MiG-23FA MiG-23FA is a dogfight optimized version of the Flogger. It has no swing wings, but swept wings with a sweep of 38° leading edge. By omitting the swing wing the plane was made one ton lighter. By selecting the 38° wing sweep, the danger of flat spinning that occurs with the 45° sweep was avoided. Two additional hardpoints under the wings were installed. Negative points were the lower top speed of Mach 1.7 and the higher landing speed compared with the swing wing Floggers. Positive were better agility, bigger weapon load and easier handling behaviour. The MiG-23FA was made for the soviet Frontline Aviation (FA) and was comparable with the latest Mirage F.1 versions.

Hello everyone! Finaly got to finish working on the radar texture for F3H-2 / 4 / 5Demon. F3H-2 radar (AN/APG-51B) was the most challenging part, esepcaily with the texture around the radar scope. I hope it looks okay now. Here is screenshot of F3H-2 / 3 / 4 cockpit with new gunsight (mark 11 Mod 3): This is F3H-2M / 2N radar scope (AN/APG-51A) This is F3H-2 radar scope (An/APG-51B) The radar texture are based on F3H-2 / 3M / 3N flight manual: Finally, F2H-3's radar (AN/APQ-41), after studying the pattern of the radar scope color among another aircraft such as ADs, F3Hs, F3D, and other, and due to not having the actual pictures of radar scope, I believe that the dark orange color for radar scope background is more accurate theoretically. now that i've finished my bit for the F-35 remod, I can get back to terraining. In this case, the "Espana" map from Op.Pelayo. Been working on and off on it since late last year. Made a lot of corrections and retiling. All airports have been rebuilded and are complete, excepitng for minor eye candies. I'll have to stop work on it for a week or so sometime over the next few days, and I'm going to have to learn Winge 11 when my BRAND NEW MACHINE ARRIVES!!!!! (and none too soon -- this one is starting to really act out). Of course, reinstalling every-damn-thing!! (good part is, I get to finally use the full SF2 pack with all the DLCs I bought years ago!) As you can see below, using my (patent pending) special tiles, Ceuta looks a bit more like itself then before. There are about 5 or 6-ish new tiles, mostly ports, and so forth. This terrain has a lot of flaws, and I'm trying to correct as many I can (other wise Macalana and Stratos will yell at me <gr>)

I don't want to clog up the comments section of franconinja14's file so will just say this...the purpose of the subscriptions is to assist the site owner in covering the very large running costs (hosting, traffic etc.) that come with providing such a large library of downloads and discussion forums. They have done this single-handedly for many, many years at great personal expense (with some donations along the way) without making any profit, but since the site grows in traffic every year, that has become too much for one person to shoulder the burden of. Considering the price of entry of any TW gen 2 sim has always been at least $40 (it's never been a 'cheap' sim), the cost of a one month subscription every now and again is a bargain to take the game to the next level, especially with quality of the mods. For me, it is more than worth it and brings me a lot of joy knowing it adds to helping keep the lights on at CombatACE.

I have to agree ... the community as a whole is getting smaller. It was not an easy decision to make; there was much discussion behind the scenes. But we have to live with it. Sorry to say. You all have done a lot of good things. Stick around, maybe things will get better. At the very least, forum discussions can continue!

Mirage F1C (1973-1981) This mod is dedicated to BPAO, nothing would have been possible without him. This add-on shows the first 70 Mirage F-1C for the French Armée de l'Air. F1C-73 specifics: R550 R530 S530F, no CLB4/8, no AUF2-F1 (later) no radio-altimeter Seat Mk4 no RWR Early Radar CyranoIV-A Covered units : EC 1/5 Vendée.
