Haven't played in about eight months. Came back with a fresh install of SF2V with eburger's expansion. Flying my trusty Thunderchief in Rolling Thunder. Taking off on my first mission. Endless jungle, sure hope I never have to go into it! Bombs away! The NVA opened up with flak as we rolled in One down, ninety nine more to go...

Second mission was in very low visibility. We managed to hit the target but I can't say the same for the B-57s hitting a different one. NVA hit my bird on the third mission. Tore the flap off the right wing and peppered the fuselage with holes. Republic builds them tough! (I didn't have any damage tgas show up). Fourth and fifth missions were uneventful. Seen a couple MiGs but otherwise missions in RP1 and RP3 have been routine. Not sure what sort of effect these strikes are having but I don't think hitting sheds and trucks are enough.

Seventh mission was my first in RP6. Target was a railroad bridge, a proper target. We carried 3000 pound bombs but both my wingman and I missed the target. Flak was intense. On the way out I encountered my first SAM. Dove towards the ground and as I leveled out I saw it pass off to my eleven o'clock high. Took some minor damage from flak shells but nothing the maintainers can't patch up. 740 is starting to have patch work every few missions. I'm on ten missions now and since I've arrived at Korat we've lost two pilots. I've seen jets in other flights fireball and heard the radio calls. I don't know how the hell any of us are going to get out of Indochina alive.

SF2 RoCAF F-86F Sabre Skin & Decal Pack 10/14/2023 -For SF2 =ONLY= (Full 4/5 Merged Reccomended) This is a new skin for the F-86F-40 available here at CombatAce at the following url: https://combatace.com/files/file/13788-sf2-f-86f-40-sabre-remod-pak/ This pack is 'representative' of F-86F series Sabres used by the Republic of China Air Force (Taiwan). In truth, the RoCAF had several 86F sub-variants, but eventually almost all were brought up to -40 specs. All markings, excepting the fuselage and wing ID bands are decals. Decal randomization is TRUE. All serial/buzz numbers are 100% historically accurate for Sabres serving in the RoCAF. They do not, however, replicate any specific or particular squadron. I was unable to run them down accurately enough. You have a "basic" full squadron of 26 numbers. As is always reccomended, unzip to a temp folder or your desktop to give easy access to the rest of this readme for it's install instructions. PLEASE read them, before installing!!! Happy Landings! Fictional mod of the stock Mirage 5F to make it look like fictional fighter planes for the spanish air force (if they did not choose the Mirage III and F1). They shall depict possble aircraft that could have entered service in if they did not choose the Mirage III and F1. The cockpit used (and the one the aircrafts ini links to) is Crusaders great Cockpit for the 5F; but it's not included. So you have to get it or take another one. The pack comes with two aircraft: - Mirage 5FE (standard aircraft) in two camos (two-color green-grey and the EDA Lizard scheme for the service in the 80s) - Mirage 5FE2 (upgraded aircraft) in the grey camo used from the 90s on. The upgrades on the FE2 include: - Cyrano Radar - upgraded Engine - internal ECM - improved A/G-capabilites (use of LG-Weaponry) - internal Chaff/Flare-dispensers INSTRUCTIONS 1. Drop the folders into your Objects folder. If asked to overwrite, click yes. CREDITS Big Thanks to Thirdwire for the games and the superb models they have. Kindest regards ValAstur

SF2 F-86F-40 Sabre Remod Pak = For SF2 ONLY, Full-4/5 Merged (Full-5 Reccomended/Preferred) = A remod/compliation of several F-86F Skin/Ini paks, now fully compliant with SF2. If you have the originals, you'll probably want to delete them, as THIS pack is designed to FULLY replace it. It is also suggested you be at the latest patch level, due to some ini 'switches' used. This pak contains the following skin/decal sets: JASDF: 1 Kokutai 3 Kokutai 6 Kokutai 8 Kokutai Imperial Iranian AF Ethiopian AF 461st FDS, 50th FBW, USAFE 1956-ish (*note: in RL, was possbily -30 or -35) and an extra 'blank' natural metal skin, that you can use for whatever. Included: NEW SF2 compliant FM (from KAW) New 'sabre specific' HVAR A-G rocket (station specific coded) NEW cockpit (from the KAW F-86F) NEW Sounds (from KAW) 'fake pilot' wing fences tweeks by Crusader for the KAW Sabres (well done Otto!!) All skins are in jpg format, and decal randomization is set to TRUE. The loadout ini uses the Year and Nation specific loadout switches for some of the export users, as defined in the enclosed Userlist.ini. Damage textures are the same DDS units as seen with the KAW Sabres. Other than the 'new' rocket, no other weapons are included, excepting the drop tank. As always, fairly easy to follow, yet semi-detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them. Also, please give the "Notes" section a read too. Happy Hunting! wrench kevin stein with thanks to PauloPanz for motivating me to finally finish this!!
