10 pointsAlthough I am not entirely at liberty to release this...as it is based on a joint venture project also, I would prefer first, to finish the cockpit for it (and other zippers)... and some mingling with TMF... the new cockpit would be a challenge - and I have already a lot of challenges at the moment...so this is a very slow-cook project. and my very old project...somewhere I mentioned that I work on something with a name containing F and 8...(not F-8) Stary made a cockpit so in that matter it is "easy peasy" I also started Drakken a long time ago...but other more interesting projects came by then. Although I get past the wing section already.. But those are not 2-week projects. So if someone is in a hurry for a new model... I do not know how others work, but for me, every model is becoming very personal, I really need to read whatever books are available on aircraft ( which means sometimes I need to ask a lot of favors from family and friends to go "dig in old books" purchase and ship it to my place. Not to mention getting manuals and reading them back-to-back to understand how it all works when building a cockpit model. Then It is a pure pleasure to work on a model. Yes, you can buy a ready model (or download it free) and bing-bong-ta-da-dum export it for game standards. But this is not the same. And I always hope that the end user (player) will see the difference. live long and prosper.

3 pointsHello everyone! I spent all day working on F-89 series improved avionics textures and I am happy with the results! You can see big difference by going from 128 x 128 to 1024 x 1024: LEFT (128 x 128) vs RIGHT (1024 x 1024) In-game from F-89B to F-89J TW style version Eagle114th

2 pointsView File SF2 F-86F Sabre, 461st FDS, USAFE Skin Pack SF2 F-86F Sabre, 461st FDS, USAFE Skin Pack 11/27/2024 -For SF2, Any and All (Full Merged Recommended) This is a NEW (well, rebuilt) skin for the F-86F-40 Sabre. It is designed to be used on the SF2 F-86F-40 pack available here at CA. As this unit served in Europe (USAFE), it's recommended for a SF2:E installed Sabre. This set represents the 461st Fighter Day Squadron in approx 1956, when they use the "Euro Camo" (dark green/dark gray uppers, PRU blue unders). This skin will replace any earlier versions, as a small glitch at the aft wing root has finally been fixed and repainted. You get 24 historically accurate decals. Meaning: those marked with a star (*) have been postively ID'd as have been used by the 461st. All the others, marked with the cross/plus sign (+), while having served in the 36th Fighter Day Wing, could not associated with a particular squadron. The skin is in jpg format, and decal randomization is TRUE. The SF2 date switch is NOT used. A new skin specific Hangar Screen is also included. As the 461st is a 'stock' squadron, the squadron displayed name is activated via my (patent pending) fake SqTail decal. On the skin selection menu, on the Loadout Page, you'll see: 461st FDS, 36th FDW USAFE (Camo) As is always recommended, unzip to a temp folder or your desktop to give easy access to the rest of this readme for it's install instructions. Happy Landings! Wrench Kevin Stein Submitter Wrench Submitted 11/27/2024 Category F-86

2 pointsYes, I know, I did buy the DLC. The stock A-6A is good, the one by GKABS is way better. Hope you get my point

1 pointALl those yaw, pitch movements are related to the model (the easy part) as you have to set all axes correctly in 3d program, and to data ini. (pain in the a*s part) as sometimes you have to make "fake" components in data to have multiple turrets, independent movements, etc. Somehow it is hard for me to explain how you should exactly proceed. I have learned everything based on trial and error path. Not like I do not want to share my knowledge, just that there are many things you have to pay attention to, needless to say I would know where to start explaining. I still struggle when making some ground object mods - that is why I always refer to older working mods or simply to mods of others and then modify and test...You would not believe how many things guuruu improved just by - "let's check what this will do" If you check my BMPs from my Bonanza pack you will have a quite good idea of how things work. as for the rockets, missile launchers always have to face "front" of the vehicle (even if it is wrong for a model it does not matter - the game will fix everything - data ni (yaw/pitch angle rate, default angles, yaw/pitch limits etc)

1 pointMany thanks !!! The vintage current fighter taken in 2019 (BA120 Cazaux)

1 pointWell, I think the existing TMF tomcat is good enough, it just needs a better cockpit. I think it is possible to consider rebuilding the Chinese J-10 series and Flanker series, which will be helpful for building a modern warfare campaign mod.

1 pointHello everyone! After workingon F-106s and learned a lot from it, went bck to re-work on F-102 while adding TW style version to it as an optional feature. It is my goal to clean and fix any errors orr mess from my previous first attempts to create avioincs textures and diagrams. Here are improved radar scope with actual textures and optional TW style version: NOTE: I am showing Rambaz version. V2K have the same texture, so no need to show V2K version. F-102A with MG-3 FCS F-102A with MG-10 FCS Next project I am doing is to overhaul F-89 avionics before moving on next aircraft. Eagle114th

1 pointyes we do. I did it in 2019, and it's in the downloads section (F-104C_66)
-
1 point@EricJ and @Wrench Thank you for the feedback!, I'll do TW style too! I will add two files: TGA (for radar scope) and tweaked avionics that make green symbol less bright, so it matches TW settings. That way we have two versions: Historical and TW style radar scope. The TW version will be in folder "_OPTIONAL" for each aircraft. Eagle114th

1 pointYeah but even then I go to Turbo Squid to find something I want too and used a few of their models for projects for a couple of games. It's not a matter of laziness but being economical with time lol

1 pointshi..... youre a modeller bruh. i figure if you want one bad enough you'll make one
-
1 pointare you talking a fresh model, or looking at adjusting the H-60 model floating around here from angelP? as to FM's talk to guruu or yakarov79. theyre the resident rotary experts and if you made a non DAT H-47..... the Z-9 would be wickked too since its just a few steps to make a Dauphin from there....
-
1 pointI want to make a MH-60 mod for a long time, maybe call it Project B-Team I guess, and maybe not just make it ground object but also a functional bird? It is possible, but helicopter fm in sf2 make me headache. And then "B-Team" may include MH-47,Z-20,Z-9 some more series, of course. God,I need moooooooooooooooooore then 2 weeks.

1 pointM1A2 pack is almost done, I may just wait for some new bug appear, if there is no one,it is ready to go. Besides, im planning on some more ground object, mainly modern era stuffs.Wheels, Helis, etc. Below is a pic of ZTZ-99A, it has similar firepower and protection to M1A2: Below is a pic of Mengshi CSK-131,I plan to make it as an airport decoration.: And CM-34,Infantry Fighting Vehicle with 30mm MK44

1 pointi dunno. i see no escorts, and a fire coming out the middle of the deck like that means damage bad enough to possible knock weapon systems off line (ie reactor issues). but a Badger isnt the best for that all the same.. --------------- UTA 993 on approach for Tampa International....

1 pointHello everyone, Here is new (WIP) radar scope for MG-10 used in F-102A: I am still re-adjsuting the darkness level so the actual radar is readable. I am happy with how it come out. Eagle114th

1 pointHello everyone, What took me long time to at least finish one aircraft:s avionics and cockpit is due to researching and searching for the data on the radar. THe first step into any kind of projects is always the challenigng part.. When I get used to it, it will smoother. What i realized is that, an airborne radar from early era of cold wars are almost impossible to find, the specs of it. However, the only way I can find it is through aircraft manual. Unfortunatley I do not have all aircraft manual, such as T.O. 1F-89H-1A and T.O. 1f-89J-1A, so any radar data not yet obtained is an educcated guess based on the evolutionary and understanding the base functions of the radar. I always ledarn new things everyday. However, fortunately I am able to get the hand on F-89D manual that have information on Hughes E-9 ~ AN/APG-40 ~ AN/APA-84 FCS / Radar / Computer. This is WIP of F-89D with new N-9 optical sight and radar scope. Please note, unlke A-1C gunsight, N-9 is stationary opitcal sight that is used as back up, in case the radar is not operational. 1 pointUPDATE: To my surprise, there is a way to add radar cluster effects for early cold wawr aircraft radr with does not have "lok down" capability. I am experimenting with it:
