6 pointsI'm also working on Patriot SAM, but just a question, do you happen to have a directory on when and how many PAC2 or 3s are being deployed by various operators? Giving these units a suitable look in SF2 is another matter, I am more obsessed with making them "historically accurate". The information I was able to retrieve was very fragmented, it would be better if there was a summary list. ===================================================================== For now, what I made for SF2: Missiles: MIM104B/C/D/E/F; Radar with Engagement Control Station Set(SAM_RADAR): ①MPQ-53 + MSQ-104 (For early PAC-2) ②MPQ-65A + MSQ-132 (For PAC-2/GEM) ③MPQ-65A + MSQ-132 (For PAC-3) Launcher Station(STATIC_SAM): ①M903 + MIM-104C/PAC-2 ②M903 + MIM-104D/PAC-2(GEM) ③M903 + MIM-104F/PAC-3 Any suggestions are welcome

3 pointsHello everyone! the A-4s and F-8s HUD with missile firing cue is successfully implemented. You can see it in this link: F-89D, H, and J accessiblity HUD is working perfectly now. Instead of using inner circle, the outer circle is used for firing cue since it much easier to see it. If using inner circle and adot, it i smore difficult to see, unlike Mark 8 gunisght. However, F-89B and C with A-1CM gunsight are being worked on for firing cue verison. Deafult N-9 Optical sight N--9 Optical Sight with firing cue when switching to AAM: I am going to release the next version of SF2 - ACP in combatace download section as next vesion of alpha. the next version wilb e posetd in that place from now on. 2 pointsgotta play with the formation ini, get these guys to close up tighter for the group shots
-
2 pointsYeah all I found were manuals and other stuff too, so looks like Wiki is the only way to list them. I mean the beauty of ini files is that you can always update them as more info comes along.

2 pointsHello everyone, It is true that everyonoe have their own ways of using various tools for texture / graphic editing. I use GIMP, the finest tools that I gerw so used to. I use it for all texture and effect (texture) editing. By the way, I am getitng used to HUD editing, here is working 'IRM" tracking with inner circle in F-8 Crusader. The most important part is that when switching between gun and IRM, HUD system changes from native gunsight (LOCS) and custom sights (Main and secondary gunsight) EXAMPLE: WHen switching to 20mm cannons in F-8 Crusader And when you switch to AAM, the 'lead' small circle disappears while the inner circle will act as 'missile lock cue" From now on, I will start postin gin main avionics thread. Thank you everyone for the supports and shaing ideas that got this system working. I've decided to use HUD methods, it's most practical as stated before. Cheers! Eagle114th

2 pointsView File R 91 FS Charles de Gaulle 1.What inclued: 1x aircraft carrier, R91 Charles de Gaulle the aircraft carrier is the flagship of the French Navy,I don't think I need to introduce too much about such a famous ship; 2.Note: According to available information, the most "obvious" defenses on the R 91 are several VLSs that launch Aster15, so I reserved their launch positions, but you need to get them(I mean the missile) from Whiteboysamurai's work such as "Horizon Forbin class", because he is not under Freeware license, so I will not include his work here; As for the remaining 20mm machine guns, I did not add them because their role in SF2 is very limited; 3.Usage: Unzip and copy Objects folder to where your game is installed; 4.Credits: (1)Sameh Aransa(offsite user): Original models and textures; (2)ME: port models to game add a lot of detail objects,do a lots of animation and texture works; Submitter simonmiller416 Submitted 11/13/2024 Category Aircraft Carriers

1 pointi myself find they match Wiki a little too closely in general. not sure sometimes who's copying who but with Wiki, you can go to the bottom and backtrack the sources for more indepth info. i dont ever recall seeing a sources or citation area in FAS
-
1 pointits interesting that there doesnt seem to be a book just on Patriots. on Scuds sure. on the HAWK sure. but non on MIM-104.... looked in my collection of books and no joy. also got curious and googled just to see if there was a book (led to the above observation). still no joy

1 pointI mean wiki should work for a list of operators, but yeah I've been looking for a good Patriot for a long time for SF2. But I'm sure you got that already in your searches as I don't know myself either.

1 pointJust a reminder that Sea Power: Naval Combat in the Missile Age by @Julhelm and @Stary among others is now out in early access on Steam. https://store.steampowered.com/app/1286220/Sea_Power__Naval_Combat_in_the_Missile_Age/

1 pointNice to know that modders like Julhelm and Stary worked in Sea Power. I didn't find them in the credits because I don't know their real names. This game is awesome!

1 pointi hope you'll excuse us for wondering, given the forum on this site has been cleared out, and its been a significant amount of time since the last updates we do understand that life happens. but even an update to say "life is happening, projects on the shelf for a moment" is appreciated by those that follow
