Hey Guys, hope this goes in the right forum. For some instability issues (being an IT guy) I had to format my PC and all went well until I added the SF Object Exporter (Dec2010-C) where I got the following error: This error (Code Error126) as I found in other forums is due to corruption or lack of some Microsoft Visual C++ Libraries, and it's advised to reinstall it in 32 and 64 bits. Reinstall it was a no-go for me. Tried to reinstall Max and fully clean up the Autodesk footprint, with the same result. So, here I am with the only idea to format the machine again (Windows 11) unless someone here has a better idea. Thanks in advance guys!

SF2 F-16A Block 1 (TMF) Pack 6/28/2024 -For SF2, Any and All-(SF2:I Required, Full 5 Merged Suggested) - Another 1stGen Salvage Operation - This is a rebuild of TMF's F-16A Block 1 Fighting Falcon. This is =JUST= the block 1, with its short life span (78-90, including exported/European built versions). Having SF2:I is required, as this mod makes use of the Netz's destroyed model. This mod is set up and labeled to cause =NO= conflicts with the myriad of F-16 mods, both based off the Third Wire Netz or any add-on Vipers. Skins remain in their original bmp format, in their original size and resolution. Most markings are decals, with the exception of some painted on national markings. Decal Randomization is TRUE. Each skin is provided with 24 historically correct serial number decals (for the A block 1). All necessary items are provided; drop tanks. decals, pilots, sounds, and so forth. Weapons used are all stock in-game items. If I missed anything, PLEASE let me know and I'll get it fixed. Please read the "Notes" for how to select the alternative STRIKE loadout. The canopy operates with the Standard Animations Keystroke (tm), Shift/0 (zero). The refueling door operates with the Shift/1 (one) keystroke. This also makes use of the expanded RWR listings, and hopefully I've gotten all them tgas together. The aircraft is supplied with 3 skins for the original "starting" Air Force users: USAF: 16th TFS, 388th TFW Belgian Air Force: No.359 Squadron (<1979) Netherlands Air Force (KLU) No.322 Squadron (<1980) Those squadrons in the stock 3W squadronlist.ini (BAF & KLU) have their displayed name activated via either my (patent pending) fake SqTail decal, or a squadron badge decal, or both. When in-game, on the Aircraft Selection Drop down you'll see: F-16A Blk 1 Fighting Falcon (TMF) So you can't mistake it for anything other than what it is. This will also differentialize THIS one from the many other Falcon mods zipping around, including the stock 3W one. As always fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them. The original readme is included. The 'Change Log' is, of course, in the Notes section below. Good Hunting & Happy Landings! Wrench Kevin Stein For Oli

To be exactly it was air base Mary-2 (i would prefer to write it Marij, because it had nothing to do with the english girls name Mary). There is a second airbase at this town in Turkmenistan, which is called Mary-1. Mary-2 was the home of the soviet fighter town. The rule was, that the soviets sent entire frontline fighter and fighterbomber regiments (squadrons in western terms) to Mary-2. The regiments got the task to "fight" against the aggressors. This was an contrast to USN Top Gun school, where the task was to "make the best better". The soviets sent all their pilots in, not only the best ones. At the end of the turn, the results of both the individual pilots and the entire regiment were evaluated. I think the photo, which you posted, was taken during a Mary-2 trip of one of the soviet fighter bomber regiments.

btw the first picture shows a "Fitter" aka su-17 swing-wing fighter-bomber. the type way extensively used in Afghanistan, but never for the Soviet "top gun". they used mig-21, -23, -29. cheers sokol

As I understand those were based at Mary. You're right that they were part of Afghan war fighter-bombers.

This marking is a personal marking, not soviet Top Gun. I think it is from Afghanistan campaign or in the late days of Soviet Union. The soviet Top Gun marking looked so:

3rd Wing Moves North The 3rd Tactical Fighter Wing was slated to leave Clark AB in the Phillipines in 1992. However the eruption of Mt Pinatubo in June 1991 caused a much more rapid departure than planned from the Philippines. The 3rd Wing set up shop at Elmendorf AFB, Alaska in December 1991, taking over from the 21st Wing that had been the host unit. By January 1994, the 3 Wing had the 19th and 54th Fighter Squadrons operating F-15C and D Eagles, the 90th Fighter Squadron operating the F-15E Strike Eagle, The 517th Airlift Squadron operating the C-130H Hercules and the 962nd Airborne Air Control Squadron operating the E-3A Sentry This mod sets up everything you need to send the 3rd Wing or any of its elements into battle in the mid 1990s. While primarily focused on the Pacific theater of operations, the 90th Fighter Squadron did participate in Operation Deny Flight in Europe from October 1995 until start of 1996. Included Aircraft: F-15C/D_91, F-15E_92, C-130H3, E-3A as well as the decals and pilots for these aircraft Weapons for each aircraft as was available in the mid 1990s Effects and sounds as needed to support the aircraft Installation unzip, open the "2 mod folder" and place into the mod folder of your choice. allow overwrites Credits ----------F-15C/D_91, F-15E_92---------------------- Viper63a - Cockpit work, skin template Spudknocker - Upgraded Flight Model and Weapons Loadout.
