    5. Spitfire MkIXe S-89, Czech Air Force, late 1940s

Spitfire MkIXe S-89, 10th Air Regiment, Czech Air Force, Praha-Kbely, 1949

When the Free Czech squadrons of the RAF (Nos. 310, 312, 313) returned to Czechoslovakia after the end of the War, they took their aircraft with them, specially repainted in Czech colours before their departure from RAF Manston. These aircraft were supplemented by a number of others bought from Britain, but with the arrival of the Communists in power in 1947, the S-89 as the Spitfire was known locally fell out of favour and was phased out in favour of Soviet types. Many Czech Spitfires were sold on to the new State of Israel.

For use ONLY with SF2 including the Israel Expansion Pack. This will NOT work if you do not have the stock TW Spitfires installed and working.

    6. Operation Darius Part 3

Here's a summary of what this version of OpDarius is

      - two blue campaigns -- one w/ a ground war; one w/o a ground war
      - ground campaign is not a full fledged invasion of Iran, rather border skirmishes (still very fun, esp. in the A-10C)
      - one red campaign w/o a ground campaign
      - new Iranian weapons, incl. AAMs, SAMs and MRBMs
      - new Iranian ground objects, incl. mobile SAM launchers, static SAM launchers, AAA, tanks, APCs, and MRBM launchers
      - two different versions of the F-14 included, one equipped with the Sedjeel missile (based on the Hawk)
      - dozens of new target areas added, incl. SAM sites, MRBM sites, nuclear research sites, and uranium processing/enrichment sites
      - overhauled TYPES.INI to better prioritize targets in campaigns
      - a number of aircraft added incl.the Gripen, Turkish/Greek F-4s and F-16s, the Greek A-7E(H), the new J-7ME, A-10C (w/ the new cockpit), AV-8B Plus, F-35A, F-111C (Late), CF-18_07, & Su-30MKM, A310 MRTT
      - some aircraft removed (F-4E_86, AT-6B, the AlphaJets, excess C-130s & Mirage 2000s, and a few others)
-plenty of other unnecessary cruft removed, incl. gigabytes of unused aircraft skins
      - new menu screens (nothing radical)
      - plenty of fixes to just about every area of the mod to get things updated to SF2 standards and working correctly

The only remaining problem that I know of is the SA-10, which for the life of me I cannot get to launch no matter what I try or what version from whatever mod I use. I've got the damn thing working in WOE, but it doesn't work in SF2.

I did try to preserve as much as possible of the original Op Darius package (incl. basing arrangements for the participating units). So, if someone was really into the first version, they ought to like this version as well.

It's essentially Op Darius, cleaned up, updated, fixed, expanded, and now sporting spiffy new campaigns so that you can play it like a traditional Strike Fighters all-in-one mod.

Note that this version should NOT be installed over the previous version that Wrench released.

    10. Baltika's Iceland new trees texture

This is simple re-texture of trees found in Baltika's fabulous full-scale Iceland terrain.
New texture is 4x higher resolution and better matches the underlying forestal tiles, thus looks better.

(old trees texture used, also by me, is some hundred years old and fugly!)

To install simply unzip to your Iceland terrain folder, overwrite file.

    11. [Fictional] MiG-17PEV Fresco-C 'Abakarab'

      MiG-17PEV Fresco-C 'Abakarab'

      BACKGROUND HISTORY:

During the mid-50's the Parani Air Force needed to update its whole fleet regarding to future conflicts
with their neighbour the Kingdom of Dhimar.
Contacts were made with the Soviet government and a license to build the SU-7 under the name of P-207
      was bought.
But the SU-7 was still in development and Paran needed a modern jetfighter to face an inminent war with
      Dhimar.
They showed interest for the new MiG-17 which fitted very well in the Air Force needs and was been widely
exported to the allies of the USSR.
Instead of buying a license, they bought some MiG-17 squadrons. The soviets made a new version for Paran, the MiG-17PEV (Paran Export Version) which was basically a modified MiG-17F. It was called 'Abakarab' (Skorpion) by the Parani pilots.
In this version the radar has been removed, the strenght of the wings have been enforced to give the
aircraft more maneuverability, an the three 30mm cannons have been replaced by three 20 mm machine guns with 200 rounds each.
The Skorpion showed its excellent quality in the conflicts against Dhimar where it shot down many
US and Dhimari fighters. It was also very useful and accurate in air to ground missions.

Just drop the contents of the folders in the proper SF2 folders in your computer.

    12. [Fictional] PAC P-207 Fitter-A 'Korosh'

      PAC P-207 Fitter-A 'Korosh'

      BACKGROUND HISTORY:

In 1960 the Parani Air Force requested a new fighter to replace their outdated Piranhas.
Contacts were made between the Parani and Soviet government and a license to build the new SU-7 fighter
was given to the Parani Aircraft Corporation (PAC). The designation of the under license built aircraft
was PAC P-207 called Korosh (Shark) by the Parani pilots. The NATO gave it the name of Fitter-A.
The new aircraft saw the combat for the first time in the war against Dhimar, and it proved that it was
an excelent plane in both air to air and air to ground missions.
It was produced massively and remained as the main Parani frontline fighter until the appearance of the
PAC-221. When the new fighter appeared the P-207 carried out missions of reconaissance and light bombing
until its retirement in middle 80's or early 90's.
It's believed that a little amount of this aircraft were sold to India.

As usual, PAC made some changes on the original design of the SU-7 to make it fit better in the Parani
      Air Force Needs.
The P-207 was lighter than the SU-7, the radar was removed, the fuel capacity was increased to cover
large distances over the desert, and the two 30 mm cannons were replaced by 2 20 mm machineguns with
250 rounds each. PAC also made the new plane capable of carrying up to 4 AA-2 Atoll making it the bes
fighter aircraft of the Middle East in the early 60's.
      AIRCRAFT:

This is a mod of the default SU-7 BMK. I have made changes in the weapons, characteristics and performance
      of the aircraft.

Thanks to ThirdWire for the superb models they have created.

Thanks also to Wrench and the people of the India/Pakistan Mod for the panel of the HAL Type 77 used in the PAC-207.

This mod is compatible with SF2, however it could be combatible with SF1 (not tested).

    13. [Fictional] PAC P-221 Fishbed-C 'Eledira'

      PAC P-221 Fishbed-C 'Eledira'

      BACKGROUND HISTORY:

In 1962 the Parani Aircraft Corporation (PAC) bought a license to the USSR to build their new fighter,
the MiG-21, regarding to future conflicts with its neighbour the Kingdom of Dhimar.
Due to the high construction price (too much for a recently defeated country), PAC decided to redesign
the MiG-21 to make it fit in the Parani Air Force needs.
They removed the radar, the IR missiles and all the armor, the 30mm cannon was replaced by a M161_A1
20mm machinegun with 500 rounds and more room for fuel was created.
The result was a very cheap, light and maneuverable day fighter which was faster and capable of a better
action range than the Russian ersion. It was very gentle and easy to fly for pilots with very few
      experience.
Parani pilots gave it the name of 'Eledira' which means Stingray due to its shape.
Its result in combat was so much better than expected and Dhimar was forced to buy more modern technology to the US to face this new threat.
      INSTALATION:

      1. Drop the content of the folders in the proper folders of SF2 in your computer.

      AIRCRAFT:

This is basically the default MiG-21 F-13 with some modifications such as the weapons and
      the performance.

On Sept 7 1995 the province of Quebec held a referendum to split away from the rest of Canada, in reality the final results were 50.5% to stay in Canada, and 49.5% to seperate....

      http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quebec_referendum,_1995

In this "what-if" scenario the results are reversed and Quebec has decided to seperate, some of the western provinces start the process to follow Quebec’s lead to form a Western Alliance of their own and the Canadian government is brought to it's knees.....there is a complete failure of Parliament and Canada is crumbling.

Meanwhile the Global Sedition forces see the opportunity to grab a foothold in Northwestern region in hopes to claim dominance of the Arctic region cutting off Alaska and opening up many doors for an all out move into North America.....

In an effort to stop the invasion the Canadian forces have combined with American, and British forces to try and stop this evil crusade

    17. New Dirty Exhaust Effects For SF2

New Dirty Exhaust Effects For SF2

      By NeverEnough

This exhaust effect was inspired by the work of Deuces, Fubar512 and Spillone104.

This exhaust effect is compatible with both SF2 and SFP1.

This New Dirty Exhaust Effects package includes a NewDirtyExhaustEmitter.ini which can be used to supplement the old DirtyExhaustEmitter.ini in your Effects folder for some additional exhaust effect variety.

The New Dirty Exhaust Effect will generate a longer and less dense exhaust plume than the Dirty Bird Exhaust Effect.

The New Dirty Exhaust Effect is configured so that it may be used in either single engine or multiple engine aircraft. The DirtySingleExhaustEmitter will produce slightly less exhaust volume than the DirtyDualExhaustEmitter when used on a dual engine aircraft if you want to decrease the volume of smoke signature for your multi-engine models.

If you wish to have a slightly more smokey single engine aircraft, you could utilize the DirtyDualExhaustEmitter in a single engine aircraft.

You can easily choose between the two effects to get whatever exhaust smoke trails happen to suit you!

Both of these exhaust effects can be applied to single, dual or multi-engined aircraft models.

This File is Freeware and can not be sold or included in any Payware software.

    18. ANG KC-135R Skins Part 3

ANG KC-135R StratoTanker Skins Part 3

Contained within this pack are skins for the following ANG units:

117th ARW - Alabama ANG. I found an online photo with a special 'Auburn' tail art on a Alabama ANG KC-135R from 2007.
126th ARW - Illinois ANG. I found a photo with updated Illinois ANG tail art on airfighters.com from 2011.
      121st ARW - Ohio ANG.

      Updated file for Iowa ANG:
I re-vamped the tail for this aircraft with a new font that closely resembles the actual tail on the 185th ARW's KC-135Rs.

      Installation:

      1) Unzip and place the Ohio ANG, Alabama ANG 2007 and Illinois ANG 2011 folders in your KC-135R main folder.

      2) Add the texture sets to your KC-135R.ini file.

      [TextureSetxxx]
      Directory=Illinois ANG 2011
      Name=126th ARW 2011

      Reflection=0.100000
      DecalNumberRandomize=TRUE
      DecalNumberStart=0
      DecalNumberEnd=16

Open the Iowa ANG tail folder contained in this pack, select the .bmp file in this folder. Open the Iowa ANG folder from the previous pack that you installed. Paste the new .bmp file in this pack in the folder from the previous pack, and allow for overwrite. This will replace the old file with the new (and better!) file.

      Thanks to the following:

      - TK and Thirdwire
      - 'Dave' for the following:
      - For the KC-135R model original release.
      - The 'ANG' on the tail and the ANG emblem on all of the skins were taken from the KC-135E model.
      - Due to lack of references on the tail numbers, all of the skins in this pack use the KC-135E tail numbers.

      - airliners.net, airfighters.com, and af.mil for skin references

      Happy Tanking!

    19. Dirty Bird Exhaust Effect For SF2

Dirty Bird Exhaust Effect For SF2

      By NeverEnough

This exhaust effect was inspired by the work of Deuces, Fubar512 and Spillone104.

After looking at lots of photos of the billowing smoke trails generated by the phantastic F-4 Phantom; I wanted to try to duplicate these big, greasy skidmarks in the sky.

The Dirty Bird Exhaust Effect is configured so that it may be used in either single engine or dual engine aircraft. The DBSingleExhaustEmitter will produce slightly more exhaust volume than the DBDualExhaustEmitter when used on a dual engine aircraft if you really want to accelerate global warming.

If you wish to have a slightly less smokey single engine aircraft, you could utilize the DBDualExhaustEmitter in a single engine aircraft.

This exhaust effect is compatible with both SF2 and SFP1.

Also included in the Dirty Bird Exhaust Effect package, is a particularly striking loading screen of the dirty end of a West German F-4F Phantom.

This File is Freeware and can not be sold or included in any Payware software.

    22. ANG C-130H Skins

      ANG C-130H Hercules Skins

Contained within this pack are skins for the following ANG units:

      179th AW - Ohio ANG
      133rd AW - Minnesota ANG
      153rd AW - Wyoming ANG
130th AW - West Virginia ANG
143rd AW - Rhode Island ANG
      166th AW - Delaware ANG
      165th AW - Georgia ANG
      182nd AW - Illinois ANG
      136th AW - Texas ANG
      176th WG - Alask ANG

      Installation:

      1) Unzip and place the folders in your C-130H main folder

      2) Add the texture sets to your C-130H.ini file

      3) Fly away!

All of the artwork is to the best of my abilities. The Wyoming ANG tail band has a cowboy decal on the actual aircraft, but I was unable to design a suitable decal on the tail, so I left it off. Also, the Rhode Island tailwork is actually on a C-130J model, but I didn't find that out until after I designed the skin, so I included it anyways. Feel free to not install if you so choose.
