Skins pack 6 is out. Here are some of the skins, more pictures are on the Mods Release thread, I had to split them between the two posts to get them all on this forum.

My first flight sim was Flight Simulator 4.0 from 1989 (I got it in 1992 when it still was the last MS flight sim), so I went in to civilian simulators. The same year (1992) I got Chuck Yeager's Air Combat from 1991, I loved and enjoyed a lot that sim, so I went into military flight sims. After a lot of sims played in the years now I fly FS 2020 and DCS mostly Anyway, I keep in my PC SF2 and il-2 1946 installed because the great variety of eras and planes you can fly.

PS: I can advice you to take a little more time to check the whole site and placing your next question(s) in the appropriate thread. The site isn't a maze in regards to the forums and downloads. Enjoy

Sgt. Elijah Gallagher. 8RFC, Marieux. Sept. 10, 1915 It had been a rough week for the squadron. Gallagher and Colbey had visited Doullens on the afternoon of the 6th. The two pilots were looking for pure pleasure and they found it in a part of town that had seen better days. Upon entering the building, neither of them were not expecting much. Everyone knew the prettiest women worked where the officers were. This was definitely not what one would call high class. “Good thing this place is all smoked upl” Gallagher said. “Kind of hard to see clear.” Colbey chimed in, “After a few pints, you be seein’ clear enough lad!” Colbey stopped in his tracks and exclaimed “Bless me! I see mine right in front of me!” Gallagher looked ahead at two women sitting at a table. The one on the left looked like she might be 4’-2” and maybe just as tall! The one on the right was not the prettiest gal Gallagher had layed eyes on but she was built like a brick outhouse! “Couldn’t have picked a better one my friend! Go in for a landing!” Gallagher said to his friend. Colbey strutted forward and pulled up a chair next to the big one and draped an arm around her. Gallagher was stunned! “I guess he likes the healthy ones!” He thought. “Bet she could pull a plow with the best of’em!” Gallagher walked over to the other lady and asked, “Mind if I have a seat Mam?” Colbey burst out in laughter. “She no understood a word ye say lad, sit ya butt down!” They walked back to Marieux as happy as two young men could be. On the 8th, Gallagher would join Lieutenant Miller with Douglas as flight leader for a special recon mission. The took off before first light and Gallagher got separated right out of the gate! “This is goin’ south quick!” he thought. He flew to the climb out point and low and behold found Douglas. To say he was relieved would be a major understatement! They reached the lines west of Bapaume and started the mission. Goon was leaning over the side making notes when a search light hit them both in the eyes. Gallagher was temporarily blinded! He felt the panic in his throat. He could taste it! “Get it together boy!” He told himself. His sight returned and he calmed a bit but he had lost Douglas again! “And where is Miller?” he asked himself. Then the Archie found them. It most likely was not any worse than usual but in the dark, the flash was bright and menacing. Gallagher could feel the fear in his chest but made himself remain calm as he and Goon continued alone. Finally Goon signaled for him to return and Gallagher pointed the machine home as fast as he could. As they crossed back over the lines, he relaxed a bit but was wondering what happened to everyone. He then saw Douglas to the south and joined up. Upon landing he learned Miller and Roberts had both been killed when their machine crashed after takeoff. He never saw a thing. The next day, Colbey had left with the afternoon patrol and never returned. A Direct hit by Archie! As Gallagher sat on his cot that night, looking at the empty bunk across from him, he thought over the last 3 months. “I’m going to miss you my friend” he thought.

Looks like the "E" will come this year. They said they will do more variants, I hope they will also do a F-4F.

It is about time. Too many years without my favorite aircraft. Until this release, SF2, essentially a 20-year old game, is still the best F-4 combat flight simulator available despite being only a "lite" sim. If you are happy pushing buttons there are a couple of decent F-4 options for MSFS/P3d, but their usefulness is limited in a civil flight sim, even with VRS TacPack providing basic radar and weapons functionality. Heatblur's F-14A is one of the best modules in the game. While the "Jester AI" isn't perfect, it generally works well enough that it is far better than having no AI at all. Of course, having a real human RIO is much better and more fun. It is only natural that Heatblur would produce the F-4 since there is so much overlap in functionality and operations. I can't wait to get the F-4E and then see which variant they will be working on next.

Sorry W. Woman, I missed your post. Pack 4 is part of the 2nd Mod "More Skins by Jerbear" As of now there are three packs in User Skins by Jerbear, Pack 1 2 and 3, now there are Pack 4, 5 and 6 in More Skins by Jerbear. Here are what few pictures this forum will allow me to post from the New Pack 6 and a redone skin from Pack 2 for Hans Bohning ( the blue and white diamond pattern) All three Mods have additions and changes so need to be downloaded again to get the changes and new skins, Alternative, User Skins and More skins by Jerbear.

Welcome! Be aware that this might become somewhat of an addiction. Regarding the vision, I use a cheap ass stick (I just read it, a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro) and all that I need for the game, which is quite simple for all it provides, is there or i can use the left hand on the keyboard, including throttle settings and vector, looking around and zooming in and out...Radar and radio controls are left to the keyboard, as you can only switch targets, modes and ranges (no way to slew it, I'm afraid). There are a couple of stock single missions already made for carrier take off and landing, but you can also use the editor (the pencil icon on the single mission screen). You might want to switch for an A-7 or F-14 since the modern HUD works for the AoA, stock Phantoms need a little tweaking IIRC

Complementing what daddy says... the main success of the F-35 is not being a perfectly conceived plane (because it was a disaster in several aspects) but for all that is known (economic pressures, politics, etc.) this was a big problem solved by engineering... and today it flies and performs missions despite 2 decades of work... which makes us think that with money even a broom can be transformed into a 5th generation fighter.... That is why it is the design reference for Koreans, Chinese and Russians (KF-X, J-31 and Chackmate?)

Hi all, Sandbagger has posted an updated WOFF 0 BH&HII - Consolidated Custom Facilities Airfields Mod (Version 2.6). The download and the BH&HII Historically Populated Airfields Mod are available in the 'User Mods Pages' (Airfields). Airfields The page is dated 24th January 2022. The scandal after the incident of Palmdale and the MightyMouse fiasco led to a rush to phase out these air to air rockets. In many cases, it was solved with new interceptors or replacing them with Falcon missiles in existing types, however a very sizeable fleet of F-86Ds was to remain in service for a while and then be passed on to ANG units. Many of those were refitted with new F-86F40 wings (please play along, I kept the tips out of frame) , new electronics, including capability to operate with SAGE, better engine and, most noticeably a new weapons set up, replacing the rocket tray with the cannon arrangement of the F-86Ks and adding Sidewinder missile rails. The redesignated F-86Ls would become the backbone of the ANG during much of the 1960s, with a few being deployed to Vietnam and Thailand to provide air defense against the odd raid and a good adversary to simulate MiG-17s on training.

First attempts to make coast tiles. The buildings are TOD made, taken from Starys Green hell 3.5. The water and the port are new. I'm not really happy with it yet. But it is only a first step of a very long way.

That's true and I'm very glad of the job you're done! I love that finally can use the F-8C with four 'Winders with the VF-24 for example ( love this squadron and made the appropriate change in the number list to have it in the 4xx range of Modex). What I mean is if you or someone else know how work the assignament of the decals to specific squadrons by the game ( I know that can be edited the appropriate lines in the decals inis). As you already knew, the squadrons rotated on the various 27C carriers during the Viet War, and this is a complication for the decals, but have the correct carrier name on the planes will be great ( for other planes also) Last stuèid thing,I'll expect that also the basic F-8C will be able to load the Y rack,is there a specific reason to ignore it? Only couriousity
