Hello everyone! Surprisely it did not take me that long time to re-work on the gunsight and I realy like this system very much. Fromn now on, I will be using 512 x 512 for all gunsight and use it to create various gunsight in differensize in MILs while the image itself remaind the same size. By using maths to calculate the location of the MILs for each section of gunsight, the edge of 512 x 512 is 150 MILs. NOTE: For in-game, the gunsight is set to 150 MILs, For example, for A-1C gusnight, whch is 50 MILs, using 150 MILs image (512 x 512), and in-game, by usiign 150 MILs, will show up as 50 MILs. I hope i make sense toy ou. This, in my opinion works better than re-adjusting MILs for differnt images in differen texture size. That way, all gunsight have the same qquality as each other without having some gunisght hat is higher in quality while some lower quality. Anyway, this wil give you an idea how I set up template to draw the gunsights: What you wills ee is red lines for position from center to corner of texture border, which gives me 45 degree. There are three circles: 25 / 50 / 100 MILs ANd youc an see how Mark 8 gunsight is made: NOTE: I am using both flight manual and the photo of gunsight recticle to as reference while using the template to create gunsights accurately as possible. Which results in this: What I didnot realize before is that the line from Mark 8 actualy start from 25 MILs and end at 150 MILs. That is so interesting! However, I am very hapy with the result of re-worked gunsight for all aircraft in the current version of SF2 - CAP v0.3 and the next version wil start using the new gunsight / optical sight system. Note you wil see each gunsight being correctly scaled according to gunsight they were designed for. Except for radar gunsight, due to SF2 not having moving gunsight in circule ways, like A-1C and A-4, so they are made in 50 MILs. Mark 20 Mod 4 Mark 11 Mod 1 (This image includes boht caged and computing leading gunsight) Mark 11 Mod 7 (This image includes boht caged and computing leading gunsight) N-9 (Unique version for F-89D) Unknown gunsight type - A-4 Skyhawk Unknown gunsight type - F-106 Delta Dart ASP-3N (MiG-15s and MiG-17s) I am now back workong on Mark 18 Gunsight for F-86s, along with A-1C and A-4 radar gunsights. Cheers!

Hey all! Myself and my partner are working on a Janes USAF mod and we are doing well with it. However, we have created some nice looking models, yet when we use the p3d exporter the model is so large it takes up the entire screen. After scaling it down and matching it to existing models we are replacing, it still has the same output of a very large model. We are so close to making things happen and we'd love to know if anyone could help us. We have corrected things, re-textured a ton of models already, and now we are onto creation. When we tried to contact a few modelers, such as those awesome guys who did Super Pro, we run into the issue of dead end email addresses being no longer active and a search in different sites shows them as not having logged in, in years. If anyone could help, please DM me here! Thanks! Hounddog

i´m not able to work on any mods right now but i thought that i can share something i did last year when i made my first AN/ALQ-101 ecm pod some years ago i did not have any of the reference material i have today , like manuals and original blue prints and pictures , so the first ALQ-101 pods i made are wrong by the dimensions and as well as the type names for it , that was the reason i started last year and made some new AN/ALQ-101 ecm pods thiis is what i came up with QRC-335A / AN/ALQ-101 AN/ALQ-101A with RAT AN/ALQ-101 (V)2 early version AN/ALQ-101 (V)2 late version AN/ALQ-101 (V2 Special , this are ecm pods for a specific threat expected on the mission the red markings are painted over the existing ones , this pods where always carried in a pair with an normal AN/ALQ-101 (V)2 pod ( early or late ) AN/ALQ-101 (V)3 AN/ALQ-101 (V)4 , USAF and German Air Force AN/ALQ-101 (V)6 , USAF and Israeli Air Force AN/ALQ-101 (V)8 , USAF and Iran Air Force AN/ALQ-101 (V)8 , Royal Air Force AN/ALQ-101 (V)9 , USAF and Iran Air Force AN/ALQ-101 (V)10 , USAF AN/ALQ-101 (V) 10 , German Air Force AN/ALQ-101 (V)10 , Royal Air Force all this ecm pods are in this pack , includet are new Loadout.ini for the Buccaneer because of new names for the UK pods , just drop them in to the respective folder and let overwrite if ask to PLEASE remove or delete any existing AN/ALQ-101 pods before you install this new ones ALQ-101 Pack.7z some reference material an F-4D with to AN/ALQ-101 (V)2 pods , the one in front is the one marked special original blue print from westinghouse by going true my Iran Air Force picture i came across this ecm pod , it is clearly an AN/ALQ-101 like the (V)8 but a short version of it , so i start searching for info material on a short version (V)8 and found this page in an T.O. !F-4C-35 manual and there is an AN/ALQ-101 (V)9 listed with a total lenght of 112 inches , so i found the short version pod , i just had no clue that this pod existed and that the Iranian Air Force got them the Iranian Air force modified this ecm pod to an X-Band pod around 2015 with a frequency range from 6.2 to 10.9 Ghz , the call it the Shahin X Band electronic warfare pod this pod is includet in the pack , picture is below Shahin X Band ecm pod have fun with the pods , ravenclaw_007

The decision to drop Strike Fighters series is actually strange from financial point of view. For post WWII era we have two great study sims - DCS and Falcon BMS. Lots of arcade flight games (not worthy being called sims), like Ace Combat or whatever. But for survey, lighter sims, right in the middle, there is an actual shortage on the market. Notice how Nuclear Option waltzed in and seized a decent following just overnight, and it is still in Early Access. A lot of people enjoy sim mode in War Thunder, but hate the grind, and won't mind an offline or less grindy version/spin-off of it. Strike Fighters 3 would easily get its share of the market, especially if it will have an online mode, but without the grind like in WT
