TFDtool v0.99 was uploaded a minute ago. The errors you described are fixed now. Actually that was the only half the work. I had to improve the downscaling, since the planning map of the Bering Strait map had a bad moire pattern. There is a weighed downscaling of all planning maps now. See image. PS: Any future change of TFDtool will flip the version to 1.00. Which seems like it means something, but it is just a coincidence.

Frigging Heck Geezer - you are like an Aircraft Production Factory all by yourself............ But I must say that these new aircraft will be most welcome. Thanks Geezer for these new machines, much appreciated. RUSTY

You catched another bug there, thanks for pointing that out. I wont bore you with what caused it, but it is fixed in the new v1.00 of TFDtool. I made the planning map generation a little faster, and updated the manual a little.

Heh - Laton's old CL4 is one of my first 3D models! Back when I was using my many years of drawing board and CAD drafting experience to learn 3dsMax, Laton agreed to map and release the CL4. By my current standards, it needs modernizing. At that time, I'll probably modify the wings and details to make a CL2.

I work with VonS, who is developing some very sophisticated FMs for these aircraft. He also suggested a new Sopwith Triplane/Pup, in addition to a new Caproni Ca 3. I would also like to hear from Stephen1918 to ensure we do not duplicate each other's efforts.

Does anyone know what the closest FS paint number is to the French F8F Bearcat? I've seen examples ranging from Light Blue to dark Navy Blue. I realize paint may have changed from unit to unit or because of weathering. I'm looking for the 'most' used color of the late 40's-early 50's.

Depending on the complexity and references, 200-300 hours. But, once completed, the models can often be modified to make a different aircraft faster than before. Samples below: the Nieuport 17 and Pfalz D8 are developing faster because I can use many parts from the Nieuport 24 or Pfalz D3.

And a new Caproni Ca.3! And some others - such as Avro 504, DeHavilland D.H.4 or Ansaldo S.V.A. 5. They are better than those already available for the game!

OK thanks for explaining. I can now see the bug with the emboss 4x function. It is indeed not smart enough to handle more exotic tilemap/heightmap ratios. I will try to improve the procedure in the coming week.

Well I'm very impressed with your work, and the amount of time you spend on doing it! :) Well done!!!

Sorry, my last post was not specific. According to an internet search, Fairfax Connector bus number 983 will take you from the Metro station to the Udvar Hazy center. The entire trip (bus and train) should cost you less than $10 per person. The trains/buses are more expensive during peak commuting hours.

Stratos, a taxi would be quite expensive. You can take the Washington Metro (subway/light rail system) to the Reston East station, then take the Fairfax Connector bus line to go from the station to the Udvar Hazy center. I have not used this particular bus line, as I live within driving distance. However, I can assure you that the metro/bus system in this area is safe and efficient. The Udvar Hazy facility is BEAUTIFUL. You should allow plenty of time to see all of the aircraft and spacecraft. I hope your wife is a patient person, or also an aviation fanatic, like many of us on this site. Buen viaje, y mandame un mensaje por este pagina si tienes mas preguntas. Vivia un tiempo en Sudamerica y hablo castellano.

Also been tinkering with the Caudron R11, and have a question for experts on French WW1 camo. Note the metal fittings in the shot of the M-S Type AI - is the blue-gray paint typical?
