you can try to slice polys in this area and change smoothing groups to polys (at least two different) then you should achieve a sharp edge without many complications.

The first test in-game, not everything is included only the parts that I mapped. I am still changing some textures until I find the perfect match. ;) This is my reference photo:

Different models have different buttons depending on which animation slot the model maker used. You should read the readme. Or use a fixed refuelling probe like on the A-6! As others have said, you can't actually refuel but you can practice flying close to a tanker and immersing yourself in the storyline of the mission you're flying. And take some nice screenshots too please..

Nope, not a torpedo launcher. Torpedo launchers are usually placed at the side, so that the torpedo launches straight over water. Too risky to launch a torpedo from the middle of the ship's deck. Hope this helps: Source: https://i.redd.it/ffmn0da1pml11.jpg

It is indeed an interesting theatre of War, with many possibilities, I would be tempted though, to veer away from the Excepted norm, as we see it today, Ie. Paran is Red Force, therefore they MUST be supplied and equipped by the "Evil Empire" As the 2 countries are fictional, it therefore follows , that the equipment scales, and suppliers of their equipment, can also be fictional. My Vision for Paran in particular, was one of the Country being ruled by factions, a bit similar to the Japanese during WWII. So for the Navy , the C in C of the Navy, may not like or want what the Air Force or the Army use, Sort of a tribal arrangement , deliberately done by Parans leader/Sheik/Mahdi, or whatever you envisage him ( or even Her ) as, to keep the factions at odds with each other , so no one group, can rebel and take over the country.....I hope I am explaining this well. So, by that coin, the Airforce may be using Soviet kit, for example, and the Chief of the navy hates the Russians, and does not trust their equipment and training, and prefers let us say, for arguments sake, British aircraft, and therefore equips the Navy with those aircraft. Maybe it is a little over complicated, but then, Arab politics do tend to get like that. Of course you can go with the way things are in the real world, but my argument, or rather, suggestion, is to be creative, and not follow the accepted Status Quo.

It's not easy to do it in the model at this stage I can make it with eh texture of something like this this is just a fast job. also adding shadow to it will make it look the same. ;)

do take a look at the skins I did a while back for Paran and Dhimar aircraft, including a Canadair Sabre, they were early works from myself, so not as good as some of my newer offerings, however they may be a good tool for you to glean some ideas from. I am really miffed that all my library of skins is inaccessible at the moment as I would love to give you a hand with some of the skins. As I said take a look at my back catalogue and see what you can extract ideas wise. Like I said, I would love to do my Elbonia/Slobogia thing, and base them on Finnish and Swedish, maps with some North Atlantic thrown in for good measure. However, a lot of it is beyond my scope, as I am unable to do any modelling, and I am buggered if I am going to splash out a small fortune on 3DS Max !! I look forward to seeing what ideas you do come up with, as I feel that the whole idea of using theoretical nations adds a lot to this sim, as that way we are not bound by recorded or actual history.

Okay, but if your first video is representative of your gunnery skills, then checking six is a good idea. You sound like you're describing the way IJN Zero pilots thought their heniri-komi maneuver couldn't be countered. A bandit has no need to turn a tighter loop, they can shoot you on your way up without the threat of you reversing whilst going uphill. I'd much prefer shooting a guy going uphill rather than one going downhill where I risk getting my nose buried beneath the horizon. But I'll defer to your experience.

on top of unstable China in the 60s, China in the 90s and beyond is more likely to align with Paran, if only to offset US/UK influence in the region. the Soviet Union first and formost is a Parani ally because they practally gave away weapons to anyone who would pay lip service to the international socialist dialect, even if those supplied didnt really truly go for it. post 1992, its all about the cash to clarify Finlands situation, they were severely restricted in what they could do militarily after WW2 by the "peace" treaty with the Soviet Union. havent looked it up, but if they could only have a certain number of fighters, and werent allowed until the late 60s/early 70s to even put heat seeking missiles on them (no radar guided until after 1992 and no more Sovviet Union) i do believe they would not be allowed to have an aviation industry allowed to do more than repair work. the French is in Dune: you haz the coin they has the weapons. but they watch out just enough for their closer allies that they will have difficulties with delivery or tell on what they did (Exocet deliveries in 82, KARI intel in 91) in all things, keep an eye on realpolitik; as was said in the past nations dont have friends, they have interests. its true esp in the Middle East. Dhimar is Saudi Arabia (with a differrnt government), they want the best weapons and strong allies to protect from the menacing neighbor. For that matter, if you have them independantly competent rather than bringing in mercs they are like Iran before 1979. Paran is a more aggressive Syria or Egypt; has some resources but wants more and is willing to sell their soul to get it. the major nations want oil and influence, while the smaller nations want oil. Tech transfer is nice and all, but its a major shift to have Middle Eastern nations with major industry, even fictional flight sim ones. Hell, its actually a big coin flip to have the really rich ones doing the heavy defense lifting on thier own (again, look at SA) i have had my own vision of how the Dhimar/Parani conflict looks for a few years. but other projects and real life say it'll be a few more years before they see light of day just my two dinar on the subject

No disrespect intended, it's generally considered good form to look behind you (check six) periodically, especially when you're tied up in a close-quarters fight. IMHO there is no way to know if the enemy on your tail is "fast and persistent" without looking for him. In the case of your video, you simply performed a blind (WRT to the shooter) loop. If your bandit was not AI, and was "fast and persistent" he would simply follow up uphill and gun your brains out or relax the g he's pulling near the apex and stay above you. That's what we taught and tried to practice (it was very hard to keep this discipline when closing for a gun kill on an F-15). Again no disrespect, but you have a SPAD out front (not necessarily your bandit) because there was another at your two o'clock (in a level turn) that may have been your bandit. Once I'm in a turning fight I have a terrible time searching for bandits in this wonderful air combat simulation. The darn wings get in the way and pretty much result with us 1GCCFPs (1 G Comfy Chair Fighter Pilots) performing HUD BFM. That's when we're maneuvering so as to keep the bandit near the gun cross. But it doesn't keep me from checking six. To answer your poll, I'd go with other. I do try to use the vertical to get above a bandit, but in a defensive maneuver against one on my six my tendency is a level or descending break/hard turn. If the AI would try to loop when out in front of my guns, I would follow him uphill. Good question!

Not yet. Gonna give it until after the holiday. what I'm concerned with, is how XWA structures missions. Unlike XWvTF you HAVE to finish the campaign mission to continue on. And adding missions (like in XvT to the various lst files), you can't access them until -once again- you've completed all the stock compaigns/missions. but it looks AAAAAAMAZING!!!!!!!

the PRC is not going to be a major player until the mid-60s -- at the earliest. It was too unstable internally, and Mao was busy with the myriad of 5 Year Plans. So, not "j-series" birds or AFVs until probably around 1970. Think proxy suppliers (Sovs via Bulgaria or something like that) -- i remember the TinTin cartoons, what few we got here! my fav was the moon flight. cool rocket!!

much as you wont like hearing it, yes: uninstall it. the pack was made to add missing assets to the game and to set difficulties to be between more realistic (air defenses arent gone in one mission) to criminally insane (the Russian brochure performance for the systems, where you are both super skilled and damn lucky if you survive one mission) many of our mods are not set for making the game easier; rather many modders on here either seek to be historically accurate, add things not available in stock, and make it more challenging besides, if you want to take em all out in one mission, use theold SAC method

As an aside to kill time until I get my rudder pedals back up, back in the day, this was the bomb!I Fly the full war from both sides. Paint your plane one of four exciting colors! We didn't need no HOTAS setup, we had the arrow keys! How do you know with those graphics how close to the ground you are? Well, if you see black dots everywhere, you are pretty close! Flying the Camel almost upside-down in a left-handed turn? That's just what you had to do when using the keyboard for a rudder! And Zeppelins! Zeppelins!!! Truly amazing and really nothing could fully replace it until WOFF came along!
