Simple skin pack with a few sets of skins for Navy versions of A-7 Corsair II - A/B/C/E and E_74. Basic modding skills are required to run this mod. (copy/paste, mod folder structure etc.) It is designed for and works only in SF2 series. To run this mod you need also access to TW lod files from SF2 Series. *.ini files for loadout, avionics, cockpit, or aircraft data - not included. Skins cover the years 1970-1982 for the Atlantic and Pacific Fleet. The pack did not cover Vietnam War CVW deployments. Pack contains skins and decals. I have included also decals from the upcoming pack for low-viz SLUF. This way it is simpler for me, all decals are in one place, save time, and will not harm anything. Skins sets are made in pairs - two squadrons for CVW for a specific year. I could not find all proper BuNo / Modex but I am considering this as ongoing work in progress, so one day if I will learn something new there will be an update. Also, not all squadrons have CAG markings, sometimes i could not find info on markings...so I left it, again there might be an update if new info appears. I believe that pack after unp[backing is around 2GB. So make some space for SLUF. All skins, new bump maps, specular and decals are made by me. Decals are made by me...but I think I have used one or two decals from MAKOTO pack (VA-192?) report bugs. enjoy. Jarek Hereda. P.S. This is huge, a lot of copy-paste for me, all decals.ini, textur.ini, etc...So if you will find that one decal is not showing up or something...just check first - maybe there is some bug in *.ini file. Fix, post solution, etc... So others can benefit from your fix. 3 pointslittle off-topic but again this comes to my mind...as you speak about colors. We could use CA-color standard, a sort of reference with common colors that modders could pick. Then we can have standardized colors for particular armies, air forces. As for now, we have dozens of Euro-1, SEA not to mention RAF patterns, etc. each differs from the other in color saturation. That is what I am doing in my own install if I have access to free time and templates.

EmlD Nieuport 24E (trainer) "Issoudun Nieuport series" for First Eagles 2 This is a full aircraft type, trying to represent the trainer Nieuports used by United States at Issoudun. "Issoudun Nieuport series" a set of several Nieuports used by the United States to train pilots during WW1 in France at Issoudun airdrome. Many of these Nieuports had very atypical painting schemes, between them, two with fish scales were "The Jazbo" And the "Flying Fish" (also called the "Dragon ship" or "Gwynne's Goldfish") and several others. Also these were considered "special ships" and representative of their unit. Often they were just for formation flying. Each crew tried to keep these bird primed for inspection. At Field eight there were multiple single coloured Nieuport 24 types used as aggressors for camera armed dogfights so a student could prove he had gotten his opponent. I gathered most of them in this series of skins. This first pack features EmlD Nieuports 24 that I renamed Nieuport 24E (trainer). You will find several versions for some of the planes with different colors at your choice. ** What you will find in this Nieuport 24 Pack: - Eight (8) Nieuport 24 Skins in several versions & Colors options. All used by 3rd Air Instructional Center (3rd AIC) at Issoudun France. 1- Two (2) Nieuport 24 flown by pilots 0f 31st Aero Squadron. 2- Four (4) Nieuport 24 of unknown squadrons used by "3rd AIC" at Issoudun. (several versions) 3- Two (2) Nieuport 24 of of unknown squadrons photographed at Pruniers airfield, Romorantin, France. 4- Geezer pilot figure new textures (US Pilot) that I painted to be used with Geezer's "wwiPilotNew3". The LODs are adjusted to use JPG textures but I included a folder with the BMPs files for First Eagles 1 users. You will find (4) four layout options. The new texture has a "US UNIFORM" as standard layout. 2 pointsMost US vehicles had a special light control unit that allowed you to select what happens with the lights, so they weren't turned on while at a firebase or along the road. I don't remember the settings but there are tactical ones for the white lights too.

1 pointwell, thats the nice thing about being a cook; you aint getting fed even MREs unless i have some kind of vehicle. i will say though that my FA time saw alot more regular soldiering than my time with signal. Guard, QRF, rolling with LOGPAC when one of the battery's supply trucks were down and killing the burners for breakfast to join stand to. Signal pretty much left us alone so long as chow was good

1 pointYeah I was a forward observer so when I was in HHB 1-82 FA I saw them in the motor pool, and never got too close to them or messed with them. I messed with the light control unit (was universal on all vehicles if my mind serves me right) but it's been some time since I've been out, which was 8 years ago.

1 pointThank you for the information gent, this is where I got the information from for the front lights there are more photos on the net like it. on a side note, I think the dark light is infrared lights so they will be used in combat. I think this one on combat I think

1 pointA note on lights/lamps/etc: While nice eye-catching details, they wont be like that on vehicles in a tactical/combat setting or operation. Every vehicle has covers (made of fabric, usually) for all the lamps/lights, the rearview mirrors are folded down or removed. These things are "wrong" from a tactical point of view on many of the SF-world GO's/vehicles.

1 pointits a nice idea, but impractical one because mix ups through history create non standard mix ups (look as SEA Phantoms in the 70s with the pale green in place of tan on some, the mismatch colors on C-5s in the early 90s, faded paints all over when budgets were tight) also an issue , the modders themselves. present a complete system to a hundred modders and 70 will declare it good. 5 will explain why its not in their opinion. 25 will say nothing. of those 70, 15 will actually use it. 3 will ask a year later if there is such a system. and five will not like it, and do theyre own. best bet is to refer as much as possible to FS 595 (the US governments color guide), RAL (color guide for the european colors) and whatever such guide there is for the Russian birds. to boot, if you were to say google "FS36081 hex" youd get the number to plug into PS or Gimp for use ( 5b5e5f for my example). i know there is such a guide for FS 595 with the color and the hex and RGB values. pretty sure theres one for RAL as well back on topic, those look great GKABS. had me worried on the first pic of tan, but the wrap up looks good

I set up the mission to be a simple intercept of the Airbus (actually the 'real' mission was to intercept a Tu-95 on a recon run off the North Sea coast but I set up a couple of F-15Cs out of Lakenheath to take care of that). The story was that the airliner's navigation equipment had gone down and we would form up on it and lead it down through the clouds and onto the runway. I was as surprised as anyone when I got in visual range, and the flyby to check over the airliner was real. I re-wrote the story in my head on the fly as I tracked the Airbus down and over London until it landed. Funny thing is I've flown the mission a few more times since then because I thought I had set something wrong, maybe with the airliner dropping below stall speed, and it has been absolutely fine... Maybe TK programmed in a secret setting - RandomCatastrophicMishap=TRUE

1 pointAs QRA at RAF Coningsby we scrambled into a typically English overcast late Autumn morning... Contact had been lost with an Austrian Airlines flight from Vienna to London, Heathrow. ATC was still tracking it and although it was on course it was in a shallow descent someway before it was due to lose altitude and commence approach. We were given permission to go supersonic and made our approach to the Airbus from the rear.. It started a turn, again keeping to it's assigned course, but still descending, and we rolled to turn with it before continuing to close.. My wingman was the first to notice. 'Something doesn't look right about the configuration Lead..' 'It's the doors!' I gasped. ' All of the doors are open..' We made a slow pass, and sure enough all of the doors, passenger and cargo, had somehow opened. But how? A bomb? A mechanical fault? And what of the crew and passengers? As we passed the cockpit I spotted a torch flashing in morse code. E-L-E-C S-T-O-R-M || M-L-T-P-L L-I-G-H-T-N-G S-T-R-K-S || L-O-S-T P-R-S-R || P-S-G-R-S C-R-W O-N O-X-Y || L-N-D-G L-H-R A-S-A-P|| I passed the message to base: They had flown through an electrical storm and had suffered multiple lightning strikes. The aircraft's electric systems had obviously been affected which had caused the doors to unlock and blow open. This had caused a decompression (hence the shallow descent, to try to minimise the effects) and crew and passengers were on oxygen. They were intending to land at London Heathrow still. ATC took moments to digest this and the response was quick - get them to another airfield, but not Heathrow. The risk that this was a ruse for a terrorist attack was too great. Before I had a chance to reply to the airliner we dropped into the clouds and I called Two in closer as we stuck grimly to the Airbus, not wanting to lose sight of it in the descent.. As we dropped through the overcast I moved up and passed on the message to the airliner crew. Their response - N-C-D || L-H-R O-N-L-Y Querying base for orders we were told to to just stick with the Airbus and while investigations into the passengers and crew continued. If this was a terrorist attack or a madman in the pilot seat, would we be cleared to shoot down the airliner? We were running out of time, the aircraft was still descending and we were now coming up on populated areas. A shootdown now could cause catastrophic damage on the ground.. And then we were out of time for a decision, as we came over Central London, with visibility still poor in the low cloud and rain squalls... The Airbus lowered it's undercarriage slowly. They must be using some emergency method.. I closed to get a better look and signalled to the crew the wheels looked to be down OK. I dropped back to watch as the airliner made it's final approach. Orders were still to remain on standby to shoot it down if necessary. What did they expect us to do at this late stage? Strafe it on the runway? And then it was down and stopped on the runway. We pulled clear as emergency vehicles swarmed around it and a fleet of air ambulances were cleared in to begin ferrying the most severely hurt to hospitals. We didn't see any of that as we headed back to base, treating Londoners to a flyby as we crossed the capital again, although whether they could see us in the murky weather is debateable.. And home to a rainy afternoon, Maybe there'll be something good to watch on the telly...
