3 points@Wrench You may recall I was working on the map and made tons of changes. I had both the Indochina and Vietnam versions with extremely accurate airport and city locations and names. In theory I was part of another Vietnam project but I am kept in the blind about it. So I'd rather start my own Vietnam total conversion project but I don't know if I'd get the same amount of support I got when I started the ODS remake almost two years ago. Sundowner also is working on an impressive Vietnam terrain remake but that should be missing some improvements I had made. The two reworks joined together would offer the best possible terrain, both visually and topographically.

1 pointIn reality, the flight in Vietnam went like this. You are flying for a very long time. Nothing happens. You refuel the plane. You fly for a few more hours. around only clouds and nothing more. Nothing happens. In a certain place, at the command of the leader, you simply press the bomb release button. You can't see where they hit, if they exploded at all. Then you come back for many hours. I doubt it's interesting. But if you are interested in just such a game, then you can press this button and just remove all enemy aircraft. If you don't like that a particular plane often appears, then in the file, for example, MIG-17F_USERLIST.INI you change the line [NVietnam] ServiceStartYear=1964 ServiceEndYear=1998 Availability=VERY_COMMON on [NVietnam] ServiceStartYear=1964 ServiceEndYear=1998 Availability=VERY_RARE Or you open the file (for example, I'll show the file from Germany, but for Vietnam you do the same, I just don't have the mod that you play) GermanyCE.INI and there you delete everything in this line EnemyMissionTypes, leaving only "=" .... [AllowedMissionTypes] ...... EnemyMissionTypes=SWEEP,CAP,CAS,ESCORT,STRIKE,SEAD,INTERCEPT,ANTI_SHIP,CRUISE_MISSILE But i guarantee, the game will be realistic but you will not want to play it

1 pointwell, the WW2 aircraft would be pretty useless without a terrain with "proper" targeting (meaning: dropping Vietminh and etc camps and such into the jungles. I'd be happy to release the aircraft if there's enough interest (includes some what-if VC birds too) Combining terrains, in my opinion, is a great idea. The entire map has to be reworked (in Menrva has a new height field), all the rail yards added and such like, plus the ports and corrected/added rivers (thing Mekong delta here)

1 pointView File EAV-8B This is the AV-8B Plus Harrier in service with the Spanish Navy, known as EAV-8B Basic modding skills are required to run this mod. (copy/paste, mod folder structure etc.) A fake pilot is needed to run this mod. It is designed for and works only in SF2 series. Skin is in 4096x4096 format. So you can easily resize down. If you have problems running this in game. Resize skins to lower resolutions Animations: 1= canopy open - close 4= refueling probe - beware of a speed limit 3= night vision mode - not really helping but it is there - inside and outside animation. ************************************************************************************ You can exlplore ini files for some additional features like in cockpit "FLIR" feed on HUD . AAQ-28 can be loaded only on station number 5 and centerline AIM-120 can be loaded only on stations 2 and 6. 1 pointI have all the aircraft done (excepting using the P-39 as the not-available P-63, and Ju-52 Tucan version, and the PB4Y-2 Privateer -- waiting for Torno & Co. on that one). Reworking the map is a freeking nightmare!! I walked away from it due to major personal issues. I hope to return to the map next year. But it will be a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONNNGGGGGGGGG project! (and lots of new, more accurate tiles, too!)
