Exhausted your low altitude kills were affected by drag and a tail chase at 8 miles for the saprrow =a 10-15 mile chase depending on target speed and your speed at launch. The F-14 was designed from wheels up with a ground attack ability-albeit secondary to the interceptor/air superiority. The Marines almost received the tomcat but cost prevented it and teh F-18 was a better buy for them anyway. The F-14 is an amazing jet and could have had some amazing varients that never hit public news-other than AST-21, there was talk of a jammer varient ala EF-111. Considering the F-111 an awesome jammer-imagine an F-14 with a phased array and the entire tunnel filled with a jamming canoe fairing. Add F-120-GE-400 engines or better. Add AIM-120, all variants. Maybe even fund the AIM-154/155 projects.......yep stealth wouldn't be so effective.

Nice skin job bud.

 

It's a pity TK didn't allocate missile rails for the outer pylons on the A-4F_74. Shrikes and Sidewinders would look a lot better and true to real life there.

Thanks! I managed to find a good side shot of the VFA-27 CAG bird and dressed it up. Was looking kinda plain without nose art.

Looks like you have that same terrain tile issue I get when I increase the detail mesh size . There has got to be a way around this. I remember Fubar saying that he runs his detail mesh size settings at 16

and his screen shots show no sign of this problem. I get some results by playing with the near/ normal/ farscene clip distance using modified Lexx luther settings but I still can't seem to fully solve the problem.
