F-22A Raptor Add-on October 13th, 2021 (1st Release) by yakarov79, baffmeister, Crusader, guuruu and Menrva >For Strike Fighters 2 games This is a high quality add-on of the F-22A Raptor aircraft. The original model had been made by Heberth, and it was released in alpha stage. Upon noticing room for improvement, yakarov79 helped finalize the 3d model with numerous, additional details; accurate pylons and rail launchers, new external fuel tanks, highly detailed rack and small diameter bomb 3d models, canopy and thrust-vectoring animations, high-res skin with specular and bump maps, updated cockpit model, and so on. A realistic, well-thought flight model has been produced by our expert, baffmeister. Moreover, Crusader offered his great expertise to improve upon his previous modification for the Raptor's avionics. All their efforts have raised the quality bar of the project I had started; much credits to them all. I further polished the package by adding historically accurate weapon loadouts, my selection of sounds (including authentic engine samples by guuruu), realistic camouflage shapes and colours, reworked decals for the actual USAF's F-22A squadrons, new cockpit textures and other tweaks here and there. Each squadron has got historically correct serial numbers, and they appear in chronological order in the loadout screen; the serial numbers at the bottom of the list are those of aircraft that joined that squadron for last, while the serials at the beginning of the list indicate those aircraft that were available to that squadron for first. Like you would expect in an opera omnia, I even reproduced three unique paint schemes of real Raptors; the air superiority camouflage of the EMD 91-4001 Prototype of September 1997, the temporary "Blue Nose" decoration of the "Cripes A'Mighty" Raptor assigned to the 149th Fighter Squadron in April 2010, and a generic Mid-Production livery sporting the markings of the last Raptor ever produced that flew for the first time in March 2012. Templates by yakarov79, tweaked by yours truly, are included for your skinning fantasies. Notes: -The cockpit is not yet accurate, as various details couldn't be reworked due to RL and time constraints. We were working on a brand new cockpit with accurate HUD and displays. Slimers with correct illumination were also planned. Hopefully they will be a thing in a future re-release. -The aircraft folder is named "F-22A", just like the one included in a number of mod packages which use an old 3d model by Dels. In order to avoid mismatches and bugs of any sort, it's highly suggested to either remove or rename the aircraft folder using Dels' Raptor 3d model. -GPS guidance bombs (EOGB) do not work as intended in SF2, there are issues about them not locking on target and about AI behaviour. The GBU-39 has been set as an EOGR, so it works like a missile; this is a needed workaround to have them loaded properly on a rack while keeping the GPS guidance property. -You need to tweak the SoundList.ini file in order to fully experience any new sounds. Read "(Add to SoundList)" for further details, and remember to extract the SoundList.ini file from the FlightData.cat archive, if you do not have a custom one in your mod folder already. >Credits (in no particular order): -Heberth, for making this (once forgotten) fantastic 3d model. -Julhelm, for sharing the files of his superb F-22A cockpit 3d model, allowing yakarov79 to improve upon it. -yakarov79, for his invaluable help in finalizing the 3d model and remaking the base textures; you have my gratitude. -baffmeister, for his excellent flight model; it's thanks to him if this beauty flies as good as it looks. -Crusader, for reworking the avionics enhancement made for Julhelm's F-22A cockpit, and for improving the AIM missiles. -guuruu, for sharing his RWR symbols improvement mod and for making better engine sounds. -ravenclaw_007, for the AIM missiles from his top notch Weapons Pack 2, the GBU-32 JDAM bomb and the ACES II seat 3d models. -viper63a, for his old F-22A USAF Raptors Redux package, from which I borrowed decals. -simonmiller416, for his smokeless rocket effects mod. -mue, for his LOD Viewer which helped immensely in the making of the skins. -Cocas, for further help given to Heberth for the aircraft's 3d model. -My girlfriend, for supporting me in all of my endeavours. Additional ReadMe files by yakarov79 and baffmeister have been included among few others; be sure to read those to know about their work in better detail. >Disclaimer: This is a freeware; yet it can be redistributed ONLY in other CombatACE mods/mod packages. This mod may NOT in any way, shape or form be used in any payware additions.

This has been a labor of love for my all-time favorite fighter aircraft. The service period of this aircraft fits perfectly with the time period that the Strike Fighters 2 game engine gives its best: Gun armed jet fighters with short range missiles and early/ limited avionics. Changes: - The ‘SF2V Air & Ground War Expansion v.2.0 Gold’ and ‘F-8 DATA & LOADOUT v1.0 update’ here at CA were used as a starting point for this project. - Maximum G has been changed to 6.3 which is the airframe structural limit in all NATOPS publications. - There are automatically operating ‘fake’ leading edge droops (slats) that simulates the pilot being able to lower them a few degrees with a button on the throttle for cruising flight and manoeuvring flight (aka dog fighting). By ‘fake’ I mean they are not player operated in SF2 or linked to the 3D model but the aerodynamic effect is realistically simulated. You will notice the droop indicator in the cockpit will change with them however. If they were manually controlled in the game the AI would not use them correctly. - Single AIM-9 missiles and rails can be loaded instead of the Y-racks on all F-8 variants. This is done at the loadout screen (and by the loadout.ini file) it is set up so you cannot load single missiles/ rails and double missiles/ Y-racks at the same time. - Cannons harmonized as per NATOPS manual and gun accuracy adjusted to real world levels. - Adjustment to most decal positions and inclusion of Squadron codes on the wings. - Additional details added to most stock skins. - Additional squadron specific higher resolution skins with more accurate markings for that particular squadron. - Included for F-8J (69) is a proposed SEA camo overpaint for the VF-211 aircraft on detachment at Udorn in early 1972 to school USAF pilots in Dogfighting. The repaint was initially agreed to but it would have added 1200lbs so it was abandoned. If you wish to use it and fly DACT against USAF Phantoms you can load the extra 1200lb at the load out screen via a unique station specific hard point. - Overhaul of each data.ini and avionics.ini to bring them in line with the information in the F-8 NATOPS manuals, NATOPS supplements and F-8 Tactics manual. - More detailed pilots and ejection seats. - Fully compatible with ‘SF2V Air & Ground War Expansion v.2.0 Gold’ or Third Wire SF2V campaigns. - Additional year specific aircraft to better reflect physical and avionic changes. As well as correcting a few mistakes and omissions by Third Wire. - Below is the updated list of F-8 Crusader variants with the original Third Wire description where appropriate and the specific major changes made in addition to the general ones listed above: F-8C The F-8C (F8U-2) entered service in 1959. F-8C is powered by J57-P-16 afterburning turbojet and can reach speed of Mach 1.6. - Missing radar symbology added and radar performance/ parameters corrected. The radar cursor for selecting a target is a long horizontal line that moves up from the bottom of the scope and is only adjustable in range and not azimuth to select a specific radar contact. F-8C (66) In 1966, F-8C received ALQ-51 ECM and chaff dispensers under project "SHOEHORN", after A-4 and F-4 were upgraded. The cannon ammo capacity is reduced slightly to make room for the ECM black box. - Uses the TW F-8D model modified into a F-8C in order for it to have the Y-rack Fuselage weapon rails. F-8D The F-8D (F8U-2N) was the all-weather interceptor version, entering service in 1960. It is equipped with AN/APQ-83 radar and more powerful J57-P-20 engine. - Missing radar symbology added including steering circle, aiming dot, break X and missile max range. F-8D (66) F-8D also received ALQ-51 ECM and chaff dispensers under project "SHOEHORN" in 1966. The cannon ammo capacity is reduced slightly to make room for the ECM black box. F-8E The F-8E (F8U-2NE), entering service in 1962, was the final production version of the Crusader. It is equipped with better AN/APQ-94 radar, and two underwing pylons for air-to-ground ordnance. - Radar frame lock, range and shoot cue lights all completely changed and now function correctly. See screenshot for more information. - Missing radar symbology added including range rate circle, which also doubles as the steering circle, aiming dot, break X and missile max range. - Missile firing order and cockpit weapon station section dial corrected. F-8E (66) F-8E also received ALQ-51 ECM and chaff dispensers under project "SHOEHORN" in 1966. The cannon ammo capacity is reduced slightly to make room for the ECM black box. - Significant use of the AIM-9C as after a lot of research it turns out they were commonly carried over Vietnam in this period, notably by VF-211. F-8E(FN) The F-8E(FN) is the French Aeronautique Navale version of the F-8 armed with Matra R.530 missiles. Nicknamed "Le Crouze" by the French crew, it operated off Clemenceau-class carriers from 1964 to 1994 until they were upgraded to F-8P standard. F-8E(FN) introduced many of the features, such as double-hinged leading edge flaps and drooping ailerons, that were later incorporated into remanufactured F-8J for the US Navy. - Equipped with the nose mounted IRST system like the USN F-8D and E. - This is the TW F-8J model modified into a F-8E(FN) so the DLC is NOT required. - Radar frame lock, range and shoot cue lights all completely changed and now function correctly. See screenshot for more information. - Location of Matra R.530 missile rails corrected. F-8E(FN) (70) - The nose mounted IRST system is removed from all French aircraft. F-8P(FN) - 17 F-8E(FN) are upgraded to extend their service life, included is the Sherloc RWR system. - This is the TW F-8J model modified into a F-8P(FN) so the DLC is NOT required. F-8P(FN) (94) - F-8P(FN) are fitted with a GPS navigation system and antenna. F-8H Starting in 1967, F-8Ds were remanufactured as F-8H, with improved AN/APQ-149 radar, ALQ-51 ECM, and the same underwing pylons as F-8E. - Retains the AN/APQ-83 radar from the F-8D but uses the physically larger and higher resolution cockpit radar display from the F-8E. - Missing radar symbology added including steering circle, aiming dot, break X and missile max range. - Radar frame lock, range and shoot cue lights all completely changed and now function correctly. See attached for more information. - Missile firing order and cockpit weapon station section dial corrected. F-8H (69) F-8H is re-engined in 1969 with more powerful J57-P-420 engine. It also has improved ALQ-100 ECM in a larger pod, and full cannon ammo capacity restored. - Improved AN/APQ-149 radar fitted in place of the AN/APQ-83. - Additional missing radar symbology added including separate larger range rate circle and separate smaller steering circle. - A lot of fleet F-8H around this period have had their Nose IRST system (temporarily?) removed. - Retains the ALQ-51 ECM. F-8H (74) - After the Vietnam war F-8H has the improved ALQ-100 ECM in a larger pod installed, and full cannon ammo capacity restored. F-8J F-8J is a remanufactured F-8E with improved AN/APQ-149 radar, ALQ-51 ECM, and other improvements such as double-hinged leading edge flaps and drooping ailerons. However, its performance has suffered significantly due to increases in its weight. - Improved AN/APQ-124 radar installed. - Radar frame lock, range and shoot cue lights all completely changed and now function correctly. See screenshot for more information. - Missing radar symbology added including separate larger range rate circle, separate smaller steering circle, aiming dot, break X and missile max range. - Missile firing order and cockpit weapon station section dial corrected. F-8J (69) To restore lost performance due to increased weight, F-8J is re-engined in 1969 with more powerful J57-P-420 engine. It also has improved ALQ-100 ECM in a larger pod, and full cannon ammo capacity restored. F-8J (75) - In 1975 the remaining fleet F-8J (along with the RF-8G) receive the ALQ-126 ECM and ALR-45/50 RHAW RWR. The nose mounted IRST system is permanently removed. F-8J (75) [w RWR] - Identical to F-8J (75) above except: - The cockpit radar display functions as a Vector RWR and not a radar. This is because in real life the pilot could change the radar scope from displaying radar images or displaying the RWR images. The F-8J did not have a separate RWR display. There was a setting in which it would be displaying radar images but if a missile launch was detected the threat bearing line would be displayed flashing over top of the radar images. Not possible in SF2 unfortunately. To install: 1, Unpack and drop into your main mods folder. 2, Override when prompted. Credits: - ‘F-8 DATA & LOADOUT v1.0 update’ by FANATIC MODDER. - ‘SF2V Air & Ground War Expansion v.2.0 Gold’ by Eburger68 and team. - ‘F-8E(FN) Crouze & F-8P(FN) Crouze Prolongé 1.1’ by Paulopanz, Denis Oliveira & Coupi. - Weapons by Ravenclaw_007. - Template by Geary. - Blade. - Wrench. HQ-9 Self Propelled Air Defence System The FD-2000/HQ-9 was developed to provide a long range SAM capability, distinct from the medium range capabilities of the HQ-12/KS-1 series. The FT-2000 is a derivative which is fitted with an anti-radiation seeker and intended for engagements against AEW&C/AWACS and stand-off jamming aircraft. The HQ-9 is supported by the HT-233 phased array engagement radar, like the H-200 modelled on the MPQ-53 and 30N6E designs, carried on a Taian TAS5501 series 10 x 10 high mobility vehicle, common to the HQ-9 TEL and similar in design to the S-400's BAZ-6900 series vehicle. Chinese sources claim C-band operation with 300 MHz receiver/antenna bandwidth, detection and tracking range of 150/100 km, and monopulse angle tracking to resist jamming. The design bears considerable similarity to the 30N6E series, especially in the antenna design. Recently disclosed imagery shows the use of the self-propelled Type 305A, Type 305B and Type 120 radars as the battery acquisition radar component. The designation FD-2000 is for export configurations of the HQ-9. Instalation: ------------------------------------------------------------- Put the content of the objects/ folder in your mod folder. The Hawker Siddeley Harrier is a British military aircraft. It was the first of the Harrier Jump Jet series of aircraft and was developed in the 1960s as the first operational ground attack and reconnaissance aircraft with vertical/short takeoff and landing (V/STOL) capabilities and the only truly successful V/STOL design of that era. The Harrier was developed directly from the Hawker Siddeley Kestrel prototype aircraft, following the cancellation of a more advanced supersonic aircraft, the Hawker Siddeley P.1154. The British Royal Air Force (RAF) ordered the Harrier GR.1 and GR.3 variants in the late 1960s. Buk M2E Surface to Air missile system The Buk missile system is a family of self-propelled, medium-range surface-to-air missile systems developed by the Soviet Union and its successor state, the Russian Federation, and designed to counter cruise missiles, smart bombs, fixed- and rotary-wing aircraft, and unmanned aerial vehicles The Buk system was created as a replacement of the 9k12 Kub in the air defenses forces of the Soviet Union and succesor states. A typical batallion consist of a command vehicle, a target acquisition radar vehicle and 6 TELAR vehicles, with three TELs. The M2E variant uses the 6x6 MZKT-6922 wheeled vehicle, in order to produce a hight road mobility and low operating cost variant of the system. The pack contains the 9K317E Buk M2E / MZKT-6922 TELAR and the 9S18M1E Snow Drift acquisition Radar mounted on a MZKT-6922 trnasport. Finally, this pack is still a BETA, need some fine tunning inthe missile and system performance and other vehicles asociated with the system like the command post and the low level radar. Contributors: As Baffmeister noticed, the internal fuel tanks section wasn't explicited enough. That thing was corrected. Just replace the dataini file of the plane. Special thanks to Logan4 who helped, correcting in 3DMax the model errors and valors and Baffmeister for detecting them in time.

YAK-130 (NATO code name MITTEN) by UllyB May 1st 2021/ver 1.0 **************************************** The Yak-130 combat trainer was selected as the winner of the trainer competition of the Voyenno Vozdushnyye Sily, Russian Federation Air Force, in April 2002. The aircraft is also actively marketed for export by Yakovlev, the Irkut company, and by Rosoboronexport. The Yak-130 combat trainer was selected as the winner of the trainer competition of the Voyenno Vozdushnyye Sily, Russian Federation Air Force, in April 2002. The aircraft is also actively marketed for export by Yakovlev, the Irkut company, and by Rosoboronexport. The Russian Air Force has a future requirement for 300 Yak-130 aircraft that can be deployed as a light strike aircraft or as a trainer for a range of fourth or fifth-generation fighters. An order was placed for the first 12 aircraft to replace ageing Aero Vodochody L-39 Albatros in 2002. The aircraft entered service in the Russian Federation Air Force at the military pilot training academy in Krasnodar in July 2009 and was showcased in the MAKS 2009 air show. The production line for the aircraft at the Aviation Plant Sokol in Nizhny Novgorod, known as NAZ Sokol, is fully operational and the roll out of the first production series aircraft took place in May 2003. A series of flight tests of the serial production aircraft was started in April 2004. The Russian Air Force ordered official testing in May 2005. The full trials of the advanced combat trainer, including spin and combat tactics trials, were completed in December 2009 prior to delivery of the first two production aircraft to the Russian Air Force. The first Yak-130 ordered by the Russian Air Force completed its flight acceptance test at Sokol in August 2009. The Russian Air Force received the first four of 12 Yak-130s between February 2010 and April 2010. Another five aircraft were delivered in April 2011. In December 2011, the Russian Ministry of Defence placed an order with Irkut for the delivery of 55 Yak-130 combat trainers by 2015. The first batch of six aircraft was delivered to the Russian Air Force in October 2012. The second batch of three Yak-130s was delivered in November 2012. The aircraft deliveries were completed in early 2015. The Russian Air Force commenced pilot training operations of the new Yak-130 combat aircraft in April 2013, however a Yak-130 plane crashed near Akhtubinsk in the Astrakhan region in April 2014. The aircraft performed a flight with advanced digital avionics suite developed by KRET in June 2014. *********************************************** Finally the bird is here! I confess that I did all that I could and depended on me for that aircraft to be a winner. I couldn't have done that without the help of my chosen team and some other good guys from CombatAce who helped also to the big push. I also included a custom setting version of the plane as I let you all know from the aircraft thread.Essentially the same plane with some custom decals, custom adjusted paintjobs, DDS/DXT3 aircraft holes textures, aircraft texture tweak (engine exhauster fake mesh) and an Insky Team cockpit (edited to have characters in Russian rather than Chinese).I also included a set of some stock white Arab serial numbers for the Syrian paintjob. Aircraft general features: - canopy animation (SHIFT+0) - aircraft workable slimmers (CTR+L) - two different fueltanks models (see aircraft texture folders) depending on the chosen aircraft skin. - custom fueltank to match the default aircraft texture colors/paintjob. - YAK-130 gundpod model special crafted for this edition - bump maps (normal maps) - Custom modified entries on aircraft wing to match ECM symetrical pods models (TALISMAN). - some modified textures for the cockpit to match Russians language. - regular aircraft night lights. - a suitable weapons collection hand picked by me for this very plane. - constructor logo special decals - special Russian Airforce decals - original paintjobs, including the factory prototype one. - superb/realistic pilot models - engine smoke/vapors realistic effect - custom made engine intake decals - special/bonus BELARUS paintjob custom made for the launching aircraft event. - Data.ini (engine section) /optional entries for an afterburner version. - Two cockpit models available, one for the custom edition, one for the 1.0 regular version. MiG-21SMT *************** This mod is made for SF2. ---------------------------------------------------------- I. History One of the major problems of the MiG-21 was the short range of the plane. The reason for it was the small internal fuel volume. To solve the problem additional tanks on the back were installed. First one in the MiG-21PF, later three beginning with MiG-21R. When the soviet Air Force demanded to make the MiG-21 to a nuclear weapon platform soon the short range seemt to be the major problem. So the designers took the latest version of the bird, the MiG-21SM and increased the fuel capacity of the back tanks dramatically. The MiG-21SMT was born. In the troops the plane was not liked very well. The pilots hated it to fly such an non agile plane. The plane got the nickname "Humpback" and this was not meant positive. Later a lot of SMT were reworked "in field", the big backtank was removed and replaced by the backtank of the MiG-21bis Lasur. Such reworked planes were called MiG-21ST. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- II. CREDITS: While making the MiG-21SMT i used a lot of files made by other modders. Thanks for this files! The LOD file is made: ~~~~~~~~~~ by TK The skin is made: ~~~~~~~ by Spillone104 The flight model is made : ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ by TK and modded by Spillone104 and a little bit by me The Cockpit is made ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ by Paladrian (Mago) The mods for the engine exhausts, nose antennas and pitot tubes and the big backtank for the SMT are all made ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ by Spillone104 ---------------------------------------------------------- III. INSTALLATION: -Unzip the folders into your object folder ---------------------------------------------------------- IV. COMMERCIAL USE IS NOT ALLOWED! The additionally parts are NOT FREEWARE. Please check the readme of that files. ------------------------------------------------------ VI. Known issues The plane is prepared for the file RED3201 which is taken from Red_Pilots_Part1 pack. CROTALE mod by GKABS 1) Historical background The Development of the Crotale Surface-to-Air Missile system began in 1964. The Crotale is a very short range SAM system (Sol-Air à Très Courte Portée or SATCP). It was said that South Africa paid 85% (France: 15%) of the first step development costs of this SAM System. The Crotale was named "Cactus" for South Africa. Thomson-CSF for the radar and the electronics, and Matra (Engine division) for the R440 missile were the two prime contractors. South Africa received the first systems in 1971. In 1971 France placed the first order for operational tests: 1 Acquisition Unit and 2 Firing Units. The Armée de l'Air bought this SAM system in order to protect their airfields. The Crotale in this first opérational version (Crotale 1000) was above all engaged for the Egypt-Libya and Angola wars in the 1980s. Further developments were launched for several customers among the 15 ones which ordered this system. 2) Installation in your Strike Fighters 2 installation(s) There are 2 options : - The "Sand" version in order to put in any "Desert" type SF2 install, - The "Green" version for any "European" type SF2 install. So you'll find them into 2 separated packs ready to play :) If you need any further help please read the Knowledge Base at: https://combatace.com/forums/forum/268-thirdwire-strike-fighters-2-series-knowledge-base/ 3) Credits - Coupi for suggesting the model, document, creating the data files, and testing. L-410UVP-T Turbolet ***************************************************** This mod is made for SF2. ---------------------------------------------------------- I. History The czech made L-410UVP light passenger and transport plane was developed to replace the old AN-2 biplanes. After a first version, called L-410A, the soviet Aeroflot airline demanded some changes, including better short take off capabilities. So the version L-410UVP was developed and widely exported in the COMECON states. The east german air force LSK, purchased 10 planes in 1980. They used it as training airplane for tranport pilots and navigators and for transport tasks. Parachute missions were made with the subversion L-410UVP-T (t- stands for Transport). VIP transport was made with subversion L-410UVP-S (s stands for Salon). Both versions were easy to discriminate. The T version had a black rubber plate behind the side door. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- II. Faroe islands 1.0 ***************************************************** This terrain is written for SF2NA. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ I. Short description: North of Scotland you will find small groups of islands, the Shetlands and the Faroe. They are nothing more than tiny rocks, surrounded by the icy waters of the Atlantic Ocean. On the first view completly unimportant rocks somewhere in the nowhere. But a second view shows high economical values. The islands sitting in the middle of rich fishing grounds, and then, even more, there is oil. North Sea oil. But not enough. A powerfull nation, that is able to install a base at the Faroe, rules all the waters between Iceland and the british islands. A hostile nation might be even able to raise a blockade over Great Britain. This makes some scenarios possible: First the classical what if the Soviets would had captured the Faroe and the US Navy starts an attempt to push them out. Second, what if America sends the Marines? Third, what if Britain tries to defeat the Soviets with own power? Forth, what if Hitler-Germany would have captured the Faroe? Fifth, what if the EU raise a blockade over a Brexit UK? Sixth, what if Britain was bought by President Trump instead Greenland and John Bull stand up to fight fort the british independence? ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ II. INSTALLATION: To run this terrain you need SF2NorthAtlantic. Unzip all files into your saved game folder ...ThirdWire\StrikeFighters2NorthAtlantic /terrain folder. Thats it. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ III. Modifications Faroe islands terrain is made so, that you can play it out of the box. You will find a classic Cold war scenario US Navy vs Soviet forces. Other possible scenarios are prepared. Open the folder Goodies and you will find the folder Nation ini In this folder you find 6 subfolders, one for each scenarios i have descriped above. Choose the one you like. In this subfolders you find the file FAEROER_NATION.ini. Copy this file to the Faeroer folder and let overwrite the existing file and enjoy the other scenario. (BTW personaly i prefer Brexit scenario. Flying Hunters vs Hunters is really fun.) Faroe islands terrain is made so, that you has 2 fixed carrer stations. For the red side a station north of the Shetlands. For the blue side south of the Faroes. If you want to have multible carrier stations, than you must open the Subfolder "multible carrier stations" and copy the file FAROE_WATER.bmp to the Faroe folder. When i started to make Faroe islands terrain i used TOD files made by M.Broers for the IcelandNA HFD terrain. Later i found out, that on the Faroes no trees exist. So i decided to remove the TOD files. If you want trees and TOD buildings, the copy the tod files in the Faroe folder. But be aware, there are not all tiles fitted with tods. It looks a little bit strange. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ IV. Credits. The basic Tileset i took from M.Breors terrain IcelandNA HFD. The basic files for the emergency runways, parking areas and quais are made by ErikGen. The OilRig was made by RussoUK for my PersianGulf terrain. I hope i have not forgotten someone. . ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ V. This Terrain is Freeware. Commercial use is not allowed. And i say it again for the YAP, YankeeAirPirates file thiefs, the use of this terrain and parts of the terrain for commercial use is not allowed. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ VI. P-12 and P-18 radar objects for SF2 series game. This is mostly eye candy stuff. Just to improve visual side of the game. In this pack, you will find new objects. But no worries nothing needs to be overwritten. Basic modding skills are required to run this mod. (copy/paste, mod folder structure etc.) Mostly this mod is for modders, terrain builders. As some radar settings need to be adjusted for proper working with your installs. Radar family/network type need to be adjusted and associated with your other SAM objects. Also, placement on terrains might be strange sometimes because of construction of the lod. All ini files are beta....mostly to make the object working - rotate radar mast, bend etc. All stations are set as EW radar and are connected to SA-2 radar network I'm hoping someone will do correct ini edits. Only if there are still some modders around here..... So do not complain if something is not working- just edit your way. You have working lod and skins... Basic skins green and tan. All skins are in 2048x2048 format. Tga in 1024x1024. So you have to resize for your own preferred size. So play with it, and hope someone will do better ini for this. credits: model, ini edits ,skins - me - JH. templates available upon request. regards. Sukhoi Su-25T Tankovy & Sukhoi Su-25SM Frogfoot for SF2 The Su-25T (Tankovy) is a dedicated antitank version, which has been combat-tested with notable success in Chechnya. The design of the aircraft is similar to the Su-25UB ( unification of 85%). The variant was converted to one-seater, with the rear seat replaced by additional avionics. It has all-weather and night attack capability. In addition to the full arsenal of weapons of the standard Su-25, the Su-25T can employ the KAB-500Kr TV-guided bomb, KH-58 ARM, R-73, MPS-410 ECM Pod and the semi-active laser-guided Kh-25ML. Its enlarged nosecone houses the Shkval optical TV and aiming system with the Prichal laser rangefinder and target designator. It can also carry Vikhr laser-guided, tube-launched missiles, which is its main antitank armament. For night operations, the low-light TV Merkuriy pod system can be carried under the fuselage. Three Su-25Ts prototypes were built in 1983–86 and 8 production aircraft were built in 1990. With the introduction of a definitive Russian Air Force Su-25 upgrade programme, in the form of Stroyevoy Modernizirovannyi, the Su-25T programme was officially canceled in 2000. The Su-25SM (Stroyevoy Modernizirovannyi) is an "affordable" upgrade programme for the Su-25, conceived by the Russian Air Force in 2000. The programme stems from the attempted Su-25T and Su-25TM (aka Su-39) upgrades, which were evaluated and labelled as over-sophisticated and expensive. The SM upgrade incorporates avionics enhancements and airframe refurbishment to extend the Frogfoot's service life by up to 500 flight hours or 5 years. The Su-25SM's all-new PRnK-25SM "Bars" navigation/attack suite is built around the BTsVM-90 digital computer system, originally planned for the Su-25TM upgrade programme. Navigation and attack precision provided by the new suite is three times better of the baseline Su-25. A new KA1-1-01 Head-Up Display (HUD) was added providing, among other things, double the field of view of the original ASP-17BTs-8 electro-optical sight. Other systems and components incorporated during the upgrade include a Multi-Function Display (MFD), RSBN-85 Short Range Aid to Navigation (SHORAN), ARK-35-1 Automatic Direction Finder (ADF), A-737-01 GPS/GLONASS Receiver, Karat-B-25 Flight Data Recorder (FDR), Berkut-1 Video Recording System (VRS), Banker-2 UHF/VHF communication radio, SO-96 Transponder and a L150 "Pastel" RWR. The R-95Sh engines have been overhauled and modified with an anti-surge system installed. The system is designed to improve the resistance of the engine to ingested powders and gases during gun and rocket salvo firing. The combination of reconditioned and new equipment, with increased automation and self-test capability has allowed for a reduction of pre- and post-flight maintenance by some 25 to 30%. Overall weight savings are around 300 kg (660 lb). Su-25SM weapon suite has been expanded with the addition of the Vympel R-73 highly agile air-to-air missile (without helmet mounted cuing) and the S-13T 130 mm rockets (carried in five-round B-13 pods). Further, the Kh-25ML and Kh-29L Weapon Employment Profiles have been significantly improved, permitting some complex missile launch scenarios to be executed, such as: firing two consecutive missiles on two different targets in a single attack pass. The GSh-30-2 cannon (250-round magazine) has received three new reduced rate-of-fire modes: 750, 375 and 188 Rounds per Minute. Like the Su-25T it can carry the MPS-410 ECM Pod. The eventual procurement programme is expected to include between 100 and 130 kits, covering 60 to 70 percent of the Russian Air Force active single-seat fleet, as operated in the early 2000s. The Su-25SM has been operating over Syria in 2015. Special note on the Vikhr rocket launcher tubes: TLR/ ATR weapons rack can only carry a maximum of 6 LGR missiles but the Vikhr rocket launcher for the Su-25T carries 8. As a work around there are two 8 tube ATR launchers that are different 'rack specific' weapon stations but have the exact same position. One of the launchers holds 6 LGR the other holds just 2. The missiles are positioned on the ATR racks so the one that holds 2 fills in the empty tubes of the ATR that holds 6. The Loadout.ini will loads both racks correctly but it is not possible to manually load them and get 8 rockets in the tubes, you will only get 6 if you do it manually. To install: Drop into your Mods folder Included in the ‘optional’ folder is a modified NATO Fighters 5 1986 Red Storm (WP) Campaign to include the Su-25T. It will show up an extra campaign named “861019 Red Storm (WP) Su-25T” and will not affect any of the other NATO Fighters campaigns. Air National Guard F-16A Block 15 Air Defense Fighter (ADF) The F-16 Air Defense Fighter (ADF) was a special variant of the Block 15 optimized for the United States Air National Guard's fighter interception mission. I started this by breathing some new life into the old TMF F-16A ADF but then after posting some screen shots JAT kindly offered to do an updated model so here it is: - Updated F-16A ADF 3D model by JAT81500 - New skins using the Team Viper F-16C High Res templates modified to fit the ADF. - Detailed Team Viper F-16 pilot model and ejection seat. - Flight model updated to the standard of the latest Team Viper F-16 flight model. - Third Wire F-16A cockpit and avionics modified to include the real world ADF upgrade (AIM-7/120). - Team Viper effects, sounds, fuel tanks and weapons. To install: Drop into your C:\Users\xxxxxx\Saved Games\ThirdWire\StrikeFighters XXXXX Credits: - JAT81500 for doing the updated F-16A ADF 3D model - TMF/ Mirage Factory for the original F-16A ADF. - The Viper Team for thier F-16C/AM series. - Ravenclaw for the weapons. - Migbuster fot the F-16C skin templates. - =58=Sprig, Creepn_Death & suhsjake for the old F-16A ADF skins I used some of the decals from. - FANATIC MODDER Enjoy, Dan (dtmdragon) History In October 1986, the USAF announced that operational block 15 F-16A/B aircraft would be converted to air defense fighters for the Air National Guard, and would take over the fighter interception mission, providing the primary defense of North America against bombers and cruise missiles. The first F-16A ADF conversion was completed in February 1989, while a contract was placed for kits to update and modify a total of 270 F-16A/B's at the Ogden Air Logistics Center in Utah. The Block 15 airframes used for the ADF program were all meant to be upgraded to block 15OCU standard, and both programs ran in conjunction. Aircraft entering the Ogden ALC for ADF upgrade also received the Block 15OCU avionics installation. The net result is that all ADF aircraft are Block 15OCU airframes. The last ADF left Ogden in 1992. Structure & Avionics Modifications included Bendix King (now Allied Signal) AN/ARC-200HF/SSB radios with Have Quick II Secure Speech Module and the Teledyne/E Systems Mk.XII Advanced IFF system (APX-109). The APG-66 radar was modified (designated APG-66A) to provide look down/shoot-down capability, enhanced small target detection, and CW (Continuous Wave) illumination for AIM-7 guidance. A 150,000 candlepower night identification spotlight was installed on the port side of the nose (below and in front of the cockpit) to aid in the identification of nighttime intruders. The aircraft were equipped to carry 600 (US) gallon (2,271 liter) external drop tanks, and to carry 6 BVR missiles such as the AIM-7 Sparrow or AIM-120 AMRAAM. Modifications & Upgrades The ADF aircraft can be distinguished from "standard" F-16A/B's by several external identifying features, such as long and thin horizontal bulges on the base of the vertical tail (only A-models), plus a set of four blade antenna, nicknamed "bird-slicer", carried just forward of the canopy (as part of the IFF system). The bulges are caused by the relocation of the Bendix-King AN/ARC-200 high frequency single-sideband radio to the leading edge of the fin. This in turn caused the flight control accumulators, which were installed one over the other, to be relocated to either side of the tail fin. The bulges were installed to provide sufficient room for these accumulators. Note that, since the Bravo-model ADF's do not have the Bendix HF radio, they also don't have the bulges. Production All ADF F-16s are modified airframes. Existing Block 15 models where converted to the Block 15OCU upgrade and to ADF standard at once. In total, 271 airframes, consisting in 246 A-models and 25 B-models have been converted between 1989 and 1992. Minor differences exist between the A-model and B-model as described earlier. Because of the fall of the Berlin wall in 1989 and the opening of relationships between West and East, the program had lost its major reason of existence, being the protection of the North American continent against Russian bombers flying over the North Pole. Although the program was finished and all aircraft stayed into service with the Air National Guard detachments, they were the first to be mothballed at AMARC with the first major restructuring of the USAF. Beginning in 1994, these aircraft began to be replaced by newer F-16C variants. By 2005, only the North Dakota ANG was flying this variant, with these last examples retired by 2007. A lot of these ADF F-16s are a very cheap and quite modern asset for allied countries. These aircraft have relatively low flying hours on their airframes. A lot of them are sold on the second-hand market. Jordan was the first to receive 12 A-models and 4-models under the Peace Falcon program in 1997. Most have since been received the Mid Life Upgrade (MLU). Thailand has acquired another batch of 15 A-models and 1 B-model under the Peace Naresuan IV program. Also the Italian Air Force received 26 A-models and 4 B-models under a 10-year lease agreement called Peace Caesar.

This file represents the Absalom Class support Ship of the Royal Danish Navy, an innovative design that allows a multipurpose command and support ship with the firepower of a frigate. The Absalon class are support ships of the Royal Danish Navy, commissioned in 2005. The two ships in the class may be described as an hybrid between a Frigate and military transport ship with multi role capabilities, with the capacity for being transformed from a combat ship with the firepower of a traditional frigate to a hospital ship within a day The class is based on a frigate-like design, but built with an internal multipurpose deck (flex deck) and a stern vehicle ramp. The ships can serve as command platforms for a staff of 75 persons (naval or joint staff) with a containerized command and control centre, transport and base of operations for a company-sized landing force of some 200 men with vehicles. Alternatively, the flex deck can be used for mine-laying operations with a capacity of some 300 mines, or be fitted out for mine-clearing operations and launch and recover mine detecting and clearing equipment via a retractable gantry crane, adjacent to the stern vehicle ramp, which also is used for launching and recovering the fast landing craft. Furthermore the flex deck can support a containerized hospital or simply transport a number of ISO standard containers or some 55 vehicles including, up to 7 MBTs. The ships can carry two LCPs (Storebro SB90E), two rigid hull inflatable boats and two EH101 helicopters. The standard weapons of the Absalon class can be supplemented through the use of StanFlex mission modules. A special weapons deck (nicknamed the 'Bathtub') is designed with five StanFlex module slots.[7] Because of the Bathtub's position, only missile-firing weapons modules can be installed Both ship have seen action in counter-piracy operations in the Horn of Africa, as part of the international effort to fight the piracy in the region, one of the most active maritime routes of the world. Without his help this project will be still in the dry dock. Again any critics or constructive critics will be welcomed.
