    I know this has been a long way, but finally, we are releasing the first variant for the swing wing Su-17 series. The Su-17 (Sans Suffix) is the first production swing wing series coming from the fixed wing Su-7 series, which has been in service since 1959. the plane still shared some common parts with the 7, like the tail (same as the Su-7BKL series) and fuselage fuel pipes, to mention some external ones. The same store payload (more or less) was hanging from 6 external hardpoints, all for unguided munitions, the only real advantage with the Su-7 series is the swing wings that shortened the takeoff and landing runs. Unless its predecessor this specific variant was not widely exported, only Egypt was provided with a few examples (named Su-17K). All squadrons and decals have been verified as historical, but errors may have been made, be nice to us (me) All of the mod folders have been arranged for you to drop them in the main game folder of your preference. Some weapons have been made from scratch, please review what you have and what you need. Some effects have been made, also, please back up what you have. Su-17K as mentioned above, will be released as separated for SF2:I Thanks to all who stayed this long with us to (hopefully) enjoy this release, we will work on the next variant as time allows, as they are in the final stages of release.     SF2 S2F-3S/S-2FE Tracker (Beta +) 11/12/2025 -For SF2 =ONLY= (Any & All, Full 4/5 Merged Recommended) Another "Found In The Archives" Job Found this while cleaning an external drive. I have no idea where I got it, when I got it, or who built it. I've checked with our South American brethren, and they weren't sure either, but support the decision to release it. It's a 'not quite' ready aircraft, with some mapping issues (like, some parts are unmapped), but otherwise in good shape. It flies fine (albeit a bit TOO overpowered and maneuverable, but otherwise just fine). Therefore, I've given it the rating of "Beta +". If anyone does know who built it , Please Let Me Know, and I'll update the credits. What we have here is a Grumman S2F-3S (SF2-E after 1962), and is VERY close to the G model. (See "Notes"). This is the later model, not the early type with the sensor pod on a pylon above the cockpit. The aircraft came with several skins, and of course I had to add more! Those marked with a star (*) are the original skins. Those unmarked, are by me. You'll have: US Navy: VS-21 "Fighting Red Tails" (Pacific 60-70) VS-37 "Sawbucks" (Pacific 61-73)* VS-28 "Hukkers" (Atlantic 60-69) VT-28 "Rangers" (60-79 TS-2A)* Argentine Navy: Escuadrilla Aeronaval Antisubmarina (Blue)(<1970)* Escuadrilla Aeronaval Antisubmarina (<1990)* Brazilian Navy: 1/1 Grupo de Aviacao Embarcada (P-16E)<1965)* Venezuela: Escuadron Antisubmarino (Ven <1970)* Royal Australian Navy: VS-816 NAS (RAN) (67-85) Generic Gull Gray/White* As can be seen, the SF2 Date Switch if active, and skins will change accordingly. The "Generic Skin" has been decaled for the USN, but with "fictional" markings. As all decal positions are now pre-plotted, other Texture Artists can easily make additional skins and decals The skin template is included; it's stored within the main aircraft folder. Nearly all marking are decals, with the exception of some national or squadron markings that are painted on due to a "lack of meshes" issue. All serials (BuNum for USN) have been matched as close as possible to their Modex numbers. Any numbers marked with the cross (Plus sign +) could not be matched to each other, but DID serve in the units assigned. In other words, nearly 100% historically correct. The BuNums for VT-28 are also correct, but as I couldn't find which were converted to the trainer, consider them 'generic' in nature. This mod uses (almost) all stock weapons. I've included the Mk.44 LWASW Torpedo, modifying it's service dates and exportation (after researching, of course). They work very well on Anti-shipping missions. All other weapons use stock 3W items. A new engine sound is also supplied (see "Notes" for install instructions) I've used the Standard Animation Keystrokes (tm), Shift/9 will fold the wings. Shift/0 (zero) will open the starboard side crew door. The MAD boom and belly radome extend automatically with landing gear retraction. It is fully Carrier Qualified, having been tested on USN, RAN, Argentine and Brazilian Navy CVs. On the Aircraft selection Dropdown on the Main Screen, you'll see: S2F-3S (S-2E) Tracker This will, of course, keep it differentiated from any other Stoofs that might be flying around. As is always recommended, unzip to a temp folder or your desktop to give easy access to the rest of this readme for it's install instructions. PLEASE read them, before installing!!! You will be adding a sound to your SoundList.ini, as SF2 has some weirdness with engine sounds (expecially in Win10/11). Please read the Notes section for other useless information, and (hopefully) full credits. Please also take note of changes in the Standard Disclaimer in the "Legal BS" section at the bottom.     TAV-8B Harrier II. Basic modding skills are required to run this mod. (copy/paste, mod folder structure, etc.) It is designed for and works only in the SF2 series. So after a few years of lazzynes... First of all...If you want to count rivets....Do not. Many things could be done another way....But I did it my way. So you have to bear with it. There are still some small issues with the flight model and generally aircraft handling, but FM is not my sandbox. All skins are in 3072x3072 format. If you have problems running this in-game. Resize skins to lower resolutions Three sets of skins represent different periods of usage by VMAT-203 All serials are correct and historically accurate. For some reason, I have added weapons that are present in Loadout.ini. But remember, this version was intended to be a training aircraft for the USMC. So, not much of the 'Mud mover' spirit. Animations: 1= canopy open - close Activating the hook will transfer you from the front to the back seat - be aware that when you change seats, you can not change back...At least in this version.. If you want to jump like crazy from one seat to another, you have to edit the data.ini file yourself - I will not be part of this madness.     Royal Norwegian Air Force Starfighters. This mod is not to compete with any previous packs. It is just my different approach. So before removing/overwriting any of the older stuff, test this one - as you may not like it. Basic modding skills are required to run this mod. (copy/paste, mod folder structure, etc.) Install: Copy and paste specific folders into the correct destination. In the game, under a prefix.LFV. * You will find F-104G / CF-104 that served in the Norwegian Air Force. * Luftforsvaret A fake pilot is required to run this mod. Also, the Thirdwire F-104 cockpit is required from the original game. Fuel tanks- Tanks are just ini files. The mod uses tanks that are part of an aircraft lod. Now mod uses an additional "no-fuel -no-tanks" loadout. Simply, If you want ot fly with a clean wing chose from the loadout dropdown menu option - no tanks. You need this specific weapon in the weapons folder. I have added some new pilot models, you can switch them easly in data.ini file, if you have such a desire. All skins are in 4096x4096 format. You can easily resize as needed. Decals represent historically correct serial numbers assigned to aircraft during their service in the Norwegian Air Force, for a specific year, squadron, etc. Historically, the first Norwegian starfighters were RF-104 versions, but without cameras, and during the first IRAN converted to F-104G type. Those airframes were only in a castrated RF configuration for a few months. Additionally, in 1965, three airframes arrived in Norway, but those three were built by Canadair. They were also in F-104G configuration and had all the remarks of F-104G, not CF-104. Also, those three were painted light grey. Not silver aluminium like previous birds. In this mod, I did not play so strictly with history, and all those 19 starfighters are F-104G with one silver paint. The first CF-104 arrived in Norway in 1973. All were formed in one 334 squadron, and carried a slightly different mission profile than the older F-104G. I could write a little more about history, but probably most of you will never read this or do not care about what I have written here.     EF2000 Typhoon Add-on February 13th, 2025 (1st Release) by GKABS, Bongodriver, ace888, compufat and Menrva >For Strike Fighters 2 games This is a complete add-on of the EF2000 Typhoon aircraft, featuring all of its Real World operators. The original model by Bongodriver has been overhauled by GKABS with additional details, including a proper PIRATE System built into the aircraft's 3d model. The package currently includes the following operators and relative skins produced by ace888, GKABS and compufat, with tweaks by yours truly where needed for quality consistency: -Royal Air Force, 15 skins -German Air Force, 14 skins -Italian Air Force, 9 skins -Spanish Air Force, 5 skins -Austrian Air Force, 2 skins -Royal Saudi Air Force, 2 skins -Kuwait Air Force, 2 skins -Qatar Emiri Air Force, 1 skin -Royal Air Force of Oman, 1 skin I further polished the package by adding historically accurate weapon loadouts for all operators throughout the years, my own selection of sounds, new cockpit and HUD textures and other smaller tweaks here and there. The incredibly detailed weapons included in the package are the courtesy of ravenclaw_07. Notes: -The aircraft folder is named "EF2000". In order to avoid mismatches and bugs of any sort, it's highly suggested to either remove or rename any pre-existing "EF2000" folder you might have. -You need to tweak the SoundList.ini file in order to fully experience any new sounds.     This is a 2 part pack, you WILL need both parts for it to work correctly. This is my version of a South East Asia terrain, it has been many years in the making but is still not complete or finished. But considering that my modding years are coming to an end I thought I'd release it anyway. The area north of the DMZ is a real mess target wise as it's an area I've never been interested in, I personally fly CAS/Armed-Recon in the Central Highlands area. This is a 250 meter map with 600+ tiles and TOD's so you need a fairly powerful machine to run it. There's over 450 new ground objects never been released before, all made by myself so any errors there are entirely down to me. Over the years I've got help and advice off dozens of different modders. They have been the inspiration for me to continue this far, so while they are too many to mention we should a remember that without the modding community this sim/game would of died many years ago. This package contains work and ideas from many of the great terrain experts. A great big THANK YOU to everyone I've worked with in the past. If you are new to the SF simming world, please don't bother whining and screaming about all the little oddities you may find that you don't like, just download the tools needed from here at CombatAce and fix them.     Bell AH-1G Cobra This is the 4th version of Cobra that I made. For now, I am done with this Snake. So, this is all new models, aircraft, cockpit, and weapons.     Royal Danish Air Force Starfighters. This mod offers my personal approach to the Kongelige Danske Flyvevåbnet F-104 series. It is not intended to replace or compete with other packs. And since I was updating some small stuff,I changed the approach to this mod. Now it contains 3 aircraft models. Early F-104G with C-2 seat, late variant with Martin-Baker seat, and CF-104. There are a few reasons why I changed it into 3 models. It is better that way, and in the near future, when I have the cockpit finished, it will be more accurate for each model. Mod also contains 3 new models for pilot and new seats, Lockheed C-2 and Martin-Baker DQ-7A All skins are in 4096x4096 format. You can easily resize as needed. Game Menu: In-game, aircraft are listed with the .KLu. prefix - Koninklijke Luchtmacht Fuel tanks- Tanks are just ini files. The mod uses tanks that are part of an aircraft lod. Now mod uses an additional no-fuel tanks loadout. Simply, If you want ot fly with a clean wing, choose from the loadout dropdown menu option - no tanks. You need this specific weapon in the weapons folder. I have added some new pilot models; you can switch them easily in data.ini file, if you have such a desire. Although iyt is important to remember that those pilots work well with the provided Lockheed C-2 seat. It was never tested in another configuration. All skins are in 4096x4096 format. You can easily resize as needed. Paint schemes and decals represent historically correct serial numbers assigned to aircraft during their service in the Netherlands Air Force, for a specific year, squadron, etc. Historically, the first Dutch starfighters were F-104G AWX versions operated by the 306th squadron, then passed to the 322nd and 323rd squadrons. In 1964, the first fighter-bomber variant was delivered to 311st squadron and a year later to the 312th squadron. In 1963, after transferring the AWX variant into the defence squadrons 306th squadron received its first RF-104G. Those airframes were used until 1974, when all remaining RF-104G were upgraded by removing the internal camera bay and equipping it with a new Orpheus recon pod. In-game you will have: F-104G '64 early fighter bomber variant. F-104G '77 late fighter-bomber variant with ALQ-126 ecm. F-104G AWX air defence fighter variant. RF-104G reconnaissance variant with internal camera bay. RF-104G(O) '74 Orpheus recon variant. RF-104G(O) '77 Orpheus recon variant with ALQ-126 ecm. The fighter-bomber variant is capable of delivering a special weapon. Known as nukes. Even if goverment will deny, they were training with imitation rounds. Anyway, after loading nuke, the M61 gun will be unloaded automatically. The plan was to use extra fuel loaded in gun/ammo bay but KLu did not practice that. But there is extra fuel cell in RF variant. RF-104(G) - were built on old RF airframes, and some were withdrawn from the air defence role F-04G. Over the time IRST window were closed up with a metal sheet. But not on all airframes. But here in-game, all RF-104G have the IRST window closed. I disabled radar in RF variants. It does not look good, I do not like it. But at least there is no radar. In fact, this is just a temporary solution. Cockpit in general is a temporary solution, along with cockpit and avionics files.     Feuerland alias Tierra del Fuego terrain 1.0 ***************************************************************************** ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ This terrain is written for SF2NA and SF2E or SF2I or SF2V. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ I. Short description: This terrain covers the south of South America and is focused on Tierra del Fuego. The timeframe of the terrain is from 1960 to 2030 It is a two nations map: Argentina and Chile. It is made as a NavalMap so that you can fly carrier missions against Chile. You can fly following missions: SWEEP,CAP,ESCORT,INTERCEPT,STRIKE,SEAD,ANTI_SHIP,RECON,CAS,ARMED_RECON The terrain works best in a separate South America installation, otherwise you will find a lot of soviet planes and FLAK. How to do a separate installation please look in the SF2 Knowledgebase in CombatAce forum. It is a fast made terrain with some issues: I have not checked the coastline, so you will surely find "water climbing the hill". The very most target areas are only populated with 1 warehose and 1 Flak. The complete area north of Tierra del Fuego i have not touched. The tileset i took from IslandNA terrain, which is outdated by todays standards. (256x256 pixel tileset instead modern 1024x1024) ********************************************************************************************* Use the terrain for own improvements. Feel free to modify this terrain. If you want to release your own improvments include that ReadMe file in your package and give me proper credit. Real Life got in the way and I cannot spare enough time for modding as I'd like. This aircraft add-on is far from perfect, there are issues with AI, the flight model physics, loadouts not being accurate as they should be, the cockpit being just wrong and mostly a textured screen, and on and on. If in the future someone provides better data fixing such issues, and/or newer 3d models for the aircraft and for the cockpit, then I may update this package and give it further care. Most of the F1C-200 were converted in F1CT but 12 were not and 11 stayed operational until the very end of service in 2002-2003, those in this mod. The disandvantage is that even if C/F are not loaded by the player, aircraft still have chaffs and flares dispensed from non-existing dispensers !     Simmers Paint Shop Color Chips 6/29/2025 With the loss of Simmers Paint Shop, a lot of fantastic information has been lost forever for those texture artists that like the ability to fully match the proper colors for any and (mostly) all eras and countries. Listed are not only the color chips, the the R/G/B and Hex values to (re)create them in your own image manipulation programs (GIMP, Photoshop, Paint.net, etc) These are given the US Federal Standard, and for Luftwaffe, the RLM converted to FS coding. I don't remember when I found these, but here they are. Included are the original png format images, and I've converted them to jpgs for easier viewing with various and sundry programs. Be advised, the images are QUITE large, so you'll need to zoom in on them. Included herein are chips for: Japan - IJN, IJAAF, JASDF Germany - Luftwaffe RLM/RAL UK - RAF British Standard Russia/Soviet Union - VVS colorlist USA - USAF, USN, US Army I hope you enjoy these, and make good use of them!!! If you don't have that mod, not to worry, everything -and MORE- is included in THIS one!!! ** This is a major overhaul of the stock 3rd Wire 1stGen O-1E Bird Dog with a new, functioning cockpit, all NEW skins from Brand New Home Grown Templates (tm), which are included within the main aircraft folder. All new semi-historically accurate serial numbers (meaning: generic in nature, representing no particular unit, but mostly correct for the time frames for each skins operational years and country assigned). All skins are now in jpg format, at 1024x1024. When discoverable, the read me for the original 1stGen skin is included with that skin folder. New pilot figures are used, too! Be advised, the US Army Aviation units depicted here are still tagged with "USAF" as their Nation of Origin. See "Notes" for adding US Army to you Nations.ini, if you aren't using DaddyAirplanes expanded one. You'll have to extract the Nations.ini, if you haven't already, and place it in you /Flight folder. You'll also have to edit the TextureSet ini for those skins, in either case. Again, instructions are below. You'll also be adding a new engine sound, and this will need to be added to the Sound list ini, so have that extracted (if you haven't already), and in the /Flight folder in you Mods Folder of choice (ie: SF2:V) Because there are several differing Bird Dogs wandering around, I've used a unique folder & displayed name to differentiate it from them.     SF2 North Cape Terrain Revamp 5/15/23 == For SF2, any and all, but designed with SF2:E in mind == *Please note, if you have the original, I suggest backing it up, simply for safety's sake. It will also archive it, for historical purposes.* This is a revamp of the North Cape terrain by Baltika. It has gone through a somewhat large rebuild, mostly to clean up and add "eye candy" to the airports and some of the other military targets. It still remains in the single 'winter' season. Ports have been upgraded with buildings, docked ships and other martime goodies. The movement ini has also been modified, with additional and/or re-routed routes. I've supplied a great number of GroundObjects, but you'll want to double check them after unzipping, to make sure you have everything before installing. Meaning: not everything has been supplied. Ground defenses (AAA & SAMs) use the generic tags (SAMLauncher, SAMRadar, etc), so there should be no problems with the GameEngine (tm) using what's in you Mods Folders.     ---------------- T28 FENNEC ------------------ This is my interpretation of a classic French plane by using YAP's T-28D, which is a courtesy of Andrea "Ralph" Richini, who gently authorized the use by Wrench's request. Let me explain why "T28" and not "T-28." Well, this is the original French designation, without a hyphen. Fennec came after a lovely desert fox. I tried to make it closest to the real thing, but the model does not reflect the real T28, as it has six pylons instead of four. I can live with that. I made "new" weaponry by changing and repainting old items as close as possible to the real ones. The squadrons were the most active ones in the Algerian conflict. The cockpit is new, made by "Oso" Juancho, and polished into a T-28 pit by removing some parts and making some external parts visible. It's not 100% real, but I did my best. Hope you like it! All necessary files are included. Just drop the content of each archive inside their respective ones in your game install. You can freely use it BUT remember to mention the YAP Team, the owner of the whole thing. Thanks to Ralph and Wrench to make it possible! Hats off!!

It has been EXTENSIVELY reworked with many major corrections to tiling, height fields, target areas and the usual visual upgrades. Be it known, that the original campaign will most likely be VERY broken by all the terrain upgrades. Those that can, are encouraged to make the necessary changes to match this upgrade (it's included in this download). ==Please note: this terrain needs the SF2:E GermanyCE cat to fully operate, as several items on the map are only in that terrain cat. So, as stated in the header, Fully Merged or SF2:E REQUIRED.== *Be Advised! There are NO /Objects included with this package -- unfortunately, it put this terrain zip over the allowed limit of 500,000k. They are being released separately. *Geophysical Disclaimer: some rivers and other water features may not follow their Real Life (tm) courses, be placed in their Real Life (tm) locations, or exist at all. Several cities, other physical features and target areas will also fall into that classification. Due to some height field irregularities, some major airports are also NOT present. If added, the "flattening" would have changed the landscape too much for my liking. Some target areas (cities, etc.) exist only as named places, with no strategic or tactical values. This terrain is also =NOT= set as a Naval Map (meaning: no _water bmp with proper CV zones), even though there are several regional powers with aircraft carriers that would be usable. Before I explain about the pack, I want to express big thank to the wonderful communities and modders of Combatace and Combat Flight Sim Tavern (Discord), including Thirdwire for the simulation. You all are the reasons why this pack exists. I want to use the passions to improve SF2 into next level with avionics. This requires a lot of research, reading flight manual, and tons of tweaking the texture, and avionics and cockpit ini, along with countless of testing in-flight in SF2. The mods is not perfect, we do our best with the mods. We do it with the joys of our hobbies! This pack includes the following features: - New gunsight / optical sight - New texture for radar, RWR, and another avionic equipment - Improved cockpit and radar through cockpit and avionics ini tweaks for semi-realism (See note #2) - Improves glass texture (If possible) - Accessibility - Optional, includes the AAM firing cue on gunsight for people who can not hear the sounds of missile locking on targets. - Improved night lights inside cockpits - Tweaks to the view angle around cockpit NOTE #1: As mentioned in note #1, due to little resources (Information / data) on early cold war era radar, at least half or most of tweaks are based on an educated guess. For exampe, AN/APG-33 radar that is used with E-1 FCS in F-89B and C, there are some data on it, but no data on elevator nor azimuth angle limitation. ---------------------------------------------------------- ----------------- HISTORICAL VS FICTIONAL ---------------- ---------------------------------------------------------- Avionics overhaul for Historical vs fictional aircraft I am dong overhaul for both historical and 'what if' fictional aircraft.     Mirage F-1CG. This mod is dedicated to BPAO, nothing would have been possible without him. Greece operated 40 Dassault Mirage F1CG single seat aircraft. F1CG was first ordered in 1974 and entered service with the Hellenic Air Force in 1975. The aircraft were used by 334 Squadron and 342 Squadron. Mirage F1CG was armed with the Sidewinder AIM-9P missile, rather than the most commonly used Matra Magic II, and it could carry four AIM-9Ps, rather than just two.
