    1. A-4 fictional USMC olive drab 1918

      A quick and dirty olive drab skin I made for the A-4 based on colors used by the USMC in june 1918.

      For added effect, if you have first eagles, export the WW1 roundel and fin-flash for the US and apply them to the skin (not included because I was unsure of legality to upload)

      Released under Combat Ace freeware/fair-use terms.

      I resized this to 1024x1024 so it will not be a frame rate killer.

    4. SF2 VF31 CAG EoS Skin

      This is a skin for the F-14D_06 from the super pack, but could be used for any of the Ds. Created using stuff from Swordsman442's recent release. See the readme. I forgot to move the navy decal back some and you could probably remove the radome decals if you choose.

    5. Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-15bis - RJAF

      Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-15bis - Royal Jordanian Air Force
      This is a simple mod of the stock Third Wire MiG-15bis from the 'Wings Over Israel Add-On' to give a flyable Mig-15bis of the Royal Jordanian Air Force.
      Please do not download this mod if you don't have 'Wings Over Israel Add-On' from Series One.

      BACKSTORY
      Despite Jordan gaining independence in 1946 it wasn't until 1950 that Jordan began to establish an embryonic air force with the assistance of the Royal Air Force. When Hussein bin Talal became King of Jordan (following the abdication of his father in August 1952) he was keen to see Jordan develop a more modern air force and looked to create a balance in his relationship with the West and the Soviet Union by ordering military equipment from both. The already obsolete de Havilland Vampire and Gloster Meteor were selected for ground-attack whilst the MiG-15bis was selected for interception duties with the first examples arriving in September 1955 to equip No.1 Squadron of the newly formed Royal Jordanian Air Force.

      INSTRUCTIONS
      1. From the AIRCRAFT folder drag and drop the MiG-15bisRJAF folder into your Aircraft folder.

    9. Generic Style Hangar Screens, Mig-17 & MiG-19

      Generic Hangar Screens for MiG-17 "Fresco" and MiG-19 "Farmer" 11/2/08
      -For SF/WoV/WoE/WoI

      Here, as I promised a couple weeks ago, are just 2 rather "plane-jane" WoE-style hangar screens for the Fresco and Farmer.
      Designed for SF,WoV,WoE (although in WoV and WoI they should actually have their SEA or Mid-East markings and camo, but no matter...)

      These should fill a small gap for these 2 stock aircraft. More, model specific types can be found on my site (where they've been for up to 5 years....) But these are nice and generic, with Soviet markings

      Easy to follow instrucitons in the enclosed readme. As usual.

      Enjoy!

    11. [Fictional] Lockheed F-104H Starfighter for SF2

      Lockheed F-104H Starfighter for STRIKE FIGHTERS 2
      This is a simple mod of the stock Third Wire F-104G to create a fictional F-104H in service with the Fuerza Aérea Argentina in the 1968-2006 timeline and with markings for;
      Grupo 8 (SEA Camo)
      Grupo 6 (Lo-Viz Grey N.B. StartDefaultDate=1983)
      Grupo 4 (Green/Grey Camo)

      BACKSTORY
      During the Spring of 1965 the Fuerza Aérea Argentina formally issued an operational requirement for a supersonic fighter-bomber to supplement and eventually replace it's F-86 Sabre force and to operate alongside the Douglas Skyhawks that were just entering service. The BAC Lightning was quickly ruled out as being short on range and undeveloped in the air-to-ground role and by the end of 1965 Fuerza Aérea Argentina officials declared that the choice was between the Dassault Mirage III and the Lockheed F-104 Starfighter. Lockheed had proposed a new variant, the F-104H, a projected export version based on the F-104G but with an optical gunsight and simplified equipment. Following a visit by Lockheed representatives to the Casa Rosada in Buenos Aires in early July 1966 the newly inaugurated President Juan Carlos Onganía announced that 36 F-104H's would be procured for the Fuerza Aérea Argentina. Entering service in March 1968 with Grupo 8 de Caza at the Military Air Base Mariano Moreno the F-104H's served until 2006 when the last Starfighters operating anywhere in the world were finally retired.

      INSTRUCTIONS
      1. From the AIRCRAFT folder drag and drop the F-104H folder into your Aircraft folder.
      2. From the DECALS folder drag and drop the F-104H folder into your Decals folder.
      That's it! I've kept the loadouts to basic stock weapons but if you have Argentine weapons in your install then it's worth editing the F-104H_Loadout.ini to suit what you have.

      CREDITS
      As always, thanks to Third Wire for a great little game/sim.
      And, finally, thanks to everyone in the wider Third Wire community.

      This skin is dedicated to Bob "howling1" Hauser, the original MiG & Su modder. There was very little that he did not know about MIGs & Su's. Wherever you are Bob, you are being missed.

      THE MIRAGE 5P WILL WORK WITHOUT PROBLEMS.

    16. F-16XL Hangar and Loading Screen Pack

      1. Introduction
      ===============

      When downloading addon aircrafts and new skins I always felt a bit dissatisfied with the hangar and loading screens supplied by their makers.
      Not that they were wrong are bad, I simply don't like real-life pictures as either hangar screen or loading screen.

      Furthermore, I did not like that their is no match between the aircraft skin you choose and the loading and hangar screen you get to see.
      So I set out to find an easy way (within the confines of the simulation) to find a quick and easy way to get a match between the selected skin, hangar screen and loading screen.

      I figured out a way, by working with standardized filenames. The only disadvantage is that you need to select the appropriate hangar screen/ loading screen manually.
      But I suppose that most people fly in campaigns so it should be easy to set this up before you launch the simulation.

      2. How does it work?
      ====================

      First of all, you need to download yourself the addon aircraft and skins (don't worry I'll supply you with the appropriate links later on).

      Secondly extract this pack to a temporary file/directory, where you will find several files in this pack:
      Aircraft.ini file
      TextureSetXXX_Loading.bmp
      TextureSetXXX_Hangar.bmp
      (with XXX being replaced by incremental numbers)

      Each TextureSet file corresponds with the Textureset-entry of the same number in the aircraft ini.

      Copy these files to your aircraft directory: \Wings Over Europe\Objects\Aircraft\aircraftdirectory\.
      Only your aircraft.ini file will be overwritten, but that should not be a problem unless you have other skins installed then those mentionned in this readme.

      If you open the aircraft.ini file, you will notice that its an exact match with the original aircraft.ini file except for a few edits in the [AircraftData]-section and with the entries for the skins already added.
      The entries in the [AircraftData]-section should look like this:
      // original authors settings
      HangarScreen=...
      LoadingScreen=...
      //KingAlbert settings
      //HangarScreen=TextureSetXXX_Hangar.bmp
      //LoadingScreen=TextureSetXXX_Loading.bmp

      Now the double /-symbol indicates to the simulation must ignore that line. So the only thing you have to do to select the hangarscreen and loadingscreen is remove the /-symbols in front of the line. Keep in mind that all other hangar and loading lines need to be preceded by a // otherwise the simulation will use the first instruction.

      I kept in the original authors selection so you can easily revert back to his selection.

      3. requirements
      ===============

      You need a legal copy of one of the many Thirdwire Sims (WOV, WOE, WOI).
      I only tested this pack in Wings over Europe, but I guess it should work fine in any of the other version.

      4. Installing this pack
      =======================

      1) download and install the addon aircraft.
      Location: http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?autoc...p;showfile=5011
      2) download and install additional skins
      remember, you don't have to edit the aircraft.ini file yourself, I included a copy as part of this pack.

    17. OKB Hawker Falchion F.1 for SF/SFG/WoV/WoE/WoI

      OKB Hawker Falchion F.1 (ie: MiG-15Bis) for SF/SFG/WoV/WoE/WoI (and maybe SF2, still, even)

      A rebuild of Spinners really fun "What If" MiG-15 as used in an alternate universe by the British People's Republic Air Force, for use in the non-Vista enhanced Original Games (as listed above). Meaning, the inis are now in the older ANSI style, as opposed to Unicode.

      ALL the inis have been completly rebuilt for use in these earlier games (SF/SFG/WoV/WoE/WoI). This is a complete aircraft mod, with everything included; all the inis, lods, a full cockpit (ordway's Mig-15 pit). The cockpit and data ini have been converted to metric measurements (KMPH, MPS, etc), so the UK is now metric some 40-odd years earlier than in our universe. The skins and decals are the ones created by Spinners, but each skin now gets a new 'patch.bmp' with the actual Real Life ™ RAF Squadron badges.

      This mod is designed for use with, I'm hoping, ANY weapons pak, or none at all. The data ini has been set to use "NATO,UK", so you'll be using all the stock items, excepting the 300 gallon slipper tanks (included), which will need to be added. My old "PilotER" has also been included, just in case you want to switch over to one with a 'soft' leather helmet. Right now, it's set to use the stock 3rdWire pilot. The position of the pilot has been adjusted to show the seat more.
      Spinners original Hangar and Loading screens are included, with a small edit by me on the loading screen. My damage tgas are included, as are probably some various bits and things I've forgotten to remove.

      = IMPORTANT: This aircraft has been tested in Post-Patch SF/WoV/WoE/WoI. Be advised of the existence of some handling issues prevelant in WW2 era, and many Pre-Patch (ie: 06 level and earlier), aircraft. Fly accordingly!!! It should also work in SF2 and later iterations - this has NOT been tested with THIS version, however.

      As always, unzip this to a temp folder somwhere, and you'll have access to the rest of the readme for it's instructions.
      With special thanks to Spinners for creating it, and allowing me to re-convert it for the older games!!

      Happy Landings!!

      SF2 WW2 B-24D 319th BS, 90th BG, SoWesPac Skin/Decals Pak

      -- Something for the PTO players --
      = For SF2, Full-5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred) =

      A new skin for the B-24D Liberator by pasko. This skin represents aircraft of the 319BS of the 90th BG "Jolly Rogers" in their early (late 42-mid 43-ish) livery as seen in New Guinea and the Southwest Pacific operations areas.

      It is designed for use on the recenly release SF2ish B-24D mod, available at the following url:

      http://combatace.com...or-eto-mto-pak/

      The skin is brand new, from my Home Grown Template ™, and is in jpg format. New serial number decals were created; they should be considered 'generic' in nature, as they don't accurately represent the unit, but DO represent the correct model variant depicted. Decal randomization is set to TRUE. There are NO nose arts.

      As this skin IS Theatre specific to the Pacific regions, you'll have to do some editing after installing to the B-24D in your PTO-centric mods folder, and remove or rename the ETO/MTO skins.
      As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them. .

    24. Fuel Gauge for TW Hunter FGA-9

      Quick fix to get an internal fuel gauge into Third Wires Hunter FGA-9. It uses the cabin pressure altitude indicator located on the lower righthand side of the front panel. I think the real ones were located on the righthand side panel but might not be possible to put gauges there. The gauge shows internal fuel only, about 3000lbs. 25. Potez 63.11 Squadrons

      The enclosed layered file contains squadron markings for all the French squadrons that flew the Potez 63.11, both recon and light bomber.

      Hope you find them of use when Veltro2k releases his latest masterpiece.
