I've just done some data file tinkering for the first time and with some success after a little head scratching at times. I noticed when I'd fired up a CAS mission with a Jaguar GR1 that the loadout options needed some tweaking as it wouldn't let me fit twin 1000lb GP bombs to the inboard wing and centreline pylons something I know it should do as I used to carry out 2nd line bay maintenance on Jaguar pylons, tandem beams and No.119 and No.120 Ejector Release Units back in the good old days. I'm such a nerd!

Mike Dora, VonS, and several other guys are carefully revising and testing new files for these aircraft, eliminating a lot of rough edges that have accumulated over the years. The goal is to produce a unified series of aircraft and file mods that live up to FE2's potential.

De Havilland Vampire F.8 - No.500 (County of Kent) Squadron, Royal Auxiliary Air Force, 1956 The Vampire F.8 was developed to a 1949 Air Ministry requirement for an interceptor fighter for the home defence squadrons of the Royal Auxiliary Air Force and was based on the airframe of the Vampire FB.5 but with the more powerful Goblin 35 engine of the Vampire T.11 trainer. The Vampire F.8 entered service with No.500 (County of Kent) Squadron in 1951 and served with eight auxiliary squadrons until the sudden disbandment of the Royal Auxiliary Air Force in March 1957.

Mikoyan MiG-41SM - 678 Squadron, Syrian Air Force, 2018 Following the second wave of strikes against suspected Syrian chemical weapons plants and storage facilities in late April 2018, Vladimir Putin (President of the Russian Federation) ordered the immediate transfer of 6 MiG-41's to the Syrian Air Force. Arriving at Abu-al-Duhur airbase on April 30th the aircraft were hastily given Syrian Air Force markings but were allegedly flown by Soviet pilots on attack missions in support of Bashar al-Assad's Syrian government forces against targets in the A'zaz area north of Aleppo in May 2018. This move prompted President Trump to specifically authorise the deployment of F-22A Raptors to Incirlik Air Base in Turkey later in the same month.

Fortunately, in this particular accident the pilot did safely eject and survive. Aircraft was BuNo 145357 (AB-212), pilot was Lt Jg Terry Kryway. It's probably possible. I did only external shape and skin. Plan is to modify this model, that it will look like 2 parts weapon, then do animation of dropping SG.357 and mines. Main problem with JP is it's data file. If you set it as rocket pod AI wingmen think they are X-wings attacking Death Star and are trying fly to the moon. If you set submunition as bombs and container as rack it's ok, but you have another problem. You must set ReleaseCount=32 to drop all SGs and then you have problem with standart bombs and LGBs ;-) Well it's choice between bad and worse ;-) I'll test 1 more solution: container as rack and 2 SG cluster bombs with animation of dropping 16 subs each.

A few more shots. Some were taken using DX9 and some were taken using DX11. Doesn't seem to make any difference, so I'm going to resume experimenting with SweetFX.
