Darn it! RavenClaw's let the cat out of the bag! It was going to be a surprise! Seriously though Guys, without Volker's help the project would still be in limbo, now it's going to see the light of day for sure! Hopefully before the summer is out.

Inspired by Geary's great Sea Falcon skin available here at Combatace, I decided to create my own version (hope you don't mind, Geary ) Mitsubishi F-2N Sea Viper, VF-103 "Jolly Rogers", May 2000 I know that the starbar normally is placed at the nose of the plane, but in this case the nose was too overloaded with decals, so I placed where the USAF wears it... (please don't hurt )

SF2 SA-7 Grail / 9K32 Strela-2 MANPADS Pack 1.5 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This pack features the famous SA-7 "Grail". It is a man-portable, shoulder-fired, low-altitude, infrared guided surface-to-air missile system (MANPADS). It is widely exported and has been in use in nearly every regional conflict since 1969. Despite its operational limitations, it has been proved quite effective in the hands of tactical armies and rebel groups. During War of Attrition on 19 August 1969 Egyptian soldiers brought down an Israeli A-4H Skyhawk some miles west of the Suez Canal using Strela-2. According to some sources this might have been the first successful combat use of any MANPADS in history! Following variants are included: 9K32 Strela-2 (SA-7A, 1968) - First variant. 9K32M Strela-2M (SA-7B, 1970) - Improved variant. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ New features: - Updated missiles data which offer more realistic performance - Fuze distances have been increased since the SA-7 had lethality limitations after hitting a target. Now a target can be hit but it may return back home safely - New launch effect and sound ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Known issues: - Due to game engine limitations concering missile guidance, 9M32 (SA-7A) missile's target aspect has been set as Rear 180 despite the fact that in reality it could be fired only at the rear. After massive failed launches it became clear that it was extremely difficult to achieve a single hit by setting 9M32 as Rear 60 even when some other values such as FOV and track rate had been increased. - Helicopters have higher survival rate per hit because in some cases missiles hit the tail rotor without causing significant damage. I guess this is another game engine characteristic. - Low altitude (lower than 600-800m) performance is downgraded for current missile values. By increasing noise rejection the missile becomes capable of hitting targets in lower altitude but at the same time the single shot hit/kill probability is being increased to an unrealistic level. - Fuze distances are longer compared with the actual lethal and damage radius of the system. In SF2 world the real high explosive warhead quantity is big enough to destroy a fighter size target even in 10 meters! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- As always open readme.txt first to see installation instructions and credits. Lot of research and hard work was made to make this SAM as realistic as possible. More than 2000 launches took place! Enjoy as much as you can this mod and leave comments with your in-game experience in the support topic! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- License: This is a freeware; yet it can be redistributed only in other CombatACE mod packages. You are free to make further modifications for own use but if you plan to release a modified version of this package you must request permission first. In that case you must include original read me file. This mod may not in any way, shape or form be used in any payware additions.

AV-8B Harrier II. This is my humble rework of AV-8B. Basic modding skills are required to run this mod. (copy/paste, mod folder structure etc.) It is designed for and works only in SF2 series. Around 2 years ago - January 2016 - KillerBee approach me with the possibility of updating bobrock's harrier. After some time, we had prepared the updated file ready for upload. Small changes here and there corrected few things. And great skins by Killerbee. And then KillerBee disappeared from CA forum. Honestly, up to now, I have no contact with him. last - 4th May 2016. So harrier stayed on drive waiting for his comeback. But .... I couldn't resist...And iI started to mod this again. Since I had no KB skin templates I had to do all new skins...and more. So now I am here... It ended with a new cockpit and a whole set of new skins and decals on whole remodeled 'old' Harrier. - there is no single part of an original model that hasn't be touched/remodeled etc. First of all...If you want to count rivets....Do not. Many things could be done other way....but I did it my way. So you have to bear with it. All skins are in 4096x4096 format. So you can easily resize down. If you have problems running this in game. Resize skins to lower resolutions Decals are based on my and KillerBee research. All serials are correct for the first version of Harrier II. Not always (but mostly) correct for a unit/year of service etc. Big Thanks to Ravenclaw - He send me file with new ALQ-164 pod. Now it is part of the upload. You will find separate upload soon with Operation Desert Storm skins and decals - Only units that participated in the operation. For some reason, I have added weapons that are present in Loadout.ini. Animations: 1= canopy open - close 4= refueling probe - beware of a speed limit ************************************************************************************ for proper sound work you should add these lines into soundlist.ini SoundFilexxx=xxxx SoundFileXXX=USMComm_1 SoundFileXXX=Equalizer [Equalizer] Priority=NORMAL Looped=TRUE NumBuffers=2 3DSound=TRUE DopplerEffect=FALSE MaxDist=1000.000000 MinDist=100.000000 InsideConeAngle=360 OutsideConeAngle=360 ConeOutsideVolume=100 [USMComm_1] Priority=NORMAL 3DSound=FALSE NumBuffers=1 Looped=TRUE FrequencyControl=FALSE ************************************************************************************ Credits. Me - whole sort of strange things - model-re-model, new cockpit, skins, decals, ini files etc. Ravenclaw - BRU-42 ITER models. ALQ-164 model, weapons. 331Killerbee - ideas, good words, research primary work on skins and decals, work on ini files, loadouts, effects etc. Crusaders - help with avionics ini. bobrock- original 3d model - Thank you and thanks to KillerBee. Sounds taken from sources offering free sound samples. Thanks to a lot of people who helped me with this mod...Stratos, Crusader, Geary, gurru, Soulfreak,76.IAP-Blackbird, and others. Thank you all CA users. Yes I know its huge - but I couldn't make it smaller. Be sure to download all 4 parts and optionally - ODS skins/decals set. Enjoy. I enjoyed it much when making this pack. SNR-125 'Low Blow' Sam radar object for SF2 series game. This is mostly eye candy stuff. Just to improve visual side of the game. In this pack, you will find new objects. But no worries nothing needs to be overwritten. Basic modding skills are required to run this mod. (copy/paste, mod folder structure etc.) Mostly this mod is for modders, terrain builders. As some radar settings need to be adjusted for proper working with your installs. Radar family/network type need to be adjusted and associated with your other SAM objects. SA-3 /S-125 family in this case. Also, placement on terrains might be strange sometimes because of construction of the lod. All ini files are beta....mostly to make the object working - rotate radar mast, bend etc. Station is set as SAM radar and is connected to SA-3 radar network I'm hoping someone will do correct ini edits. Only if there are still some modders around here..... So do not complain if something is not working- just edit your way. You have working lod and skins... Basic skins green and tan. All skins are in 2048x2048 format. So you have to resize for your own preferred size. So play with it, and hope someone will do better ini for this. credits: model, ini edits ,skins - me - JH. templates available upon request. regards. These are alternate tiles made from satellite images for the DS terrain included in the latest version of ODS for SF2. They are 1024x1024. They can be used in other terrains that use the stock desert tiles, however I did not make all tiles from the stock SF2 desert tile set, only those used in the DS terrain. For example, I did not create the river tiles.

This is set of satellite based 1024x1024 tiles created for India/Pakistan terrain by Deuces and Wrench Best to be used in dedicated India/Pakistan (AKA "Wings Over India") stand alone mod, but can be added to any install that has India/Pakistan map added into it. This pack assumes you do have installed and tested (flown over at least once) "Indiapak" map. Right now TODs and their placement is as they were for original terrain release, but they do work quite well. Also given the scope of the terrain portrayed and it's physical diversity I had to make some compromises.
