I suppose there are SOME advantages with having to rebuild your mod folder from scratch....... Before, it was a teensy weensy bit slow and bloated...... ....... now; I'm roughly halfway through the rebuild; and already I've got a leaner, sportier AND faster version of the old:

Its not really a MiG, its a S-105, the czech licence version of the MiG-19S. 104 planes were built. Some say all were used by the czechoslovakians, but others say, that some S-105 were sold to Egypt. The S-105 were of better quality than the soviet original planes. It was used between 1958 and 1972 by the Czechoslovakian Air Force. BTW the MiG-19 was called "Warzenschwein" (Warthog) by the East Germans.

Nice model. I like it. Only one remark. The early MiG-21 used round breakchutes. The breakchute in cross design came later. It was invented in East Germany, IIRC in the early 1970th. Here a picture of a MiG-21F-13 with round breakchute: With the MiG-21PF it was the same system.

There is a way to mitigate this if you take a flight of four to eight aircraft. Arm half your aircraft for air to air and half for air to ground. Be sure to keep your two flights with you until the enemy planes show up and then order the flight armed for air to air to attack them while the other flight attacks SAMs and AAA units that you target.

Hi Gents! It's been a little bit... I had to jump in and agree with Albrecht's statement. For any other developer, this would be a paid DLC pack, probably somewhere between 20 and 40 dollars in asking price. The fact that OBD is doing this for free... well it speaks to the devs that I've known for going on two decades. I'm not surprised, but I also will be donating to the cause as they keep working. And just in time for my new flight simming rig to arrive! (Turning 40 has its perks!). Hope the community is doing well - miss you all. Hope to be around more often!

This is in reaction to @Polovski's latest news post (HERE). https://www.overflandersfields.com/news.html All I can say is, if you look at what's being offered, this is game-changing. This is like being given an entirely new game altogether without having to pay a single cent extra. In the past, I've approached reconnaissance missions as "those fun scenery rides before you get serious in 1917 and become an ace fighter pilot." When V1.21 comes out, we're going to have a lot more options to be actively engaged in reconnaissance flights. I almost want my ace DiD pilot to snap his Nieuport's wings off in combat* (ok, maybe not) so I can get the full BE2c experience now - and that's not something I ever thought I'd be saying. Microsoft has conditioned me to generally despise updates. This is one I'm actually excited for.

mmmmm... By the way. it hppens only in generated quick missions starting "on air". If you do full flight with taking off, following turn points all is okay, escort fights with air targets. in companies and manually made missions, everything is always fine. If You dont Use ALT+N

yes, it's just a discouraging bug in the game. When this happens during the game, it also makes me very angry. I didn't find the reason. I would also like to find a way to solve this terrifying and depressing AI bug. And it always happens during some interesting mission. All SAMs have been cleared by you and your wingman. 5 minutes to the target! Bandits, bandits! missile launch! missile launch! And all your escort F-15s start suicidal firing cannons at Shilkas and all dies along with your bombers. And you are watching it with facepalm.

It is possible as you see in the screenshot. Different planes with different armament. In the loadout screen you can change the planes, so that you can have different planes in the flight. If you change the plane then the armament load is set to 0. You must select the armament for each plane by yourself. You can only select the weapons which are availabe for the first plane, what means if you have a mix between friendly and enemy planes in your flight, that some planes will have no weapons. The game will not automatically add the weapons of the first plane to other planes. Thats a game issue.

MiG-23ML of Jagdfliegergeschwader 9 "Heinrich Rau", home base Peenemünde. Yep, the same place where Werner von Braun built the V-2 missiles.

To give the Baltic States an own air defence capability Sweden handed over a couple of surplus SAAB JAS-39C. Here the latvian Gripen, and a pair of estonian and lithuanian Gripen over the Baltic Sea.

probably a mix of both, plus the Frogfoot isnt a featherweight either. later editions were developed with input from Soviet experience in Afghanistan (and in this case possibly Chechnya too)

After some tweaking got the Rafale F3R a bit better than the original setup. It flies nice and haven't trapped on it yet but it's growing a little bit on me..

You should adjust the direction of flare ejection. The MiG-29 is shooting the flares upward and not downward. So the flares are falling behind the jet engine exhausts and cover them. here are the lines: [Flare_Station1] SystemType=DECOY_DISPENSER EjectPosition= -1.669,-2.648,0.707 EjectVelocity= 0.0,-1.0,15.0 NumFlare=120 [Flare_Station2] SystemType=DECOY_DISPENSER EjectPosition= 1.675,-2.648,0.707 EjectVelocity= 0.0,1.0,15.0 NumFlare=120 and so it looks in game:

This is a major overhaul of Thirdwires stock Germany terrain for Strike Fighters 2 Europe. This mod includes Starys wonderfull GermanyCE hires terrain textures V3 with some small tweaks like grey painted roads or different river colors and a few new tiles. All airfields has been modified with new buildings . A couple are made from scratch. Try out Florians Pferdsfeld or Büchel airbases if you fly for the Nato. They are outstanding! Try Drewitz or Marxwalde or Gerwin field airfields if you are fighting for the Red side . Lots of strike targets has been modified or moved into towns. Hamburg and Wismar got real harbours and you find new objects all over the terrain. I also included hi ho silver's new city night textures and a modified ENVIRONMENTSYSTEM.INI as additional install if you want to fly night missions that looks like real nights. Special thanks to Ravenclaw_007 and 76.IAP-Blackbird. Both made some objects i realy needed for this rework and supported me to create this mod. Another Special thank to Gepard for his German airfields mod. And a special thank to Florian who made the best looking airfields i've ever seen in any Sim! And i want to thank all creators who made all the great objects i used for this mod. Without your work i would never had started this project. Thank you all! Rends
