Trenches cannot be dug, any more than water can be found, on the Carso, for a spade's depth below the surface the unkindly stone turns to sullen rock, and everything must be drilled and blasted out. For the moment, because spring had been wet, the stones were greened over with false growth of weeds which wither utterly in the summer, leaving the rocks to glare and burn alone. As if all this savagery were not enough, the raw slopes and cusps of desolation were studded with numberless pits and water-sinks, some exquisitely designed by the Devil for machine-gun positions, others like small craters capable of holding eleven-inch howitzers, which opened at the bottom through rifts into dry caverns where regiments can hide - and be dug out.

Today i have seen 5 Chinooks, 17 Apaches and one Black Hawk flying over Saxony. I guess, that they are flying to the NATO exercises in the Baltic states. First a group of 4 Chinooks were flying in line formation along the Bundesstraße 2 northbound. Around a half hour later one heli came back alone and it sounds not really good. He still made it for some kilometers before the Chinook had to perform a field landing near the town of Delitzsch. See attached link to the local newspaper http://www.lvz.de/Region/Delitzsch/US-Militaerhubschrauber-muss-auf-Delitzscher-Feld-notlanden One hour later a formation of 8 Apaches with a UH-60 leader were on the way northbound. Two hours later a formation of 9 Paches and one Chinook was on the way. Sorry for the bad quality of the photos. My mobile phone is from stoneage.

Some progress on the Vietnam Scooters. Focus lies on A-4E and F (B+C still need Cockpit-Repaint). I'm still not sure yet, how to release a first package...Currently I'm at 46 skins with 1,5GB disk space. WHEN ONE REACHED the great Venetian plain near Army Headquarters, the Italian fronts were explained with a clearness that made maps unnecessary. 'We have three fronts,' said my informant, 'On the first, the Isonzo front, which is the road to Trieste, our troops can walk, though the walking is not good. On the second, the Trentino, to the north, where the enemy comes nearest to our plains, our troops must climb and mountaineer, you will see.'

Hi UllyB, thanks for sharing the progress on that project that is welcomed by so many people. Can I point out a few areas? Check the last pics, where the nose pitot connects with the nose, seems that this area isn*t smoothed properly. you can see the edgy 3D mesh there. Another point it, the angle of the whole front intakes, isnt straight as in your model, but slightly angled outward. Check that reference pic, you can see the angle for the intake on the frontal pic Here you can see the angle a bit better on a real plane And check the top part of the intakes, it is a smaller, kind of lip, than the larger edgy are in the current model Check the ladder for the entrance for the pilots and the little slit on the underside of the intakes, im not sure if it closes during faster flight or if it remains open, someone should clarify it If you guys plan to build a pit?!: All pics are taken from this site http://www.themodellingnews.com/2017/05/kittyhawk-are-busy-reworking-refining.html If you have questions or i wasn't clear enough with my comments, just PM as always So far, fantastic work!!! Really cool!

The crusty Navy Master Chief noticed a new seaman and barked at him, "Get over here! What's your name sailor?" "John," the new seaman replied. "Look, I don't know what kind of bleeding-heart pansy crap they're teaching sailors in boot camp these days, but I don't call anyone by his first name," the chief scowled. "It breeds familiarity, and that leads to a breakdown in authority. I refer to my sailors by their last names only; Smith, Jones, Baker, whatever. And you are to refer to me as 'Chief.’ Do I make myself clear?" "Aye, Aye, Chief!" "Now that we've got that straight, what's your last name?" The seaman sighed. "Darling, My name is John Darling, Chief." "Okay, John, here's what I want you to do ...."

One day the four Chiefs of the Armed Forces sat together drinking beer. The Air Force Chief of Staff took a swig and asked... "So who here thinks they have the bravest men under their command?" After much bickering between them, the Air Force Chief of Staff waved his arms. "Let's decide this issue." He turned to an Air Force FIghter and commanded... "Pilot! Get in your F-4, climb to 10,000 feet, dive at mach 2 and crash into the ground!" The pilot did so, too which the Chief of the Air Force replied. "Obviously I won." Next came the Army Chief of Staff who proclaimed..."I don't think so." Turning to a soldier atop an M-1 Tank...the Army Chief of Staff barked "Soldier! Get in your tank, run it into that oil storage tank and blow yourself up!" "Yes Sir!" The soldier replied and did as he was told. The Army Chief of Staff snorted..."Obviously I won." The Commandant of the Marines shook his head...."I don't think so." Turning to a Marine, the Commandant commanded "Marine! Pull out a grenade, pull the pin and blow yourself up!" "YES SIR!" The Marine replied and promptly did what he was told. The Commandant of Marines grunted. "There's bravery for you." For a moment...The Chief of Naval Operations sat silently until he gestured to the rest...."come with me." The Chief of Naval Operations led the other service chiefs to where the USS Nimitz was tied up. "You gentlemen see that sailor way up on the radar mast on the island structure?" The CNO grabbed a bull horn. "Sailor atop the radar mast, this is the Chief of Naval Operations! I order you to throw yourself from the mast right now! Send reply!" It took a few minutes before another Sailor came running up with a note in his hands..."Sir?" He saluted smartly. The CNO opened the note and showed the other service chiefs.... "DUDE! YOU CAN GO F*** YOURSELF SMARTLY!" It said. "Gentlemen? Now there is one brave son of a bitch."

TMF Boeing 707-300 Comprehensive Skinpack This mod will replace the individual skins for the TMF 707 and adds my multi airline skins to it, covering the eras from the early 1960s until the late 1980s and will add some eye candy to your parking ramps or make for interesting intercept and escort targets INSTALLATION This is only a skin pack with some additional items. First you will need the original located here: then unzip and add this mod as well. allow overwrites. You can delete the previous skins if you want, as they are represented in the skin pack IF YOU HAVE YOUR OWN NATIONS.INI, ADD FROM THE GIVEN TEXT FILE. This is for heavily modded installs INCLUDED Decal sets covering most major users from 1959 until 1989 Skins to cover that time period in 9 blocks, with bare metal base skins Nations and Formations ini for the "Airline" nation KNOWN ISSUES Number 1: THIS THING IS BIG! the fuselage tgas are 2048x2048 (working with details over an entire fuselage rather than basic colors and curves) and the biggest sets are representing 32 airlines in their era! So this is not for the small of HDD space Number 2: Due to quirks in the model, and ease for the modder it is not 100% aligned as in RL. the cabin windows are a little lower (which allowed the logos to go one easier), and the curves tend to stop short of the radome. Number 3: this uses the Herc pit to be flyable. I ad it to be able to check the decals, but leave it for those that may want to use it. The pit is a piss poor match however, both with frames blocking and the higher tech than available even into the 80s for civilian birds It is meant as eye candy, not operational missions. Number 4: due to the size of things, some of the lettering is not to legible when you get close to it. Again, eye candy, its meant to be seen from the runway when taking off or on an intercept. If your that close to see "hey it really is fuzzy" you will probably collide. Besides, the thing is huge as is at teh current tga size UNSOLICTED ADVICE I am one of those that likes all encompassing mods. If you have a certain era you would rather focus on, by all means delete the other eras that you don't need. Again this thing is huge, but covers almost every user from 1959 through 1989. CREDITS aircraft model - TMF, BPAo tga, bare metal skin, ini work - daddyairplanes original game -TK test team -allenjb42, Nightshade/PR, yakarov79. they caught a huge tho buried mistake, so many thanks to you guys! Thank you for downloading this mod and i hope you enjoy Kevin Unruh (daddyairplanes) 8 April 2018

I have been playing WoX/Strike Fighters series since 2008 and this is the first time I see something like that... While testing SAMs, a missile hit the skyhawk, didn't explode and wedged on the airframe! The white smoke you see is not contrail but it is produced from missile's engine! Has anyone else experienced something similar?
