The Avro Shackleton is a British long-range maritime patrol aircraft (MPA) which was used by the Royal Air Force (RAF) and the South African Air Force (SAAF). It was developed by Avro from the Avro Lincoln bomber, which itself had been a development of the famous wartime Avro Lancaster bomber. During its later life, a small number of the RAF's existing Shackletons received extensive modifications in order to adapt them to perform the airborne early warning (AEW) role. The type continued to be used in this support capacity until 1991, when it was replaced by the Boeing E-3 Sentry AEW aircraft. These were the last examples of the type remaining in active service. I had posted in microsoft forum here but wondered if a modder would take a stab at bringing this in to our sim? Already out for FSX just not sure about permissions and if feasible conversion. http://royalefrenchnavy.restauravia....ations.htm#Avi

textureset.ini way is fine... if repainting say c47 copy its base textures to the new folder....when finished painting...just go to your new skin folder select the texture youve redone.and "save as".....ensres its exact same format... just ensure if plane uses a bmp its format you save in is....24/ 16 m depth\colours or jpeg if jpeg.. make sure the textures added to the planes main ini ie.....C-47A.ini...if you follow the steps you cant or shouldnt go wrong. I have to agree that all of this seems to be a money grab. Thirdwire made it clear years ago that they were no longer paying any attention to these titles as they were only going to focus on mobile gaming from now on. Up until that point, I was hoping that Thirdwire would come out with a multiplayer patch or maybe upgrade for the SF2 series. Many people have discarded this title because it is not multiplayer, but the modders have made enough eye candy to keep it around for those who really enjoy it. It is good to see that it might be getting a facelift out of the DirectPlay realm and into a more multiplayer friendly api. However, I am not so certain that Thirdwire is going to put the extra effort in on getting the newer version multiplayer capable. I am also still kind of confused as to why only Wings Over Europe made it to Steam and not Wings of Israel or Wings Over Vietnam.

Still they have abandon the product and they still make alot of money cause of the modders. It's a 6/10 with the help of community it went to 9/10. If there were no modders the game would be long forgotten. But still they could make a modern better game if they add vr support and the sales will be sky high again for an old game. But they refuse to go back to the game. As they say on their fb page they prefer the easy money from mobile games.
