11 when my BRAND NEW MACHINE ARRIVES!!!!! (and none too soon -- this one is starting to really act out). Of course, reinstalling every-damn-thing!! (good part is, I get to finally use the full SF2 pack with all the DLCs I bought years ago!) As you can see below, using my (patent pending) special tiles, Ceuta looks a bit more like itself then before. There are about 5 or 6-ish new tiles, mostly ports, and so forth. This terrain has a lot of flaws, and I'm trying to correct as many I can (other wise Macalana and Stratos will yell at me <gr>)

4 pointsFor the downtown tile i used amixture between skyscraper TOD objects and a target area with skyscraper LOD objects. This gives me the chance to change the skyline of different cities. The TOD obejcts will be the same in every city, the LOD buildings can be set by free. The bluish buildings are LOD objects, the greyish buildings are made by TOD.

2 pointsHere are pics of Farids beautiful new original SU-34 3D model (with a FLAT nose, ha, ha, ha). along with some of his skins with his permission.. .(this model is new and is not the former 3D SU-34 model previously posted on Combatace which "shall not be named." We are collaborating on this project. I am doing .inis and he has done the 3D model. He is working on a beautiful 3D cockpit. He needs to finish it before release . I have my finished stand-in SU-34. I have not decided to release my stand-in for now because it has an incorrect nose shape. Cheers!

1 pointHello everyone! The work on Wrench (Razbam) F2H-2 / 3 / 4have been completed now. In this projects, I learned how to edit the cockpit by moving or hide certain objects. With that, I am able to fix two things: - Move the 'reflector box" a bit forward, so the instrument / radar can be seen better. - Removed the reflector glass and applied Reflector glass by HUD method (Since there is no texture assigned to the canopy glass front of cockpit.) Here is F2H-2 screenshots: What I have researched from flight manual and online about F2H-3 (AN/APQ-51) and F2H-4 (AN/APG-37) FCS and radars. What I have experienced from the flight manuals; The USA combat aircraft's flight manual does not always have information on FCS / radar easily available, they are usually in separated manuals. So therefore, the information can be vague often. Therefore, I am required to research and connect the dots, especially do an educated guesses with the missing puzzles pieces (Information / data / pictures). Anyway, I found the picture from flight manual, which appears to be An/APQ-41 radar (F2H-3) In-game screenshot: This is interesting part, one of aircraft that uses Hughes FCS (E-10) and An/APG-37. The information and pictures of Hughes E-10 FCS + AN/APG-37 radar scope is quite challenging to find. So based on what makes sense, I am using the texture based on MG-4 FCS + AN/APG-37 used by F-86K. 1 pointToday I experienced a thing that was new to me. While testing @Cliff7600 skin for the F-103 intercepting some Harbin H-5 Beagles, I got hit by a tail gunner and caught fire, fire was extinguished after some seconds, but my engine was dead so as I was high and fast started to glide to a nearby airfield, when I tried to hit CTRL + I and the engine restarted!! I made a controlled landing with power and man that was fun and rewarding!

1 pointIn a not to far future, when Canada has become a member of the EU, the Canadian Air Force will use Eurofighters instead F-35.

1 pointAs i mentioned up there,DVST & MSDG had analog version of APQ-120. they can't show any numbers or words or even range & azimuth gride, so they draw range & azimuth on Scope glass like this, technically DVST & MSDG scopes hadn't any difference in front cockpit.

0 pointsI was a kid living in Izmir, Turkey. My father was an AF MSgt assigned to 6ATAF, aka Disco Hit, a mountain fortress just outside of the city. My father came home and told us the Marines barracks in Beirut had just been bombed. We had only been in Turkey for 6 weeks. 241 Marines and other personnel we killed. Only few miles away, another suicide bomber hit the French barracks killing 58. We were put on lock down in our apartments and school was closed. At the Kordon Hotel, in downtown Izmir, where the American military used as billeting while waiting to find a place to live, they found a black Mercedes on blocks loaded with explosives. My friend Brain Hardenberg (whose dad was my fathers commander) and I had just walked past that very car a day before, and thought nothing of it. The reason I remember it, it was up on blocks and Brian and I wondered why someone would park a car in the alley on blocks and leave it. Imad Mughniyeh was the mastermind of the bombing and continued to plan more up until he died of car bombing this year. How ironic. It was a sad day and I can't believe to took a newspaper article to remind me of what day it was. RIP S!
