Managed to trap the F-4B (67) after some guidance from Nightshade/PR. It's a bit different as last time I think I was just heavy and didn't drop full flaps (the Super Hornet/Growler spoils me with auto flaps), but this time I did. I came in fast as I don't have a speed indicator on the HUD so it makes it a bit hard to judge speed, but I made it without banging up the deck.

Putting the earlier Phantoms on the deck requires constant power inputs. Cutting back with the gear & hook down and flaps out, it bleeds speed and sinks at a prodigious rate, so you're constantly putting on and pulling off power to keep a steady approach and not stalling. I try and stay between 160-165 knots. It's a little fast, but I find I can control it better.

I need to practice more with the F-4B, or any F-4 for that matter landing it on the deck.

Glad I could be of assistance. Every now and then, I have to be reminded the F-104 is an Interceptor; not a dogfighter.

The Battle of the Bzura (or the Battle of Kutno) was the largest Polish counter-attack of the German invasion of Poland and was fought from 9 to 19 September 1939. The battle took place west of Warsaw, near the Bzura River. It began as a Polish counter-offensive, which gained initial success, but the Germans outflanked the Polish forces with a concentrated counter-attack. Finally the Polish forces were completly destroyed.
