fallenphoenix1986 603 Posted October 23, 2016 Again realistically Hillary is going to win. Ideally rerun the whole thing with new candidates - neither Clinton nor Trump are fit for purpose, and third party candidates simply dont have enough weight to mount a realistic attempt.

Snailman 517 Posted October 23, 2016 Who is less dangerous for the world? Mrs. Clinton with her designated Sectretary of State Mrs. "Fuck the EU" Nuland or Mr. "lose canone" Donald Trump? I think Trump is less dangerous. Thatswhy my vote. As the question was, who "will be" president, I choose Clinton of course she will "win". Trump is a clown but - anyway we will die - better to die laughing. the best presidental candidate would be a rubbermaid with round mouth, equipped with an answering machine. "If you want me to bomb Assad press 1" "If you want me to suck George Soros press 9" "If you want a war with Russia press # and rest in peace"

+Typhoid 231 Posted October 23, 2016 Trump Clinton II is a corrupt psychopathic liar who will subvert our Constitution and relegate us to just another kleptocracy on the road to tyranny. I think the race is too close to call.
+Trotski 936 Posted October 24, 2016 Nah not happy, but sod all we can do to break our "socialist Chains" Brexit was a step in the right direction, but even that looks like the autocracy........oops sorry , the Government, are desperately trying to squirm out of. What worries me about my American Cousins, is the fact that complete jizz trumpets like Clinton ( who is just a cunt ) or Trump ( who is an american version of Boris Johnson ) can actually be elected, and supported to the White House. How Clinton is still a fee woman, and not doing time in pokey for the rest of her life is beyond me, and as for Trump.......what in the name of all that is unholy, does this muppet actually know about politics........he isn't even a good businessman....... No wonder Putin is laughing his ass off .

RUSTYMORLEY 162 Posted October 24, 2016 neither candidate is worth of the office, but I think Clinton will win. My sentiments exactly, Trump is a without doubt a leader but he is also Jackass who would certainly shake up the establishment, but unfortunately you are more likely to get Clinton who is more stable but proven to be underhanded, corrupt and at ease with the idea of destroying crucial evidence in the form of documentation and e-mails which could have led to her being put on trial. As you say stratos neither candidate is worthy of the office. The Yanks need to find a damn good man, an honest man, a strong man with wisdom and persuade him to run for the Presidency. Basically someone you would not expect to want all that power and responsibility.
33LIMA 972 Posted October 24, 2016 Nothing to hide, so - deliberately if perhaps perversely interpreting the question as who SHOULD be President from the selection available, not who WILL be, which is becoming obvious - I voted Gary Johnson, on the basis he's a 'libertatian' (I have learnt to despise the so-called 'progressives', in the UK and elsewhere). Anyone whose principles and voting record includes anti-crime and low tax can't be all bad - could be mostly good, in fact. Too many politicians, typically ex-lawyers, seem to regard tax revenues as something to be used to buy the votes of interest groups...after lining the pockets of they and their buddies, naturlich. If he'd been Gary Johnston, with a 't', that would have been even better. PS concur with Trotski re his suspicions that the Brexit deal could well be diluted by the usual suspects to the point it's so soft as to be invisible, but that's another story, worthy to be set alongside the adult refugees from Calais getting away with posing successfully as the children the 'progressives' told us we'd be taking into the UK, to placate the bleating of the hearts. An idiot not worthy of office. Yes, but perhaps better an idiot, than a knave...though a knave who is also an idiot would be worse still, I suppose... JediMaster 451 Posted October 24, 2016 Trump wants to be CEO of the US, not the President. He wants to be told what stuff is going on, get presented with choices, and decide. Then he wants to move on to the next thing. While I can't say for certain that won't work, I'm fairly certain we haven't had one like that in a long time, definitely not in the modern era. He's a sleazeball I wouldn't want to deal with under any circumstances with an army of lawyers to make sure he gets his way, which includes not paying out because he's a cheap bastard. There are plenty of outsiders who would've been 10x better passed out than Trump sober, but Trump had the name and the money to get there. He has sabotaged the outsider vote. I wish we could bring Perot forward in time from 1992 and let him run against Clinton. He'd clean up...as long as he got a different running mate than last time, of course. Clinton is a woman, but she's definitely more of the same. Nothing new to see here, move along, dull as dull can be. Yeah, she's done some shady stuff. The notion that somehow this stuff is different with her than with past politicians is laughable. It's not. She's not more corrupt than Bush or her husband or Reagan or Carter, she's merely equally corrupt. People who refuse to accept that are all over her shit only because they disagree with her politics. She has simply demonstrated the same thing seen from every President in memory--poor judgement. By that metric, she has acted very presidential. Every single one of them has done at least one thing that should have landed them in jail for life. None were ever convicted let alone served. If poor judgement isn't a prosecutable offense (and obviously it's not, just look at history), then how can people be surprised it applies to her? The Romans had a term for this: bread and circuses. Congrats USA, the two parties snared you up in it just like in days of old. No real issues, no actual chance for change, just a system run by the rich in the name of making themselves richer. They don't give a damn about us, never have, never will. Don't fool yourself into thinking either candidate will actually help you. Unless you define help as "I only lost my hand instead of both arms and both legs". Meanwhile, this year has reminded me of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith. At what point will the anti-establishment voters "rise up" and demand strong leadership from the first American Empire? When Trump inevitably loses? When he surprisingly wins? When he goes out in a blaze of glory with Clinton and Emperor Bernie the First takes over? Say hello to the new boss, same as the old one.
+CrazyhorseB34 937 Posted October 24, 2016 Simple electoral college math. Clinton will more than likely get well over the 270 required. Possibly 400 plus. The Senate will go to Dems because of the RNC's complete stupidity and lack of leadership. The absurd Trump Candidacy is an example of GOP's fragmentation. No one lives in the fly over states. Thus they do not amass the same number of electoral college votes than the population centers. Clinton will win by a pretty fair margin. References, Steve Schmidt, Larry Sabato, Nate Silver. Sabato's take as of four days ago. Clinton: 352 Trump: 173 Silver has Clinton at 337.8 with an 85.7% chance of winning. He has Trump at 199.4 with a 14.3% chance of winning.
+Erik 1,812 Posted October 24, 2016 This campaign season has been dangerously divisive and polarizing on everyone. It brought out anger and hate in the process that we as a country haven't felt in one and half centuries. I'll be glad when it's over. One thing we need to push for in both parties is term limits in the congress and senate. If we did just that in the next four years and nothing else I'd be happy.
