7 pointsTAC F-104C Starfighter in flight...thanks to my friend Soulfreak
-
6 pointsfirst one converted ...(now uses stock SF2 jpg skins - can't really reuse the originals, as there was some mapping changes from SF1 to SF2.) Using (most of) Mytai's decals. I made some small changes, as the Modex also has the intake and ejection warnings; removed them from the decals also tweeked the loadout ini, adding back the wing tanks (but left the Mk.4 gunpod -which wasn't used much afaik-, and added manual wingfold and canopy operation to the data ini. 2 pointsin fact, not only does the map need enough sea room for both fleets, but it must have the NavalMap=TRUE statement in it's main ini, AND have CV zones* designated by their respective colors on the ***_water.bmp (see the IcelandNA map or my Waterworld for examples) *=CV zones should be at least 200km in diameter, as that's the distance the Naval Search (Hawkeye's) aircraft operate at, and should be at least another 100km apart beyond the AWAC orbit zones.

2 pointsMy goodness, Geezer, these are of such a high standard. I am struggling for words. All this work deserves to be known to so many more than is the case. Thank you.

2 pointsWe are also experimenting with improved pilots. Shot of first test batch below. Odd numbered pilots have a "normal" scarf. Even numbered pilots have a winter scarf. Per VonS' suggestion, the torsos are somewhat narrow so they will fit in all existing aircraft.

1 pointGlad to help! Mytai did an awful lot of research on these, even though there's only 12 Modex & serials per aircraft, they are 100% historically correct. some years back, I wanted to convert his entire set to SF2, did a couple, but than left it hanging. But I'll get these, and maybe some others...?? It'd be a crying shame to let them all get lost. the real hard part is to figure out WHICH F-4B to use them on. Back in the day (SF1) there was just the one F-4B (1962-1974). In SF2 we've got 3! F-4B (1961-1965) F-4B_65 (1965-1968) F-4B_67 (1967-1977) *77 is for usmc So I"m matching the skins to the closest dated model below, Silver Kings, 1968 (F-4B_67)

1 pointwell, if you don't have SF2NA, you don't get the NA ships. Period. in a full 5 merged install (meaning: all installs) ALL the ships are available in their respective service dates. (just look in you /Ground Objects folder; you'll see them) as the LODs are no longer available for extraction, having the inis is of no use without them

1 pointSkyHussars R12 is available: Due to my limited free time, I was able to include only a handful of features. Enemies are flying again, there are some improvements in physics, there are some features which are making progress in the background. The main problem at the moment that the controls are too sensitive, something that I should fix soon. The other thing is that in case of negative aoa it easy to loose control of the plane, I suspect an issue with the damping code again. New features: Initial TerrainEd UI Projectiles physics are in sync with rest of the physics Small deadzone to joystick Save As… functionality for PlaneEd AI planes won’t fall from the sky when a new game is started Preparation for selectable maps Reorganized PlaneEd UI, moved telemetry panels to the right Please watch the release video here: Release and source code available here: https://github.com/ZoltanTheHun/SkyHussars/releases/tag/R12

1 pointHeh, I love the research you have done on this. Gotta great story about Anzani radials. Back in the 1970s/80s, the Santa Paula, CA airport was a haven for old civilian aircraft, much like Chino was a haven for old military aircraft. One sunny afternoon there, I had a conversation with an old geezer who owned a 1920's single-seater that was a rough equivalent to the Piper Cub. I don't remember the type, but I do remember it's Anzani three cylinder radial. The owner had welded retaining braces to the cylinder heads because they had a habit of blowing off the engine! He said he had been forced down three different times because of the Anzani blowing cylinder heads!

SF2 WW2 ETO Bristol Beaufort Mk.1 (DAT) = For SF2 (Full4/5 Merged RECCOMENDED!) **This mod -MAY- work in 1stGen game installs. But this has not/cannot be tested by me. ** This pak contains mods for the Dev A-Teams Bristol Beaufort Mk.1 as seen in Western Europe (ETO) from 1940 (ish) onwards. This is a semi-complete aircraft mod, and as per DAT directives, the aircraft lod is =NOT= included. So, those users that cannot access the DAT downloads, you're advised to skip this, as it's of no use to you. Everything else is included. Those users with access, will be transfering the lod from either a seperate DAT download of the Beaufort or from their WoA game install/mods folder. This mod has been built and tested with the BeaufortMk1_R3.LOD (dated 8/7/2005) from their WW2 Aircraft Downloads section. You =WILL= need that, to copy/paste into THIS aircraft's folder. It should be noted the Mk1_R3.lod is the same as that's available in their WoA mod. End Users that have the original aircraft, either from WoA or seperate downloads are advised =NOT= to install this package over an existing aircraft folder. See "To Install" for full explicit instructions. The skins included herein are for UK (ETO) based squadrons ONLY!! They are: No. 42 Squadron, Costal Command (code:AW) No. 217 Squadron, Costal Command (code: MW) Both in standard Temperate Day Scheme for the time period (dark earth/dark green). 42 Squadron carriers Sky unders, and 217's unders are Special Night. The skins have been partly repainted, and remain in their bmp format. New decals were created as needed for serials, plane-in-group letters and others. The serials are 'generic' in nature, as they represent no particular aircraft within the units depicted, but ARE for the model variant represented. Weapons (Torpedos) ARE included; the gun & RAF bombs you should have already. It should be noted there are 2 versions of the Mk.XII torp -- one standard, and one experimental SF2NA style "cruise missile". It set up for the standard version; the NA style is for other modders to experimentate with. Testing was done in my ETO mods folder built from the SF2NA exe, and I've noticed no real difference (other than the CM torp tends to miss and explode beyond the target) See the "Notes" section for operational instructions for (semi) proper torpedo attack profile. All fuselage markings are decals (wing roundels remain painted on); this will allow super easy creation of other squadrons by simply creating a new SCode or **(2letter) decal, and decal randomization is set to TRUE. All the 1stGen Hangar and Loading screens were either rebuilt to SF2-spec, or created new for this package. They are in jpg format, and fit SF2 styling. Damage textures are new, in DDS format. The FM, based off the Beaufort in the Wings Over Africa Total Conversion Mod, may need further small adjustments. But it flys fine for me! :) Remember, it's a BOMBER!!, not a fighter plane!! Fly accordingly!!! As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. PLEASE read them!!! All the original DAT readmes are included, for historical and ownership/copyright purposes. Good Hunting! wrench kevin stein -

SF2 WW2 ETO Bristol Blenheim Mk.IV Skin Pak (DAT) -- Something for the WW2 ETO players -- = For SF2 ONLY, Full-5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred) = This pack contains 2 new skins for the Dev A-Team's Bristol Blenhiem Mk.4. *Note you MUST have access to the DAT downloads to get the aircraft. If you do not have access, do NOT download this mod, as you'll be unable to make use of it.* New skins, from a (not so fantastic) Home Grown Template , now give you standard RAF European Day Scheme camo from the 1940-late 41 time frame. The aircraft is finished in the standard Light Earth/Dark Green with Sky Unders. Squadrons represented: No. 105 (code GB) No. 107 (code OM) Skins remain in their bmp format (and are a bit on the LARGE size -2048x). End users that wish to may convert to jpg or resize as necessary. Decal randomization is set to TRUE. Both skins make use of a 'pool' of plane-in-group letters and serial numbers. Serials ARE historiclly accurate for the Mk.IV, but represent no particular unit. Also included, never before released Hangar and Loading screens. REMINDER: there is nothing in here but skin maps, decals and their associated inis. You'll need the aircraft itself from the DAT downloads, either the seperate aircraft, or the one in the Wings Over Africa all-inclusive mod. As always, fairly easy to follow, detailed install instructions are included. Please READ them. Good Hunting!! wrench kevin stein
