2 pointsYesterday i flew some missions over Kurile islands. And i thought: some smoking volcanos would be nice. In reality some mountains there are volcanos. So why not! I would need a big smoke effect, connected with a little object, which i can place on the top of a volcano. Has someone such an effect, or know where to find one?

The first part of Cold East Ground Objects Bonanza mods for the SF2 series game. First of all. This is not entirely a 'Plug and Play' mod. Yes, some objects will appear in the game right away, but some will not - because some objects are meant to be used via the target editor. In general, the whole mod is built for terrain enhancement - a lot of objects should be added in terrain TYPES and TARGETS. But of course, some like tanks, SAMs, AAA, etc will appear automatically in the game. Having this in mind this mod is mostly for terrain builders, modders, and experienced users. If you are hoping for quick-click plug-and-play - this is not for you. All objects have destroyed models added. Gun files should be taken carefully - they are slightly modified by guuruu with decreased performance. I believe all the gun files are provided and you should have them already, if I forgot something - well it happens sometimes. Sorry for that. 5 new weapons for some of the objects. 9M14M, 9M14P, 9M111, 9M113, 9M114 Part one contains mostly tanks, APCs, IFVs, SPAAG, and some support armored objects. All of the skins are green, I added a few camo versions and a few extra but just for specific objects. NO Tan/Desret scheme. This might come in a more specific mod for specific terrains in the future. Userlist ini files are just there but they might need editing for your own use. Under any circumstances DO NOT mix these objects with ODS 30Aniversary Edition mod. ODS30AE objects are exclusive for ODS and differ in many ways from Cold East Ground Objects Bonanza. Inside 2S1 Gvozdika - one set for Transport role only and two as artillery - to be placed via targets.ini BMP-1 BMP-1P + 9K113 Konkurs (9M113 Gaboy missile) BMP-2 + 9K113 Konkurs (9M113 Gaboy missile) BRDM-2 BTR-50PK BTR-60PB BTR-60R-145BM radio and command vehicle 9K14M Malyutka-M 9P122 on BRDM-2 chassis (9M14M missile) 9K14P Malyutka-P 9P133 on BRDM-2 chassis (9M14P missile) 9K113 Konkurs 9P148 on BRDM-2 chassis (9M113 Gaboy missile) 9K113/111 Konkurs 9P148 on BRDM-2 chassis (2x 9M111 Fagot + 3x 9M113 Gaboy) 9K114 Shturm-S 9P149 on MT-LB chassis (9M114 Kokon missile) MT-LB MT-LB SNAR-10 Leopard artillery radar MT-LBu 1V14 artillery command and recon vehicle MT-LBu 9S80 (PPRU-1) air defense command vehicle MTU-55 bridge layer OT-62B OT-64A PT-76 T-54 T-55 obr59 T-55 obr71 T-55AM T-55AM2 (Czechoslovakia production) T-55AMV T-62 obr61 T-62 obr72 T-62M T-62MV T-72 Ural T-72 Ural-1 T-72A T-72M T-72M1 ZSU-23-4V ZSU-23-4V1 ZSU-23-4M ZSU-57-2 Most of the skins are 2048x2048 I highly recommend resizing to desired (lower) size format. 1 pointDear Friends, Today we present to you the 5.104 update. It brings a new campaign and new mission types for Career mode. 5.104 UPDATE The new historical campaign Sky Nomads now is already available on our website and on Steam. It continues the story of the Soviet fighter pilot you may know from the Blazing Steppe campaign. After having fought in the Stalingrad battle in 1942, in 1943 he found himself in a midst of a hectic battle of Kuban - the campaign title reflects a bit the nomad life of the 43rd IAP which had to constantly change airfields and endure several Luftwaffe strikes on its positions. There is more information about the campaign in our Dev Blog #344. New missions in the Career mode are photo reconnaissance, artillery spotting, and the escort of the transport aircraft on airdrop missions. The photo recon missions are now available with the Arado Ar. 234 of Sonderkommando Götz in Normandy (in the next update it will be also added to Spitfire XIVe). Artillery spotting missions are given to RAF squadrons No. 26 and No. 63 in Normandy which had the Spitfire MK.Vb and were specially trained for this task. The transport escort missions happen in the historical timeframes of the Normandy, Market Garden, Bastogne, and Varsity airborne operations - you can them in any Allied fighter squadron. Do your best to keep them safe on their way to the drop zone and back home! There are other changes and fixes in the list as well: 5.104 New historical campaign Sky Nomads (Yak-7b pilot in the battle of Kuban). There is detailed info about it in our Dev Blog #344; New Career mode missions: Photo Recon on jet Arado Ar. 234 in Normandy (Sonderkommando Götz); New Career mode missions: Artillery Spotting on Spitfire Mk.Vb in Normandy (No. 26 and No. 63 Squadrons RAF that were specially trained for this task); New Career mode missions: Transport Aircraft Escort of C-47s on their way to their drop zones during Normandy, Market Garden, Bastogne, and Varsity airborne operations timeframes; Tank campaigns Last Chance and Breaking Point are updated (added tactical numbers to aircraft involved, added new vehicles to some of the engagements); Many award descriptions updated; Ju 87D-3: the additional armor plate now moves together with the canopy as it should; Bf 109 G-6/AS: rockets correctly disappear when jettisoning their containers. WARBRD RACE 2023 WINNERS In other news - we have the winners of the air race finals. They will receive or have received gifts from us and VIRPIL Controls. As you can see, CSW_Tommy454 grabbed the first prizes in both categories - air races are unpredictable and two participants crashed in their Messerschmitts after performing a difficult maneuver! The race stream is available here. Also, if you have participated in the race qualification, don't forget to check your profile on IL-2 website - there is a -50% off promo code applicable to all released content, including the newest ones like Spitfire XIVe, SSW D.IV or Battle of Normandy. JULY CALENDAR Finally, here's an artwork ready to become your desktop wallpaper for next month if you wish (FullHD, 4K). See you in the skies!

1 pointHi. Is there a way to remove "parts" from the "pilots" models? 7th Wing 1995: Bones and Herks of Dyess This mod represents the 7th Wing in 1995. The 7th was one of the USAF's experiments with composite wings, this one featuring strategic bombers and tactical airlifters based at Dyess AFB, Texas. The third part of Cold East Ground Objects Bonanza mods for the SF2 series game. First of all. This is not entirely a 'Plug and Play' mod. Yes, some objects will appear in the game right away, but some will not - because some objects are meant to be used via the target editor. Especially in Vol. 3, you will find many 'eye candy' objects but you will find also basic trucks, fuel tankers, and artillery support objects In general, the whole mod is built for terrain enhancement - a lot of objects should be added in terrain TYPES and TARGETS. Part three contains mostly trucks cars and airfield objects in general, some artillery units. All of the skins are green, I added a few camo versions and a few extra but just for specific objects. NO Tan/Desret scheme. This might come in a more specific mod for specific terrains in the future. Some trucks have light emitters made by guuruu - made to work at night and be 'invisible' during the day - well effect ended up somewhere in the middle.. You decide - it is easily removable in data.ini. Userlist ini files are just in a few objects but they might need editing for your own use. If you have similar models from me - released years ago - do not mix them up. I recommend deleting all old files. Here you will find new updated models. Under any circumstances DO NOT mix these objects with any ODS 30Aniversary Edition mod. Even in the future. ODS30AE objects are exclusive for ODS and differ in many ways from Cold East Ground Objects Bonanza. SA-2, SA-3, SA-9, SA-8B, SA-13, SA-7. Again those SAMs are not really plug-and-play mods. I have made them in groups (SA-2A, SA-2B, SA-3, etc...) each group contains EWR, SAM_RADAR, and SAM_LAUNCHER. It is up to the player to pick and choose the desired system for a specific mod, terrain, etc. all except SA-2 use new weapon models. SA-2 uses an older model that was available for years already. (for now, I have no patience to finish my models) All objects have destroyed models added. Gun files should be taken carefully - they are slightly modified by guuruu with decreased performance. Charlie Vipers on Guard Part 3: Block 40/42s in the 90s This mod is the thrid of three to represent the various versions of the F-16C/D in US Air National Guard service during the 1990s. Multinational Speech pack version 1.0 for Strike Fighters 2 SHould work on any type of SF2 installation. This is a compilation of speech packs brought together by me from original files mainly made for IL-2 Sturmovik and released as part of DBW. Due to the limited phrases available, it is intended more for immersion than for accuracy. I can't claim any credit for the actual recording, but I did some re-editing and re-processing to better bring the files in line with SF2. I've also included a re-processed version of Gramps' Russian Speech Pack available on Combatace. BE WARNED: If you speak any of these languages you may not enjoy how they fit into the game. For the most part I tried to find phrases that fit the different SF2 files in general meaning, but they are far from perfect, and a few are actually just random. You may want to turn on subtitles, at least until you get used to the different phrases. Special note to my fellow New Zealanders: I humbly apologise for lumping us in with the Aussies, but it was the closest I could get ;-) ----------------------------- Credits and huge thanks: Original files provided as part of the awesome Dark Blue World mod from SAS.com for IL-2: RAF NZandAus French German Italy ------------------------- Originals from GONVISE for IL2: Spain ---------------------------- Originals from Azrael-WT, TIGERLIU, CrazyDog, Northeastern Panda, Liu MM, TIGERLIU, bwhorse, treefanweijia, llb00825, bwhorse for IL2: China -------------- Originals from EECH and first converted by Richard "Gramps" Kaminski: Russian ---------------- As for the Arabic, I actually can't remember where I got them from, but thanks to whoever made them. Installation: Place whichever pack you desire into the Speech sub-folder of your main mod folder eg: ...username/Saved Games/Thirdwire/StrikeFighters2 Europe/Speech/German then go to the flight folder and open the NATIONS.ini file to edit whatever nationality you want to use that particular language. Making sure to use the EXACT same spelling as the folder you're pointing to. eg: [Nation008] Name=WGermany DisplayName=German Luftwaffe Alignment=FRIENDLY PilotNameList=NamesGerman.lst RankList=RanksGAF.lst CallsignList=CallsignsUS.lst Formation.Fighter=USFighter Formation.Attack=USFighter Formation.Bomber=USBomber Formation.Transport=USBomber Formation.Tank=USTank Formation.MobileAD=USAD PilotTrainingStandard=NORMAL GenderRatio=0 DebriefSuccessMusic=DebriefSuccess.wav DebriefFailMusic=DebriefFail.wav DebriefKilledMusic=DebriefKilled.wav SpeechFile=German <------edit this line SpeechTextFile=USAFSpeechText.str StartDate=1956 [Nation017] Name=EGermany DisplayName=East German Air Force Alignment=ENEMY PilotNameList=NamesGerman.lst RankList=RanksUSAF.lst CallsignList=CallsignsUS.lst Formation.Fighter=SovietFighter Formation.Attack=SovietFighter Formation.Bomber=SovietBomber Formation.Transport=SovietBomber Formation.Tank=SovietTank Formation.MobileAD=SovietAD PilotTrainingStandard=NORMAL GenderRatio=0 DebriefSuccessMusic=DebriefSuccess.wav DebriefFailMusic=DebriefFail.wav DebriefKilledMusic=DebriefKilled.wav SpeechFile=German <------------------and again SpeechTextFile=USAFSpeechText.str ActiveDate=1959 AlternateDecal=EGermany_OLD55 StartDate=1956 EndDate=1990 It's as easy as that. You can use different languages for as many different countries as you wish and whenever you fly for that particular country, that is the language you will hear. This pack is strictly freeware. Use however you want, so long as it's free. Have fun! Cheers thereg -
0 pointsHello my dear friends, I have been away for the last month and didn't really spend much time on my computer. My brother passed away last week due to kidney failure, we had to amputate his leg due to gangerine and five days later he passed. I might not be on for a while more as I need some more time to recover, I hope you all take care in the mean time, I hope to be back soon.
