7 pointsAn early export customer for the Convair F/A-201 Kestrel was the IDF/AF. Naturally they were upgraded with Israeli electronics and eventually weapons also. In Israeli service the type was nicknamed 'Lavi' (Young Lion)...

2 pointsit works on all cockpits, regardless of Gen1 or NextGen. TK never changed the mesh names, that i'm aware of, from sf to sf2. make use the ]insturment number[ is listed, and then add the 'move' statements at the end. Never used the 'inactive' command, so if Nyghtfall says it work, take that as gospel!!!

1 pointGood to hear that. Unfortunately ini-edits don't work with LODviewer...you have to fire up SF2 for every small bit you changed to check. I'm currently rearranging a cockpit too and in the last week I started SF2 more than in the whole last year. You can use LODviewer for measuring the approximate distances though, if you move instruments around on the panel.

1 pointMaybe change the WarshipClass to another type you can add more carriers, but not support plane operations??
-
1 pointNot possible in game generated missions, AFAIK. You can edit missions with TW's mission editor and force two carriers in the same battle group (the same can be probably forced in campaigns), but the game's default behavior is that a battle group contains only one carrier. I don't want to discourage your plans of reworking your previous Midway, but there's a new one made from scratch and with high-res textures, rather complete for a release: https://combatace.com/gallery/album/1264-midway-north-pacific/ However, yours is still a better fit for WW2. The one linked above is adapt for the Cold War and contemporary era, Midway's Sand Island changed much after WW2.

1 point"Inactive" works, but only for SF2. For reference, you can have a look at my A-4PTM-mod. I have used all kinds of stuff to change the look of the cockpit ("inactive" for radarscreen and all kinds of "move" and "rotate" to shuffle the instruments around).

1 pointRoger that - Thanks to you both for the quick reply, will keep workin it.
-
1 pointNot Wrench, but maybe this helps: In the aircrafts cockpit.ini Add Instrument[xxx]=LABS_timer in the upper part, where xxx is the next free number and [LABS_Timer] Type=INACTIVE NodeName=labs_timer at the bottom to remove the thing labeled LABS TIMER in the cockpit. Don't know, what you mean with insterments gauge though.

1 pointDear Friends, In today’s DD we want to show you some screens featuring our new cloud technology and renderer. We have been working on new clouds for a few months and we now have some WIP results we can show you. As you can see, they look more natural and have more variety and are larger than our previous clouds. They also have localized rain showers and react well with the lighting creating a beautiful scene. While other teams out there have more resources than we do to make amazing clouds, our new clouds are the work of just two motivated people on the Sturmovik Team (Sergey and Isay). And soon we’ll be working with community member and friend rowdyb00t who has previously made some cool cloud mods with our current technology. This new cloud technology has great potential and of course it will take some artistic talent to make it look it’s best. They should also offer better visuals with no loss of performance over the current technology, at least that’s what we see in early testing. We think you’ll like these new clouds and we’ll work to get these to you as soon as we can. The technology is being perfected as we speak and we will begin work on making the new cloud content shortly. Then they will go into testing with release hopefully in a few months. Enjoy! The Sturmovik Team

il-38N "May" The Il-38N is an adaptation of the four-engined turboprop Ilyushin Il-18 for use as a maritime patrol aircraft for the Soviet Navy. It meets a requirement to counter American ballistic missile submarines. The Communist Party Central Committee and the Council of Ministers issued a joint directive on 18 June 1960, calling for a prototype to be ready for trials by the second quarter of 1962. The fuselage, wing, tail unit and engine nacelles were the same as the Il-18 and it had the same powerplant and flightdeck. An aerodynamic prototype of the Il-38 first flew on 28 September 1961,with the first production aircraft following in September 1967. Production continued until 1972, when the longer range and more versatile Tupolev Tu-142 derivative of the Tupolev Tu-95 strategic bomber had entered service. This is the Improved variant sometimes referred to as Il-38SD for Sea Dragon the new search and tracking system.
