2 pointsView File P-2H "Neptune" Remod Pak P-2H "Neptune" Remod Pak 11/19/22 -- For SF2, Any & All -- This is a complete overhaul, plus numerous additions, to the P2V-7/P-2H Neptune package I released in 2011 (THAT long ago????!!!!). I was going over some things, and found numerous flaws and faults, and chose to fix them up. This package, due to numerous changes (listed in the Change Log), is designed to replace in total the early 2011 kit. If you have that original repackaging mod, you CAN just drop all of this one directly over it, or delete the aircraft and decals folders and start fresh. Your Choice (tm). Either way will work with no issues. Skin sets NOW included are: These 3 from the original 2011 pack-- VP-18 "Flying Phantoms", NAS Jacksonville as seen during the Cuban Missile Crisis VP-65 "Tridents", NAS Point Magu, in the mid/late 1960s through the 1970s VP-69 "Totems", NAS Whidbey Island, in the 1970s plus ... 320 Squadron, RNNAS (now included) The new skins are: JMSDF (2,3,4 & 51 Kokutais)-squadron insginia are randomly applied RAAF (10 & 11 Squadrons) - early EngineGray/White and late GullGray/White skins French Aeronavale - Flotilles 21/23(ish) USN -- VP-9 "Golden Eagles, NAS Barbers Point (Early EngineGray/White) VP-18 "Flying Phantoms" NAS Jacksonville, NAS Rossevelt Roads (Early EG/W) Argentina -- Both original COAN skins NOW included! The only country's skins NOT included are the RCAF/CF by 1977Frenchie; his set for the CP-122 which is good enough to stand on it's own :) . All skins remain in their original bmp format. All new decals are included, "almost" all with historically matching BuNums-to-Modex numbers (wherever possible, and the information was discoverable). Decal randomization for ALL skins is TRUE. For those forces with paint scheme changes at specific years, the SF2 Date Switch (tm) is active. This can be seen on the Loading Screen, skin/squadron drop-down menu as shown below: VP-9 Golden Eagles (>1962) (before 1962) or VP-69 Totems (<1964) (after 1964) As always, =READ= the enclosed readme for full, detailed instructions. This package has been broken down into the various folders that SF2 needs, to make it a LOT easier to install. Happy Landings! Wrench Kevin Stein Submitter Wrench Submitted 12/09/2022 Category Other

1 pointCyrano IVMR radar is specific to the F1CR, not installed in the EQ series. But all radar variants of the EQ series have terrain avoidance/anti-collision modes which are all not automatic (so not like in the A-6/F-111/Tornado) The Kh-29L modification was made with at least 2 EQ5 aircraft. Didnt see any combat usage. Combat operations were conducted with a pair of aircraft, an EQ5 for target designation and a Su-22M4 as shooter with Kh-29L The EQ6 is an EQ5 with following changes/enhancements: - new digital RWR - new radios - improved radar with SPI - Signal Processor Improvement with two Air-Surface modes (for targeting ships) - enhanced armament system with a default capability for mixed loads on the inner-wing stations (AS 30 L or AM 39 + tank) and a configuration of two AM 39 Exocet on the inner wing stations (includes new launcher pylons) Iraq received all but the last 4 of the 30 EQ6 on order. Seven of the delivered EQ6 were painted in the dark blue/white Super Etendard scheme.

1 pointFolks, be advised, as I've just been informed that the Aeronavale skin is missing it's rivet and panel lines (thanks Paulo!!) that I'll be uploading a fixed full pack, and a seperate AN skin later today (probably tonight, California time) My sincere appologies for the screw up!! (must be getting old!!! LOL)

1 pointI'm giving Brave a go at the moment, lots of very easy to use and seemingly effective ad/script blocking built into it - no complaints so far in the last two weeks or so. (Link)

1 pointExcellent news -- and if you ever find that mainstream Firefox is starting to slow down and/or use too much memory on your Windows 7 rig -- permit me to recommend a variety of Firefox "forks" that are usually lean and fast, and remind one of Firefoxes and Netscapes of yore (some representative ones to check out include Palemoon, Seamonkey, as well as the little-known ArcticFox that comes with a WinXP build but should be compatible with Win7 too). In the worst case scenario -- if you find yourself unimpressed by those various browsers, fire up a small VirtualBox install of a simpler Linux distro like LinuxMint, and run an updated Firefox, Opera, or anything else -- from within the virtual OS system itself -- but go down the VirtualBox route only if you have enough RAM on your rig -- recommended min. of 10-12 GB RAM if you want to juggle a virtualized OS install smoothly. Cheers all & happy browsing in lesser-known browsers, Von S

1 pointWhat can be the solution? I have this problem when folding the wings. If these entries are not loaded in the DATA of the corresponding pylons, the weapons remain stationary when folding the wings. Here is an image capture without the entry adding the input to the pylon MovingPylon=TRUE but for it to rotate perfectly next to the pylon you have to add the following input RotatingPylon=TRUE and this happens, and I can't understand what data is missing so that it doesn't happen, any suggestions?

1 point1982. What if UK would have sent the Royal Navy not toward the Falklands, but to the Rio de la Plata Bay. Super Etendard in action. After the sinking of the 25 de Mayo, the argentinians are striking back. Lined up for take off. Wet feets! Missile go! Invincible is burning and sinking. Heading home After successfull strike mission back at homebase.

1 pointWell, these are definitely F-5 275 gal drop tanks: The fact that all pictures from various angles represent just 1 airframe (3-6403) supports the theory that this could be just an experiment. I was unable to find pictures of other airframes fitted with such tanks. On the other hand fitting F-5 drop tanks to Mirage F1 in Iran makes a lot of sense considering how much IRIAF is exploiting the F-5 models, even to the extent of making their own variants - Azarakhsh, Saeqeh and Saeqeh-2. I would vote to implement both types, so players could choose on their own what to fit during a mission. In my opinion that would not be what-if territory. Can't wait for the Mirage F-1CT though, I am so happy it is its turn now.

1 pointThis time something not very useful, not even posing a serious threat. Just a piece of equipment to populate airfield areas. Have to admit, inspired by Gepard's terrain work. RSBN-4N Radio Engineering System of short Range Navigation with AD-30T-230M3 generators KNS-1PM-2 on Zil-130 chassis. Light beacon Zis-151 and ATZ-3 (only a few will see differences with Zil-157). I think 4-5 models more and I will upload something for modders, anytime soon. 2 weeks standard CA time.
