Showa/Nakajima L2D "Tabby" (for SF2 WW2 PTO)
By Wrench
Showa/Nakajima L2D "Tabby" WW2 IJN Transport
== For WW2 PTO SF2, Any and All, =WITH= SF2:I Expansion Pak1 ==
*Note: can be used in any PTO centric install, BUT you MUST have Expansion Pak 1 to gain access to the stock 3W C-47A this is based on.*
This is a mod of the stock 3rdWire C-47A into the Japanese-built L2D, code named "Tabby" by the Allies. This mod also replaces my eariler 1stGen version, based off the DAT C-47, and reuses those very same decals.
The cockpit ini, whilst the standard Skytrain one, has been converted to metric measurments. ALL insturmentation labeling remains in English. A new nation has been added, and instructions for adding "IJN" to your WW2 nations ini are included in the "To Install" section. Although not required, it's an option
The aircraft has been reskinned in a redish-brownish color seen on many IJN aircraft, and represents aircraft from the 4th Kantai Transport Division (the only unit I could find references and tail codes for). Tail code decals for 18 aircraft are included. Decal randomization is set to TRUE.
As always, READ the enclosed readme for full, detailed instructions. This package has been broken down into the various folders that SF2 needs, to make it a LOT easier to install (read: drag and drop).
Just another mod I had sitting on the HD, collecting stray electrons. Thought I finish it off, and get it out the door. Although of no practical use in-game, it will give you another parked aircraft to strafe.
have at it!

SF2 Ki-43 Hayabusa (Oscar) Pak (by Wolf257)

Nakajima Ki-43 Hayabusa "Oscar" Pak for SF2 (Wolf257)
-- Something for the PTO players --
= For SF2, Full-4/5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred) =
*There is a possibility that this mod will =NOT= work in SF/Wo* 1stGen game installs, due to the
excessive modifications made to fit them into the SF2 environment.*
Mods/reskins/redcalings for Wolf257's Ki-43 IJAAF WW2 aircaft. This package contains the full
aircraft, 'rebuilt' into several variants:
Allowing for physical differences that cannot be changed between variants, this package contains
the following aircraft:
Ki-43i
Ki-43ic
Ki-43IIB
Ki-43III
For a listing of Sentai, consult the various aircraft aircraft folders. Remember, this LOD is
from 2004, the MAX files are unavailable, so it is as it is. Compliants on the physical model
will be ignored.
All skins are in jpg format, Decal Randomization is TRUE (for the one skin that has numbers).
Chutai markings for all but the 'green' skin are decals. All get new SF2 versions of the original
'box art' hangar screens (it's the same screen reused for all!). DDS damage textures and
Destroyed models are included for all (taken from the WW2 terrains).
Due to the mapping being the same, what with the same lod being used for all, all skins are
easily transferable between the different variants. In truth, 99.9% of Oscar units used all the
variant at some point during the War.
All have (pretty much the same, with slight differences) semi-compliant SF2 Flight Models, but
they do need further fine tuning by experts. All lighting is 100% historically correct.
All weapons, guns, a pilot figure and sounds are included.
As always, fairly easy to follow, highly detailed install instructions are included. So, please
read them. Also, give the "Notes" section a read too. All original readmes, if I'd found them,
are included for historical purposes.
Happy Hunting!

SF2 PTO - Zero and Rufe Pak
By Wrench
SF2 Zero and Rufe Pak
-- Something for the PTO players --
= For SF2, Full-4/5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred) =
*There is a distinct possibility that this mod will =NOT= work in SF/Wo* 1stGen game installs, due to the excessive modifications made to fit them into the SF2 environment.*
This is a Compliation Pakcage of all the Mods/Reskins/etc for ArmorDave's A6M "Zero".
Included in this pack are:
A6M2 Type 21
A6M2 "Sen Baku" by Christian59
A6M5 Type 52a
A6M5C Type 52c
A6M7 Type 63
A6M2-N Rufe floatplane (both the early and late model sets - 'plane white-ish', and Camo green).
All have a (semi) compliant SF2 FM - however, as always, further tweeking may be necessary by experts. Personally, I think they're just a hair 'too good', but they fly very nicely.
Data ini edits add the SF2NA style 'carrier based statements', so they can/will fly from IJN carriers on terrains that have the proper naval map statements and _water.bmp. And if you posess operational IJN CVs (there's a WW2 ship pak in the works)
Pilot figures (including the fakepilot & pylons), weapons, sounds and a gun are included. Decal radomization is TRUE for all, and all skin maps are jpgs. New, SF2 versions of the 'box art' hangars and loading screens are included.
As always, fairly easy to follow, highly detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them. Also, give the "Notes" section a read too.
All original readmes, where discoverable, are included within their individual aircraft & skin folders.
Due to the age of these models, and the lack of access to the MAX files, any and all physical errors canNOT be fixed. They are 'as they are'.
Happy Hunting!

SF2 WW2 PTO D3A1 Val Pak

SF2 WW2 D3A1 "Val" Dive Bomber
-- Something for the PTO players --
= For SF2, Full-5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred) =
*There is a distinct possibility that this mod will =NOT= work in SF/Wo* 1stGen game installs, due to the excessive modifications made to fit them into the SF2 environment.*
This is a compilation of all my work for Pasko's D3A1 Val. It is designed to replace ALL the previously released versions. So, be advised.
There is one aircraft in the pack with a multitude of skins:
IJN Carriers at Pearl Harbor (all 6)
IJN Carriers at Midway (all 4)
IJN mid-late war (carrier AND Land Based, 1 each)
12 skin/decal sets in all. Numbering is as historically accurate as days and weeks of research can determine (including work for the original release some years ago)
A semi-compliant SF2 Flight Model has been cobbled together, but it REALLLLLLY do needs further fine tuning by experts. I'm NOT happy at all with it; somebody PLEASE make the necessary adjustments. (do we have a begging smilie??)
All skins are jpg format. Decal randomization is set to TRUE, but this may NOT be historically correct; Squadron and Flight leaders used 3, 2 and 1 color bands on the tail to identify themselves. With randomizaion set TRUE, the No.1 Bird will be 'whatever' is chosen by the GameEngine . Research has shown the Squadron Commander (and suboritinate Flight leaders) tended to 'lead from the front', so if the randomization is bothersome, simply edit the required inis, and remove it.
SF2 versions of the old 'box art' Hangar and Loading screens are included.
Sounds, weapons, etc and so forth are included. As a bonus, I finally figured out the canopy animation, so use Shift/0 to open and close the cockpit window. Wingfold however, is NOT working as that was never built into the LOD. SF2NA Carrier Based Statements have been adjusted to suit.
As always, fairly easy to follow, highly detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them. Also, give the "Notes" section a read too. Information on the 'bombbay' is interestering to note!
All readmes from the original releases, and re-releases are included where discoverable from the archives.

SF2 WW2 PTO Ki-27 Nate Pak
By Wrench
SF2 WW2 Ki-27 "Nate"
-- Something for the PTO players --
= For SF2, Full-5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred) =
*There is a distinct possibility that this mod will =NOT= work in SF/Wo* 1stGen game installs, due to the excessive modifications made to fit them into the SF2 environment.*
This is a compilation of all my work, and anyone elses I could find, for Wolf's K-27 Nate IJAAF fighter. It is designed to replace ALL the previously released versions. So, be advised.
This pak comprises the complete aircraft, with several skins from differing time frames of WW2. Most are for those units based in China, Indo-China/Malaysia and Burma regions, with one I've been able to ID as being used in Japan in the last days of the war. Skins are by myself and Jeff "pcpilot" Gerald.
It has semi-compliant (VERY! semi!) SF2 Flight Models, but they REALLLLLLY do need further fine tuning by experts (meaning: it turns on a dime, and gives back 9.5 cents change).
All skins are in jpg format, and decal randomization (for those with ID numbers) is set to TRUE. the 77 Sentai skins use decals for the Chutai markings. I've tried, as best as possible, to use the 'StartDefaultDate' on all skins to limit the availability for pre-War markings from those that came into being post-American entry into WW2. 2 of these skins are Sentai that operated in Manchuria against the Soviets in the Late 1930s.
A new SF2 version of the old 'box art' Hangar Screen is included.
Sounds are included (which you prolly have anyway, along with the bombs and drop tanks.) A new glass tga finally allows the aircraft to have visible windows.
As always, fairly easy to follow, highly detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them. Also, give the "Notes" section a read too.
All readmes from the original releases, and re-releases, are included where discoverable from the archives.
This will give the AVG guys something to go up against -- 77 Sentai was one of their main antagonists.
Also included is my HomeGrown Template . It too, could use some enhancing.
Remember folks, the physical model is very old; "it is as it is", and any flaws/faults cannot be fixed without the unavailable MAX files.

SF2 WW2 PTO Ki-43 Oscar by ArmorDave

= For SF2, Full-4/5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred) =
*There is a distinct possibility that this mod will =NOT= work in SF/Wo* 1stGen game installs, due to the excessive modifications made to fit them into the SF2 environment.*
This is an SF2 version of my 1stGen "AD Oscar Update Pak". I'd forgotten to upload it (what with all the personal computer drama lately...and still ongoing...) so here it is now.
Unlike the original SF/Wo* pak, I've created all 3 skins for the 11 Sentai; each of the 3 Chutai are represented by different color lightning bolt on the tail.
The other skin included is 1 Sentai, 3 Chutai, iirc, from the CBI region.
All skins are jpg, and as these Sentai used no individual aircraft numbers, the only marking are the tail decals (for 11 Sentai)
As expected, it has a semi-compliant SF2 Flight Models, but they do need further fine tuning by experts.
To diferentiate it from the Wolf Oscar, in-game you'll see the displayed name:
Ki-43-Ia "Oscar" (AD)
As always, fairly easy to follow, highly detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them. Remember -- these are very old models, so they "are as they is". All original readmes, when discoverable, are included.

SF2 N1K1 Rex and N1K2-J George
By Wrench
SF2 N1K1 "Rex" and N1K2-J 'George"
-- Something for the PTO players --
= For SF2, Full-4/5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred) =
*There is a possibility that this mod will =NOT= work in SF/Wo* 1stGen game installs, due to the excessive modifications made to fit them into the SF2 environment. Also, the DestroyedModel referenced for both aircraft 'looks' for the SF2V A-1 Skyraider, hence the Full 4/5 Merged reccomendation*
Mods/reskins/redcals for Wolf257's IJN fighter, and Pasko's Rex Floatplane. This package contains BOTH full aircraft:
N1K1 Kyofu "Rex" by Pasko, with both it's skins/decals
"Black" - Ohtsu Kokutai, Lake Biwa, Japan, Sept. 1944
"Green" 22 Kokutai, Balikpapan, Borneo, 1945
N1K2-J Skinden-kai "George" by Wolf257, with 3 skins/decals
"343" Genda's Squadron of Experts
"IJN" 210 Kokutai, Phillipines, 1944 (real Ku used the early model mid-wing N1K1-J)
"IJN2" Yokosuka Air Group, 1945, Home Islands Defense
All George skins are in jpg format, the Rex keeps them in bmp as they are quite small (512x), and conveting them might loose some detailing (meaning: I didn't want to create new templates, and they look OK as they are). Decal Randomization is TRUE. Both get new SF2 versions of the original 'box art' hangar screens.
All weapons, (ok a new drop tank), pilot figures, are included. A new (almost) SF2-compliant FM for bot was created. As always, since I'm really not an FM Guru, further tweeks/adjustments are necessary. Also, the physical models are quite old, and any flaws/defects/etc cannot be repaired/fixed/etc. It is as it is. The "FakePilot" method is used on the George to add the belly pylon. Outerpylons are still 'not there' for bombs. Damage textures are the 'original' tgas from Gen1.
Stary was kind enough to revist and fiddle a new cockpit for the George; the Rex keeps it's original release version.
Both have semi-compliant SF2 Flight Models, but they do need further fine tuning by experts. All lighting on both aircraft is 100% historically correct.
For those wishing to create other serials, the "TNum.psd" can be found in the Decals folders for the proper skins.
As always, fairly easy to follow, highly detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them. Also, give the "Notes" section a read too. All original readmes, when locatable, are included for historical purposes

WoX Proj 1 Missions
By bop1701
These are some missions I've made over the years learning about the WoX series of games work. They're mostly F-4 missions. They require various terrains and aircraft that have been made available on this site. If you don't have the terrain, get it. If you don't have a particular aircraft, get it or change it out for one you do have. This page is outstanding to help you understand the code: http://combatace.com/topic/29345-annotated-single-mission/
If the missions don't work on your pc, sorry but they're free so you can't complain too much. If they work, hope you have fun with them.
Thanks to TK for making a great series of flight sims, and everyone on this board who've made aircraft, terrains, etc., and who've made this game outstanding. Thanks to the modders, tilesetters, and brain trustees that contribute and share here.

F-105D PSD Layered Templates for SF2
By Centurion-1
These are layered Photoshop templates for the stock Thirdwire F-105D sized 1024x1024. These are made partially by hand and partially by superimposing modified stock USAF silver textures, so the overall detail is 99% of the default skins + a little extra in the form of new paint chips and weathering.
Credits:
Me
Ludo M.54 for initial work (rivets and panel lines)
To be noted i use blending effects to achieve uniform colors a lot so if some layer does not change color if you try a hue/saturation change, that's why. So go instead to Blending options and color overlay. I use this to achieve uniform coloring on all textures.
Have fun!

T-64 package
By Gepard
T-64 package
***********
This package contains the versions
T-64A
T-64B
T-64BV
The T-64 was the first panzer of a new generation. He featured a lot of new technology like autoloader, multilayer armour, smoothbore gun etc. long before western panzers could counter it.
His weakpoint were the engine and the running gear.
Because the T-64 looked very similar to the T-72 i used the WOE stock T-72 to make the T-64. I modified the texture and the data.ini

INSTALLATION
Simply unzip all files into your /objects/GroundObject folder

Su-22M4 Fitter-K "Susi"

Su-22M4 Fitter-K "Susi"
***************************************************
Credits
***************************************************
This is a mod of Armourdaves Su-17 Fitter C. Dave, thanks for the permission to use your files.
My little share was to introduce the HUD and some modifications of the Data.ini. I implemented the guided weapons, added armour, reduced the fuel consumtion and modified the european style camo skin to a fictive east german Susi skin.
***************************************************
Su-22M4
***************************************************
The M4 was the last and most advanced version of the swing wing Fitter family. It was an unique combination of the very robust Fitter design and high developed computer technology.
It was known for it high survival capabilities. While in use in the LSK/LV (East German Air Force) the very robust Ljulka engine "eats" some birds and in one occasion a complete pitote tube without to suffer damage. While life firing tests in the USSR the tanks of the "Susi" were rippled by 12.7 mm and 23 mm bullets with the only result, that the technicians found the bullets "swimming" in the fuel. It was also said, that during Lebanon war 1982 not one single Su-22 was destroyed by israeli ground fire.
While the first Su-22 were simple dumb iron droppers the M4 had a wide range of high sophisticated guided Air to Ground missiles. This missiles were guided by Laser, TV and gave this bird a limited stand off capability. The high accurate missiles proved lethal pin point hit capability during Afghanistan campaign. Anti radar missiles were also part of the "Susi" armament.

INSTALLATION
**********************************************
1. unzip into your aircraft folder
subfolders will be automatically created
2. Copy the files of Pilot folder to your aircraft folder
Thats it! Enjoy flying.
3. If you dont use the Weaponpack and want to wish to use the Cha-25 guided missiles, open folder Su-22M4\Weapons and follow the instructions of the readme file there.

Orjol (Orel) soviet aircraft carrier
By Gepard
TAKR Orjol
In the 70th the Soviet Navy had a high ranking aircraft carrier project (project 1153 Orjol). It was cancelled by Marshall Gretschko who favored the baby carriers of the Kiev class.
Searching the net for information i found, that the Orjol was planned as a counterpart to the american attack aircraft carriers with similar design and a tonnage between 70.000 and 80.000 tons.
Thatswhy i used the stock CV-63 of WOE for making the Orjol carrier.
INSTALLATION
Simply unzip all files into your WOE/objects/GroundObject folder
Thats it.
Orjol will work without problems in WOE and WOV. For using in SFP1 you must extract the files
CV-63.lod to CV-63_lod006.lod from objects.cat of WOE or WOV and copy them into your Orjol folder of SFP1.
Hope you enjoy it

MiG-29 isdelije 9.14 Sturmovik Fulcrum
By Gepard
MiG-29 isdelije 9.14 Sturmovik Fulcrum
*************************************
HISTORY of MiG-29 isdelije 9.14 development
*************************************
The MiG-29 is well known as an very spectacular fighter plane. From its first appearance on an airshow in the late 80th till today the MiG-29 is the star of each airshow.
Much less well known is the genisis story of this bird. It begann in 1972 when the Soviet Airforce demanded two new fighter designs. One long range escort plane and a frontline fighter. The MiG OKB decided to take on the competition and begann with the development of the project Isdelije 9.
3 variants of this plane were projected. Isdelije 9.10 as long range escort, is. 9.11 as frontlinefighter with MiG-23 avionics and armament for export and faster introduction into the soviet forces and finally the is. 9.12 as full scale frontline fighter.
In 1973 is. 9.10 was canceled because the Air Force choose the Sukhoi T-10 as long range escort fighter. In 1977 9.11 was canceled when it became obviesly that the Saphir-23 Radar does not fit into the MiG-29 fuselage. So is. 9.12 became the only MiG-29.
In 1982 the first MiG-29 (9.12) came to the units and already while the troop tests the pilots had 3 big demands. 1. more fuel for longer range. 2. an internal jammer. 3. a better air to ground capability.
To fullfill this requirements OKB MiG started the projects is. 9.13 (more fuel and jammer) and 9.14 (jammer and better air to ground capability)
9.13 development started in 1983. The fuselagetank No.1 was increased and the Berjoza jammer was installed.To have space for it in the fuselage the MiG-29 got a bigger back. From 1986 this plane was seen in the soviet fighter units. The NATO gave them the name Fulcrum-C, for the soviets it was still a MiG-29A (is. 9.13)
The development of the 9.14 was more difficult. The MiG-29 was from beginning a frontline fighter. What means, that it was intended to fight for the air superiority over the frontline, but also to support the fighting forces on the ground. In the air to ground role the MiG-29 (9.12) was twice as effective as the MiG-21 or 23, but only 15% as effective as a F-16A. To overcome this weakpoint it was decided to implement guided missiles of the Afghanistan war proven Cha-25 (Kh-25) family. It was planed to use the Cha-25ML laser guided missile, the Cha-25MP anti radar missile and the Cha-25MT TV guided missile. The guidance device was taken from the MiG-27M.
In the literature you can find two statements about the 9.14. The first said, the the laser/TV guidance device was built into a pod, which was carried under the central station, the other said, that the divice was built into the fuselage. (For my MiG-29 is. 9.14 i choose the later option, maybe, that it is wrong, maybe that it is correct. I dont know.)
In 1986 the 9.14 was ready for entering the production line, but the project came to a sudden stop. The reason was, that the air to ground capability of the MiG-29 is. 9.14 was dramatically increased, but it was still weaker than the F-16A (approx 66%). With first flight of the MiG-29M (is. 9.15) a much better Fulcrum was short for introducing. Its air to ground capability was better than the F-16A, it had a same efficency as the F-16C. It was decided to wait till the MiG-29M was available.
To stop the 9.14 introduction in the Soviet Air Force was a big mistake, because the breakdown of the Soviet Union stopped the MiG-29M development by nearly 15 years. So the MiG-29 had for a long period no real satisfying air to ground capability.
**********************************************
MiG-29 is. 9.14 for WOE, WOV, SFP1 credits
**********************************************
While making the 9.14 i used a lot of files made by other modders.
The plane itself:
~~~~~~~~~~
Model by Wpnssgt
Flight Model by Column5
The Cockpit is taken from MarcFighters Su-27
~~~~~~~~~
Cockpit by MarcFighter, Kesselbrut, BPAo (special thanks to Boopidoo, Mago and Badger for textures)
The Weapons
~~~~~~~~~
I took the missiles from Weaponpack. The credit for the weapon models belongs to the guys who made it.
And finally my little share
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I modified the HUD, added an Air to Ground mode. I edited the Data file to implement the guided missiles, reduced the fuel consumption and increased the engine thrust a little bit. And i moddified the original Skin by Wpnssgt to the green gray soviet style MiG-29 camo.

MiG-27K (carrier based)
By Gepard
MiG-27K (K ... Korabelnui ... carrier based) for WoE
This is a mod of the stock MiG-27 of Wings over Europe.
It will not work with SFP1 and WOV because the lod files are not included.
If you want to use it with SFP1 or WOV you must extract the files MiG-27.lod
MiG-27_LOD2.lod
MiG-27_LOD3.lod
MiG-27_LOD4.lod
MiG-27_LOD5.lod from objects.cat of WOE and copy them in the MiG-27K folder.
******************************************************
INSTALLATION:
Unzip all files into your Wings Over Europe/Objects/Aircraft folder.
Thats it.
******************************************************
The MiG-27K was originally intended as attack plane of the soviet carriers of the Orel class. In the 70th the Orel was a high ranking aircraft carrier project of the Soviet Navy (Project 1153 if i remember right). It was canceled by Marshall Grechko who favored the Project 1143, the later Kiev class aircraft carrier.
The MiG-27K was build in 2 or 3 prototypes and were tested at the Saki facility (Crimea Penisula).
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
differences to stock MiG-27:
* modified flightmodel of the plane to improve the handling.
* added capability to land on aircraft carriers
* added some armour, so that the MiG-27 now can survive MG fire
* added on board jammer
* added 15 flares and 15 Chaff
* added Magos great MiG-21F cockpit (thanks for it Mago!)
* plane can now fly intercept and CAP missions
Known problem: You cant see the tailhook coming down.

Midway terrain v1.1A
By Gepard
MIDWAY TERRAIN version 1.1A
=======================
THIS IS NO NEW VERSION with improvements over version 1.1.
It was neccessary to make this version, because Capun requested to remove his files from this mod.
So it is now neccessary that you download following files from Capuns homepage
http://cplengineeringllc.com/SFP1/
yourself and unzip it into your Objects/Groundobject folder.
1. Akagi
2. Brooklyn
3. CV-5
4. Fla-MG (you need to download the Browning AAA gunner. From there you need the files BrowningAAA.LOD and BrowningAAA.bmp)
5. Liberty
(You will find, that i have left the subfolders of terrain version 1.1, but i have removed the LOD and BMP/TGA files. So you must unzip the downloaded files in the correct folder)

Midway terrain version 1.1 readme
=======================
0.
Midway version 1.1 version was made as a response on community reactions who wanted more populated Midway islands. Thanks to Wrench and the others for help and ideas to make Midway terrain better.
WHATS NEW?
The number of target areas was increased from 10 to 21.
+Kure Atoll airfield is now operational from 1943
+Trenches and AAA Machinegun sites are added on Midway.
+PTBoat base added
+2 Marine Camps
+1 Radiostation
+1 Radarstation
+US Flags added
For the case that you want to know, what if the japanese Landing operation would have been successfull i added
as easteregg the file Midway What if_targets.ini.
There the Midways and Kure atoll are in japanese hands. The japanese Navy is operating close to the islands and is waiting on the US counterstrike.
If you want to play this scenario, backup file midway_targets.ini
and rename file
Midway What if_targets.ini.
into
midway_targets.ini
Hope you enjoy Midway v1.1
********************************************
I.
Midway terrain is made for "Strike Fighters Project 1" SFP1.
You can use it in Wings over Vietnam and Wings over Europe too.
Wings over Israel can handle this terrain too, but the flight modells of prop driven planes shows anomalies in WOI.
==============================================
II.
Midway terrain covers a part of the Central Pacific Ocean with the atolls of Kure and Midway.
It is the place were in 1942 a big Air-Sea-Battle was fought between the Imperial Japanese Navy and the US Navy. The japanese Navy was superior in numbers of ships, but the US side had some major advantages. No.1, the japanese communication code was broken, so that the US Navy commanders were able to read the enemy commands. No.2, the US had radar coverage, so that enemy surprise attacks were nearly impossible. No.3, the US had the superior number of airplanes which were deciding during the battle.
The battle was fought as a pure air to sea combat. No single gunfire exchange between naval vessels took place.
The result was that the japanese Navy lost 4 carriers and the US Navy lost 1 carrier. It was a impressive victory for the USA in Pacifice war theater. You can compare it with the Battle of Moscow on the Eastern Front or the first british victories in North Africa.
Midway Terrain following target areas
this are
Kure Atoll (Neutral airbase)
Eastern Island (Midway AB USMC)
Sand Island (Midway USMC)
ship formations
Japan
+Midway Occupation Force
+Midway Support Force
+Second Fleet Main Force ( 1 small carrier)
+First Fleet Main Force (1 small carrier)
+First Fleet Carrier Strike Force ( 4 carriers)
USN
+TF-16 (2 carrier)
+TF-17 (1 carrier)
*********************************************
III Known problems
Up today it is impossible to take off and land from carriers while using single missions which are generated by random single mission screen.
Thatswhy i added invisible airfields for taking off and landing in the centre of carrier formations. You will also start from the sea. This is not satisfying. Thatswhy it is the best to start the mission in the air to overcome this problem.

Campaign Jalalabad Road 1987
*************************
Jalalabad Road 1987
In the mid of 1987 the soviet garrison of Jalalabad is besieged by Dushman forces. On June 5. soviet airborne rangers and special forces starts an offensive operation to open the road to Jalalabad.
Your mission is to fly the Mi-24D, Mi-24P, the Su-25 or the Su-22M4 to support the ground forces.
*Mi-24D and Mi-24P and Su-22M4 you can find in the download section of CombatAce.
*I put a Su-25placeholder into this zip. It is a mod of Erwin-Hans Su-39.
I made it as a quick and dirty mod to bridge the time till we (hopefully) will have areal Su-25 Frogfoot. Some files of the Su-39 are needed.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
INSTALLATION
1.Unzip Folder Afghanistan87 into your Campaigns folder.
2.If you have no Su-25 , then unzip the folder Su-25 into your aircraft folder.
For Su-25 you will need the files Su39.lod, su391_holes.tga, su392_holes.tga and -su391_holes.tga and the camo folder SovietCamo of ErwinHans Su-39. Simply copy this files into Su-25 folder.

I.
This is a "What if" plane.
It represent the fictive chinese copy of the fictive soviet fighter plane MiG-23F, without the typical E-8 canards.
A similar plane was intended by the PLAAF under the designation J-7MF. It was a back up development for the J-10, but never came to prototype status, because the J-10 proved good.

II.
CREDITS: I want to say thank you to a lot of guys who helped me with files, ideas and hints. First of all i want to say thank you to Ricardo Batalha whos MiG-21 gmax file was the basic for this bird. MiG-23MK carrierborne Flogger
By Gepard
MiG-23MK for WoE
This is a mod of the stock MiG-23M of Wings over Europe.
It will not work with SFP1 and WOV because the lod files are not included.
If you want to use it with SFP1 or WOV you must extract the files
MiG-23M.lod
MiG-23M_2.lod
MiG-23M_3.lod
MiG-23M_4.lod
MiG-23M_5.lod
from WOE objects.cat and copy them into your MiG-23M folder.
******************************************************
INSTALLATION:
Unzip all files into your Wings Over Europe/Objects/Aircraft folder.
Thats it.
******************************************************
The MiG-23MK is fiction, so far that no carrierborne MiG-23 was built in the Soviet Union. But during the 70th the Soviet Navy had a high ranking aircraft carrier programm (Orel or Orjol class). Orel was canceled by Marshall Grechko who favored the Project 1143, the later Kiev class aircraft carrier.
For soviet carrier groups the MiG-23 was the planned interceptor, the MiG-27 the intended strike plane. From both types prototypes were built, as far as i know, and were tested at the Saki facility at the Crimea penisula. With the canceling of the Orel was no need for seria production of the MiG-23MK.
*******************************************************
differences to stock MiG-23M:
* modified flightmodel of the plane to improve the handling.
* added capability to land on aircraft carriers
* added on board jammer
* added 15 flares and 15 Chaff
* added Magos great MiG-21MF cockpit (thanks for it Mago!)
* added working HUD (inspired by the HUD of Marcfighters Su-27 and TK's F-15 and Harrier. Thanks for it!) The HUD is much more improved than in my flyable MiG-23M
* added the capability to carry 2 fuel tanks under the outer wings
Known problem: You cant see the tailhook coming down.

F-31G Wirbelwind

F-31G Wirbelwind for SFP1,WOE,WOV,WOI
====================================
I. This is my mod of Dels F-31A MustangII for use in the first generation sims SFP1,WOE,WOI,WOV
II. I decided to make a german bird (thatswhy G for Germany), because the X-31 project was mostly financed by the germans. I also decided to make a more real life combat airplane instead of a test bird. So i switched of the Trust Vector plates and deleted a lot of ammo capabilities, reduced the thrust of the engine. Changed the afterburner emitter. Made some small changes in Flightmodel. I also choosed the F-15 cockpit which is standard in WOE and WOI.
Some changes were neccessary because some features not worled properly in WOE, WOI, SFP1.
III. All credits belongs to Dels who made this fantastic bird or SFP2
IV This mod is Freeware. Commercial use is NOT ALLOWED.
I hope you enjoy this mod.

DISCLAIMER
----------
This is a third party add on of the F-31A using a model
and cockpit created by me.
It is designed for and works in the SF2 series of games.
VERSION NOTES
-------------
I have created this F-31A as if it went into production
and service during the 90's. So it is the F-31A (not X-31)
and the skin is for the 421st TFS, 388th TFW 'Black Widows'
based at Hill AFB.
The X-31 had no official or un-official nickname so I gave
it the name "Mustang II". If you don't like it, feel free to
change the AircraftFullName= in the F-31A.ini file.
The cockpit of the X-31 was a little too ancient, so I
modified my F-23A cockpit for this F-31A. This is also
what I would expect from an aircraft of the mid 90's.
The cockpit has visible pilot legs which were loaned to
me by Klavs81, so all the credit to him for those.
I have taken a bit of artistic licence as not a whole lot
of information was available on the aircraft.
In addition to wing and centerline drop tanks, I have also
included a special F-31 Dual Rail Adapter (DRA) for use with
IRM's and AHM's.
INSTALLATION
------------
Very simple, extract the files from the archive to your
C:\Users\*NAME*\Saved Games\ThirdWire\StrikeFighters2 folder.
Next,
You will need to add the following to your Squadronlist.ini
file which should be in your Flight AND Pilot Data folders.
This is so the Unit Names show up. (*NOTE* This is not
essential). Make sure the XXX is replaced with the next
number in sequence in your file:
[squadronXXX]
Name=421FS
DisplayName=421st TFS Black Widows
Nation=USAF
*NOTE* If you do not have a Squadronlist.ini file in your Flight
folder you will need to extract it from the MissionData001.CAT
file in your Flight folder using the CatPack utility.
That's it.
You will need Diego's MODUSAF pilot skin for the pilot,
or you can use whatever skin you like by editing the
F-31A_Data.ini file.
REMOVAL
-------
Reverse the above steps.
CREDITS
-------

------
Thanks to all on the forum for their continuing and always

MiG-21Bison (21-93)
By Gepard
MiG-21 Bison aka MiG-21-93 aka MiG-21 UPG
*************************************
HISTORY
*************************************
In 1993 the MiG-21-93 made its debut on various airshows, for instance in Le Bourget and Berlin. It was a major update for the MiG-21bis which incorporated a modern radar, a modern data link system and modern ECM capability.
The MiG-21-93 had a dramatically increased combat capabilities. It now can engage air targets at medium range and can use precison guided weapons against ground and sea targets.
India updated its MiG-21bis fleet to the 21-93 standard and called this bird now MiG-21Bison. The bison showed its combat efficiency in various training combats including against american F-15's.
**********************************************
MiG-21Bison for WOE, WOV, WOI, SFP1 credits
**********************************************
While making the Bison i used a lot of files made by other modders. Thanks for this files!
The plane itself:
~~~~~~~~~~
Model by TK
The Cockpit is taken from Mirage Factories MiG-29A
~~~~~~~~~
Cockpit by Mago
The added objects.
~~~~~~~~~
I took the MiG-23 drop tank to create the longer MiG-21bis style back of the bird. Then i used CIACHOs AKU-58 file to create the chaff flare dispensers
And finally my little share
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I edited the Data file to implement the guided missiles, added the ECM and Chaffs etc. And i modified the original Skin to create a fictional East German Bison, the russian and the Indian version.
I know that the Indian Bisons are more grey than the light blue, but due the Fake pilot methode i used to place the added objects i had to decide which color this objects should have and so i decided to use a light blue instead the grey.
I hope that i havent forgotten someone to give the proper credit.
**********************************************
INSTALLATION
**********************************************
1. unzip into your aircraft folder
The subfolder MiG-21Bison will be created
2. make sure that the following files are placed in aircraft folder, NOT in MiG-21Bison folder:
MiG-21IRWerfer.LOD and bmp
MiG-21Stör
WPact_Pilot.LOD and bmp
otherwise you will see pilots sitting on the wings of the bird.
3. Now install the backtank with following steps
3.1. Put file MiG-21Back.lod and MiG-21Back.bmp into your Weapons folder
3.2. include following lines into your weapondata.ini
[WeaponDataxxx]
TypeName=MiG-21bisBack
FullName=MiG-21bis Backtank
ModelName=MiG-21Back
Mass=0.000000
Diameter=0.470000
Length=5.155000
SubsonicDragCoeff=0.000000
SupersonicDragCoeff=0.000000
AttachmentType=
SpecificStationCode=
NationName=
StartYear=0
EndYear=0
Availability=0
BaseQuantity=0
Exported=FALSE
ExportStartYear=0
ExportEndYear=0
ExportAvailability=0
WeaponDataType=5
MaxFuelAmount=0.000000
Asymmetrical=FALSE
3.3 ) open Weaponeditor and click on save
Now the MiG-21bis backtank is available.
Sorry that i had forgotten to write it in the readme.
Thats it! Enjoy flying.
