4 pointsI've finished all the USAF squadrons skins except for 461st FLTS as a purely test unit. I used the serial number database to recreate all the serial numbers used by each unit (available here: http://www.f-16.net/aircraft-database/F-35/serials-and-inventory/). 4th FS, 388th FW, Hill AFB, UT 31st TES, 53d TEG, Eglin AFB, FL 34th FS, 388th FW, Hill AFB, UT 58th FS, 33d OG, Eglin AFB, FL 61st FS, 56th OG, Luke AFB, AZ 62d FS, 56th OG, Luke AFB, AZ 63d FS, 56th OG, Luke AFB, AZ 422d TES, 53d TEG, Eglin AFB, FL I've also fixed some details. I only need to do some .ini tweaking including loadouts and the pack will be ready for release.

3 pointsI uploaded a new version of the Panzer IV. It now has a Tan/Sand texture as well. It got a fourth distance lod, plus I renamed it from Panzer4 to Panzer4H. Yesterday and today I worked on a Flak 18 88mm. Made from scratch, fortunately there are several detailed drawings available for this gun. It is not ready for release yet.

3 pointsGrumman Tiger FGA.1 - No.1 Squadron, Royal Air Force, 1966 Despite the infamous 1957 White Paper (which dictated that the RAF would not need any manned combat aircraft whose role could be covered by missiles) by early 1960 the RAF had two main aircraft projects under development; OR339 for an advanced tactical strike and reconnaissance aircraft and OR356 for a common replacement for the RAF's Hawker Hunter fighter-bombers and the Royal Navy's Sea Vixen carrier-based fighters. Ideally, both projects required some consolidation of the UK aircraft industry with government organised mergers and soon English Electric, Vickers-Armstrong, Bristol and Hunting Aviation merged together to form the British Aircraft Corporation in 1960 to develop the TSR.2 to OR339. Hawker Siddeley Aviation had already acquired Folland Aircraft in 1959 and followed this by acquiring de Havilland Aircraft Company and Blackburn Aircraft in 1960. In 1961, they submitted their advanced P.1150 VTOL strike fighter to NATO Basic Military Requirement 3 (NBMR-3) calling for a supersonic V/STOL strike fighter with a combat radius of 460 kms and a dash speed of Mach 1.5 with a 910kg payload. However, changes made to the NBMR-3 requirement led to the P.1150 being considered to be undersized and therefore unsatisfactory leading to a redesign. A new and larger aircraft design, re-designated as the P.1154, soon emerged and was submitted by Hawker Siddeley Aviation to the Ministry of Aviation for both NATO NBMR-3 and to the UK's OR356. In May 1962, the P.1154 emerged as the 'technical winner' in the NBMR-3 competition but this did not lead to orders being placed as the French government withdrew from participation once the Dassault Mirage IIIV design had lost. NATO's NBMR-3 selection went unheeded by it's member nations and the whole project was terminated. The loss of a potentially large NATO order immediately destabilized the P.1154 project and played right into the hands of the reluctant Admiralty who decided to buy the American F-4 Phantom aircraft as their Sea Vixen replacement, thus throwing the entire cost of development and production onto the RAF. In a statement to the House of Commons the Prime Minister explained, " I have to tell the House that this is not a practicable proposition. The problem here is that on these present estimated requirements, and on the latest realistic estimate of the remaining life of the Hunter aircraft, the P.1154 will not be in service in time to serve as a Hunter replacement.” The axe finally fell on the P.1154 on September 3rd, 1962. Meanwhile, having failed to secure any US Navy contracts for their F11F-1F 'Super Tiger', Grumman had aggressively marketed the Super Tiger to foreign customers eventually gaining important export orders to Japan and Canada that had kept the Bethpage production line open. Having previously offered the West German Government a version of the F-11F-1F powered by the Rolls-Royce Avon 301R, rated at 12,500 lbs dry thrust and 16,360 lbs thrust with reheat, Grumman quickly dusted off the design and offered it to the UK Government as a Hawker Hunter replacement. With the RAF so focused on holding on to TSR.2 at all costs they were keen to adopt this off the shelf proposal that was far cheaper than any paper project so the Ministry of Aviation quickly created OR366 to cover the adoption of the Super Tiger. A production order for 200 Tiger FGA.1's was placed with Grumman on January 1963 with the first examples entering service in April 1964 with No.1 Squadron based at RAF Wittering. 1 pointOn this date, 27 July 1972, the McDonnell Douglas F-15A Eagle (Serial Number 71-0280) took to the air for the first time over the desert at Edwards AFB, California. (As a side note: today is also my wedding anniversary) 46 years later, with thousands of sorties flown, only 4 have been lost to enemy action and it's air to air combat record is over 100 to ZERO, the best of ANY combat aircraft in history!

1 pointThe Pfalz artwork is nearly done. Shots taken at high noon in Gterl's excellent rework of Gepard's Vosges map. While intended for FE2, Crawford says the environmental tweaks look equally good in FE1, so the ENVIRONMENT file used in shots below is attached. Thanks to VonS, Quack74, Panama Red, and Coupi for the file tweaks. 7-26-18 ENVIRONMENTSYSTEM.rar

1 pointThere were several types of Sopwich "Schneider / Tabloid". Usually they can be designated as SS.1, SS.2 and SS.3 (SS - Sopwith Scout), designated by the British. Type SS.1 was the direct development of the two-seater Sopwith Type St.B and the racing "Schneider". They had a protruding upper wing and no ailerons. Control of the wing with the steering wheel. Approximately the same were the first military Schneiders on floats ordered by the British fleet, and this type of control (wing warping, or gauchissement) was specifically stipulated in the contract. But by this time there already existed a more advanced airplane Type SS.3, equipped with ailerons and, apparently, the control stick. The upper wing was almost not protruding forward. They were also ordered by seamen in small quantities, one or two were armed. The prototype for the "Lebed" was the SS type, but in Russia, it seems, also got one SS.3. What is characteristic, later, the British upgraded all the remaining aircraft without ailerons to normal controls. By the way, I was prompted, that such "swans" was produced only three copies. V.A. Lebedev suggested to the Ministry of War acquire three "scouts": "I propose to purchase three "Lebed-7" apparatuses of the "Sopvit" type. These apparatuses are distinguished by their compactness, convenient transportation and high speed up to 150 km per hour, so that they can be of great use wherever a quick reconnaissance production is required. The price is 11200 roubles with a "Gnome-80" engine . Without a motor -7200. One we can deliver with a motor, two - without an engine. " But, in spite of the high estimation of the test pilot, these planes did not interest the "chief of Russian aviation" Grand Duke Alexander Mikhailovich.

1 pointView File SF2 VF-51 F-4B & F-4N Phantom (Mytai) Skin/Decal Pak SF2 VF-51 F-4B & F-4N Phantom (Mytai) Skin/Decal Pak 7/14/2018 = For SF2 (Any & All, Full-5 Merged Prefered) and/or SF2:V + DLC 23 = *Can be used in any install that has access to the F-4B_67 which is stock in all merged installs. You =MUST= also have DLC #23, the 3rd Wire F-4N Phantom. This package contains 3 revamped & updated skins, now for SF2, originally created by Mytai01 in 2005(ish) for SF1. These skin represent VF-51 "Screaming Eagles" deployed to Southeast Asia during Vietnam War cruises. This skins are: F-4B_67: VF-51 (1971) embarked aboard USS CORAL SEA (NL code) VF-51 (1973) -same as above F-4N (DLC #23): VF-51 (1974) -same as above The differences are various paint schemes, and include both CAG and line birds. All 3 skins are new builds, from Sundowner's template. The skins are in jpg format. All decals from the original Mytai pack have been reused. The dates listed are for the deployment years. The SF2 "date switch" is =NOT= used on these skins. When on the load out screen, on the skin selection widow, you'll see: F-4B_67: VF-51 Screaming Eagles 71 (Mytai) VF-51 Screaming Eagles 73 (Mytai) F-4N: VF-51 Screaming Eagles 74 (Mytai) As VF-51 is a stock, listed squadron, this will help diferentiate these from 'generic' 3W skins. It also honors Mytai for his work in creating them so long ago. Decal randomization has been set to "TRUE". Included are "newish" data inis for both aircraft. The data inis now incorporate manually operating (meaning: you, the player can now) wingfold and canopy operation. Both use the Standard Animations Keystrokes (tm), Shift/9 for wings and Shift/0 (zero) for the canopy. Also included, within each skin folder, are all of Mytai's original research material that came with the 1stGen Package. This inlcudes photos and other text files. As always, fairly easy to follow, detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them .... Remember!! You must have DLC #23 to gain access to the F-4N!! Happy Landings!
