Waiting for the 19th of this month to get my treatment plan. They took both my tonsils on the 22 April, and the report confirmed the right tonsil to have cancer, and rescheduled my PET scan and MRI for the next two weeks, one on the 8th and the other on the 13th, to see how far it's spread and which lymph more are affected by the cancer in the nuck in both sides. Aside from that, I am okay.50 points

Gepard did the air defenses, I'm just doing 2 bases (well, unless he needs more help, which I doubt) Here's a couple of shots of Nakon Phanom , TAE and in-game. (you can see the differences) Nightmare trying to find good map of the base layout. So, some "things" are conjecture. I'll pass all this along (albeit in VNSEA) to Gepard this weekend. He'll have some retiling to do for both these bases (read: expand the clear airbase zones)47 points

More work done, and Ubon is 98.6% finished. I just 'test flew' a mission, and I don't think the parking slots are listed or fully correct, as nobody showed up. Here's some images, one from the TAE, and 2 from in-game. (yes I added a couple of parked helos from my seemingly never-ending supply) Moving on to Naked Phanny next44 points

i´m almost done with the F-4E_79_Pave_Spike cockpit and like to share some pictures it took me quite some time to get the LOS ( Line Of Sight ) indicator working , what i did now is to set the LOS needle to work only with LGB bombs and use the roll and pitch limits form the F-4E weapons delivery manual to get the LOS indicator working right we would need a roll and pitch function with regards to the target , since we dont have that i use the ROLL_INDICATOR and PITCH_INDICATOR function the green , yellow and red flags work now as they should except if you fly a looping , at the top of the looping the lights start working where the should not work will see if i can fix that i will update the F-4D_78 cockpit and Buccaneer cockpit with the LOS indicator function LOS green flag = 30° - 65° pitch LOS yellow flag = 65° - 70° pitch LOS Red flag = 70° - 180° pitch LOS needle = -110° to 160° roll20 points

I know this has been a long way, but finally, we are releasing the first variant for the swing wing Su-17 series. The Su-17 (Sans Suffix) is the first production swing wing series coming from the fixed wing Su-7 series, which has been in service since 1959. the plane still shared some common parts with the 7, like the tail (same as the Su-7BKL series) and fuselage fuel pipes, to mention some external ones. The same store payload (more or less) was hanging from 6 external hardpoints, all for unguided munitions, the only real advantage with the Su-7 series is the swing wings that shortened the takeoff and landing runs. Unless its predecessor this specific variant was not widely exported, only Egypt was provided with a few examples (named Su-17K). CombatACE team who deserve credits on the project is mentioned below, please if someone is missing (Hey, this has more than 10 years in the making) is listed below: For the 3D aspects: Martin K. A.K.A. 76.IAP-Blackbird. Laszlo B. A.K.A. Logan4. Enoc M. A.K.A. FLOGGER23. The FM: Cliff7600 Armament Department: Snailman Cliff7600 Skinning: FLOGGER23 I want to thank the advice to the following guys: Snailman for the references Soulfreak for the stencil pics Stary for general skinning tips General installation tips. As this is a first release and the plane was operated by the Soviet Air Force, I recommend using it in the European/Asian-Ish terrains for realism. All squadrons and decals have been verified as historical, but errors may have been made, be nice to us (me) All of the mod folders have been arranged for you to drop them in the main game folder of your preference. Some weapons have been made from scratch, please review what you have and what you need. Some effects have been made, also, please back up what you have. Su-17K as mentioned above, will be released as separated for SF2:I Thanks to all who stayed this long with us to (hopefully) enjoy this release, we will work on the next variant as time allows, as they are in the final stages of release. Safe flights everyone!20 points -

Hey there, my dear friends! I’m excited to share that I’ve finally finished my treatment! It felt like it took ages, but I’m relieved to be on the other side now. I’m in the recovery stage, which will take about 3 to 4 weeks. After that, hopefully, I can start eating normally again, although I’m still missing my sense of taste, haha! I’ve been taking it easy and, believe it or not, I think I’ve lost around 12 kilograms during this time. It’s been quite the journey, but I’m staying positive and hoping for some great news soon, inshallah. I just want to say a huge thank you to all of you for your incredible support. It means the world to me! Take care and chat soon, Mohamad.19 points

Dear All, Today we proudly announce the release of a new, re-edited and upgraded version of the Yankee Air Pirate project known as: "YAP RW Phase One - Enhanced Edition (2025)". We have spent more than a year and a half doing our best to correct all the issues, errors and mistakes contained in the original release. This includes removing assets used without proper permission or those that came from unauthorized sources. We apologize for the past. We were unaware of many of these aspects and concerns, and therefore we did not respect other's work as we should have done. First, we would like to thank those who contributed to the project and gave us help, support, ideas or made their assets available. We all know that without the brilliant creations of this site, YAP RW could not even exist. So for that, I extend my sincere thanks to CombatACE for being such a great source of top quality works and talented modders. For this release, we have paid special attention to the Credit List, doing our best to cite authors and ensure proper credit has been given. We realize that with all the complexities and edits that have been done, it’s very possible we may have forgotten to include credits for certain works or there may be inaccuracies with our source citations. If that is the case, please let us know and we will immediately correct it. That being said, people should fully respect that all of the models/assets in our project cannot be used anywhere else without our direct permission, they remain exclusive to this project like John would have wanted but also allows us to better manage artist permissions so we hopefully don’t have any future concerns. Please keep in mind that the YAP RW project is made by fans for fans. None of us were part of the original development team, and we never made a single cent out of the old payware products (plus we have no control over the old homepage and purchase options). We do not have debts with anybody for the old assets bought by John Shelton during the YAP1/2/3 Era and are only looking forward at this point. We legally bought all the 10 asset packs, installed them while still running WOV and then decided to challenge ourselves by trying a conversion to the SF2 engine. We knew we were going to lose many unique features including aerial refueling, low clouds, carrier catapult positioning and more. But we thought it was still worth the effort. We worked a lot before releasing this version, but we know it is not perfect. We tried to correct all the errors, but there are bound to be mistakes and oversights and for now we feel satisfied with the current state. If anyone has suggestions to make it better, well we are open to proposed fixes and improve what we can. We have a group on Facebook, and because it is already well established we plan to continue to use this as a primary collaboration forum. It's a private group, since we had to defend ourselves from hackers and so on, but the group is free and open to anyone who wants to join in. You are all welcome, just show us you want to support and appreciate the project and there will be no issues. Of course, we do not like denigrators, haters, detractors, generic trouble makers just like they are not welcomed here. That's all. The new YAP RW version is free and is available for download on our new, independent homepage: www.yap-revamp-works.com, along with all the other chapters we revamped so far. This version there are 102 missions (92 combat plus 10 training), all revamped in chronological order and in logical sequence: we decided to go back to the original idea of reconstructing the Vietnam Air War per year and therefore will cover the early period from 1954 to 1966. We will be honored to hear your comments, suggestions or any screenshots or videos you might make. And maybe you would be willing to contribute even more to the project. Thank you for your collaboration and have a nice day in the skies. The YAP RW Team Website and download pages: https://www.yap-revamp-works.com/17 points

i´m not able to work on any mods right now but i thought that i can share something i did last year when i made my first AN/ALQ-101 ecm pod some years ago i did not have any of the reference material i have today , like manuals and original blue prints and pictures , so the first ALQ-101 pods i made are wrong by the dimensions and as well as the type names for it , that was the reason i started last year and made some new AN/ALQ-101 ecm pods thiis is what i came up with QRC-335A / AN/ALQ-101 AN/ALQ-101A with RAT AN/ALQ-101 (V)2 early version AN/ALQ-101 (V)2 late version AN/ALQ-101 (V2 Special , this are ecm pods for a specific threat expected on the mission the red markings are painted over the existing ones , this pods where always carried in a pair with an normal AN/ALQ-101 (V)2 pod ( early or late ) AN/ALQ-101 (V)3 AN/ALQ-101 (V)4 , USAF and German Air Force AN/ALQ-101 (V)6 , USAF and Israeli Air Force AN/ALQ-101 (V)8 , USAF and Iran Air Force AN/ALQ-101 (V)8 , Royal Air Force AN/ALQ-101 (V)9 , USAF and Iran Air Force AN/ALQ-101 (V)10 , USAF AN/ALQ-101 (V) 10 , German Air Force AN/ALQ-101 (V)10 , Royal Air Force all this ecm pods are in this pack , includet are new Loadout.ini for the Buccaneer because of new names for the UK pods , just drop them in to the respective folder and let overwrite if ask to PLEASE remove or delete any existing AN/ALQ-101 pods before you install this new ones ALQ-101 Pack.7z some reference material an F-4D with to AN/ALQ-101 (V)2 pods , the one in front is the one marked special original blue print from westinghouse by going true my Iran Air Force picture i came across this ecm pod , it is clearly an AN/ALQ-101 like the (V)8 but a short version of it , so i start searching for info material on a short version (V)8 and found this page in an T.O. !F-4C-35 manual and there is an AN/ALQ-101 (V)9 listed with a total lenght of 112 inches , so i found the short version pod , i just had no clue that this pod existed and that the Iranian Air Force got them the Iranian Air force modified this ecm pod to an X-Band pod around 2015 with a frequency range from 6.2 to 10.9 Ghz , the call it the Shahin X Band electronic warfare pod this pod is includet in the pack , picture is below Shahin X Band ecm pod have fun with the pods , ravenclaw_00717 points

EF2000 Typhoon Add-on February 13th, 2025 (1st Release) by GKABS, Bongodriver, ace888, compufat and Menrva >For Strike Fighters 2 games This is a complete add-on of the EF2000 Typhoon aircraft, featuring all of its Real World operators. The original model by Bongodriver has been overhauled by GKABS with additional details, including a proper PIRATE System built into the aircraft's 3d model. The package currently includes the following operators and relative skins produced by ace888, GKABS and compufat, with tweaks by yours truly where needed for quality consistency: -Royal Air Force, 15 skins -German Air Force, 14 skins -Italian Air Force, 9 skins -Spanish Air Force, 5 skins -Austrian Air Force, 2 skins -Royal Saudi Air Force, 2 skins -Kuwait Air Force, 2 skins -Qatar Emiri Air Force, 1 skin -Royal Air Force of Oman, 1 skin I further polished the package by adding historically accurate weapon loadouts for all operators throughout the years, my own selection of sounds, new cockpit and HUD textures and other smaller tweaks here and there. The incredibly detailed weapons included in the package are the courtesy of ravenclaw_07. Notes: -The aircraft folder is named "EF2000". In order to avoid mismatches and bugs of any sort, it's highly suggested to either remove or rename any pre-existing "EF2000" folder you might have. -You need to tweak the SoundList.ini file in order to fully experience any new sounds. Read "(Add to SoundList)" for further details, and remember to extract the SoundList.ini file from the FlightData.cat archive, if you do not have a custom one in your mod folder already. >Credits (in no particular order): -GKABS, for reworking the original aircraft 3d model by Bongodriver, for skins and decals for Kuwait and Qatar and for his reworked templates. -ravenclaw_07, for his fantastic high quality recreations of missiles, bombs and pods. -ace888, for reworking the original add-on by Bongodriver with several new skins and decals for all operators of the time. -compufat, for supporting this project with skins of special liveries. -Bongodriver, for his original EF2000 aircraft and cockpit 3d models and for the skin templates. -My girlfriend, for supporting me in all of my endeavors.16 points -

Hmmmm, cant say I've noticed this before, but today because my loading times are pretty long on my heavily modded Vietnam install, I decided decided to throw a copy of the stock SEA terrain in the mod folder as I'm only wanting to checkout the work I'm doing on an F-4B model. Obviously the loading times were way quicker so I'm flying around checking thing out , stopping and starting a few missions when it suddenly dawned on me that the clouds were lower than the mountain tops..............I know there's no trees showing up but if you only fly hi level missions it might be interesting to slam into a hillside like in the old days..16 points
