PZL-230F 'Skorpion' - Parani Air Force, 2006 Started in the mid-1980's the PZL-230 'Skorpion Projekt' was an ambitious attempt to provide the Polish Air Force with an affordable modern attack aircraft but in 1990 the Polish Air Force cranked in further requirements for speed, range and payload leading to a heavier and ultimately more expensive aircraft. By 1991 Poland was enduring a difficult transition from a communist to a capitalist economy and the project appeared to be heading for cancellation but the management team at PZL Okęcie were convinced that a sizeable market existed for the 'Skorpion Projekt' and actively sought a partner to develop their design eventually approaching several aerospace companies in Europe, the US and former USSR but to no avail. However, in January 1992 representatives from the state-owned Parani Aviation Company (PAC - who had developed the indigenous Piranha jet fighter in the late 1950's) contacted PZL to propose a collaboration to develop and produce the Skorpion for their respective air forces and for export. At an early stage it was agreed to have two assembly lines with PZL to be responsible for all Polish orders and subsequent European exports and PAC to be responsible for all Parani orders and all exports outside of Europe. It is understood that Paran agreed to accept a higher split on development costs because of the wider export market open to them. With heavy financial backing from oil-rich Paran the design and development moved quickly and the prototype Skorpion took to the skies in October 1995 and was soon joined by the first of a pre-production batch of 8 Skorpions eventually forming a bi-service development squadron based in Paran and taking advantage of the clear skies over the Parani desert. Paran claimed priority for deliveries and formed the first Skorpion squadron in 1998 with Poland deferring deliveries for their own air force until 2001 due to financial pressures but by this time the Skorpion had become a modest export success with PZL securing exports to many of the former Soviet Union client states but with PAC only exporting a few Skorpions to Syria. most of the stock aircraft are nicely and reasonably mapped on few bitmap sheets. So if templates are in good quality skin in 2048x2048 is good enough. Although I prefer stock aircraft and many CAddons in 3072x3072. And usually Templates made in 4096x4096 or higher..then scale down the finished bitmap.

It's so stressful to work on a model from one reference photo. Alot of guessing and after you think you got it it's not correct, they you start from the beginning to try to get it correctly. But eventually I'll have it ready.

Let's be honest here, MS knew well that wasn't going to be true. New advancements in technology dictate new operating systems. Besides, Win11 is a free update, so consider it an extension of Win10. They have a lot of reasons to name it Win11, both for marketing and security issues. The number of changes is massive, and to have it named Win10 would only confuse the market. You can install Win11 only on newer processors, not on old crappy hardware which is affected by severe security vulnerabilities. Windows is not just for home computers, and MS does not need companies complaining about any breaches which could be unrelated to the OS. Seriously, I complained about MS a lot of times in the past, but so far they're doing common sense moves. I'm actually intrigued by what Win11 brings to the table, both as a consumer and as a programmer.

View File Canadair CL-13 Sabre F.Mk.5 On 30 July 1953, the first Sabre Mk.5 flew with the Orenda 10 engine, which gave it a clear rate of climb and ceiling advantage over earlier variants. Other Mk 5 improvements included a new oxygen system and improved maneuverability and low-speed characteristics achieved by increasing the wing chord by six in (15.2 cm) at the root and three in. (7.2 cm) at the wing tip along with fitting a small vertical wing fence. This modification, originated by North American on the F-86F, dramatically improved maneuverability, though the loss of the slatted leading edge increased landing speed and degraded low speed handling considerably. Canadair built 370 Mk 5s with the majority designated for use in the RCAF's Air Division squadrons in Europe to replace the Mk.2s. A total of 75 RCAF Sabre 5s were transferred to the German Luftwaffe during 1957. WHAT'S IN: - 2 new planes - 34 high rez skins - decals, sounds, weapons etc. CREDITS: - Zur model - Ravenclaw temps - paulopanz skins, decals, ini edits TO INSTALL: - all in main mod folder and overwrite Enjoy! @paulopanz PS: Canadair Sabre n°3 pack, to be continued soon. i remember having a heart attack at the file size on the first template you sent me to assist with yakarov . but draw big then scale down is an excellent way to go if youre really concerned about space. you lose way less detail shrinking something huge but detailed than trying to upscale somthing small. and if you worry about losing detail, you can go mid way; i've been shrinking alot of files lately from 1024 to either 512 when its simple or 768 when more intricate. but thats not the way, its just a way. you'll find theres many ways to skin a mod Eagle

doesnt have to be. im working a ANG project right now, skin folders are just named teh number of the squadron (110, 159, 199 etc), the textureset.ini (which always stays named just that) opens up to reveal "Name = 131 FW, 110th FS Missouri ANG" etc, its the aircraft that the "whatever_aircraft" folder needs to match "whatever_aircraft.ini" and causes issue in game. the rest of the ini's just need to match whats in that first one and be present in the folder never recall a misnamed folder disappearing a skin. much more common for me is to set up the first skin how i want, then duplicate with intent to open inis and edit. for whatever reason (forgetfulness, have to leave computer for more than 15 minutes whatever) i often go to work on something to discover i might have two "some_skin"s in the dropdown! nothing devastating, just annoying

Dumb question, but, is your skin folder named in exactly the same way as your skin's .ini? I typoed one once and got the black skin result because the sim couldn't "find" the skin. One letter was all it took.

A new Instant Action mission will be included with the next release of the ODS 30AE total conversion, complete with bonuses! Shot down a MiG-25 coming head to head, and then I shook off a pursuing MiG-29 which ultimately crashed into the terrain, trying to follow my crazy evasive maneuvers (shown in the last pic).

In my opinion, the problem is not (or will not) be Windows... the problem is the lack of follow-up of the Thirwire project (W10 SF2), TK no longer communicates !

Bitmap obviously would be best for quality, but with modern painting software you can save high quality JPGs with no noticeable loss in quality. Keep in mind that JPG textures do bring longer loading times especially on older hardware (despite the smaller size, the SF2 game engine has to decompress such textures), especially if all are saved at 100% quality, but they help save some serious disk space. All in all, always go with .JPG where possible, save with maximum quality. If things go awry, always keep a copy of templates at hand, so that you can re-export the same texture with different settings.

Don't get crazy over this. 2K and 4K textures do work in SF2. The reason you see them not loaded is due to your video card; it runs out of memory, and so it cannot load all the skins. Just reduce graphics settings in the options, that may help. Nothing to do with your custom skin nor with the game engine. When you have tons of third-party mods with high quality and high resolution textures, chances of this happening increase, especially on older GPUs. The game itself is incredibly stable, even when your video card runs out of memory, you expericence just missing textures, no crashes to desktop over some textures.

where are you reading? what i've read is that MS isnt supporting 32 bit systems anymore not programs. and this has started with Win10 back last year in any fashion, dont upgrade for free and we still got 4 years supported (Win10 end of support slated for Oct 2025), but i think we have longer than that yes, one hopes TK is biding time until 11 is done, then upgrading to that. if not, are you really suprised? if so, damn it'll be time to buy the White album again
