  1. Waiting for the 19th of this month to get my treatment plan. They took both my tonsils on the 22 April, and the report confirmed the right tonsil to have cancer, and rescheduled my PET scan and MRI for the next two weeks, one on the 8th and the other on the 13th, to see how far it's spread and which lymph more are affected by the cancer in the nuck in both sides. Aside from that, I am okay.

  2. Gepard did the air defenses, I'm just doing 2 bases (well, unless he needs more help, which I doubt) Here's a couple of shots of Nakon Phanom , TAE and in-game. (you can see the differences) Nightmare trying to find good map of the base layout. So, some "things" are conjecture. I'll pass all this along (albeit in VNSEA) to Gepard this weekend. He'll have some retiling to do for both these bases (read: expand the clear airbase zones)

  3. More work done, and Ubon is 98.6% finished. I just 'test flew' a mission, and I don't think the parking slots are listed or fully correct, as nobody showed up. Here's some images, one from the TAE, and 2 from in-game. (yes I added a couple of parked helos from my seemingly never-ending supply) Moving on to Naked Phanny next

  6. Hi everyone, I'd like to take a minute to give everyone a quick update on our current projects. THEMES RELEASED We've released new themes for the site which change the look and feel of CombatACE. At the bottom of all our pages locate the Theme link and select it to choose your favorite look while using our site. The Wings Over Flanders Fields theme has been revamped and returned to the Old Brown Dog Software Forum. Our classic theme "Morning Light" is the professional white background in our traditional color set. The new theme "After Sunset" is a deep mid-range denim that reminds me of one of our first theme sets we started with back in 2002 called Bohegedda. The newest theme "Midnight Abyss" is a dark rich black inspired theme that is super easy on the eyes especially at night. Feel free to pick your favorite and let us know which one you like best. LIBRARY WORK The Admins and Modders have been hard at work restoring some lost images on older files. This has been something I've wanted to accomplish for years and just never had the time. I can't thank everyone enough for all their time and energy they've invested into this project. As we go through these files the system is updating the "last update" timestamp which is causing some issues with the way the library is displaying most recent files shown first. When we're done we'll be restoring all the timestamps which will return the files back to normal with all images restored. OUR PICKS We're working on a new roll-out of hand-picked files we're endorsing as must-have downloads. We're continuing work on the section and hopefully will be done with it soon. Give it a look and let us know what you think of it so far. The Our Picks section of the site is live here https://combatace.com/ourpicks/

I know this has been a long way, but finally, we are releasing the first variant for the swing wing Su-17 series. The Su-17 (Sans Suffix) is the first production swing wing series coming from the fixed wing Su-7 series, which has been in service since 1959. the plane still shared some common parts with the 7, like the tail (same as the Su-7BKL series) and fuselage fuel pipes, to mention some external ones. The same store payload (more or less) was hanging from 6 external hardpoints, all for unguided munitions, the only real advantage with the Su-7 series is the swing wings that shortened the takeoff and landing runs. Unless its predecessor this specific variant was not widely exported, only Egypt was provided with a few examples (named Su-17K). CombatACE team who deserve credits on the project is mentioned below, please if someone is missing (Hey, this has more than 10 years in the making) is listed below: For the 3D aspects: Martin K. A.K.A. 76.IAP-Blackbird. Laszlo B. A.K.A. Logan4. Enoc M. A.K.A. FLOGGER23. The FM: Cliff7600 Armament Department: Snailman Cliff7600 Skinning: FLOGGER23 I want to thank the advice to the following guys: Snailman for the references Soulfreak for the stencil pics Stary for general skinning tips General installation tips. As this is a first release and the plane was operated by the Soviet Air Force, I recommend using it in the European/Asian-Ish terrains for realism. All squadrons and decals have been verified as historical, but errors may have been made, be nice to us (me) All of the mod folders have been arranged for you to drop them in the main game folder of your preference. Some weapons have been made from scratch, please review what you have and what you need. Some effects have been made, also, please back up what you have. Su-17K as mentioned above, will be released as separated for SF2:I Thanks to all who stayed this long with us to (hopefully) enjoy this release, we will work on the next variant as time allows, as they are in the final stages of release. Safe flights everyone!

  13. i´m almost done with the F-4E_79_Pave_Spike cockpit and like to share some pictures it took me quite some time to get the LOS ( Line Of Sight ) indicator working , what i did now is to set the LOS needle to work only with LGB bombs and use the roll and pitch limits form the F-4E weapons delivery manual to get the LOS indicator working right we would need a roll and pitch function with regards to the target , since we dont have that i use the ROLL_INDICATOR and PITCH_INDICATOR function the green , yellow and red flags work now as they should except if you fly a looping , at the top of the looping the lights start working where the should not work will see if i can fix that i will update the F-4D_78 cockpit and Buccaneer cockpit with the LOS indicator function LOS green flag = 30° - 65° pitch LOS yellow flag = 65° - 70° pitch LOS Red flag = 70° - 180° pitch LOS needle = -110° to 160° roll

Thanks for that info i found some info on that AIR-2A with the brown stripe they had a WP ( WP Smoke ) warhead so the pilot could see if the rocket was close enough to the target when it explodes i made now 2 AIR-2A Genie a nuclear version and a inert version with a WP warhead , in case you have the effects than there is no need to copy them , for the rockets just put them in your weapons folder and let overwrite if ask to AIR-2A Pack.7z thats how they look like now

  16. G'Day all, My next project is a production version of the F-32 and I am building all three versions A(CTOL)/B(STOVL)/C(CV). I never liked the massive chin intake of the prototype, so I have changed that. I also preferred the original delta wing design to the conventional wing/tail configuration of the proposed production model. It's currently in its early stages, but I'll post progressive updates here. In the meantime, enjoy these screenshots from 3dsmax. Dels

  20. Hey there, my dear friends! I’m excited to share that I’ve finally finished my treatment! It felt like it took ages, but I’m relieved to be on the other side now. I’m in the recovery stage, which will take about 3 to 4 weeks. After that, hopefully, I can start eating normally again, although I’m still missing my sense of taste, haha! I’ve been taking it easy and, believe it or not, I think I’ve lost around 12 kilograms during this time. It’s been quite the journey, but I’m staying positive and hoping for some great news soon, inshallah. I just want to say a huge thank you to all of you for your incredible support. It means the world to me! Take care and chat soon, Mohamad.

SF2 S2F-3S/S-2FE Tracker (Beta +) 11/12/2025 -For SF2 =ONLY= (Any & All, Full 4/5 Merged Recommended) Another "Found In The Archives" Job Found this while cleaning an external drive. I have no idea where I got it, when I got it, or who built it. I've checked with our South American brethren, and they weren't sure either, but support the decision to release it. It's a 'not quite' ready aircraft, with some mapping issues (like, some parts are unmapped), but otherwise in good shape. It flies fine (albeit a bit TOO overpowered and maneuverable, but otherwise just fine). Therefore, I've given it the rating of "Beta +". If anyone does know who built it , Please Let Me Know, and I'll update the credits. What we have here is a Grumman S2F-3S (SF2-E after 1962), and is VERY close to the G model. (See "Notes"). This is the later model, not the early type with the sensor pod on a pylon above the cockpit. The aircraft came with several skins, and of course I had to add more! Those marked with a star (*) are the original skins. Those unmarked, are by me. You'll have: US Navy: VS-21 "Fighting Red Tails" (Pacific 60-70) VS-37 "Sawbucks" (Pacific 61-73)* VS-28 "Hukkers" (Atlantic 60-69) VT-28 "Rangers" (60-79 TS-2A)* Argentine Navy: Escuadrilla Aeronaval Antisubmarina (Blue)(<1970)* Escuadrilla Aeronaval Antisubmarina (<1990)* Brazilian Navy: 1/1 Grupo de Aviacao Embarcada (P-16E)<1965)* Venezuela: Escuadron Antisubmarino (Ven <1970)* Royal Australian Navy: VS-816 NAS (RAN) (67-85) Generic Gull Gray/White* As can be seen, the SF2 Date Switch if active, and skins will change accordingly. The "Generic Skin" has been decaled for the USN, but with "fictional" markings. As all decal positions are now pre-plotted, other Texture Artists can easily make additional skins and decals The skin template is included; it's stored within the main aircraft folder. Nearly all marking are decals, with the exception of some national or squadron markings that are painted on due to a "lack of meshes" issue. All serials (BuNum for USN) have been matched as close as possible to their Modex numbers. Any numbers marked with the cross (Plus sign +) could not be matched to each other, but DID serve in the units assigned. In other words, nearly 100% historically correct. The BuNums for VT-28 are also correct, but as I couldn't find which were converted to the trainer, consider them 'generic' in nature. This mod uses (almost) all stock weapons. I've included the Mk.44 LWASW Torpedo, modifying it's service dates and exportation (after researching, of course). They work very well on Anti-shipping missions. All other weapons use stock 3W items. A new engine sound is also supplied (see "Notes" for install instructions) I've used the Standard Animation Keystrokes (tm), Shift/9 will fold the wings. Shift/0 (zero) will open the starboard side crew door. The MAD boom and belly radome extend automatically with landing gear retraction. It is fully Carrier Qualified, having been tested on USN, RAN, Argentine and Brazilian Navy CVs. On the Aircraft selection Dropdown on the Main Screen, you'll see: S2F-3S (S-2E) Tracker This will, of course, keep it differentiated from any other Stoofs that might be flying around. As is always recommended, unzip to a temp folder or your desktop to give easy access to the rest of this readme for it's install instructions. PLEASE read them, before installing!!! You will be adding a sound to your SoundList.ini, as SF2 has some weirdness with engine sounds (expecially in Win10/11). Please read the Notes section for other useless information, and (hopefully) full credits. Please also take note of changes in the Standard Disclaimer in the "Legal BS" section at the bottom. Good Hunting & Happy Landings! Wrench Kevin Stein

TAV-8B Harrier II. Basic modding skills are required to run this mod. (copy/paste, mod folder structure, etc.) It is designed for and works only in the SF2 series. So after a few years of lazzynes... First of all...If you want to count rivets....Do not. Many things could be done another way....But I did it my way. So you have to bear with it. There are still some small issues with the flight model and generally aircraft handling, but FM is not my sandbox. All skins are in 3072x3072 format. If you have problems running this in-game. Resize skins to lower resolutions Three sets of skins represent different periods of usage by VMAT-203 All serials are correct and historically accurate. For some reason, I have added weapons that are present in Loadout.ini. But remember, this version was intended to be a training aircraft for the USMC. So, not much of the 'Mud mover' spirit. Animations: 1= canopy open - close Activating the hook will transfer you from the front to the back seat - be aware that when you change seats, you can not change back...At least in this version.. If you want to jump like crazy from one seat to another, you have to edit the data.ini file yourself - I will not be part of this madness. Royal Norwegian Air Force Starfighters. This mod is not to compete with any previous packs. It is just my different approach. So before removing/overwriting any of the older stuff, test this one - as you may not like it. Basic modding skills are required to run this mod. (copy/paste, mod folder structure, etc.) Install: Copy and paste specific folders into the correct destination. In the game, under a prefix.LFV. * You will find F-104G / CF-104 that served in the Norwegian Air Force. * Luftforsvaret A fake pilot is required to run this mod. Also, the Thirdwire F-104 cockpit is required from the original game. Fuel tanks- Tanks are just ini files. The mod uses tanks that are part of an aircraft lod. Now mod uses an additional "no-fuel -no-tanks" loadout. Simply, If you want ot fly with a clean wing chose from the loadout dropdown menu option - no tanks. You need this specific weapon in the weapons folder. I have added some new pilot models, you can switch them easly in data.ini file, if you have such a desire. All skins are in 4096x4096 format. You can easily resize as needed. Decals represent historically correct serial numbers assigned to aircraft during their service in the Norwegian Air Force, for a specific year, squadron, etc. Historically, the first Norwegian starfighters were RF-104 versions, but without cameras, and during the first IRAN converted to F-104G type. Those airframes were only in a castrated RF configuration for a few months. Additionally, in 1965, three airframes arrived in Norway, but those three were built by Canadair. They were also in F-104G configuration and had all the remarks of F-104G, not CF-104. Also, those three were painted light grey. Not silver aluminium like previous birds. In this mod, I did not play so strictly with history, and all those 19 starfighters are F-104G with one silver paint. The first CF-104 arrived in Norway in 1973. All were formed in one 334 squadron, and carried a slightly different mission profile than the older F-104G. I could write a little more about history, but probably most of you will never read this or do not care about what I have written here. (which is already proven after my recent uploads) So I will pass... Credits. 3d modeling, mambo jumbo like skins, decals, some effects, ini work, pilots and seats model - yours truly .JH. Soulfreak - original templates, All skins in some way are based on his work. Some parts on the skin is his work, some is mine. The original model - Bobrock, Soulfreak, and my shitload of work hours to bring it to this standard. pilot model - I used a few parts from GKABS and guuruu work. light effects - guuruu All weapons by Ravenclaw, you should have them by now, but I have included what is listed in loadout.ini. TFU-11B is based on ravenclaw's HVAR. Dutch training rocket and bomb dispenser is made by me. Works only with Ravenclaw's training rounds. Cockpit repaint by Sophocles Avionics by alfa2 and some work of Eagle114th Please don't forget to say thank you if you like the file. 30. Dear All, Today we proudly announce the release of a new, re-edited and upgraded version of the Yankee Air Pirate project known as: "YAP RW Phase One - Enhanced Edition (2025)". We have spent more than a year and a half doing our best to correct all the issues, errors and mistakes contained in the original release. This includes removing assets used without proper permission or those that came from unauthorized sources. We apologize for the past. We were unaware of many of these aspects and concerns, and therefore we did not respect other's work as we should have done. First, we would like to thank those who contributed to the project and gave us help, support, ideas or made their assets available. We all know that without the brilliant creations of this site, YAP RW could not even exist. So for that, I extend my sincere thanks to CombatACE for being such a great source of top quality works and talented modders. For this release, we have paid special attention to the Credit List, doing our best to cite authors and ensure proper credit has been given. We realize that with all the complexities and edits that have been done, it’s very possible we may have forgotten to include credits for certain works or there may be inaccuracies with our source citations. If that is the case, please let us know and we will immediately correct it. That being said, people should fully respect that all of the models/assets in our project cannot be used anywhere else without our direct permission, they remain exclusive to this project like John would have wanted but also allows us to better manage artist permissions so we hopefully don’t have any future concerns. Please keep in mind that the YAP RW project is made by fans for fans. None of us were part of the original development team, and we never made a single cent out of the old payware products (plus we have no control over the old homepage and purchase options). We do not have debts with anybody for the old assets bought by John Shelton during the YAP1/2/3 Era and are only looking forward at this point. We legally bought all the 10 asset packs, installed them while still running WOV and then decided to challenge ourselves by trying a conversion to the SF2 engine. We knew we were going to lose many unique features including aerial refueling, low clouds, carrier catapult positioning and more. But we thought it was still worth the effort. We worked a lot before releasing this version, but we know it is not perfect. We tried to correct all the errors, but there are bound to be mistakes and oversights and for now we feel satisfied with the current state. If anyone has suggestions to make it better, well we are open to proposed fixes and improve what we can. We have a group on Facebook, and because it is already well established we plan to continue to use this as a primary collaboration forum. It's a private group, since we had to defend ourselves from hackers and so on, but the group is free and open to anyone who wants to join in. You are all welcome, just show us you want to support and appreciate the project and there will be no issues. Of course, we do not like denigrators, haters, detractors, generic trouble makers just like they are not welcomed here. That's all. The new YAP RW version is free and is available for download on our new, independent homepage: www.yap-revamp-works.com, along with all the other chapters we revamped so far. This version there are 102 missions (92 combat plus 10 training), all revamped in chronological order and in logical sequence: we decided to go back to the original idea of reconstructing the Vietnam Air War per year and therefore will cover the early period from 1954 to 1966. We will be honored to hear your comments, suggestions or any screenshots or videos you might make. And maybe you would be willing to contribute even more to the project. Thank you for your collaboration and have a nice day in the skies. The YAP RW Team Website and download pages: https://www.yap-revamp-works.com/
