I have been known to try it. It's like trying to nail water to a tree: messy & unproductive. He was dumb enough to come down here & get low and slow.

Glad I could be of assistance. Every now and then, I have to be reminded the F-104 is an Interceptor; not a dogfighter.

so i was trying to decide what unit/noseart to add for the loading screen on the E(82). then i discovered that this gem lasted exactly two days. the artist (who is also the author of the Painted Ladies books) went in and did it on a saturday. it went to the paint shop to be stripped and painted AMC grey on Monday, making it the "shortest lived nose art in the Air Force". and so a finalist for (82) was selected. (92) already has been picked since near the start of this project

Managed to trap the F-4B (67) after some guidance from Nightshade/PR. It's a bit different as last time I think I was just heavy and didn't drop full flaps (the Super Hornet/Growler spoils me with auto flaps), but this time I did. I came in fast as I don't have a speed indicator on the HUD so it makes it a bit hard to judge speed, but I made it without banging up the deck.

I'm going to make sure my latest version of BMS is backed up somewhere. If they try to improve the sim in the spirit of the original Falcon, more power to them. If they go the TW route and go all arcadey on me I will probably pass.

We've made it to #13! Will Rick Rawlings survive or will he finally fall before the guns of his enemy? To tell you the truth, I kinda forgot myself, it's been a while since I made this...

Putting the earlier Phantoms on the deck requires constant power inputs. Cutting back with the gear & hook down and flaps out, it bleeds speed and sinks at a prodigious rate, so you're constantly putting on and pulling off power to keep a steady approach and not stalling. I try and stay between 160-165 knots. It's a little fast, but I find I can control it better.

been a slow week for progress on...... mcuh of anything trying to wrap a portion of this that i promised someone. then final tweeks to the Jersey boys (and Chicago too) and this one might be ready and no, im probably not adding mission markings. the way its set up to get it all in, even the desert storm marking is really small (white thing below the unit patch)

I need to practice more with the F-4B, or any F-4 for that matter landing it on the deck.

Hello DA, If you are interested for skinning this later... I took these photos in 1994 at the Mérignac Air Base BA106 near Bordeaux city. This was the KC-135R #23577 named "Loaded Dice". Best regards, P.

Just the fact that there is a CCIP, instead of trying to bomb by guessing, which is the case with the F-111.
