3 pointsRe-hauling of the MS Types G and H over the last several days (see last post of the FM package thread) has also resulted in a complete FM now for the Bleriot XI - won't release the Bleriot FM until the model is completed but thought I'd post info. on it below anyway, since it's relevant to this thread. Happy holidays all, Von S

2 pointsFirst crack at new curved wing mesh and first draft of experimental texturing (weathering and beveled/drop shadow wing struts but "squares" not yet symmetrical, etc.). Still not sure if I like the technique so will keep messing around with it a bit more and welcome improvement suggestions.

2 pointsI have been having this problem with modeling the TB2, by mistake I applied Xform modifier after rotating the object then it was hard to work with object (as the pivet point not withen the box) as the bounding box no longer matching the part. After searching I found this script and decide to share it with you, I hope it will help someone some day if needed. link to script: Fit Bounding Box Just in case you don't find it anymore in the site fitboundingbox_v1.0.ms

1 pointHello and Happy Happy Holidays to everyone, I wanted to take a moment and wish you all a blessed holiday season with happiness and health for you and your family throughout the new year to come in 2021. It's times like these that we look back in amazement and disbelief of the times we're living in. 2020 was hard on everyone and if things could go wrong it went wrong in 2020 with Corona Virus and Politics being front and center here in the United States. We've now spent months away from family and friends in isolation as we have learned to live in our new normal. These are unprecedented times that I for one will never be happier to put behind us. 2020 was especially hard for businesses and I feel fortunate that CA survived for now. Over all our donations last year brought in $615 to offset operating costs, thank you to all who helped out. Our advertising dwindled to almost nothing, specifically we received 28% of what we made in 2019 for advertising income as advertisers ran from expenses and businesses failed. Our subscriptions saw the lowest year on record and our cost of doing business went up 9.5% in July as costs of failing businesses got passed on to those of us who remained. This was definitely the year not to remember yet still with all the horror and red ink we consider ourselves lucky to still be standing. Yes it was bad for CA but there are many of us who saw worse times this year. People stood in voting lines and food lines here in America during a pandemic for the first time ever. We lost loved ones around the globe as we were divided with fear and misinformation. Jobs and businesses were lost all over our countries leaving tomorrow uncertain for many but throughout it all in a weird way we found some humanity. We reached out and helped where we could and lifted lives and spirits, I hope that continues. In the spirit of giving this season CA will be donating to Feeding America, Covenant House BC, The Trussell Trust UK, Banques Alimentaires FR, Tafel Deutschland, Leket Israel, and UNICEF to help feed those who need the assistance this winter. I wish we could do more but we're hoping doing our small part contributing to the whole is what matters. Merry Christmas everyone, E

1 pointI have uploaded two additional versions of the Sopwith Triplane. Ojcar tweaked the FMs of the original Tripe to reflect differences in the planes. The early version has a wider tail plane and a 110hp engine. It's a little more sluggish, especially in the climb, but still a very nimble machine. I have included two skins and my skinning templates. The cockpit is the same as my original Triplane. The dual gun version is a little nose heavy in maneuvers, but still flies well. I have included a skin, with appropriate decals, for the "Black Flight" of the RNAS 10 squadron. I made a new cockpit for this plane.

1 pointMini ver. 9.96 FM "package" included here for download: Dec. 25, 2020 (revised Jan. 5) - Includes overhauled FMs of the MS Type G (60 hp) and MS Type H (70-80 hp) for the relevant theaters in which those were used. Also find included slightly updated paints/skins for the Types G and H (located inside the skins folder for the middle eastern theater). These overhauled FMs came about through extensive testing of the 25 and 45 hp "trainer" variants of the Type G that I included with one of the earlier FM packs (ver. 9.1). Have now "retired" those trainer types since they were largely test-beds for early war flight models. Accumulated tweaks have resulted in major overhauls of the Types G and H - and have also resulted in a completed FM for the Bleriot XI (based on the 60 hp MS Type G and reworked) - Bleriot FM not included with this package since that awaits completion of the Bleriot model. Rev. 2 of this package includes fixed rolling coefficients for left/right wheels on the MS types G and H, which gets rid of perpetual roll upon dead-stick landing, with full down elevator held. Happy holidays and happy flying, Von S EDIT: removed download package - now included in the big, ver. 10.0 FM/realism package.

1 pointThe famous World War One Flying Ace comes to First Eagles. Snoopy. perched on his "Sopwith Camel" features an animated scarf, movable head, and a machine gun mounted in the "fuselage." He comes with one skin and a damage decal to show bullet holes when he's hit. There is also a Cockpit View. I only tested him in "Easy" mode. Handling, especially takeoffs and landings, may be hazardous in other modes. Credits Snoopy was created by cartoonist Charles Schulz in 1950. His first appearance as the WWI flying ace was in 1965. Snoopy and the other Peanuts cartoon characters are owned by Peanuts Worldwide LLC. Installation Instructions For both FE and FE2 - Unzip the file and copy the folder named "Snoopy" into your "Objects/Aircraft" folder. FlyableSnoopy.zip
