    3. EA-6B Superpack

This mod has been tested with Strike Fighters 2 Full 5+2 merged install; it should work with individual installations of SF2NA. The A-6 Superpack 1.51 or later is required in order to use the EA-6B Superpack.

Since the EA-6B Prowler is a modification to the A-6 Intruder airframe, the ThirdWire (3W) EA-6B model uses many of the same textures as the A-6. Therefore, creating an EA-6B Prowler add-on to the A-6 Superpack was a logical progression. I look forward to sharing the increased system fidelity and high resolution skins in this Superpack to enhance your SF2 experience.

      What the Superpack Does
This package is designed to enhance the default 3W EA-6B model and skins, expanding the prowler to multiple variants over time and providing additional skins and squadrons for each. Among the things added are:

High resolution (2048x2048) skins for both classic gull grey and tactical grey schemes
Additional variants of the existing skins, including differently colored radomes, tails, and low visibility details
Six different EA-6B variants (standard EA-6B, EXCAP, ICAP I, ICAP II Blk 82, ICAP II Blk 86/89, and ICAP III) with varying skins and systems.
Enhanced aircraft profiles for the loadout screens.
Additional decals, to include custom designed VAQ/VMAQ squadron tail logos and historically accurate BuNos on the tails.
Entries, logos, and markings for all USN and USMC EA-6B Prowler squadrons (including reserve squadrons) as part of the A-6 Superpack (required)
Enhanced hangar screens and loadscreens for each A-6 variant
Custom canopy markings and wing tanks for some squadrons
Added landing lights, pylon lights, and ventral anti-collision lights to models and skins
Further LOD enhancement, to include proper relative placement of Pilot/ECMOs, upgraded ejection seats, and the use of USN pilot LODs.
Enhancement of Avionics and Data files for each variant, with particular emphasis on AN/ALQ-99 Jammer frequencies and Defensive ECM (DECM) capability.

Because this mod uses and supersedes the 3W default EA-6B, the 3W EA-6B has been renamed EA-6B Prowler ICAP I. It is actually the third EA-6B of six variants included in the package, and has had its jamming capability and frequency coverage reduced to a more realistic level.

      What the Superpack Doesn't Do
This mod enhances default aircraft. If you don't have the default EA-6B LOD (available in SF2NA), or if you prefer to use a different set of EA-6B LODs, then this mod is of limited value to you.
Don't expect specific organizational insignia or logo placement. I tried to be historically accurate, but since these are skins designed to be compatible with all A-6 squadrons, organizationally specific markings cannot be supported. Likewise, squadron insignia change over time, and the limitation of using the default decals prevents this evolution. Variation between organizations is best represented by subtle differences between skins assigned to the same A-6 variant (e.g. the EA-6B with the white nose/tail may look slightly different than the one with the tan nose/white tail).
Additionally, the Superpack is unfortunately not flyable without further modification. You will need to provide your own cockpit in order to enable player use of the A-6. Two notable options are extracting the A-6 cockpit from Wings over Vietnam, or by purchasing RAZBAM's excellent EA-6 pack for Strike Fighters (recommended). Likewise, plenty of existing SF1 A-6 mods have cockpits that are compatible with this pack. Regardless of which selection you prefer, any cockpit you use for the A-6 Superpack will be compatible with the EA-6B Superpack as well.
Finally, the Superpack does not in any way change what missions are flyable by the game engine. There is no specific SAM Suppression mission in SF2, and the Prowler is unsuitable for cluster bomb delivery that is often part of SF2 SEAD missions (ICAP I and later variants don’t even have bombsights!). Hence, the only primary mission available to the Prowler is the role of Escort Jammer, which is not a player-flyable mission at the time of this writing. This means that while you may be able to fly the Prowler, you will be limited to Reconnaissance missions.

      Manual Installation
Simply copy the contents of this folder to your SF2 “mod” folder.
The EA-6B Superpack requires that the A-6 Superpack already be installed, and SF2NA must be present in order to use the 3W EA-6B model.

      The EA-6B Variants
      EA-6B Standard
This is the original EA-6B that flew near the end of the Vietnam War. The Standard EA-6B/ALQ-99 could cover frequency bands 1/2, 4, and part of 7.

      EA-6B EXCAP
This is the first upgrade of the EA-6B that provided coverage for additional frequency bands. Frequency bands covered by the ALQ-99A through ALQ-99C are 1/2, 4, 5/6,7(partial), and 8/9.

      EA-6B ICAP I
This is the EA-6B variant on which the 3W model is based. As such, this variant has retained the EA-6B folder name, even though it is not the first variant in the series.
The ICAP was the first major upgrade to the EA-6B line, and was also the first model used by the U.S. Marine Corps (all previous versions were exclusive to the U.S. Navy).
The ICAP-I and the corresponding ALQ-99D introduced digital receivers and integrated computer controlled jamming systems, and reapportioned the Electronic Countermeasure Officer (ECMO) workload so that ECMOs 2 and 3 (the "kids in back") were responsible for tactical jamming. The work-leveling and digital integration prompted the increase in Jamming Strength to 90. The ALQ-99D covers bands 1/2, 4, 5/6, 7 (partial), 8, and 9/10.

      EA-6B ICAP II Block 82
The ICAP II series of upgrades was a major update for the EA-6B line, incorporating expanded frequency coverage as well as improved avionics and ALQ-99 processing ability. The biggest jump in capability for the ICAP II was the universal exciter which covered bands 1-9, thereby obsolescing the dedication of individual pods to bands. Additionally, band 7 was now completely covered. The increase in Jammer Strength is justified by the further reduction of ECMO workload by the TEAMS system, which significantly improves response time against known/planned threats. The ICAP II is also notable as being the first Prowler to carry an offensive weapon, as it is capable of carrying the AGM-88 HARM.

      EA-6B ICAP II Block 86/89
The ICAP-II Block 86/89 ALQ-99F covers the 3 band, now providing coverage over the entire threat spectrum. This version of the ALQ-99F also provides 1kW per GHz, and most closely models the frequency coverage and jamming strength that was provided in the original 3W EA-6B.

      EA-6B ICAP III
Added mostly for completeness, the major upgrades in the ICAP III were more avionics oriented and less about the ALQ-99. However, the ALQ-99 exciter was upgraded to allow faster response in jamming a particular threat frequency.

    5. OA-4M Skyhawk, for SF2

      OA-4M Skyhawk by triplethr3at/pappychksix/Fracture

      = For SF2, Full-4/5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred) =

** The Full-4/5 Merged is a requirement, as the A-7D_78 cockpit is referenced for the Mod
      (SF2:E??).
If you don't have these minimum requirements, you shouldn't download this, as you
will not be able to use it.**

This is an overhaul of triplethr3at's SF2 USMC OA-4M Skyhawk FAC/Attack aircraft. All the
inis have been brought up to the latest (as of July, 2012) standard. Some modifications to
the avionics are existant more for 'playability' (meaning: it's far more capable then the
      Real Life ™ aircraft).

Loadouts use all common or garden variety stock 3W weapons. It is set to fly all mission
profiles as any other standard Scooter (with the exception of carrier basing). Decal
randomizations is implemented, and all skin maps are jpg.
The avionics hump, while not fitting quite as nice as I would like, and the
'probe/antenna/blister combo kit' are attached via the Fake Pilot Method ™*
New damage textures (dds) and a new SF2-style hangar screen are included. Data ini
modifications using the 'Remove Component Trick**' eliminate the shadow tractor beams from
the outer pylons as seen on other mods using the TA-4J LOD.

The Threat Library also makes use of dtmdragons' extensively expanded list (not included). A
userlist is included, even though the aircraft has only one User (USMC). SF2NA style Carrier
statements are listed in the Data ini, but commented out; as I was unable to determine if
these ever were flown from The Boats.

As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. So,
please read them. Also, give the "Notes" section a read too. More interesting and perhaps
      vital info there, as well.
Triplethr3at's original readme is included for histerical purposes.

    6. SF2 Korean War Era AD-4 Skyraiders

SF2 Korean War Era AD-4 Skyraider Pak

      = For SF2, Full-5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred) =

*Note: you MUST have SF2V as part of your Full-5 Merged install to gain access to the A-1H.lod this mod refers to.*
All aircraft have brand new skins, built from my Home Grown Template ™.
      Unites depicted are:

      VA-35, USS Leyte 1950
      VA-55, USS Valley Forge 1951
VA-75, USS Bon Homme Richard 1950-51
      VA-115, USS Philippine Sea 1950-51?
      VA-195, USS Princeton ???
      VA-702, USS Boxer (became VA-145)
      VA-923, USS Oriskany (became VA-125)
      VF-194, USS Boxer 1953? (became VA-196)
      VMA-121, Land Based, K-6 airfield

This is a complete aircraft (well, minus the Stock Lod ™ of course!), with a new radar-equipped cockpit by Dels. Skins are still in bmp format, making it usable in all SF2 merged game installs with access to the A-1H.lod. All markings are decals and are Randomized. BuNums are accurate for the aircraft variant depicted, but not for the actual ones used by the squadrons; consider them 'generic' for that purpose.

The 'USMC50s' pilot figure, AN/APS-4 radar pod and engine sounds are included. All weapons are included* (simple edits can make the stock 3W ones usable, if one has Expansion Pak 1).

Wingfold is NOT activated, but the canopy is. Use the Usual Suspect (shift/0) to open and close it. All lighting is histerically correct.

As always, fairly easy to follow, highly detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them.
Also, give the "Notes" section a read too.
      When in-game, you'll see "AD-4 Skyraider (3W)" on the selection drop-down.

    7. Third Wire Stock F-4E Kurnass Upgrade/ Realism Pack

Third Wire Stock F-4E Kurnass Upgrade/ Realism Pack.

This mod will upgrade all the stock Third wire F-4E Kurnass Aircraft with historically accurate weapon loads, more detailed ejection seats, nuclear weapons capability as well as improvements to the sounds and effects.

      Instillation:

Simply copy and past into your mods folder, you MUST click override when prompted for example the export start year on the stock ALQ-101 is incorrect for Israeli service etc

      Notes:

1, Most bombing and attack loadouts will only have one or two sidewinders for self defense. You will also notice that the bomb on the TER closest to the loaded sidewinder is not loaded. This is exactly how the Israeli Air force did it to avoid clearance issues. Also when the center station MER is loaded with M117 bombs the front center bomb is not loaded. Again this is how the IAF did it the time. If you want to use fully loaded TERs and have four Sidewinders you can simple load them on at the load out screen.

2, Israeli Phantoms stopped carrying the AIM-7 in the late 70s/ Early 80s when the F-15 took over the air-to-air role for the IAF. You will notice this with the loadouts of the F-4E Kurnass 78. Instead of Sparrows a single Python 3 IRM was carried on a specially modified pylon in the right front sparrow bay. Extra chaff and flare dispensers were carried in the rear sparrow bays. However If you want to carry the AIM-7 you can select a loadout with them in the single mission editor (not the loadout screen) since presumably the ability to carry them remained.

Credit goes to Strahi, MGunny 331KillerBee's Ordnance Shop II, Mirage Factory for the sounds and whoever did the updated Mk7 ejection seats sorry.

      Cheers,

    8. Canadair Sabre Mk.4 Pack, for SF2

Canadair Sabre Mk.4 Pack, Royal Air Force/Royal Canadian Air Force

      = For SF2, Any & All (Full-5 Merged Reccomended) =

Version 2.0, updated 2/13/2106 -- see change log

This package contains a complete revamp, for SF2, of my RAF Sabre Mk.4, originally released for SF/Wo* in 2006.

Contained within are skin/decals for the following RAF Squadrons, and one RCAF squadron, from the 2nd TAF based in Germany in the 1950s. These 3 are in "standard" period Euro Camo:

      3 Squadron
      92 Squadron
      112 Squadron (Sharkmouths)

and a revamped 1stGen RCAF skin:

414 Squadron, RCAF "Black Knights" (natural metal)

New skins for all were created using ravenclaw's beyond superb templates. All skins are in jpg format. Decal randomization is TRUE for all skins. New DDS damage textures are included, as is an all new SF2 version of my "Box Art" Hangar Screen. No weapons are supplied; drop tanks, rockets, bombs, etc can be found in the GunnyPak.
National insignia, finflash and 1 set of tail numbers reference stock items. Make sure you are current in your SF2 install! (read: I'm using RAF Hunter letters)
An all new, SF2-compliant FM was created for these aircraft; it flys like it should! A userlist ini is also included.

As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. Please READ them! Also, the "Notes" section for a more detailed change/correction list. The original readme from my SF/Wo* release is included, just for fun. Tim "Canada" Elliot's readme for the 414 skin is also included.

    9. Fix Pack for Razbam F-102 Delta Dagger

These are just some changes I came up with to fix some problems with Razbam's F-102A Delta Dagger.

1)Fuel guage-Corrected SystemName[021] to read FuselageFuelCell-gauge will now read the fuselage tank. Also changed tank amounts to more closely
reflect actual amount of fuel carried internally; most sources give this as 1,085 Gals or 7,335 Lbs.
2)HydraulicPressureGauge-Changed this to an OIL_PRESSURE_INDICATOR as there is no provision in-game for hydraulic pressure. Obviously not a true
reading, but better than a dead gauge.
3)Drop tanks-Changed these as all references were to 230 Gallon tanks; F-106 had 360's.
4)Fixed Fuel Low Left, Fuel Low Right lights, they now come on with 20Lbs fuel left.
5)Set emer fuel on light to come on at 600Lbs.
6)Changed missle names and added SpecificStationCodes to missles and aircraft to prevent mix-ups with stock or weapons pack missles as these are

larger and protrude thru the fuselage if used in the side bays. Also two AIM-26's with the correct StationCode. After all, if you can't
nuke it, fook it, no? Copy and paste the aim-4 lod.s and parts01 bmp.s from the weapons that came with the plane into their respective folders in

this mod. Install these into your weapons folder in the game. The AIM-26's have their lod.s; they are from McGunny's Ordnance Pack.
7)Fire control system-Changed this to Hughes MG-10; again F-106 was equipped with the MA-1. Adjusted Avionics ini. Search/Track Distance/Strength
entries to match those in the Data ini.
8)Changed the names of the Avionics, Cockpit, and Data ini.'s to be model specific to prevent mix-ups.
9)Added ReverseInput=TRUE and ReverseModelOrientation=TRUE to the rudder statement in the Data ini. to fix incorrect yaw.
After you've placed the aim-4 lod.s etc. in the missle folders just copy and paste the Objects folder either into your Razbam folder or into the
game after you've installed the aircraft.
Credits: Cliff11 for the rudder fix; you can blame me for the rest.
This has been tested in a July 2012 full merged install, it should work in earlier patches but it's untested.

    10. SF2 NAA FJ-3M Fury (Ver.2)

      SF2 NAA FJ-3M Fury (Ver.2)

      = For SF2, (Full 5 Merged RECCOMENDED!!) =

*Note: this aircraft will NOT work in SF/Wo* 1stGen Games are ANY patch level. This
aircraft was (re)designed and (re)built and (re)tested in SF2NA and Full5 Merged installs*

A brand new, replacement aircraft for the previous 1stGen conversions. Through the hard
work of several, people, being named here FIRST, instead of further down in the Credits
(well, they're listed there, too, of course!)
Zur (the Great and Powerful) for giving me the uncompleted MAX files, and RussoUK for
finishing and polishing the LOD for SF2 useage. You guys ROCK!!

This is the full, compiled package of Zur/Column5's FJ-3M Fury. Like the original SF2 pak,
it contains all the skin/decal sets I could find, combined into one big lump. This package
is designed to REPLACE, in total, any and ALL other previouse FJ-3M Furys.

Skins included in the pak are:

      VF-53 from ??
VF-62 from USS Essex, ATG-201 during the Beirut Crisis
VF-73 from USS Randolph, circa 1956/57
VF-84 from USS Forrestall, crica 1956/57
      VF-142 from USS Hornet, 1956
VF-211 from USS BonHomme Richard, circa 1956
VMF-312 (actually an FJ-3 in Natural Metal, circa 1955ish)
      VMF-333 from ???

Skins are a mixture of both bmp and JPG, and Decal randomization is also set to TRUE.
Damage textures are in DDS format (same as the Sabre). The aircraft is now bump mapped,
      for that nice metalic look.

A new FM, is based off Fubar's work on the KAW Sabres. It may need futher fine tuning to
completly Navalize it. The canopy, now functional, opens with the Standard Animation
Keystroke, Shift/0. AT this time, wingfold in NOT functional. The data ini statements
refelct this for carrier on-deck parking.
Other changes are the addition of the Userlist, a new avionics ini that adds the radar-
ranging gunsight. And a revamped SF2 version of my 'artwork' hangar screen.
The aircraft is fully carrier-capable, as per the July 2012 patch level. No weapons are
included; all stock items are called out. The new drop tanks are built into the aircraft's
LOD, ala SF2 3W birds. The weapons data IS included, of course.
Sounds are all reused from the KAW Sabres, as is the NEW cockpit (also from the KAW F-86F)

As always, READ the enclosed readme for full, detailed, easy-to-follow install
instructions. Of course, the usual 'Notes' section for the ravings of a madman!! <g>

    11. CAC Sabre Mk. 31 / 32

In 1951, CAC obtained a licence agreement to build the F-86. It was decided to power the aircraft using a licence-built version of the Rolls-Royce Avon R.A.7. This involved a re-design of the fuselage as the Avon was shorter, wider and lighter than the General Electric J47 that powered the North American-built aircraft. Because of the engine change the type is often referred to as the Avon Sabre. To accommodate the Avon, over 60% of the fuselage was redesigned along with a 25% increase in the size of the air intake. Another major revision was in replacing the F-86F's six machine guns with two 30mm Aden cannons, while other changes were also made to the cockpit and to provide an increased fuel capacity.

The RAAF operated the CA-27 from 1956 to 1971.

In 1958–60, CAC Sabres completed numerous ground attack sorties against communist insurgents in Malaya, during the Malayan Emergency, with No. 3 Squadron RAAF and No. 77 Squadron RAAF. Following the Emergency, they remained in Malaysia at RAAF Butterworth. From August 1964 onwards these aircraft responded several times to incursions by Indonesian MiG-21 fighters. However, the Indonesian aircraft always turned back before crossing the international boundary.

In 1962, a detachment of eight CA-27s, which was later expanded and designated No. 79 Squadron RAAF (79 Sqn), was sent from Butterworth to RAAF Ubon, Ubon, Thailand, to assist the Thai and Laotian governments in actions against communist insurgents. Australia and Thailand were allies of South Vietnam and the United States during the Vietnam War, and 79 Sqn performed air defence for United States Air Force attack and bomber aircraft based at Ubon. The squadron never engaged North Vietnamese aircraft or ground forces and was withdrawn in 1968.

Former RAAF CAC Sabres were operated by the Royal Malaysian Air Force (TUDM) between 1969 and 1972. Following the establishment of better relations with Indonesia, 23 CAC Sabres were donated to the Indonesian Air Force (TNI-AU) between 1973 and 1975; five of these were former Malaysian aircraft.

    12. Third Wire A-4E/H/F Ahit upgrade/ Enhancement for SF2

This is an upgrade and major enhancement for the stock Third Wire A-4E, H, & F Ahits (Skyhawks). The standard TW Ahits have a few issues with their historical accuracy. This mod corrects those issues and even adds a few more aircraft to the Ahit family.

Instillation: As usual simply drop into your mods folder and allow it to override when prompted. (This is important as there are changes to some of the aircraft.ini files etc)

Strike Fighters 2 Israel plus either Strike Fighters 2 or Strike Fighters 2 Vietnam are required.

      Changes include:

      - The A-4H Ahit was not delivered with a downgraded engine. It had the same J52-P8A engine as the F model Skyhawk. Israel latter upgraded the engines of the H and F Ahits to the P-408A as used in the A-4M and N Skyhawks.

      - The 30mm cannons fitted to the A-4H Ahit were fitted at a 2.5 degree downward angle due to the emphasis the IAF placed on strafing after the Six Day war. However in reality it was less than ideal as there was no change to the A-4 gun sight so aiming proved quite difficult until the introduction of the HUD in the Crystal upgrade.

      - A-4E Ahit was delivered with the avionics hump of the F model Skyhawk. The hump was installed in US Navy service in anticipation of receiving ECM equipment but these aircraft were delivered to Israel instead. Because it was empty the hump was initially removed in Israeli service.

      - The A-4E Ahit was also refitted with 30mm cannons. However due to the problems encountered with the angle of instillation in the H model Ahit they were installed at a 1.5 degree downward angle in the E models.

      - US Emergency Aid Skyhawks: During the Yom Kippur war A-4E as well as A-4F Skyhawks were sent to Israel as replacements for IAF A-4 losses during the war. These A-4E Skyhawks had the same standard of avionics as the F models.

      - Additional early textures added to the A-4H Ahits with the Star Of David on the rear fuselage and two digit aircraft numbers.

      - Additional texture added with the US 'Stars and Bars' and US Navy numbers which the A-4H wore during test flights in the USA.

      - Textures modified so there are no squadron colors on the rudder before 1976.

      - Textures modified so aircraft numbers are not on both the nose and vertical stabilizer at the same time before 1976. Before then the aircraft number was on either the nose or the vertical stabilizer- not both. Where it was largely depended on which squadron operated the aircraft.

      - The hump and corresponding avionics upgrade that appear on the A-4H Ahit (73) and A-4E Ahit (73) were known as the Crystal upgrade. This upgrade was designed to bring the Ahit fleet up to the standard of the A-4N Skyhawk/Ahit so this upgrade also included a basic heads up display with computerized weapons aiming. This upgrade would also be applied to the US Emergency Aid A-4E and F Ahits after end of the Yom Kippur war.

      - The triangular antenna behind the normal UHF/VHF antenna on the hump of the A-4H/E Ahits (73) as well as one of the nose antennas did not appear on the aircraft till the mid 80's

      - Loadouts: the stock Ahit loadouts are not unrealistic but they certainly aren't the most realistic. As such they have all been redone to include things such as the use of the Walleye in the anti-amour role by particular aircraft etc.

      - Opening canopy.

      - Landing light.

      - Cockpit armor changed to the same as the A-4F which the A-4H is meant to based on.

      - Yom Kippur and Lebanon War campaigns edited to include additional aircraft and weapons where appropriate.

The Ahits will now appear in the game as follows:

A-4E Ahit - Delivery of ex US Navy Skyhawks in 1971 fitted with an empty hump, no ECM and no chaff dispenser.

A-4E Ahit (72) - The empty hump is removed in Israeli service, the aircraft are also re-fitted with 30mm cannons at a 1.5 degree downward angle.

A-4E Ahit (73) US Emergency Aid - US Navy A-4E Skyhawks with avionics hump and standard USN avionics rushed to Israel during the Yom Kippur War to replace Ahit losses.

A-4E Ahit (73) Crystal Upgrade - A-4E Ahits upgraded under project Crystal with ECM, RHAW, countermeasure dispensers, updated weapons delivery system, updated navigation system and a HUD. An extended tailpipe is also fitted.

A-4F Ahit US Emergency Aid - US Navy A-4F Skyhawks with standard USN avionics rushed to Israel during the Yom Kippur War to replace Ahit losses.

A-4F Ahit (74) Crystal Upgrade - US Emergency Aid A-4F Ahits are upgraded to the same standard as the project Crystal A-4H Ahits with a HUD, updated weapons delivery system, updated navigation system, 30mm cannons, extended tailpipe and P-408A engine.

A-4H Ahit - Specific model Skyhawk for Israel based on the A-4F with deliveries starting in 1968. The A-4H had a downgraded weapons and avionics capability.

      A-4H Ahit (70) - Aircraft are re-fitted with 30mm cannons at a 2.5 degree downward angle.

A-4H Ahit (72) - Israel begins replacing the J52-P8A engine with the more powerful J52-P-408A and restoring/ expanding the aircrafts weapon capabilities.

A-4H Ahit (73) Crystal Upgrade - A-4H Ahits are upgrade under project Crystal with ECM, RHAW, countermeasure dispensers, updated weapons delivery system, updated navigation system and a HUD. An extended tailpipe is also fitted.

A-4H Ahit (84) Crystal Upgrade - Additional external antenna on the avionics hump and nose of the aircraft are installed.

I have included modified Yom Kippur and Lebanon War campaigns edited to include the A-4N as it was very active in both wars. You will need to have installed my Third Wire A-4E/H/F Ahit upgrade/ Enhancement for SF2 1.0 for the modified campaigns to work correctly.

      Gameplay notes:
      - Cockpits are stand-ins however all the HUD displays, radar displays, RWR displays are correct.

      - To give the A-4N Ahit Pave Penny/ LGB the ability to use Laser Guided Bombs in the CAS role I created a ghost LP weapon station that can be loaded with a 'Shaldag FAC Laser Designation Team' which is the real life IAF special forces team that designated targets for the A-4N. If you don’t like the way it works just delete it from the weapons folder and stick to dumb bombs for everything except strike missions.

    15. F-5E Tigre Brazilian Air Force

F-5E Tigre Brazilian Air Force (v.2.0)

required F-5E Early Versions Pack 1.0 (cockipt and decals) to keep the original files and credits.

I had problem with afterburner, so this using the stock files.

      F-5 Tigre Brazilian Air Force

      The Tiger in Brazil

In Brazil, the history of the F-5 started in practice in March 1975, however, he was quoted to equip the FAB since 1965, in its version F-5A / B. In 1967, he was again contemplated, this time as a design vector SISDACTA. The preference was for the F-4 Phantom, but this was vetoed by the Americans, who in turn offered the F-5C (version proposed by Northrop with improvements based on the evaluation report made in Vietnam).
The impasse U.S. favored the French, having acquired the FAB 16 Dassault Mirage III. A new international contest held in 1971 to replace the AT-33A, attended the Fiat G-91, MB-326K, Harrier Mk-50, Jaguar GR1 and A-4F, won by Northrop fighter now in his version F-5E. Began a long and successful history of the Tiger II in FAB, which still continues today and is expected to last until 2018. The FAB received six F-5B (FAB 4800-4805), 4 F-5F (FAB 4806-4809) and 58 F-5E (FAB 4820-4877) that were acquired in two separate batches. The first batch in 1973, factory direct (06 F + 36 F-5B-5D), the value of $ 115 million and the second batch in 1988, former USAF (04 F-22 F-5F and 5E), the total cost of $ 13.1 million. The first aircraft of "Operation Tiger", became known as the transfer of the first batch were delivered from February 28, 1975 in Palmdale. Were three F-5B, which arrived in Brazil on 06 March of the same year, followed by another three F-5B on 13 May. On June 12, 1975, came the first 4 F-5E to BAGL, starting an airlift that ended on February 12 of the following year, totaling 36 aircraft.
In 1985, after much searching, we reached an agreement with the Reagan administration, which agreed to negotiate 4 F-5F and 22 F-5E, which would come from the ranks of the USAF, at a cost of $ 13.1 million, a trifle. Around September 2006, it was speculated acquisition of 9 aircraft F-5E Tiger II, used in Saudi Arabia, 6 F-5E and F-5F 3. This purchase, however, went no further, come to the Brazilian Air Force to acquire a lot of aircraft of the Royal Jordanian Air Force. In total 11 aircraft were purchased, and 8 single-seat F-5E and F-5F 3 seaters. The first aircraft coming from Jordan arrived in Brazil on August 19, 2008 and were sent to the Air Force Material Park of São Paulo (PAMA-SP). All the F-5 ex-Jordan should be converted to the standard F-and F-5FM 5EM.

I just make a copy the mod folder, try the mod, if I like it, I delete the backup. If I don't, I delete the new/updated mod folder and rename the old backup/copy back to the original names to reset to my original setup.
      * To install, simply unzip and copy the contents of the "To_Mod_Folder" folder (the uncompressed "Effects and Objects" folders only) to your StrikeFighter2 mod folder and Overwrite.
My StrikeFighter2 mod on Win97 64-bit was..(yours may be different)...
      C:\Users\<your_id>\Saved Games\Thirdwire\StrikeFighter2 Europe\
Note: You should be able to install this mod into any SF2 series, it doesn't have to be StrikeFighter2 Europe.
      * To remove, simply delete the active "Effects and Objects" folders and replace with the back up copies you made prior to the install.

      -------------------------------------------------------------
Lastly, Read the "Add F111 SoundList.txt" readme file on updating your your "Flight\SoundList.ini" file with the custiom F-111 sound files included in this pack.

    18. SF2 IDF C-47 Skytrain Pak

      SF2 IDFAF C-47 Skytrain Pak 6/10/2016

      = For SF2:I (Full 5 Merged RECCOMENDED ) =

**You =MUST= have SF2I Expansion Pack 1 to have access to the stock 3W C-47!!!.**

Some small modifications, reskining/decaling of the stock 3rd Wire C-47 Skytrain/Dakota
transport aircrft, as used by the Israeli Defense Force. Be advised, THIS mod is designed
for use -ONLY- in your SF2:I mod's folder.

The package contains 2 skins for No. 103 "Flying Elephants" squadron Skytrains:

      Brown/Blue camo (mid 1950s thru 1969)
      Late 3 Tone Camo (1969-2001)

Skins are in original bmp format. The SF2 "date switch" is used, and the game will
automatically switch over to the late 3-tone in 1969. The Brown/Blue will start in 1955,
although research is not conslusive as to exactly when. For years predating that, they
seem be in an OD/Grey type of paint job (not the NM finish the Game Engine ™ uses).

All markings are decals, and decal randomization is TRUE. Serial & Modex numbers are 100%
historically correct. Both skins use the same 'pool' of number decals. There are no Hangar
or Loading screens, but all sounds and pilot figures are provided. Also included are the
cockpit (for those that haven't made it flyable yet) updated/revamped data, avionics, and
userlist inis. I've also given you my (patent-pending) "One Click Restore" main ini.

As always, unzip this to a temp folder or your desktop, and you'll have access to the rest
of the readme for the install instructions.

      Happy Landings!

    20. SF2 Boeing C-97 Cargo & HC-97 ARS Pak

      SF2 Boeing C-97 Cargo & HC-97 ARS Pak 10/16/2015

      = For SF2 (Full 4 Merged or Full 5 RECCOMENDED) =

This package contains 2 complete aircraft and skin/decal sets for cargo-carrying C-97s (of all marks, as their differences are negligible), and a version used by Air Rescue Service (later ARRS)
      Included are:

C-97G (can be used for any cargo variant -A,B,C,D,E,F,G)

      MATS (generic)
MAC (115th ATS (H), 146th ATW, Caifornia ANG)

      HC-97G:

303rd Aerospace Rescue & Recovery Squadron

The SF2 date switch is used on the skins for the C-97, switching from MATS to MAC in 1961.
Serial numbers, while generic in nature, ARE for the model depicted (KC-97G). 18 serial decals are included. Decal randomization is true. All markings are decals (excepting the HC-97's wing tips).
Damage texture is in DDS. A template is included in a seperate folder, but was only partly redone for those areas I need to repaint. Skinners are encouraged to improve and expand on it. In the C-97's decals folder, you'll also find the psd to create the "nose lozenge" that carried the last 4 digits of the serial number. This style is/was used on a great number of other MATS/MAC aircraft.
Crew entry door is operated by the Standard Animation Keystroke , Shift/0 (zero). The rear cargo door & Loading ramps are operated by the standard bomb bay keystroke (Control/o (oh).

As always, fairly easy to follow, detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them ....

    22. Third Wire F-8 Crusader Upgrade & Enhancement

This has been a labor of love for my all-time favorite fighter aircraft. The service period of this aircraft fits perfectly with the time period that the Strike Fighters 2 game engine gives its best: Gun armed jet fighters with short range missiles and early/ limited avionics.

      Changes:
      -    The ‘SF2V Air & Ground War Expansion v.2.0 Gold’ and ‘F-8 DATA & LOADOUT v1.0 update’ here at CA were used as a starting point for this project.
      -    Maximum G has been changed to 6.3 which is the airframe structural limit in all NATOPS publications.
      -    There are automatically operating ‘fake’ leading edge droops (slats) that simulates the pilot being able to lower them a few degrees with a button on the throttle for cruising flight and manoeuvring flight (aka dog fighting). By ‘fake’ I mean they are not player operated in SF2 or linked to the 3D model but the aerodynamic effect is realistically simulated. You will notice the droop indicator in the cockpit will change with them however. If they were manually controlled in the game the AI would not use them correctly.
      -    Single AIM-9 missiles and rails can be loaded instead of the Y-racks on all F-8 variants. This is done at the loadout screen (and by the loadout.ini file) it is set up so you cannot load single missiles/ rails and double missiles/ Y-racks at the same time.
      -    Cannons harmonized as per NATOPS manual and gun accuracy adjusted to real world levels.
      -    Adjustment to most decal positions and inclusion of Squadron codes on the wings.
      -    Additional details added to most stock skins.
      -    Additional squadron specific higher resolution skins with more accurate markings for that particular squadron.
      -    Included for F-8J (69) is a proposed SEA camo overpaint for the VF-211 aircraft on detachment at Udorn in early 1972 to school USAF pilots in Dogfighting. The repaint was initially agreed to but it would have added 1200lbs so it was abandoned. If you wish to use it and fly DACT against USAF Phantoms you can load the extra 1200lb at the load out screen via a unique station specific hard point.
      -    Overhaul of each data.ini and avionics.ini to bring them in line with the information in the F-8 NATOPS manuals, NATOPS supplements and F-8 Tactics manual.
      -    More detailed pilots and ejection seats.
      -    Fully compatible with ‘SF2V Air & Ground War Expansion v.2.0 Gold’ or Third Wire SF2V campaigns.
      -    Additional year specific aircraft to better reflect physical and avionic changes. As well as correcting a few mistakes and omissions by Third Wire.
      -    Below is the updated list of F-8 Crusader variants with the original Third Wire description where appropriate and the specific major changes made in addition to the general ones listed above:

      F-8C
The F-8C (F8U-2) entered service in 1959. F-8C is powered by J57-P-16 afterburning turbojet and can reach speed of Mach 1.6.
      -    Missing radar symbology added and radar performance/ parameters corrected. The radar cursor for selecting a target is a long horizontal line that moves up from the bottom of the scope and is only adjustable in range and not azimuth to select a specific radar contact.
      F-8C (66)
In 1966, F-8C received ALQ-51 ECM and chaff dispensers under project "SHOEHORN", after A-4 and F-4 were upgraded. The cannon ammo capacity is reduced slightly to make room for the ECM black box.
      -    Uses the TW F-8D model modified into a F-8C in order for it to have the Y-rack Fuselage weapon rails.
      F-8D
The F-8D (F8U-2N) was the all-weather interceptor version, entering service in 1960. It is equipped with AN/APQ-83 radar and more powerful J57-P-20 engine.
      -    Missing radar symbology added including steering circle, aiming dot, break X and missile max range.
      F-8D (66)
F-8D also received ALQ-51 ECM and chaff dispensers under project "SHOEHORN" in 1966. The cannon ammo capacity is reduced slightly to make room for the ECM black box.
      F-8E
The F-8E (F8U-2NE), entering service in 1962, was the final production version of the Crusader. It is equipped with better AN/APQ-94 radar, and two underwing pylons for air-to-ground ordnance.
      -    Radar frame lock, range and shoot cue lights all completely changed and now function correctly. See screenshot for more information.
      -    Missing radar symbology added including range rate circle, which also doubles as the steering circle, aiming dot, break X and missile max range.
      -    Missile firing order and cockpit weapon station section dial corrected.
      F-8E (66)
F-8E also received ALQ-51 ECM and chaff dispensers under project "SHOEHORN" in 1966. The cannon ammo capacity is reduced slightly to make room for the ECM black box.
      -    Significant use of the AIM-9C as after a lot of research it turns out they were commonly carried over Vietnam in this period, notably by VF-211.
      F-8E(FN)
The F-8E(FN) is the French Aeronautique Navale version of the F-8 armed with Matra R.530 missiles. Nicknamed "Le Crouze" by the French crew, it operated off Clemenceau-class carriers from 1964 to 1994 until they were upgraded to F-8P standard. F-8E(FN) introduced many of the features, such as double-hinged leading edge flaps and drooping ailerons, that were later incorporated into remanufactured F-8J for the US Navy.
      -    Equipped with the nose mounted IRST system like the USN F-8D and E.
      -    This is the TW F-8J model modified into a F-8E(FN) so the DLC is NOT required.
      -    Radar frame lock, range and shoot cue lights all completely changed and now function correctly. See screenshot for more information.
      -    Location of Matra R.530 missile rails corrected.
      F-8E(FN) (70)
      -    The nose mounted IRST system is removed from all French aircraft.
      F-8P(FN)
      -    17 F-8E(FN) are upgraded to extend their service life, included is the Sherloc RWR system.
      -    This is the TW F-8J model modified into a F-8P(FN) so the DLC is NOT required.
      F-8P(FN) (94)
      -    F-8P(FN) are fitted with a GPS navigation system and antenna.
      F-8H
Starting in 1967, F-8Ds were remanufactured as F-8H, with improved AN/APQ-149 radar, ALQ-51 ECM, and the same underwing pylons as F-8E.
      -    Retains the AN/APQ-83 radar from the F-8D but uses the physically larger and higher resolution cockpit radar display from the F-8E.
      -    Missing radar symbology added including steering circle, aiming dot, break X and missile max range.
      -    Radar frame lock, range and shoot cue lights all completely changed and now function correctly. See attached for more information.
      -    Missile firing order and cockpit weapon station section dial corrected.
      F-8H (69)
F-8H is re-engined in 1969 with more powerful J57-P-420 engine. It also has improved ALQ-100 ECM in a larger pod, and full cannon ammo capacity restored.
      -    Improved AN/APQ-149 radar fitted in place of the AN/APQ-83.
      -    Additional missing radar symbology added including separate larger range rate circle and separate smaller steering circle.
      -    A lot of fleet F-8H around this period have had their Nose IRST system (temporarily?) removed.
      -    Retains the ALQ-51 ECM.
      F-8H (74)
      -    After the Vietnam war F-8H has the improved ALQ-100 ECM in a larger pod installed, and full cannon ammo capacity restored.
      F-8J
F-8J is a remanufactured F-8E with improved AN/APQ-149 radar, ALQ-51 ECM, and other improvements such as double-hinged leading edge flaps and drooping ailerons. However, its performance has suffered significantly due to increases in its weight.
      -    Improved AN/APQ-124 radar installed.
      -    Radar frame lock, range and shoot cue lights all completely changed and now function correctly. See screenshot for more information.
      -    Missing radar symbology added including separate larger range rate circle, separate smaller steering circle, aiming dot, break X and missile max range.
      -    Missile firing order and cockpit weapon station section dial corrected.
      F-8J (69)
To restore lost performance due to increased weight, F-8J is re-engined in 1969 with more powerful J57-P-420 engine. It also has improved ALQ-100 ECM in a larger pod, and full cannon ammo capacity restored.
      F-8J (75)
      -    In 1975 the remaining fleet F-8J (along with the RF-8G) receive the ALQ-126 ECM and ALR-45/50 RHAW RWR. The nose mounted IRST system is permanently removed.
      F-8J (75) [w RWR]
      -    Identical to F-8J (75) above except:
      -    The cockpit radar display functions as a Vector RWR and not a radar. This is because in real life the pilot could change the radar scope from displaying radar images or displaying the RWR images. The F-8J did not have a separate RWR display. There was a setting in which it would be displaying radar images but if a missile launch was detected the threat bearing line would be displayed flashing over top of the radar images. Not possible in SF2 unfortunately.

      To install:
1, Unpack and drop into your main mods folder.
      2, Override when prompted.
