Definitely WIP scaling of the Clansmen insignia on the tail. I have a set of decals that I believe that were scanned by Dave years ago, and somehow I found them, which in all honesty saved a lot of work. Frankly their high-res and thankfully saved some time on this skin. I have to do the NAVY and the carrier (USS John F Kennedy) but overall I should get it done later on today.

Decided to go with a VA-46 Clansmen in around 1990 or so. I think ODS (I'm quite sure they did) covered the Desert Storm birds so I don't feel like doing those (VA-72 I think it was that also participated in the operation). I'm trying to stay away from decals, but how it's mapped is forcing me to modify the TMF decals:

Republic P-43A-2 Lancer - No.1 Squadron, Royal Dhimari Air Force, 1942 Delays with the Pratt & Whitney R-2800 engine intended for the new P-47 Thunderbolt meant that orders were placed for an additional 200 P-43 Lancer fighter aircraft in order to keep the Republic production lines operating whilst waiting for P-47 production to start. Of this additional batch of 200 P-43 Lancers, 54 P-43's were allocated to the USAAC, 125 P-43A-1s were allocated to China (under the lend-lease program) with the balance of 21 aircraft being allocated to Dhimar as P-43A-2's. These were eagerly received by a desperate Royal Dhimari Air Force who wasted no time in re-equipping No.1 Squadron during the Spring of 1942 and also the High-Altitude Reconnaissance Flight where the P-43's excellent high-altitude performance enabled it to regularly fly above 40,000ft. In Dhimari service, the Lancer was well regarded and this led Royal Dhimari Air Force officials to push for P-47 Thunderbolts in preference to other types of fighter. Skin Credit: Charles

Yup, Wrench's Ponys are quite accurate. Checkers were present on some airframes, but never bothered to explore a topic more. Guess it is a post-war unit airframe) very early they have usually NG above the serial number on the tail fin. Somewhere around 1948 ANG above serial started to appear. Also in the immediate post-war era markings were usually applied on top/bottom wings, not on the fuselage. Some units started to display Star'n Bar on the fuselage around 1947. On fuselage around Star'n Bar first was NG (example TEX * NG) and then again around 1948 ANG...(TEX * ANG) On starboard top wing NG- plus last 3 serial numbers, and bottom port wing same This one has checkers like the 78th FG. - But checkers go nearly all the way to the windscreen. I would not rely on photographs of restored airframes/museum examples they tend to be quite inaccurate. As we all know.

A couple of things I'm working on here and there: - RAAF EA-18G Growler. I've seen some stuff online and trying to work on a RAAF Growler. It's a work in progress, but I have some things ready, such as pylons adapted for A2A missiles (seen some photos with some AIM-9X/AIM-120 rails). So far you can turn the Growler into a hybrid Jammer/fighter plane and it's completely legal, from an Aussie standpoint. Also, have to make some decals and so a 6SQN skin. - A-7E, may do a skin or two, depending on how I feel. And does anybody have the TMF A-7E (Late) template or similar lying around? I checked both SF1 and SF2 downloads and no joy. If somebody has some I'd appreciate it. If not I'll grudgingly make my own, or have to. I know there are TW A-7E available, but looking for TMF ones.

F-5E For Strike Fighters 2 "Early versions pack" Version History: v.1.0: First public release. Early versions without later refinements like RWR. DESCRIPTION: This addon can thank its release to the work of two talented individuals, FastCargo and BPao. FastCargo created the F-5F two seaters and BPao was the man behind the original Mirage Factory F-5E model. I was fortunate enough to get permission to work on these source models, with the goals of marrying the F-5E front section to the F-5F engine and wings which were quite a lot more detailed. It was supposed to be a quick project. One year later: I have completely reworked the F-5E nose, added a lot of stuff on the original fuselage and detailed both original templates to have higher detail textures. Meanwhile Sophocles graciously allowed me to use his superb F-5A cockpit as a basis to build my F-5E cockpit, in which I have also used parts based on FastCargos unfinished T-38 cockpit. Included is two versions of the earlier production F-5E: a basic version dubbed '72 and an export specific version with a larger vertical stabilizator and spine antenna. This version is dubbed '74L (L for large vertical stablizator). Happy flying! Mats "Centurion" Liljeroos FEATURES: SF2 standard external model 2048^2 textures with normal maps Realistic cockpit with avionics courtesy of Crusader FM from original MirageFactory F-5E which flies really good. OPERATORS COVERED IN THIS PACK: USAF Agressor USN Agressor Brazil Honduras Chile Marocco IRIAF Jordania South Korea Saudi Arabia Thailand South Vietnam North Vietnam (captured from VNAF) Ethiopia Kenya Indonesia Tunisia CREDITS: Bpao and Mirage Factory crew: Orginal F-5E model and templates FastCargo for original F-5F model EricJ and pappychecksix for original F-5F templates and textures Sophocles for his superb cockpit work. Every switch is a work of art. Crusader for his ini file magic, really makes the cockpit and plane come alive. Paulo for his mammoth decaling work which he allowed me to use. and even helped me by reworking some of it. Me for cobbling all this together (=texturing and modeling work) The rest of the Combat Ace community. Without you guys I would never have bothered to make it this far. INSTALATTION: Extract into mod folder of choice. This by and large replaces the old F-5E by TMF, so you can go ahead and delete the F-5E aircraft folder if you have it installed. NOTE: The _74L version references the _72 versions cockpit folder, so if you aim to use the 74L standalone in some installation, copy the cockpit folder and F-5E_72_cockpit.ini file from the _72 folder to the _74L folder. Overwrite. Stay tuned for more Tigers! This falls under the Combatace Freeware License Agreement.

View File VA-46 Clansmen, 1989-1991 For the TMF A-7E (Late) Corsair II This skin represents VA-46 before Desert Storm (1989-1990) timeframe. Given that most of the Operation Desert Storm A-7s are covered via the ODS mod I decided to try my hand at least one A-7 skin. All the folders are created so all you have to do is drop in your mod folder and go fly. Under the dropdown menu, it is under VA-46 Clansmen. Decals were modified from the original VA-66LV files and scanned decals I believe from Dave. For this A-7: Submitter EricJ Submitted 04/16/2023 Category A-7

since the pre-war Vindicators are starting to look pretty good, I thought I have a go at one of their hangar-mates Should have known better -- the exception to the rule is "everyone once and a while, you'll find a pasko model that DOESN'T have a decal bleed" This one IS the rule -- most do. Well, there's 3 days work down the singularity ... kcuf note to self --- talk a 3d modeler willing to build new Wildcats .....

also note the tailwheel doors are missing -- quite common in post-war mustangs

yeah, I was gonna say the tail serial number presentation is wrong. It should look like mine. All post-war ANG units, even into the jet age (see my ANG Sabres and T-Jets) carried teh "ANG" notation. makes me wonder about the authenticity of the checks ... what needed are actual period photos

looks nice was looking up some stuff, because i think that "High Rollers" logo didnt show until the Phantom era. in that search found this pic and you might want to pick up on the search. there were quite a few ANG Mustang pics under the image https://www.google.com/search?q=high+rollers+NVANG&client=firefox-b-1-d&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwj3ks2zpa3-AhV3lGoFHf9ADokQ0pQJegQIMxAC&biw=1536&bih=703&dpr=1.25#imgrc=tQumL5d4G2OePM

It's loading fine, just the wrong F-5E apparently. This is a gripe of mine, and also from Wrench (I do remember a post about it) that people need to show where and which aircraft it is. I can't help you because the F-5E isn't really popular with me so somebody will chime in. But it's about people not making sure they tell you which aircraft it's for. It's not hard and if you can take the time to do skins, annotating a readme with the information isn't that difficult and makes these posts not show up. But I would suggest removing the skins because it obviously isn't for that F-5E and possibly download the proper F-5E so you can enjoy them.

never released this one, as is basicly a overhaul of a pre-existing one. Made all new decals with the correct font and color. But the marking ARE 100% accurate (excepting serials - they're generic)

USAF skin pack for the stock Thirdwire A-10A by Jimbib *** Must have the stock A-10A_78 installed for this to work (included in SF2E, or SF2 Complete package) *** This is a simple skin pack that I started years ago for the stock A-10 in WoE and never got round to releasing it so I've updated the skins to reflect the mapping for the SF2E A-10A_78. These skins will work on both the stock A-10A and A-10A_78 (earlier A-10A doesn't have the Pave Penny). USAF skins included are: - Grey False Canopy - Peanut - Flipper - Cool Snow Hog - Euro Extras - I have included alternate Shark and Hog nose arts for the Grey False Canopy skin (default is set to the Snake art) Installation notes: 1. Unzip the contents to a folder. 2. Open up your Strike Fighters 2 mod folder (e.g. C:\User\Saved Games\ThirdWire\StrikeFighters2 Europe\...). 3. Copy the contents of the unzipped Objects folder into your SF2 mod Objects folder, allowing all files to overwrite if need be. This was tested on the latest July 2013 patch level on a stock SF2E install, I recommend you backup your stock A-10 files should anything go wrong, I am not responsible for any damage to your install / PC. You may not upload either the original or modified contents of this skin pack without my permission. If you wish to include these skins in a mod, please contact me here at CombatACE to discuss beforehand. This mod is freeware and may not in any way, shape or form be used in any payware. Jimbib

F-4E cockpit 1984 with out DMAS , for F-4E aircraft from 1984 onward with pave spike the F-4E 1984 DMAS version will take a bit more time because there are instruments where i can not find any pictures for it , so all i have for them is the drawing in the flight manual the shoot light color is a mystery to me so i selected a pale orange color because a white light at night would be a no go

I have repainted some parts of the tiles a second time. I replaced the motorway near the airfield with trees. The same i did with the small factory area, which you see in the left lower corner of the screenshot. The reason was to improve the look, so that it better fits with the neighbor tiles.

I have finished the both airfield tiles. The water is now blue. I relocated the Hippodrom racecourse, so that it is now completely on the tile. I hope you like it

So the coastline airport of Buenos Aires looks now: I still must do some paintshop work on the tile. The color of the water, for instance. Normaly it would be correct to paint all sea tiles in the brown color, which you see now on the tile, but for me the brownish water looks in game like desert, not like ocean.

Built as a successor to the PBM Mariner, it had better engines, an improved hull, and a single vertical fin tail. The P5M-1 was followed by 116 P5M-2 planes. These had a T-tail to put the tail surfaces out of the spray, an AN/ASQ-8 MAD boom at the rear of the tail-tip, no tail guns (the gun position replaced by he antenna for the AN/APN-122 Doppler Navigation Set), better crew accommodation, and an improved bow to reduce spray during takeoff and landing. WHAT'S IN: - 30 Skins (27 USN; 1 USCG; 2 MN) - decals / serial historical numbers by Squadron - loadout.tga image CREDITS: - A-TEAM original model - pappychksix original skins - paulopanz edited & new skins; decals, loadout.tga. ini edits TO INSTALL: - (*) you need P5M-R0c.lod from original A-TEAM Beta package or if you use the P5M-R1.lod from modern planes section you have to change P5M.ini like this: [LOD001] Filename=P5M-R1.LOD Distance=100 [LOD002] Filename=P5M-R1.LOD Distance=250 [LOD003] Filename=P5M-R1.LOD Distance=500 [LOD004] Filename=P5M-R1.LOD Distance=2000 [LOD005] Filename=P5M-R1.LOD Distance=15000 - put it inside AIRCRAFT/P5M folder - put all the new package in your SF-2 folder NOTES: I made this pack because I love this plane and hate texture painted serial numbers. The model I used is a beta and has some easy to fix mapping bugs (I could show), that I tried to mask as better I can, because as many others - I fear - it'll not be ever fixed. The realise lod has the same problems (unfixed bugs) as the beta so you can use both. Enjoy @ paulopanz
