As a reminder to back up your stuff: With no warning, the MB on my latest computer purchased in July with all the latest toys, failed yesterday. There were multiple fault indicator lights, no power to any of the components or ports, won't post (boot), and every troubleshooting technique was a no-go. Explaining the situation to tech support garnered the phrase "Yeah, it's dead, but since it's under warranty, send it back & we'll replace it." Luckily, I had just completed a backup on Thursday morning. Once More as a reminder: "Back Up Your Files."

My hard drive lasted 9 years. I don’t mean it was bought 9 years ago, but I mean it worked for 9 years. I never backed up anything. But one day I noticed that when I deleted a file, the computer froze for a few seconds. This alarmed me. because it was unusual. I checked the hard drive for bad sectors with the VictoriaHDD537 program under Windows XP. it found several bad sectors. After that, the hard drive worked for about another month and again, when copying, the computer froze for a few seconds. I checked again. But this time there were already about a hundred bad sectors. And again I worked on this hard drive for a month or more. And again the computer froze. I decided it was time to do a back-up! I took the disk out of the computer and connected it via an adapter to the USB port and started copying. I copied for several hours. And at that very minute, as the last file was copied, my old friend stopped. My friend's engine stopped forever. All files were rewritten, not a single one was lost. That was WD HDD. RIP my friend. I can't throw it away. it's still in my desk drawer. Good eternal dreams, my friend. I hope you're in hard drive heaven.

I've only 1 fan here with my latest FM. Rest stayed on second PC in Norway;-) Ofc you must use thrust vectoring for vertical TO and landing. AH-64A.7z

Smart A$$ Not for awhile now. Between travel time both ways @ repair time in betwixt, I'm probably out of commission for the next month. I can keep up with events on my tablet, but that's about all.

I used Copy\Paste software. It is cheap and fast! hahaha, sorry for this useless answer. you were probably hoping for a smarter answer. I don't know about DCS but iL-2 and SF2 is portable. any version is. There is a special program for FSX and FS2004. It's called a register fixer. And they become portable too. I don't know if this program is legal or hacker. Now I can’t check it because I don’t have these games installed.

Try my Apache ;-) And yes, AI landings are the hardest part of FM. AI must correct land with 2 conditions. No load, low fuel and Max load , max fuel . And it is problem to find compromise beetween AI TO and landing ....

first: no im not volunteering but textures are one of the things we can fix up easiest in theis community if you get someone with the interest in it. half to 3/4 of the skillsets around here amount to skinning, with ini work, decalling and modelling filling in the rest but cockpit models seems to be the holiest of teh rare holies anymore so that would be a rather big hold up

Sukhoi Su-9PF 'Fishpot-A' for STRIKE FIGHTERS 2 This is a simple mod of the stock Su-9 interceptor to create a fictional Su-9PF in service with the Warsaw Pact air forces of Bulgaria, Czechoslovakia, East Germany, Hungary, Poland, Romania and the USSR in an overall 1961-1983 timeline. The skins and markings are pretty generic and mainly use stock Third Wire stuff but I did create some new number decals for the Bulgarian, Hungarian and Romanian aircraft. I decided not make a skin for Albania as it was not part of the contiguous border between east and west and, in any case, it quit the Warsaw Pact in 1968. INSTRUCTIONS 1. From the AIRCRAFT folder drag and drop the Su-9PF folder into your Aircraft folder. 2. From the DECALS folder drag and drop the Su-9PF folder into your Decals folder. 3. From the WEAPONS folder drag and drop the AA-1B2 folder into your Weapons folder. That's it! The AA-1B2 is a cloned 'Alkali' missile that I've altered simply to allow it to be carried by the WarPac nations - it's a pretty useless missile but I decided not to perk it up. But, for gameplay reasons, I've added guns to the Su-9PF with a simple edit that you can reverse. CREDITS As always, thanks to Third Wire for a great little game/sim. Special thanks to Stary for the Su-9 cockpit. And, finally, thanks to everyone in the wider Third Wire community. Regards Spinners Version 1 - November 4th, 2023

Ahh well, thing is I haven't been able to find a suitable model resource. This is what I got recently. The model is pretty good, but the textures are average. And believe me, There are a lot of projects going on at the same time, it’s just that making a player-operated (especially with a cockpit to make) aircrafts is harder than anything else. So they will take more time, maybe in due course I will update with some images showing the progress

Last flight on this computer before it's retirement. Fitting that it was the Tornado, wearing (in my eyes) the best looking scheme ever fielded for that airframe.

Man, I'm really wanting to pull the trigger on this. The only problem is, I now have Stage 3 Heart Failure and I'd hate to have someone find me dead with my stick in my hand.
