SF2 WW2 ETO Fw-200 Condor Pak
-- Something for the WW2 ETO players --
= For SF2 ONLY, Full-5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred) =
**Note: Have a full-5 merged instal is reccomended, as the destroyed model referenced here reaches around to the stock destroyed AN-12. Also, due to modifications to various inis, this mod will probably -NOT- work in 06 level 1stGen game installs. 08 Level 1stGens may have some issues, but this has not/cannot be tested by me.**
This is a reissue of Veltro2K's Fw-200 "Condor" Maritime Patrol/Strike bomber. It has been partly reskinned and redecaled (KG.40 skin only) and had some tweeking done. The data ini contains several "SF2NA" only statements for Naval Strike and Naval Search. Be advised, a Full-5 Merged ETO mods folder, built FROM the SF2NA exe is reccomended!!
Skins remain in their original bmp format; new code letter decals (26; far more than usual Luftwaffe usage) and several NA-style ini tweeks. Decal randomization is TRUE. The KG.40-1 skin (wavy camo) remains as originall done by ?, and has no code letters. Other skinners are invited to 'fill in the blanks'.
Engine sounds, pilot figures, BRAND new Hangar and Loading screens (in SF2 jpg format) are included. Bombs are not; you should have them already. Operational service dates are rounded to 'whole years'.
As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. PLEASE read them!!! PLEASE read the "Notes" section for the change list, and other important notations. Also, the Legal Statement has been changed with regards to this aircraft.
For those that still have the original releases, it's advised you delete the aircraft and decals folders for them; this pak is desinged to replace them in total.
**These aircraft herein are released in "AS IS" Condition. The source files have been lost, and there can and WILL be no modifications to the physical model. They 'are as they is' and you must accept them with this caveat in mind. Any and all issues/problems that cannot be solved via ini edits will exist forever, as new models are unlikely to be created**

SF2 WW2 ETO Westland Whirlwind Mk.1 Pak
-- Something for the WW2 ETO players --
= For SF2 ONLY, Full-5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred) =
This pak contains a reissue of Veltro2K's WW2 Royal Air Force fighter/bomber aircraft. These are the complete aircraft, with various/sundry changes. Remember, this is the WW2 fighter, NOT the helicopter!!!
This pak contains the original 3 skins representing...
263 Squadron, in early 1940 camo (dark earth/green)
263 Squadron, in 1941-ish camo (medium sea grey/green)
137 Squadron, (also in the MSG/Gr)
The skins remain in their original bmp format. All new decals have been created for Squadron Codes, plane-in-group letters, and serial numbers. Serial numbers should be considered 'generic' in nature, as they represent no particular squadron affiliation, but ARE correct for the Whirly. Decal randomization is set to TRUE.
The late RAF MSG/Gr camo skins use the "DefaultStartDate" switch to activiate in Nov, 1941. Operational Service Dates are rounded to the closest whole month.
All new Hangar and Loading screens, in jpg format, are included, as are new damage textures in DDS format.
New engine sound, pilot figure and the drop tanks are also included. Guns and Bombs are not; they're the standard "RAF" bombs, that you should already have. The canopy operates via the Standard Animation Keystroke , Shift/0.
The flight model is (slightly) more SF2-compliant than the original, but as always NEEDS further work by 'those with the know-how'.
As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. PLEASE read them!!! PLEASE read the "Notes" section for the change list, and other important notations. Also, the Legal Statement has been changed with regards to this aircraft.
For those that still have the original releases, it's advised you delete the aircraft and decals folders for them; this pak is desinged to replace them in total..
**The aircraft herein are released in "AS IS" Condition. There are some issues with the LOD that cannot be resolved. Period. Any and all issues/problems that cannot be solved via ini edits will exist forever, as new models are unlikely to be created**.

SF2 WW2 ETO BoB Hurricane 1A, 303 Squadron Skin
-- Something for the WW2 ETO players --
= For SF2 ONLY, Full-4/5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred) =
*Note: it's quite possible it can be used in 1stGens, but this has not been tested. Those that
do, well, let me know if worked!! <grin>**
This pak contains the decals necessary to (re)create the Hurricane Mk.1A as used by No. 303
Squadron (Polish) during the Battle of Britain.
This ini/decal pak (as there's no skin included) is for Raven's Mk.1, available at the
following url:
http://combatace.com/files/file/13646-sf2-ww2-hawker-hurricane-ia-etobob-by-raven/
As stated in the original aircraft release, it uses Brain32's "Multiple Use Skin Trik", and
references the skin maps and other decals included in the above pak. Therefore, NO skin maps
are included in THIS pak. So, you MUST have the original aircraft listed above to add this pack
to.
All that's really included in this pak are the inis, Squadron Code letter and squadron badge
decals. Decal randomization is set to TRUE.
As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. PLEASE read
them!!!

SF2 WW2 ETO Spitfire 1A, 603 Squadron Skin Pak
-- Something for the WW2 ETO players --
= For SF2 ONLY, Full-5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred) =
A new skin for the TMF/ModMafia Spitfire Mk.1A, representing 603 "City of Edinburgh" Squadron around the time of the Battle of Britain.
Like the original release of the TMF/MM Spit 1, it uses a pool of plane-in-group letters and serial numbers, so you MUST have to original release of the TMF/MM Spitfire Mk.1a to apply this pack to. The only thing different is the squadron code decal, XT.
If you don't have this Spitfire, it's available at the following url:
http://combatace.com/files/file/13510-sf2-ww2-spitfire-mk1a-by-mod-mafiatmf/
The skin is in jpg format, Decal Randomization is TRUE.
As always, fairly easy to follow, detailed install instructions are included. So, please READ them
REMINDER: this is for the TMF/MM Spit 1 ONLY!!!
Happy Landings!!

SF2 WW2 B-24J PTO Skins/Decals Pak
-- Something for the PTO players --
= For SF2, Full-5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred) =
A new set of Theatre-specific skins for the B-24J Liberator by pasko.
It is designed for use on the recenly release SF2-ish B-24J mod, available at the following
url:
http://combatace.com/files/file/13846-sf2-ww2-b-24j-liberator-eto-pak/
Obviously, you'll NOT be using the ETO skins in the Pacific.
Skins included in this pak are:
320 BS, 90th BG (OD/Grey), 5th AF - Jolly Rogers
371 BS, 307 BG (Natural Metal) 13th AF - The Long Rangers
The skins are brand new, from my Home Grown Template , and is in jpg format.Decal
randomization is set to TRUE. There are NO nose arts.
Serial numbers on 320th are 'generic' in nature, but represent J models. Serials marked with a
* (star) on the 371st ARE actual aircraft assigned to that squadron. Unfortunately, the only
listing I found was for aircraft 'lost on operations'. Remember that, and Honor Their Memory.
As these skins =ARE= Theatre specific to the Pacific regions, you'll have to do some editing
after installing to the B-24J in your PTO-centric mods folder, and remove or rename the ETO/MTO
skins.
As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. So, please
read them. Also, give the "Notes" section a glance

Discussion and screenshots here
NOTICES :
This mod is NOT released under the Combat Ace Freeware Licensing Agreement (http://combatace.com/topic/55729-freeware-licensing/) as it includes content NOT subjected to it.
The only content you can reuse freely following the CA Freeware Licensing are the SKINS and DECALS as they are my creation based on freely released template or from scratch;
For all the rest you MUST contact the original author beforehand.
----------------------------------
PREREQUISITES :
To my knowledge you only need SF2:E, however you might also need the Exp2, if you have finflashes not showing, just tell me and I'll include mine rather than using TW's.
This should work without trouble with NATO Fighters 5 (however the versions already included in NF5 have a slightly different file organization and naming convention).
This mod should not rewrite anything except itself and the relevant campaign files.
----------------------------------
GLOBAL NOTES :
All planes marked with a * in the numbers list are considered historically correct, all others are as correct as sources allow, at worst they come from the pool of planes available to the nation in the given timeframe and bear possibly existing squadron numbers.
There's a topic on CA (http://combatace.com/topic/68436-rf-84f-thunderflash-request-for-information-and-superpack-wip/) tracking my progress and meant to receive any feedback and information you might want to share.
----------------------------------
NOTES FOR 1956 :
The Suez and Norwegian skins are bonuses and not useful for a Europe '56 campaign.
I initially planned of including slightly anachronistic camouflage versions for Belgium and Netherlands, however, given the time needed for the operation and the fact that the campaign takes place in the heart of winter, camouflage would have made no sense.
If you feel the need to properly install the Squadrons, you should add the following to your SQUADRONLIST.INI (if they squadrons are not already there), but everything is set up to work without it.

FRANCE, SUEZ
All serial numbers involved in Suez are correct, 8 squadron numbers are attributed to the proper plane, 3 were used at Akrotiri but randomly assigned, the rest are randomly chosen from the most probable squadron numbers at the time.
FRANCE
French RF-84F in late 1956 would have been stationned at Cognac, but would probably have been detached in Alsace or Germany in case of conflict, one squadron relieving the previous, given the involvement in Operation 700 and the readiness of the squadrons in late 1956, the order of detachement would have been ER 2/33 first then ER 3/33 and finally ER 1/33 (remember, the last planes reached France from Cyprus in late December, and the last ground personnel and equipment in early January 1957, so even accounting for a rushed move, the attrition of planes and personnel would mean they'd probably take no part in the conflict unless it lasted into the Spring of 1957).
US
3 or 4 stripes of different colors denote a plane assigned to the Wing Commander, 2 stripes or the same color to the Squadron Leader and 1 stripe to a Flight Leader.
----------------------------------
OPTIONAL ASSEMBLY REQUIRED :
These planes are meant to use specific pilots however this is strictly optional, if you don't add them, the game will use the default pilot, so it's only a matter of adding more pilot variety and a more authentic feel to things.
To respect the LOD author's wish not to have a situation where his work might be unknowingly used without proper attribution or worse you'll have to download the pilots separately or as part of the packs in which they are bundled.
All are based on Old Diego's pilot, with skins by Corktip14 for the French version, ravenclaw_007 for the German ones.
For USAF and ROCAF planes, you'll need the KUSAF01 pilot from Diego's pilot pack : http://combatace.com/files/file/9197-diegos-pilot-pack/
For French planes, you'll need the Guen312 pilot from the Israel 48/56 mod : http://combatace.com/files/file/11024-1948-war-for-independence1956-suez-crisis/
For German planes, you'll need the PilotGAF pilot from the German Pilots pack : http://combatace.com/files/file/9210-german-air-force-pilot%C2%B4s/
For other planes, you'll need the Euro001 pilot included with NATO Fighters 4+ Update 1 : http://combatace.com/files/file/11099-nato-fighters-4-patch-post-dec-2009-patch-level/

UPDATING YOUR FORMOSA FREEDOM CAMPAIGN v1.1
The necessary campaign files have been modified to add the Taiwanese RF-84F, just overwrite the original files.
Due to JonathanRL's way of implementing squadrons (without a proper squadron list) I've had to use a specific variant for Taiwan rather than use it as a skin for the US variant, as should be.
It also means that unless you add the squadrons properly, the ROCAF 4th CRS will appear show up as a USAF unit (without impact on anything else than text displayed on the loadout screen).
It was the best compromise to be both working with Formosa Freedom and still be compatible with the standard implementation.
At the moment I'm not interested in providing a package solely for that purpose.
----------------------------------
UPDATING YOUR 1956 SUEZ CRISIS CAMPAIGN v2.1
The necessary campaign files have been modified to use the updated RF-84F, just overwrite the original files.
Be aware that it will leave the RF-84F using my old naming convention in place, it's up to you to delete it if it creates confusion in single mission play.
At the moment I'm not interested in providing a package solely for that purpose.
----------------------------------

----------------------------------
KNOWN ISSUES :
- The spoilers are not part of the model and are only painted on.
- The brake chute fairing is there even on early models.
- Some skins are not "right" due to subtle mapping problems and a model not 100% accurate.
- Some parts inherit the global skin lighting values instead of having these set to fixed values.
- There may be some decal bleeding on lower visual settings as in some cases I only leave a 1 pixel margin.
----------------------------------
WHAT'S TO COME :
- Some more panel changes and details
- Normal and specular maps, maybe, when/if Florian has the time and motivation to do so
- 15th TRS and 45th TRS PACAF planes
- 1962 and 1968 European planes
- Greek, Turkish and Italian planes
- 1955, 1957 variants for USAFE, various others (French early camo trials, Luftwaffe WS50...)
- Templates and full documentation
- NF5 updates
- Version specific hangars and loading screens
- Integration of feedback

A huge thanks to all the modders allowing me to bundle their work with my skins or taking the time to explain why they'd rather not, to eburger68 for his work on NATO Fighters motivating me to get back to work and of course to CA and TK for a wonderful toy and the community to go with it.
If I forgot someone or believe I've included your work without proper credits, permissions or respect for your terms of use, do not hesitate to contact me on Combat Ace forums.
