I have uploaded version 1.3 some minutes ago. An Admin must still give the okay. Big static airliners i have not yet included in the terrain. This will come later. Airliners should appear on random parking slots, if you have airliners in the aircraft list. As goodies i have included a new menu screen, new menu music, and if you own DLC 28 and SF2I, then can you fly my versions of MirageIIIEA and MirageIIIEBR.

I have the model of the Boeing 707 (credit to the creator of the model and thanks to CA), with the help that daddyairplanes always gives me, he made some modifications to the paint and I was in charge of placing the decals. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Boeing 707 models 707-387B Argentine Air Force In 1971 they formed part of Air Transport Group 1 (G1TA) belonging to the II Air Transport Squadron (I Air Brigade, El Palomar, Bs.As) such as TC-91, TC-92, TC-93, TC-94 until December of the year 1981. During the South Atlantic Conflict, the Air Transport Command was reactivated. Since 1982, they were part of Group 1 of Air Transport (G1TA) belonging to the V Air Transport Squadron (I Air Brigade, El Palomar, Bs.As) until his retirement In the year 1983 TC-95 and TC-96 are incorporated, both were models 707-387B already counting 6 Boeing models 707-387B. Today (26/4/23) is israel's independence day, so ive decided to release this skin/ modified aircraft: This mod represents the T-6 Texan II in Israeli service. I've modified Dels's T-6 to have aerobatic smoke just like the IAF aerobatics team has. To activate it you simply need to push your throttle to max. To add this mod simply drop the files in the corresponding file locations (Sounds in Sounds, Aircraft in Aircraft, etc). Credits: Dels: Original mod + templates

Here's my shot at ECM for the Block 52 Viper by the Viper Team. I modeled it after the ALQ-131 Block III pod, so it works, just not that great against an SA-10 radar apparently. Anyway won't be a thing but you can definitely re-engineer it based off of my work for at least a functioning jammer. F-16C_B52_Data.7z

Mue's LOD viewer can give the min and max co-ordinates in the bounding box column for any node in a LOD: EDIT: Also, this is a handy script if you are working in 3DS Max:

external pods, iirc, -- hopefully someone else will chime in too -- got borked years ago. Best the just have them for eye candy, and build in the ECM suites to the aircraft's internal systems

I tried on both pages, the one you have shown and the one that is exclusive to WOFF. The download button looked exactly like the one you posted, then I clicked the grey dropdown and it directed me to the download page which I think is on the WOFF site.

Did a quick test and found out that DECEPTIVE_JAMMER and NOISE_JAMMER is your uber jam anything modes for your internal ECM. DUAL_MODE is fairly realistic as it models burn through, where the other two modes work at any range. The catch is that you must be far away from the radar to jam it. Otherwise, once it goes off you can't jam it, i.e. turning off and on doesn't work, it's just how the game works. So if you want realism go with DUAL_MODE, and if you want uber ECM go with the other two. I don't know how the logic did it since early ECM didn't work that well (from what I understand), so a USN A-7 can jam radars very good in the game. I don't know or care about the real-world performance (and if I somehow knew, I wouldn't tell you anyway) of the ECM jammers since the podded ECM doesn't do shit for you. But that's just a quick look at the ECM functionality in the game. Hopefully (as we've already beaten a dead horse) it can be fixed in the future, but that's what I'm seeing. And as for the Growler, it seems like there is no internal jammer for it, just the ALQ-99 pods that serve as the jammer system. Well for now unless a miracle happens I won't be removing the jammer from the plane until the pod situation can be sorted out. Also retextured the ALQ-99 pods:

And someone said you can't have too many adversary aircraft....
  16. 1 point
Well did some tests and found out that podded ECM jammers don't seem to work, or maybe the pods were too low powered. I did the test by removing the internal jammer on the Growler and found out with pods that the pods didn't seem to work. Is that a known issue or bug? If so then it's one of the other innumerable fixes that needs to be done, sometime. Who knows if it's on TK's radar or not (more than likely not). But otherwise I put it back in and it worked fine. Found out the setting to allow the Growler to jam radars more effectively. I'll post an update here for the Growlers. I think this is the best fit setting to work with the EA-6B Superpack, so there is jammer capability when assigning it as an Escort Jammer role, and for SEAD: ReferenceName=AN/ALQ-214v5 SystemType=ECM_JAMMER JammerType=NOISE_JAMMER JammerStrength=118.8 MinFreq=2.0 MaxFreq=20.0 CanJamCW=TRUE MinExtentPosition=-0.404,-2.859,0.608 MaxExtentPosition=0.404,-0.824,1.018

In going through the EA-6B Superpack I noted some progression in the power of the ALQ-99s that they modeled. So I added more power to the ALQ-99s that the Growlers use, and also the podded ones too (Low and High-band): Against Farid's SA-10 burn-through is about 15 miles or so. That's a bit better and probably realistic (I don't know how effective the real-world one is of course, just taking the hint that they upgraded the pods over the years, and I'm sure it's pretty good so far). Replace the jammers and overwrite and you'll be good to go. It will be in the next update, but that won't be for some time. ALQ99.7z

All planes you will find on the airfields of this terrain are placed on the parking slots, which the game engine use randomly. If you have airliners in your airplane list, so it can happen that they appear. For placing airliners as static, permanently objects on the map i would need special "static aircraft" LOD. AFAIK there are no such objects available for Boeings or Airbus. Maybe i'm wrong, but i dont know such object.

View File Cold East Ground Objects Bonanza Vol.2 The second part of Cold East Ground Objects Bonanza mods for the SF2 series game. First of all. This is not entirely a 'Plug and Play' mod. Yes, some objects will appear in the game right away, but some will not - because some objects are meant to be used via the target editor. In general, the whole mod is built for terrain enhancement - a lot of objects should be added in terrain TYPES and TARGETS. But of course, some like tanks, SAMs, AAA, etc will appear automatically in the game. Having this in mind this mod is mostly for terrain builders, modders,, and experienced users. If you are hoping for quick-click plug-and-play - this is not for you. All objects have destroyed models added. Gun files should be taken carefully - they are slightly modified by guuruu with decreased performance. I believe all the gun files are provided and you should have them already, if I forgot something - well it happens sometimes. Sorry for that. Part two contains mostly air-to-air defenses. SA-2, SA-3, SA-9, SA-8B, SA-13, SA-7. Again those SAMs are not really plug-and-play mods. I have made them in groups (SA-2A, SA-2B, SA-3, etc...) each group contains EWR, SAM_RADAR, and SAM_LAUNCHER. It is up to the player to pick and choose the desired system for a specific mod, terrain, etc. all except SA-2 use new weapon models. SA-2 uses an older model that was available for years already. (for now, I have no patience to finish my models) All objects have destroyed models added. Gun files should be taken carefully - they are slightly modified by guuruu with decreased performance. All of the skins are green, I added a few camo versions and a few extra but just for specific objects. NO Tan/Desret scheme. This might come in a more specific mod for specific terrains in the future. Userlist ini files are just there but they might need editing for your own use. If you have similar models from me - released years ago - do not mix them up. I recommend deleting all old files. Here you will find new updated models. Under any circumstances DO NOT mix these objects with ODS 30Aniversary Edition mod. ODS30AE objects are exclusive for ODS and differ in many ways from Cold East Ground Objects Bonanza. SF2 Grumman C-2A(R) Greyhound Pack by Coyote Aerospace 4/19/2023 -For SF2 =ONLY= (Full 5 Merged Required*) This pack is the release of the C-2A Greyhound cargo/carrier-on-board delivery (COD) aircraft used by the US Navy. This mod represent the "C-2A(R) or "Reprocured" airframes as used from 1984 onwards. These are the 8-bladed prop versions. *This mod makes use of the stock 3W E-2C Hawkeye's destroyed model. SF2:NA is required to gain access to that lod. If you don't have NA, you may have to edit the data ini to use another destroyed model.* The aircraft is finished in standard USN Gull Grey/White. Serial number (BuNums) are 100% historly correct for this model, but should be considered generic in nature. 16 BuNums are provided, and Decal Randomization is TRUE. The templates for the skin are also supplied for other texture artists to use, and improve upon. Skins supplied in this package are: VRC-30 - original - 2009 scheme - 2015 scheme (various Dets) VRC-40 - 1999 scheme - 2015 scheme - 2018 scheme There are also some 'cargo pallets' as weapons, for loading in the cargo bay. (thanks to Cliff7600) As is always recommended, unzip to a temp folder or your desktop to give easy access to the rest of this readme for it's install instructions. PLEASE read them, before installing!!! I'd also like to take this time to thank Cliff7600 for volunteering to fix some (most) of the issues I couldn't. He also supplies some very nice new skins!! *** Be advised, this model is being released in "As-Is" condition. As the model builder has retired, any issues not fixable via ini edits will remain as we have no access to the 3d MAX files *** Wrench Kevin Stein =edited for release 3/20/2023==

yeah, I was gonna say the tail serial number presentation is wrong. It should look like mine. All post-war ANG units, even into the jet age (see my ANG Sabres and T-Jets) carried teh "ANG" notation. makes me wonder about the authenticity of the checks ... what needed are actual period photos

Hello All, It is great to see new members contributing to this awesome community. I wish I have the time to work on projects and even play the SF2! This thread is to thank our long time community member, modeler, and a great friend 'Logan4' I have to look up the original modeler for this beautiful F-5E (on the other computer), so far the most accurate (test photos). I did some modifications and worked on the templates. Logan made all the necessary accessories (fake pilot) for the various air forces/navy/marine/private contractor. His F-5E fuel tank is being contributed for the IIRAN Mirage F1... Thanks to Dave, Fates, Erik, MK2 and all the people involved for keeping this webpage alive and available all these years... and many more years to come! Thank you.
