Brother, his radar isn't even turned on. Elvis has left the building We're never going to see any upgrades/updates/patches/fixes for SF2 unless we do it ourselves.

I spy with my eye that your Texas ANG has assigned markings of the 111th FIS. 111th did not have a band with Texas State on it at the time of Mustangs. and definitely not red. At this time they had a blue top of the tailfin and wingtips. Years later blue band with a state shape appeared on F-80 and T-birds and on one Skytrain (maybe also on some support airframes). Even F-81H (after the squadron returned from Korea mostly had blue fin tops/wingtips. Briefly, F-80 had blue trim with a Texas state shape on the fin and Texas State Seal / 'Ace in the hole' on the nose sides...After that, a blue band with an 'ace in the hole' - 111th insignia was introduced The red band with the Texas state shape was a marking of the 182nd FIS/FS. in fact, the displayed number on your TEX-ANG is 44-74656 P-51D-30-NA - served in 127th Pilot Training Group until 1952(?) here is a photo from the airshow... 182nd Squadron Mustang D-25-NA 44-72773....check the contrast of red trim compared to blue one on another aircraft -F-80 - which belongs to 111th FIS...and then noteworthy is F-84E - which is just display aircraft as 111th did not use thunders after service in Korea...(blue band on the tail is also wrong - during service in Korea they had slanted blue band outlined in black with 'ace in the hole' badge - but this is a different story already)

Did a quick test and found out that DECEPTIVE_JAMMER and NOISE_JAMMER is your uber jam anything modes for your internal ECM. DUAL_MODE is fairly realistic as it models burn through, where the other two modes work at any range. The catch is that you must be far away from the radar to jam it. Otherwise, once it goes off you can't jam it, i.e. turning off and on doesn't work, it's just how the game works. So if you want realism go with DUAL_MODE, and if you want uber ECM go with the other two. I don't know how the logic did it since early ECM didn't work that well (from what I understand), so a USN A-7 can jam radars very good in the game. I don't know or care about the real-world performance (and if I somehow knew, I wouldn't tell you anyway) of the ECM jammers since the podded ECM doesn't do shit for you. But that's just a quick look at the ECM functionality in the game. Hopefully (as we've already beaten a dead horse) it can be fixed in the future, but that's what I'm seeing. And as for the Growler, it seems like there is no internal jammer for it, just the ALQ-99 pods that serve as the jammer system. Well for now unless a miracle happens I won't be removing the jammer from the plane until the pod situation can be sorted out. Also retextured the ALQ-99 pods:

if i recall, my skinpack for the 707 has a Aerolineas Argentina in there. for several eras possibly even only catch is that its as a decal, so you roll the dice on what you get or play with the numbers list and textureset some

That's the one thing I wish I had the skillset to do or even knew where to begin with, is build 3rd party patches that add (or at least jerry-rig) new features and fix a tonne of the bugs in SF2.

Well did some tests and found out that podded ECM jammers don't seem to work, or maybe the pods were too low powered. I did the test by removing the internal jammer on the Growler and found out with pods that the pods didn't seem to work. Is that a known issue or bug? If so then it's one of the other innumerable fixes that needs to be done, sometime. Who knows if it's on TK's radar or not (more than likely not). But otherwise I put it back in and it worked fine. Found out the setting to allow the Growler to jam radars more effectively. I'll post an update here for the Growlers. I think this is the best fit setting to work with the EA-6B Superpack, so there is jammer capability when assigning it as an Escort Jammer role, and for SEAD: ReferenceName=AN/ALQ-214v5 SystemType=ECM_JAMMER JammerType=NOISE_JAMMER JammerStrength=118.8 MinFreq=2.0 MaxFreq=20.0 CanJamCW=TRUE MinExtentPosition=-0.404,-2.859,0.608 MaxExtentPosition=0.404,-0.824,1.018

I trimmed yesterday the old thread, from all these began, "What will be next" and I reread this part: Let's take the Su-34 as an example. I would love to have it in game, but first we have the cockpit issue - a Su-34 with F-111 or B-1B cockpit - no, thanks, I'd rather have something else. Then we also have the various pylon and rail taypes used on the Su-34 for A2A, A2G missiles, bombs, drop tanks, etc. I doubt many modders would be interested and would spend the time needed to model all correct pylons and rails for the Su-34 and having bombs loaded on missile rails or missiles on bomb pylons is a no-go for me. Well I don't know if Svetlin remembers his post but I want to let you all know, Svetlin included, that...we will have these...various pylons fro A-A and A-G missiles, bombs, drop tanks etc :) Actually half of the work is already made. You are welcome :)
