2 pointsIf nothing else, DCS World can be used to make some awesome videos. Who could have imagined how far PC graphics would come so quickly and how much time, effort, and money people would put into the models and textures to achieve such realistic and beautiful results? I prefer flight modeling and systems modeling detail/accuracy over graphics, but if I can have everything, I will take it all! As Queen once sang, I want it all and I want it now! I can't wait to get the F-4E. But one hole in the US lineup is the F-15. DCS now has very detailed modules for the rest of the "teen" series. The current F-15C is extremely fun to fly because the flight model is comparable to the other modules, but the Flaming Cliffs simple avionics can't compare to using fully modeled clickable cockpits in VR. I know most people want the latest best aircraft and would rather have an F-22 or F-35. But I would rather have the early IOC versions of the F-14A, F-15A, F-16A, and F/A-18A as these were the state of the art aircraft I grew up with that replaced my beloved F-4 and they had quite a few ugly warts that make them more interesting to fly and fight: engine problems, radar and ECM issues, etc. Not to mention missiles that were at best marginally better than what we finished Vietnam with. Fortunately, Heatblur plans to provide the F-14A. But I doubt we will ever see any other early variants of the "teen" series.

The Tupolev Tu-98 (NATO reporting name Backfin) was a prototype swept wing jet bomber developed by Tupolev for the Soviet Union. Not that much info since this was a prototype. Hence a few modifications where made by me.Using B-58 cockpit. If anyone cares to correct them, be my guest. Also I included and extra lod with alternate mapping. 3D Model (Veltro2k) Cockpit credit goes to the creator unzip ad folders to their appropiate places...have fun THIS MODEL IS ONLY TO BE DISTRIBUTED AS FREEWARE AND IN NO OTHER CIRCUMSTANCE SHALL IT BE USED, EVEN IN PART OF ANYTHING THAT IS PAYWARE. IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE COMBAT ACE MODDERS AGREEMENT -

1 pointnope technically not even the right branch it was (VERY) loosely styled off of USAF CPT Scott O'Grady's F-16 being shoot down in 95. https://theaviationgeekclub.com/f-16-down-scott-ogrady-explains-how-he-was-shot-down-over-bosnia/ he wasnt too happy with the movie and actually sued 20th Century Fox over Owen Wilsons portrayal of him (esp when the studio was claiming the film to be true to life)
-
1 pointCool, I'll have to watch the movie again to get the stuff right, but I'll get it up ASAP.
-
1 pointI still have that skin, the movie squadron was "VFA-163" and so on. I can set it up if you want it.
-
1 pointHi Eric, welcome home, and loving the new skins. I may be misremembering, but did you once post a WIP of an F/A-18F skin from Behind Enemy Lines? It's been a while since I saw the movie but think it had an NJ tailcode. No idea what the squadron was, but I'm guessing it wasn't one that actually flew over Bosnia?

This is the F/A-18C version of VFA-94 on its 2005 cruise. The FA-18 series by the Hornet Team is required for this skin, and drop this skin in the FA-18C_03 directory and go fly. The VFA-195 decals are required (should be part of the pack already) for the correct modex for the aircraft. -

This skin represents the line jets of VFA-94 in May 2019. All necessary files are included, and the folder layout is just as it needs to be, with all the appropriate directories laid out for installation. In the drop down menu for the aircraft, select VFA-94 2019 and go fly -

This is a skin depicting the CAG jet of VFA-136 during I believe 2011 or so. Since I'm going off of a few reference shots (thanks to Svetlin for a handy reference file) it is the best I can manage with what I have, so it should be close enough. Simply add to the FA-18E_BlkII folder and go fly. Name on the dropdown menu is VFA-136 CAG 2011 -
