2 pointsIn the modern world of deepfakes and AI generated speech, would it be possible to leverage some of the tech out there to create additional speechpacks for SF2? I'm thinking packs for various international accents of English, as well as other languages. Are there any programs out there that you could feed the stock speech text (is there a file with that somewhere?) into and then get the required speech files in the language, gender etc. that you wanted? Cheap programs would be good. Free would be better. Any thoughts?

2 pointsThings change over time, DirectX 10 is now pretty old, and current video drivers for graphics cards clearly give priority to what's new. My only suggestion is to try the DXVK wrapper I link in the ODS 30AE download page; in converting DX10 to Vulkan rendering, it makes graphics a bit worse but it seems it reduces black textures and crashes to desktop by far. Before I bought my dedicated Nvidia GPU, I was using the integrated one by Intel which is very weak. I couldn't even load a mission in the ODS 30AE mod, but once the wrapper was added, I could finally load missions.

2 pointsUnfortunately it happens also when the game runs out of memory, and like it has been said before, it happens in large mods and objects with several high resolution textures. When textures become black randomly on parts that usually appear textured, that's when the game has memory issues and is close to a crash to desktop. It happens to me in ODS 30AE with consecutive missions unless I reload the game after each mission.

2 pointsYes, this is a problem with the game itself, so I usually split the mods into several copies and copy several games (similar to creating multiple campaign packs lol) to reduce the burden of game spawning units, which does reduce the chance of CTD. Even so, I still need to restart the game frequently to avoid the "black skin" problem...

1 pointThis is not because of a format error, everything was normal in the previous game, but once I refly multiple times, those normal skins will turn black. So I have to close the game and restart. As Menrva said so. What's interesting to me is it didn't happen on my old computer a few years ago

1 pointFriday, September 13th, 2024 - a sad day for the Bulgarian Air Force. During a training flight for an airshow, that should have taken place today, while performing low altitude maneuvers 2 air force pilots in a L-39ZA flew away forever. RIP! Deepest sympathy to their families...

1 pointSorry to ask in a screenshot thread, but all of these modded in planes, like the B1 and the late model B52s; do they have campaigns? Or even missions? If not how are you playing with them? I especially wonder about the transports, because there's no mission type in the game that covers (fly A > B). Anyway, I'm not flying these, but here's a BUFF I snapped months ago at the start of Rolling Thunder, plastering a target in Vinh.

The Sopwith Triplane, also known as the "Tripe" or "Tripehound," was introduced at the end of 1916. By mid 1917, several British and French naval squadrons were equipped with the plane. The narrow chord of the three staggered wings gave the pilot an excellent field of view and gave the plane an exceptional rate of climb as well as outstanding agility. The Triplane was considered an exceptional fighter and stayed in service until replaced by the Sopwith Camel in late 1917. Captured Sopwith Triplanes inspired the development of the more famous Fokker Dr.1. My model of the Sopwith Triplane has the smaller tail assembly introduced early in 1917. Earlier planes had a larger tail plane nearly identical to the tail of the Sopwith Pup. Most Triplanes were equipped with a single Vickers machine gun mounted on the fuselage. A small number of Sopwith Triplanes had two guns. This is the two gun version. My Sopwith Triplane has a skin, with appropriate decals, for the "Black Flight" of the RNAS 10 squadron. Note - these skins are NOT interchangeable with the skins for my other Sopwith Triplanes. A fully functional cockpit is included, along with my skinning templates. I have included a sound file for the Clerget 130 hp engine, but you may already have it. Credits Although he's very busy these days, Ojcar found the time to make the FM for this plane. My thanks to him. The sound file included with this plane came with Sinbad's series of Sopwith Strutters, so you may already have it. I included it with this download in case you don't. Historical Note The Black Flight had five planes, each with its name painted at the cockpit. I have added 15 fictitious names in order to complete the decal set. Installation Instructions For FE1 - Unzip the file and move the folder named "SopwithTripe2Gun" into the FirstEagles/Objects/Aircraft folder. My Triplane uses the sound file that came with Sinbad's series of Strutters, so you may already have it. If you don't, copy the file named "RotaryEngineClerget130" from my Sounds folder into your FirstEagles/Sounds folder. For FE2 - Unzip the file and move the folder named "SopwithTripe2Gun" into the FirstEagles/Objects/Aircraft folder. Then in the FirstEagles/Objects/Decals folder, create new folder named "SopwithTripe2Gun". Move the folder named "D" from the Aircraft/SopwithTripe2Gun folder into the Decals/SopwithTripe2Gun folder you just made. My Triplane uses the sound file that came with Sinbad's series of Strutters, so you may already have it. If you don't, copy the file named "RotaryEngineClerget130" from my Sounds folder into your FirstEagles/Sounds folder.
