Just had to share this, after shooting the rear gunner in a Hannover CL111 he jumped or was pushed from his rear pit when I had a closer look only his boots were still there.

I've already posted some WIPs and upgrades in the screenshots section for Gterl's superb Italy map. His upgrade to Gepard's Vosges map is equally good, but upgrading it is a bit more complex so I'm starting a dedicated thread for it. Below are a number of WIP aircraft, plus Vosges Refinements which contains upgraded art for many elements already present in Gterl's original release. The contents of Vosges Refinements must be copied into both Gterl's WW1 Vosges folder, PLUS the GREEN folder inside the WW1 Vosges folder. Results shown below. Also included is a copy of my FLIGHT folder containing atmospheric upgrades by Panama Red, Quack74, and VonS. Click images to see hi-res versions. i got a answer from Sophocles , he is still working on the F-5A / F-5B but real life comes first " The project is definitely not dead, real life keeps me away from it for months at a time unfortunately. I have so far completed the basic F-5a variants, the F-5C(skoshi), the Norwegian variants (including different cockpits); the Netherlands F-5a with all its peculiarities (still have to do a dedicated cockpit for this with RWR and moving map)and am now working on the F-5B 2-seater! " i hope he will release some of this aircraft now but i'm afraid they will come as a pack

Hello everybody, After releasing 3.001 update and going wild with the celebration - having 5 work days in a week instead of 7 - we continue the further development. Thankfully, 3.001 release went ok and didn't require any urgent critical hotfixes, which is strange for such fundamental changes, to be honest. Anyway, at this moment we already have around 40 changes and enhancements we plan to release in the next 3-4 weeks. Graphics, Career, AI, multiplayer and some other stuff will be addressed. In parallel, we're developing the next big thing, Bodenplatte. The work on the map, buildings and its first planes has already started. We have a huge task in front of us, but we already got used to big plans and we know how to follow them. Soon we'll tell you about the other projects of IL-2 Great Battles series - the work is going on them as well. Meanwhile, today we can show you the first WIP screenshots of Spitfire F/LF Mk.IXe and Bf 109 G-14 fighters from Bodenplatte aircraft list - we're working on their 3D models and FMs. We plan to start the Bodenplatte Early Access program when they are ready. And here's some "insider's bonus" for you: You can discuss the news in this thread

Ok, I'm stepping into Admin Mode.. If there's been no contact with Sophocles for a "great deal of time" -- for argument's sake, lets say 12 months, given the age of this thread, I would say it's up to the modder with the parts to make the decision on weither to release "as is" or not. Let's give Sophocles some time to respond to Ravenclaw's message, say 7 days, and then the ball is in his (RC's) court. //Admin Mode Off// I do hope we can finally get this bird!!!

Glad you like it. There is still undeveloped potential in FE2, and several of us are working to see how much better we can make the sim. Below are more WIP aircraft. WIP Nieuport17c.rar WIP Pfalz DIIIa.rar WIP Nieuport17cLewis.rar WIP Nieuport23.rar WIP Pfalz D8.rar WIP HalberstadtCLIV.rar

Been busy with Real Life, but began to tweak the sky color using VonS' settings above. I first went to my GPU control panel (NVIDIA GTX970, DX11) to fool around with gamma, brightness, contrast, etc. First adjustment I tried was contrast, which made FE2 images look less flat. First shot below is default contrast at 50%. Second shot below, the only change is contrast increased to 90%. The effects will vary from rig to rig because of differences in monitors, graphics cards, etc but I'll continue to post what I discover. EDIT: For those who want to experiment, below are my FLIGHT and WW1 ITALY game map files. Also attached is the experimental Nieuport 28 for FE2. Do NOT pester me about some stuff not working because it is still a WIP. Also attached are new WW1 pilots. My Flight.rar My Italy.rar WIP N28.rar Pilots.rar

Saab is flying support for ground troops over south Africa, today's task was to destroy a container ship near the coast, evade the SAM's and refuel on the way back to base.

More "Heavy Metal" although it's 1 ton lighter than a P-47D-40, with both at typical clean combat weight.
