    This aircraft has a very interesting flight model (thanks to the Ojcar who created it!). The plane seems to be "hanging" on the control stick. All the time you need to deal with gravity, because the plane has a clear tendency to dive, so the pilot should not weaken his attention during the flight. At the same time, the aircraft is very agile, as befits a "large battle-plane."

    This aircraft mod represents Dassault's what-if Mirage 4000P fighter and its trainer PB variant in the Portugese Air Force service. This package comes with 1 skin set for each variant, with decals for P (14 planes), and for PB (6 planes). Also it is dedicated to our friend Cocas who put his work and time to bring us many of the rare or experimental aircraft in this game series and originally created the base model for this plane. This model is meant for SF2 games only, SF1 variants will be uploaded at the SF1 section. Install is the regular dropping the contents in their respective places. In case you have the prototype or French A and B variants you can skip the overwrite prompt of weapons as those 6 items are identical. Please note: The model can be quite heavy on FPS in large formations on weaker machines, so if required, either resize skin files or use lower lods(_nd,001,002,003) as lod1. The model uses the general french and NATO weapons, either as part of weapon packs or the Mirage 2000 family. Important: The PB variant comes with 2 types of cockpit, the basic setup will use a simple pit that has only the pilots cabin instrumented. The other is a fully modeled front and rear compartment, in which you want to fly you should activate the proper line in the AC's.ini file.     In CFS3, we managed to create player useable ground vehicles and AA guns. It was easier admittedly because CFS3 allows you to take control of aircraft gun turrets, so if the tracked part of the SPAAG is the "pilot's" position as driver with a modified FM file, the air gunner's position simply functions the same way as it always does. It provides a bit of fun from time to time - you can drive round, and you can engage aerial or ground targets. So much for CFS3. But what of SF2? Admittedly, turrets are out because SF2 does not support player-operated turrets, but what about SAMs? Is there a way to adapt of model a player-operated SAM launcher, even if it is static? Could the FM file allow the launcher to tilt upwards somehow, without its changing place? Thinking jets and brakes for example - if the brakes are applied and the engine thrust increased, the attitude will change... I'm sure there must be a way to do this with some creative thinking, but I don't know my way round well enough... Merry Christmas, in the meantime!

    Apart from what Yakarov says, I guess that since all ground objects (SAMs included) are classified as ground infrastructure (SAM_RADAR, STATIC_SAM, STATIC_AAA, etc) they can not be player usable, that's how game's engine is made. It was developed to control aircrafts not ground objects or ships. If we had the source code and a good programmer maybe... Edit: Merry Christmas to everyone!

    I have done this years ago...but seriously not worth of effort. It will not work as sam...as there is no ground-air radar.you can lock target and fire missle using available avionics dll but just that.not much radar operation... Edit: if i have still those files will pop them here after new year..

    Always liked this Tom Newsom print of Santa inspecting the J-3's propeller. By the look of things, I hope he is as thorough with his weight and balance calculations and that he's upgraded that powerplant to the 65 h.p. version! In the background, looks like Santa's six will be covered by a S.P.A.D. XIII this year. Peace on Earth and good will towards men!

    MiG-23-11 Flogger Prototype This mod is based on the serial MiG-23S created by ArmourDave and The Mirage Factory. History The prototype 23-11 flew without weapons, and on the prototype 23-12 they worked out the placement of K-23 complex 2 missiles on pylons under the wing and 2 missiles under the engine’s air intakes according to the scheme semi-recessed. On production aircraft, only 2 R-23 missiles were left under the wing on the pylon, but not semi-recessed R-23 missiles.
